Morelos and the private eye, hmm looks very like no smoke without fire! He's so unpredictable anything written about him is possible.

03 Feb 2020 23:26:51
as predictable as you.

03 Feb 2020 18:08:41
I am a big stevie g fan but I really don't understand taking a player from hibs that they clearly don't want.

03 Feb 2020 18:19:37
What’s difficult to understand?
He was their 1st choice striker until he fell out with Lennon and then got injured.
The new Hibs managers went with a different style of play.
We need short term cover up front so this deal suits all parties. 👍.

03 Feb 2020 19:34:32
Mr Pacman u r too sensible mate. Keep it up.

03 Feb 2020 20:13:43
Kamberi a decent player, we needed a striker in fast. Made sense.

03 Feb 2020 20:43:21
Why is it difficult to understand we just don’t have the finances for big name signings we have a good starting eleven if all fit and on form then we have two or three decent players after that we struggle I read on here if SG doesn’t win a trophy he should go but he is trying to win that trophy with one hand tied behind his back, our midfield doesn’t score enough goals we depend on Morelos when he isn’t there or has a bad game we struggle we have Defoe who is 37 years old we just don’t have the strength in depth and that’s down to money look at the jan window two loan players we got ourselves into a great position of being two points behind Celtic with a game in hand it’s then we should have went for it but no last day of window two loan players it’s down to financial restrictions the board have been great but to build a squad strong enough is expensive.

03 Feb 2020 22:29:52
Kamberi is an international player, he is a good player, why are all of those Rangers Fans who criticise him doing so, it's high time every one of got behind the Management Team and the players, yes, they've made mistakes, so has Pep Guardiola, and he's spent a damn site more money than Stevie this season, and, he is a supposed proven quality manager, which he is in my opinion. I'll say again, you can have the best Manager in the world, but once those 11 players cross that line, it's down to them to work their socks off and follow the plan agreed, that's what's not been happening these past 4 games.

03 Feb 2020 23:04:35
Well said irvger, Kamberi will do just fine, the boy definitely has talent and an attitude to win.

04 Feb 2020 09:45:19
Twacoos. You are spot on there. It is a restriction on the money available that is holding us back now. Celtic enjoyed seven years while we were unceremoniously dumped into the bottom tier of Scottish football and they went unchallenged (doesn't say much for the Sheep and other teams) and they enjoyed year after year of Champions League money. SG has brought Rangers back brilliantly and we are nearly there. The lack of strength in depth now seems to be apparent though I do think Hagi could end up being an ace signing. With our full strength 11 including Tavernier, Jack and Morelos, we showed we won't lose many games. A thumping good win tomorrow night will set us back on track and maybe the Steelmen will do us a favour too!

04 Feb 2020 10:33:48
Kamberi definitely doesn’t have the attitude, He was a desperate signing.

04 Feb 2020 13:46:45
Yes Doiger I have high hopes for Hagi I know YouTube isn’t the best place to judge a player but he looks the type of player who could open a defence up could fill that number ten role we have been screening out for let’s see.

03 Feb 2020 18:05:39
I find that after a holiday I struggle to get back to full fitness not that I am a fit guy but when athletes train they tend to train in the same weather they are going to experience, which makes sense to me so going to Dubai in the heat then coming back to freezing weather I don't think works. Course that's only my opinion but could explain two years of sluggish starts to our campaign, what's your thoughts guys, 70sger.

03 Feb 2020 18:20:17
It hasn’t hampered Celtic?

03 Feb 2020 18:25:40
Wish everyone would stop blaming a holiday for the demise it's down to mentality as it don't seem to affect celtic players who also went to Dubai. They get credit for doing well so deserve stick for doing rubbish. I think they thought hard work was done beating celtic but that's only 3 points the same as beating hearts or Aberdeen.

03 Feb 2020 18:31:21
Doesn’t seem to affect them.

03 Feb 2020 19:24:20
Unfortunately too much celebrating on the 29th and subsequent weeks created weak mentality within all aspects of the club, including fans. Same thing happened last season.

04 Feb 2020 06:02:18
Steven Gerrard has to find the reason (s) and the solutions, as to why this has happened twice to us now, after coming back from the winter break, coupled with multiple calf strain injuries!

03 Feb 2020 17:55:13
Nice one.

03 Feb 2020 18:21:43
Well done Bribhoy👏.

03 Feb 2020 18:24:23
Fair play mate👏.

03 Feb 2020 13:47:51
ITS TIME--------to move Tavernier up a notch to right sided midfield--or replace aribo's position--the options we have are all out there ---but will gerard break protocol--in other words ---try something new.

03 Feb 2020 14:05:53
No, he won't. Same team, formation and tactics. Gerard said himself on Saturday that he's challenging Ojo, Aribo, and Kent to push on.

03 Feb 2020 14:07:29
Decree, try something new? You've hit the nail on the head. Gerrard needs to try something new because right now its broken and needs fixed. PS. I'm on Gerrards side, he's brought a lot to Rangers but we need a plan B .

03 Feb 2020 14:37:01
Dont agree with moving Tav. Play Hagi on the right. Tav will be far greater threat running from deep and open game up rather than already been up the. Horrible feeling going into tomorrows game and not even in the slightest bit confident. Crazy the change in mood from the winter break. Praying league not out if sight by time they come to ibrox.

03 Feb 2020 15:29:10
Katic can score headed goals why not move him out of position to striker.

03 Feb 2020 15:40:13
Watching Rangers before Christmas in the league and in Europe I really looked forward to it as we were playing good and getting decent results. Now that's changed, not enjoyable, no confidence - but we can only improve.

03 Feb 2020 17:25:47
We will improve, but how long will it take. Started poor against Stranraer and it's went downhill from there. We'll maybe improve quicker if SG makes changes, but I don't think he will.

03 Feb 2020 17:30:26
Depman think mcgregor would make a better cf.

03 Feb 2020 18:26:08
Plan A was working just fine up to and including the 29th December for all you ‘know it all’s’.
A wee blip where the full team haven’t been performing and the euphoria from the 29th has died down to be replaced by panic stations and calls for the managers head!

03 Feb 2020 18:35:00
Tavenier to midfield! Seriously! It surprises me how little some folks know about the game. The midfield is crying out for a creative player, attack minded, able to open up defenses, create chances for others, make killer passes, eye for goal, decent striker of the ball, great awareness, intelligent player, I just don't see Tav as that man. In fairness to Gerrard, he is aware of this, and he is hoping Ianis solves the problem, we shall see, seems to fit the bill on paper at least. Those criticising Gerrard should remember he would love to go out and buy quality additions, but his hands are tied due to lack of transfer funds.

03 Feb 2020 18:48:36
Pacman - this "wee blip" has came at exactly the wrong time. Unless Celtic hit one (and do we even think they will) then this wee blip will cost us big time. We need to snap out of it ASAP and that's why folk are floating ideas about. It is a rumour/ banter site after all.

03 Feb 2020 18:50:07
so, ok let's drop a defender who can defend and bring in a defender who can't defend but certainly can overlap and CAN create chances outside the box---yes, you certainly know your stuff muppet.

03 Feb 2020 19:37:10
Decree etc u guys need to have a word with sg.
He said be great to get tav back to his position and have the option to play Polster in midfield.

03 Feb 2020 20:00:15
John25 he also said it will be great having Tav back in the dressing room so that shows what 1 of the greatest captains in the history of football thinks of tavs leadership qualities. Funny how every time I’m on here I read he’s never a captain. Been sorely missed.

03 Feb 2020 20:29:41
Decree have you been drinking? you are not making sense. I did not suggest dropping a defender (I guess you are talking about Tav) . I said Tav is NOT the guy we need in midfield as he does not have the attributes to make a difference), I did not say drop him altogether. Read the post first before replying.

04 Feb 2020 10:35:28
Fs deecee. The way we play we need tav and barasic as wing backs as the option wide for our inverted wingers/ wide attacking midfielders. When Kent comes inside and barasic overlaps it occupies the opposition players. It’s worked well so far this season. We’ve hit a blip I agree but we now have tav coming back and Morelos back too. If anything I think tav being injured has shown us all how much we’ve missed him at right back.

04 Feb 2020 13:39:10
The amount of folk who can't wrap their head around the system we play and why it is effective. Barasic and Tav play as fullbacks who push forward. the reason Tav is good pushing forward is because the space created by Aribo or whoever is playing on the RIF role. Our "Wingers" act as number 10s. On paper it looks like a 4-3-3 but in game we play as a 4-3-2-1 with the two wingers playing as CAMS almost with both fullbacks pushing forward on the overlap. If you move Tav forward he will be no where near as effective as he is at fullback. I would drop Kamara as much as i like him he really hasn't been playing well at all, i'd play polster in the midfield think despite the overall team performance and the result i thought he done himself Justice he looks as if he has a really good engine and could do a nice job in the middle.

03 Feb 2020 12:29:21
Does Any1 know if Kamberi is allowed to play against hibs on Wednesday and if docherty is allowed to play against us?

03 Feb 2020 13:13:13
Would imagine no to both.

03 Feb 2020 14:48:54
Kamberi is 100% not allowed to play.

03 Feb 2020 10:50:59
I think its time for Kamara to be dropped from the team he seems to be going backwards just now losing possesion on numerous and dangerous positions, give the boy Hagi a start on Wednesday against Hibs he seems more direct and gives us a different option going forward.

03 Feb 2020 11:32:10
I'd go with that idea biglach62. Looking at our squad with Jack injured and Kamara's loss of form and Ojo not exactly setting the heather on fire, what other options do we have? Is Jake Hastie back at the club? If so, perhaps he can feature in the squad? Aribo hasn't really impressed me so far though he is clearly a gifted player. One other option if he is fit is to put Tavernier in right-side midfield and retain Polster at right back. Finally, I take it Kamberi is ineligible to play on Wednesday night? More questions than answers!

03 Feb 2020 14:22:16
I'm sure Gerrard has said that he was pleased with Polster, and was talking about using him in Right midfield, isn't Jack available for Wednesday. I would go 4-4-2 on Wednesday, with Kamberi and Morelos up front, midfield of Polster, Jack, Haji. and Kent. Defence the same with Tavernier returning to RB.

03 Feb 2020 14:35:47
Kamberi can't play against his parent club mate and he's also cup tied for Saturday's scottish cup game against hamilton accies.

03 Feb 2020 14:37:59
Irvger were playing hibs. Absolite no chance Kamberi will be available.

03 Feb 2020 15:51:38
Kamberi was a good signing then, not!

03 Feb 2020 17:08:40
Sorry guys, I knew that to, silly old a--e, then Stewart or Kent up top with Morelos.

03 Feb 2020 17:10:23
DOIGER, he will be a good signing, he's had 8 minutes, and he's been judged already.

03 Feb 2020 17:24:54
Irvger, I meant he can't play against his club Hibs on Wednesday and is cup-tied for the Scottish Cup tie. Not judging him, I know nothing about him. It was sarcasm.

03 Feb 2020 22:35:04
Okay pal, I just wish we could all sing from the same hymnsheet, the negativity will affect the team.

03 Feb 2020 09:16:35
Police Scotland confirm no charges brought against an individual arrested for alleged offences at Alfie's car.

03 Feb 2020 09:35:46
Yeah apparently it was his wife
Got a private detective on to him to try out a tracker on his car lol and that’s what guy was doing lol

Someone being a naughty boy I think 😂😂.

03 Feb 2020 08:53:42
It is clear that we don't have the strength in depth when we need it to change games. Celtic appear to have that quality, notably when struggling at 1-1 yesterday they brought players on who won the game. We've been without Tavernier and Jack recently and now Defoe is injured. We've also been without Morelos regularly. If we lose any more ground then I can't see the league title coming home to Ibrox this season. We've still a chance but the team must now play for Gerrard and give him a thumping win against Hibs on Wednesday. Celtic are at Motherwell, so you never know what might happen.

03 Feb 2020 14:02:39
No, DOIGER, when they were really struggling at 1-0 down their twelfth man stepped up and sent off an Accies player. They equalised immediately, then played against ten men for most of the game to run out comfortable, but referee-aided, winners. The same ref didn't send off the Thumb for stamping on a player. I await the compliance officer stepping in and getting him a ban. Shameless and blatant.

03 Feb 2020 15:51:04
12th man, ha ha very good 👋.

03 Feb 2020 09:06:48
Leagues not over just yet. But we will never hear the end of it if they make 10. although the 1st 4 5 of them there was no real competition. no disrespect to the other teams in the spl but who really could've challenged them. this is the 1st season in years i actually believe rangers can win this league.

this dip in forms just a blip and hoping we come bouncing back in the next game. its not over until the possible becomes impossible. last month most of you were saying not 1 of celtics players would get near our 1st team. now you're shouting about celtic being much better. magic what a couple of bad performances can do to your trust. i still for 1 wouldn't swap any our 1st team for theirs. let's just see what happens next couple games.

Still don't believe the whole "the buck stops with the manager" crap what else can he do? Only thing i would change is when he subs people. he sometimes leaves it too late. but no i can't and won't blame stevie for us not scoring. they 11 players on the field are to blame. not 1 of you in the last couple weeks have ended a post with our gerrard phrase unless I've missed it. can you really all sit there and tell me the likes of kent, defoe, barasic etc would be here had it not been for gerrard?

So let's be a little thankful he's pulled us out the gutter and back to being just a little more respected . Before gerrard teams used to rub their hands together when they had us to play. now they come with a truck to park infront of goal. EVEN celtic got made to look crap last month yet that still not good enough. half of you need to get a grip and have a bit more trust in gerrard and the players.

IN GERRARD I TRUST

#LETS GO.

03 Feb 2020 09:21:12
Yeah, the first 4 or 5 don't count, hahaha aye keep telling yourself that, nurse nurse nurse bring me my pills.

03 Feb 2020 13:15:42
First 4 or 5 don't count, you certainly drew in the mhanks support wi that one Iggle . Unfortunately they did count and they could be on their way to 9 unless our manager for whom the buck definately stops can get us going again.

If they don't get the nine you will see their manager being shown the door cause the buck stops wi him, believe it or not it's your choice of opinion like I have mine.

All Rangers together.

02 Feb 2020 22:21:08
I actually thought we would give Aberdeen a spanking yesterday after the joke what was the hearts game I honestly thought we would win that game easily but we move on to Wednesday and face hibs which in all honesty am not looking forward to.

03 Feb 2020 08:34:38
Me either - I also thought we'd beat Aberdeen given the Hearts result but players lacked urgency, directness etc. I fear Hibs will be more of the same - slow, no urgency, pedestrian football. I'll take 1-0 right now. SG needs to freshen it up but I fear he won't given his post match interview about pushing the same players on (same players who've let themselves down over the last 2, and played poorly over the last 5). I posted on Saturday what the team will be. So if I can guess it, I'm sure Jack Ross can too.

02 Feb 2020 21:14:29
well two things strikes me, the inconsistency is a mind thing, the fitness in general is another,

in every game, fitness permitted there has only been four places up for grabs because
McGregor
Tavenier
Goldson
Barisic
Jack
Kent
Morelos

are all shoe -ins

and out of that lot, most of the inconsistencies have been the form of Kent, and the panic over Morelos temprament and a selection of squad players who only get very rare opportunities to shine.

The squad members are SG's matchday choice but in many cases his choice of sending on the RIGHT subs I feel has been questionable, and usually too late in the game to make a difference. I also feel we have been too quick at times to discard some players AND ignore others, so this makes me wonder if we have actually caused the lack of confidence in the team? Take Ojo for instance, why is it no matter who gets subbed, there always seems to be a place for him, yet others who are our own players sometimes don't even make the matchday squad? Down to the boss I'm afraid. Yes he has improved our status because of who he is, but in my eyes he still has to prove WHAT he is.

03 Feb 2020 07:25:22
Great post. Just remember people on here have blinkers on because of SG the man, not the manager. Time will tell. Time to start earning his corn!

03 Feb 2020 08:19:47
Davis is also a shoe in.

03 Feb 2020 09:42:18
Yup we get it as1974 you don't rate SG as a manager, you've made that perfectly clear in your last few posts. Your right time will tell

03 Feb 2020 09:58:17
As it’s not about blinkers it’s about following our team through thick and thin.
Some on here want to dump players weekly others want to dump sg.
I for one am rangers till a die. Not changing after 60 years.
As someone wrote we went a spell 4 wins in 22. We need to stay strong.

03 Feb 2020 11:29:25
John25 👏 . Great post. Some on here would have a revolving door fitted for the manager and the team ripped apart every transfer window!
