Interested in the latest on the Chris McLauchlan story, we have a right of redress as a club over his tosh story, and all the hooha over the BBC ban on Spiers and McLaughlan. You cannot accept this type of poor jounalism, making a story up to suit an anti Rangers agenda, and think there will be no repercussions . This has been going on for the last 3 years, our club is being constantly sullied by these hacks, and is about time we put our foot down, they must apologies before any hack is allowed to a press pass at Ibrox, the sooner we are back at the top the better, decent fair comments are acceptable, but the vile lies being peddled are an outrage.

reflecting on the way everything is going I can't help feelin sorry for s macoll he basically got the bad end of the stick with the players he had to do the job and I am almost certainthe decision to employ warburton and weir was made before he got the job and the 2 w were getting there plans together before they were announced but however that's the way things are now and it seems to have all worked out for the best

I always liked McCall and agree he did get the short straw. Hope he gets a job after his Scotland stint

It was too far gone for him to have a real impact. All the bad elements of McCoists tenure were too ingrained in the set up.Its testament to him that we even got to the play-off final with that shower he inherited.I wish him well for the future but I think it has worked out for the very best for us as I thought WnW were for the Premiership,It was a real coup in attracting them here and I'm really looking forward to each game now instead of dreading them for the first time in a couple of years.

Agree4 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 20:52:52
Yeah I thought McCall did well with what he had and the time he had left in which to do it but am glad we got MW as he seems to be the real deal. Never content with what he has or how they are performing, always looking to improve. Forward thinking and dynamic. I reckon too that when that Waghorn boy finds his feet and starts to put them away he will be a real find too. Could've had a few only for some poor finishing and some excellent goal keeping. I too have a smile on my face and a spring in my step for the first time in a couple of years, never knew which Rangers was going to turn up but not now, I have belief and so does the team. 89 mins and they're still trying to score!

Agree2 Disagree1

Didn't like mccall style of play, unfit players and poor subs and still had the bias towards and against players that disagreed with McCoist.
Should have been a bigger man and played his own team instead of picking up where Mcoist and co left off.
We played the last few games of the season with everything goingbdown yhe left hand side and even took vudkic off the right and played him central.
I thought mccall would have been brilliant but it was rubbish from start to finish.

At least we will be watching the kind of football worth paying for. I can't believe the transformation. It's been incredible. Guys like Miller, Wallace, McKay and Clark have been like new signings. Kiernan and Wilson look solid but it is the two Wigan lads who have caught my eye. Most of the plaudits have gone to Tavernier and rightly so, but I must say I think Waghorn has been fantastic so far. How he didn't score on Sunday I'll never know. Apart from that his general play was as good as I've seen from any Rangers striker. He looks good with either foot, he's got terrific close control and he links well and pops up all over the pitch. He's going to cause defences big problems this season, no doubt. Yep, very impressed with the start. I know it's early days but there's a swagger about the players that bodes well for the challenge ahead

Ed, is it possible to name the agrees and and disagrees on posts. Normally it does not really matter, but in BIGWULL's post on Andy Smillie's family tragedy, some moron has pressed the disagree button on the original post and the responses. He [ or she] needs named and barred.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - it might have been an honest mistake to be fair, but not at the moment we don't.}

03 Aug 2015 16:33:58
Billy's, some people click disagree just for the hell of it. We rise above that and ignore. Could be a genuine mistake as ed says or just some numpty with a head full of thunderbird thinking he is being funny. Either way, ignore had enough of naming people under previous manager etc. etc.

03 Aug 2015 17:46:35
Yes Ed 001, as a one off I can accept that, but on 3 different comments, the person is a moron. Eds, you have a very difficult job, but thanks for acknowledging my concern. I have only one word for them, ---- Scum.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, there is a problem with that online, sad people who think they are clever doing things like that. We are intending to come up with a way to keep an eye on that kind of thing, so that we can just block access to the buttons for accounts that are clearly just being tools. Also the intention is to remove the buttons altogether on RIP type posts in the future, when we have time to adjust the programming to enable us to do so.}

03 Aug 2015 18:37:47
good billy its totallyy unaceptable that these things happen but it just shows how much standards have fallen scince our era years ago u would never have contemplated anything like that and worse had u been found out u would not have sat down for at least a week

Totally agree BIGWULL,I'm an auld yin on here myself but I'm not familiar with this punishment you refer to that would render the person unable to sit down for a week?LOL
Also good call ED if that could be done with posts of that nature.

Tbh about the agree/disagree buttons I personally ignore them. However, I know I've hit them accidently on numerous occasions whilst scrolling up and down on my phone so could easily be an accident by whoever pressed it. Great idea to remove the function for rip posts though.

paranoia set in again the pitch is the same for both teams if we don't get promoted we won't blame anyone but our selves celtic throw the rattle out the pram whenever just look at the carry on with the inverness player and dundee utd players and liewell at the top of the tree pulling the strings

There are standards laid down and like it or not, they are there to help ensure spectators get a game the (hopefully) can enjoy and players do not risk injury. SPL, SFL all have specific standards for playing area. Would you accept Rangers playing on the old redstone pitches while declaring, "what's the issue, it's the same for both teams?" Criteria. So, in this case, they have a legitimate argument. However, I have to ask, why worry about Celtic? Win lose or draw in Europe will have no bearing on promotion from the Scottish Championship. That the priority here.

Just read there that the st mirren boss ian murray says hibs must be favourites to win the league, is it just me or is this man on a diffrent planet to us, he thinks this because hibs have the same team as last year and have more experience in the league, maybe its just me or i'm missing something but I think he, s s bit deluded.

03 Aug 2015 13:01:34
I would have to agree that Hibs are favourites.
They have much the same squad as last season with a few additions.
We are still finding our feet and it's going to take time for us to gel properly.
I wouldn't take much notice of the cup game with Hibs. Although we won, we could easily have been 3 or 4 down before we scored.

Agree2 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 13:20:28
Hibs will not beat us to the title this year, infact I will call it now and say rangers will win by atleast 18 points.

03 Aug 2015 13:25:59
u maybe right but tell where goals will come from or players they have that will get u 20/25 goals a season cannae see it we have miller waghorn templeton law can all score we have fullback tavernier has 2 already danny wilson scored a few last season that's where I see hibs problem

2/5 Rangers to win the league. Make your own mind up though.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 15:45:02
I don't think any rangers player will get 25 goals plus but what I do think at least 5 or 6 players will be 10 goals plus.rangers for the league plus cis or scottish cup.i think on our day we are a match for any team .cant wait till we gel.travernier for player of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 17:33:20
davie 1980 that's what I was meaning because if we keep playing we will create a lot of chances and supposing we only take 25/35% of them that will quite a few goals

Couldnt agree more bigwull. I went to school with Emmie she was a gem of a girl, always had a smile on her face and with me being a tim and she (along with her brother) being die hard blue noses always wound me up but it was always in good spirits. I've thought a lot about Emmie and Andy over the last few days and my thoughts are with all the family.

Personally, I'm delighted that Warburton has given Barrie McKay and David Templeton a fresh chance. They both seem to be new players as do Wallace and Law. I like the look of Tavernier but we still need to decide who our main strikers are going to be. Any thoughts Bears?

It looks like waghorns no#1 clarks 2 with miller wide might be same again for st mirren sheilds is the only guy likely 2 get dropped he played alright tho

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 09:44:33
waghorn is a great player have watched him since his time at Leicester, he worked extremely hard yesterday caused all sorts of problems only thing he didn't do was score. I would start him over any other strikers we have , miller has been rejuvenated under W+W but I think he will be best used as an impact sub as in the last two games.

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 10:01:20
I don't think we need a main striker with our formation, I like how one minute waghorn is in the middle the next on the left or right, then temps going through the middle or McKay, It means you struggle to pick them up, I like how it is right now, I'd prefer cover for defence, possibly one more midfielder

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 17:27:57
Are you for real both McKay and temps are passengers in that team , neither of them will command a starting place after the transfer window closes.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 18:46:47
i certainly would not call them passengers templeton scored the goal and did ok in both games so did mackay they may not be messis but they are a whole lot better than what we had to suffer last year

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:26:44
McKay and Temps must be doing something right in training as Warburton has started with them in both games and McKay has played every minute thus far. It's a good job Ally isn't still the boss as Barrie would have been loaned out again already. He would have ended up in League Two. Anybody with an eye and half a brain can see that McKay and the likes of Scott Allan are quality players but then Ally couldn't spot class if it kicked a ball at his arse

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Aug 2015 21:51:43
I would start miller against st mirren. Really lifted the tempo when he came on

Believable2 Unbelievable7

03 Aug 2015 15:14:05
he is better used as impact player coming of bench that will keep him fit to play all season he has made same impact in the last couple of games as claudia canniga did in macleish reign
