Evening lads, don't post much but long term reader. Good result tonight and the sign of the times where the performance wasnt great but still got the result. To be fair to liege, the high press game they played took us out our usual stride but delighted to go through.
The morelos situation has been spoken about before but i feel if he can get a couple of goals it will hopefully kick him into gear as well, especially if we look to sell him come the end of the season.
The unbeaten run continues and keeps the momentum going. let's keep it up and see what happens come may. Happy bear tonight and well done steven gerrard, backroom staff and the overaul squad for their efforts so far this season, long may it continue.

Got to agree mate I thought standard had done they're homework and came knowing only a win would do. SG tweaked it 2nd half and we could have won more comfortably but it was good to see the players never say die attitude. Well done lad's 55 on it's way.

One word tonight guys, 'CHARACTER', we had balls, and a will to win tonight that I haven't seen for a while. The only downside tonight against a very good Liege team in my opinion was Morelos. Steven can no longer carry this man, he has been brilliant in the past for us, but tonight everything broke down when it got to him, time for Itten to start with Roofe up front. Very happy man tonight though, on to Sunday now, and let's get a quick goal which means they will have to come out against us.

To all those questioning our bottle that was an emphatic answer tonight, we couldn't get to grips with them first half, and previous seasons I feel we would have gave up the ghost and lost that game. What a save the liege keeper had from that free kick from borna barisic 👌He has a very cultured left peg and he has to have one of the best left pegs in british football! His free kicks are exceptional and his deliveries are exceptional 👌He's a superb left back that i think we'll have to fight tooth and nail to keep, beyond this season! When borna hit that free kick tonight i was off my chair celebrating and couldn't believe he saved it.
Hats off to their keeper because that was one helluva save 👏👏👏.

BB I agree re Morelos. The guy thrives on scoring goals but is rarely given the opportunity this season so doesn’t look confident when he has a chance.

Liege played well and took us a bit by surprise but we marked their cards in the second half and should have scored more. Wee Davis was brilliant second half but I thought Glen Kamara was mom. What a calm, assured player he is and also surprised me with his pace when he burst through second half. Surely a matter of time before he goes for huge cash. Hope not for a while but money talks.

Dont sugercoat it, we were poor tonight against an average team who pressed us hard. Our defending at times was rank and we were very lucky to get 3 points. Thank goodness for Kamara and Davis who imposed themselves in midfield, particularly Kamara who never wastes a pass however with Morelos not playing well and Kent unable to beat a man we are light up front and you look at our subs bench and see Stewart, Barker and Itten and you think its not worth a change as they don't offer anything. Well done to Arfield and Goldson for extremely well taken goals tho. Hope Stevie learns from tonight as Liege were no Benfica.

Strange analysis Blue cause I thought that was one of our best team performances.
SL had a game plan to beat us and they stuck to it. Going forward they were excellent a d for me Balogun was a bit out of position or slow at the goals.
We dug in, maintained composure and always looked as if we had the wherewithal to win.
Did everyone play at 100%? No, but after a solid win why pick out the negatives?

Coldo, we don’t man mark as a defence. Arfield or Davis should tuck in behind Tav when he bombs forward to give cover when we lose possession.
Tav is an out ball so does not always sit at RB.

We had a couple games against Ross county and Livingston where we were a little flat, tonight though we haven't panicked and it's completely different from after Christmas last season, to compare this a game where the opposition are playing well and games we were dominating and losing last season are laughable.

This is a hurdle we need to prove we can overcome. We've been lethargic and mediocre by our standards this season but good teams and winning teams find a way to win, even when not playing well. Its level at half time, so common the bears let's come out the second half and do the business 🙏The sign of a good team is winning these sort of games when we're not functioning properly. I see St. Mirren and Kilmarnock have been hammered by the spfl can someone tell me the what they did that was so different to Aberdeen and them?

The only main difference is that they have ruled that the clubs as a whole breached the rules in the case of Killie and St Mirren, they didn't follow the protocols for team meals and travel so the clubs are at fault. With Celtic and Aberdeen individuals broke the rules so the individuals were punished not the clubs. The SPFL will probably also argue that it was the government who intervened to postpone the Aberdeen and Celtic games and not them, from memory i don't think the SPFL hadnt agreed the terms of their rules at that point. Don't really think the rules they have imposed are fair but that's the rules they have imposed and teams like Killie voted for them to have the control to make such decisions when Rangers and Hearts wanted change so they will have to take it on the chin.

Its a worthwhile read guys and he's very complimentary regarding kent's ability and how even better he'll become 👌He rates him rangers best player by a distance and in his opinion, is the main reason we're sitting in the position we are just now, for what kenty brings to our team, with and without the ball!

He's a superb player mate!
The biggest complement we can pay kent is that he is the only player in our team we couldn't cover If he's injured as we do not have a replacement anywhere close to his level. We have cover on a par with the majority of our players or adequate to cover injuries, but not for Kent as he is that good!

Imo its down to the whole squad sharing the goals and defence unreal record. Kent was an empty jersey for 5 or 6 games in a row mind and we still kept on winning.

DSGERS and Paul, I agree with both of you. He has been posted missing quite few games. And as I've said many times on here I've yet to see him actually go by a defender. He catches the eye, but is not our most important player imo. Roofe has been more effective in the last month or so.

I was actually thinking last night about how good our squad is and who at the moment is irreplaceable, I. e our back up play is nowhere near as good as the player we’d be losing. The only two players I don’t think we could live without would be Goldson and Kent. I think the back up players for every other position would see us through however, if we’d lose the two I’ve mentioned I think we could hit the ropes a bit.
You could argue Tav as well.

An empty jersey you say kent was for 5 or 6 games paul 86?No danger pal was he an empty jersey! He was certainly below his usual standard for 3 or 4 games but an empty jersey, not for me. Even when kent is slightly off his game look at what he still brings to our team, ie. dragging the opposition all over the place and out of position,
making space for his teammates, his teamwork for the team by not hiding and constantly working, he's detriment to our team even when he is slightly below par and we don't function the same way without him👌
He's most definitely our best player imo. BAR72, you've never seen kent going past a man 😂Are you sitting with your back to your telly 🤔
Also look at his numbers this season in goals and assists 👀 He's a fantastic player and he ain't a robot, when he slightly drops below his usual high standard!
