Like many others, I have never had so little confidence in my team. The whole structure is wrong and there appears to be no easy fix. As far as the playing side is concerned, I hope I am wrong about the manager etc. , but there is just a bad vibe about the team.
Reading reports about our trip to Derby, and again, although we did not get the performance required, our fantastic support done us proud.
If that support could be bottled it would sell by the gallon. Unfortunately, they can only support the team and that is where the problems begin.
We have two home games to start our season and let's hope that our support can carry the team to victories. Win, lose or draw, changes are necessary and not just papered over.

When will pers get it Ally doesn't do youth, and Jig is first name on team sheet even though he has no pace, he had chance to blood youth in past 2 years and failed, he isn't going to do it now, so we may as well sell Murray Park as we don't use any youth from it, and the way we play we don't practice any moves or passing on it either

Dumbfounded yet again by the three stooges decision on team selection. signs a centre half and plays him at right back, plays the same central pairing of mcculloch and Moshni that were dire last year and leaves another centre back he bought on the bench, plays lewis McLeod out of position, a 35 year old up front on his own and as for Black, words fail me. Have now lost total faith.

Agree0 Disagree0

In any other business, or indeed at any other club, McCoist's deranged team selections and utter managerial ineptitude would have seen him sacked long ago. He is fireproof because he knows where the bodies are buried during the past 3 years of corporate disaster. I fear it will take yet another couple of cup exits (must be nearing double figures?) before Wallace or the unseen powers at Ibrox finally despatch him bag and baggage. His crass inability to learn from his mistakes is surpassed only by our Board's supine cowardice in letting this farce stagger on.

{Ed039's Note - Great post, and I wholly 100% agree)

@3 Senior London Bear, absolutely spot on. If I showed an inability to do my job or it was blatantly obvious I could not do the job I was being paid to do then I would fully expect to get shown the door. If I wasn't and it was obvious to me I wasn't up to the task and I was continually making excuses I would have to put my hands up, show some self respect and walk away. The fact that neither of these things has happened beggars belief. Board = Spineless are soles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Problem 3 and 4 - if we were not doing our job we would be paid off up to the end of our period of notice. In Ally's case, as with all prima donna footie managers, they have it written into their contracts that they get a GOLDEN HANDSHAKE usually in many thousands if not more.
That my friends is why he will not be sacked, He is there until HE decides when his time is up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee bill to pay ally off it would not be a golden handshake the money he is on it would be a golden anatomy shake

Had the pleasure of attending the Derby game. Great atmosphere inside and outside the ground. The fans were in top form which is more than can be said for a very poor football performance. Need to perform much better or we will be looking at two Edinburgh defeats back to back. A good start would be to start playing guys in their correct position and people getting into the team on current merit and nothing else.

Stewie - my money is on a penaltyshootout (at best )

Rangers will beat hibs 3-0! Easy! Boyd and millars there now, easy peasy

Agree0 Disagree0

Just hoping that Scot Allan doesn't come back to haunt us. Think he would have been a great signing for the midfield

Uck no chance mate, he was a great wee player, hopefully he can get back to that level, it would've been to much of a gamble, Lewis McLeod is better!!

Agree0 Disagree0

@3

Would u not want both Scott Allan and McLeod? And do u not think Scott Allan would be better than Black, Hutton or Peralta(if he ever comes back). Very strange post indeed

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2014 20:40:24
Strange post? Hahahaha has anybody went in for any of them players? NO, I'd rather have McLeod than allan, and if u read my post again, I said for reasons like he hasn't DONE A THING IN 3 years, it would've been a gamble!! Now your post looks and sounds strange pal

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 5 what's all this hahaha about in your posts? Is it a nervous affliction? Should we all feel sorry for you? Life must be great in your wee humorous world.
I cannot take part in the debate about Allan because he played to few games for United but one thing your wee pal Ally could do to help young Lewis blossom even further would play him in his correct position- central midfield and bump wee Black out the team.
Noo put that in yir pipe and hae a laugh about it

Agree0 Disagree0

@5

Would u not prefer to see Allan than Black? If u want to start the no one came if for their players then who else came in for Black when he was released from Hearts? Who else came in for Kyle? I would rather have Scot Allan in than either Black, Law or Hutton. Maybe you didn't see the game on Saturday but all 3 were posted missing again. As for McLeod due to various injuries the boy hasn't played a full season and we need midfield players. As for your gamble comment every signing is a gamble but I would rather gamble as you say on a 22 year old than play Black or Hutton

People moaning at Ally for playing Mcgregor at RB yesterday, not a big ally fan but who else was going to play there?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its painfully obvious we needed a right back so why did we sign so many centre halfs big broadfoot would have been a better signing he has no club yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Broadfoot signed for Rotherham

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said before, it was obvious we needed an out and out rb even before end of last season, but anyhow why not try smith there to see how it went, it was only a friendly, those games are for trying out different things

my starting line up for the hibs match would be -
Bell
McAusland
McGregor
Zaliukas
Wallace
McLeod
Law
McCulloch
Templeton
Miller
Boyd

It's only my opinion, and if everyone is fit.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wee bill. I wouldn't play McCulloch and would like to see Mackay in the side. Law will have to get better this season than he was last season so Aird might give us wide options to create the chances. So I'd have Mackay and Aird in and McCulloch and Law out. Of course we need a good squad of 16 or so not just 11.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its got to be better than macoist will pick why can't templeton get a game

Agree0 Disagree0

DOIGER - not a bad call - we DO have a deent squad, but I still feel we are a bit behind schedule on fitness, considering the number of pre season games.
Fingerscrossed for a good season.

Agree0 Disagree0

McAusland has next to no chance of making the first team and Black will be in there too. However agree your team would be better than the one Ally picks. Really don't know how game will go can't imagine Hibs will be as bad as they were last season and it looks as though Stubbs has made some good signings

Agree0 Disagree0

Foster, Faure, Daly, Clark all out of the hibs game! Wallace and Bell have picked up knocks

How many people on here have seen mcausland play? I seen him in youth league games & he's nothing to write home about & last game against them youth league decider he was draged all over the place and we got gubbed first team player . not yet

Agree0 Disagree0

McAusland isn't even a RB he is a CB so anyone moaning about McGregor being played at RB what's the difference?

First of all well done to all who attended yesterday, great turnout and great day. Unfortunately spoiled again by poor tactics and a liability in Moshni, this guy is not good enough! Overall disgusted in Mcoist, as a striker and a brilliant goal scorer, when did he ever play up front himself? You have to feel for Boydy etc we need supply and I feel have the options to be more attacking and actually leave teams unsettled, will we ever see this with the current regime? I do not know.

Our awesome supporters deserve better.

to broxi490 and all posts of late ---It really has now got to the point where action must be taken to get the feel good factor back into Glasgow Rangers FC

Are the Board/Management/Coaching staff of this great institution unaware of the total despair that WE the fans feel day in and day out because of the manner in which they are running our club??

YOU the Board --- if you really wish to ingratiate yourselves to the fans of our club and do something that the VAST majority would applaud you for -- then get rid of our overpaid, overweight, unimaginative manager and his cohorts that masquerade as the staff that you happily call your coaching staff.

You Mr McCoist will probably (again) not be wanting to walk away because you are now aware of the huge financial benefits of waiting for "the boot". Do yourself a favour and go now before your name (a name in years gone by which was dear to the heart of EVERY Rangers supporter) is further tarnished.
Tarnished by the fact that you were a good number two in management but you never have been or will be a management mogul. You have proved that during your present tenure.

OUR CLUB COMES FIRST --- NO TIME FOR SENTIMENT WHEN IT COMES TO SAYING GOODBYE TO FORMER IDOLS WHO ARE INCAPABLE OF GIVING THE FANS WHAT THEY WANT.

WE ARE GLASGOW RANGERS --- AND DO NOT FORGET IT ----- EVER

Broxi490 and Kerrymac superb posts lads. A heck of a lot of us share your views and your pain.

Kerrymac

Excellent post and spot on about the manager. At the moment he is unsackable due to the payout he would get. He will hang on no matter what even although his reputation has taken a battering

Agree0 Disagree0

Kerrymac, couldn't agree more, Great post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op and kerrymac well in both honest and truthful posts

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie - if our performances don't improve can the board afford not to sack him, they are depending on selling matchday tickets remember

JG

@6

Would agree mate it may come that they will need to act on get rid of him. No doubt most of the people who didn't renew was down to the board however there are plenty that aren't happy with the standard of football and can't watch that turgid rubbish anymore

does anyone remember the last centre half we got from St Mirren also ended up at right back? Kirk Broadfoot.

He was a good centre half and captain of saints only to be ruined by Rangers playing him out of position. We seem to be very good at that.

Maybe Ally should try Cammy Bell in midfield? no of course not, but it makes about as much sense as constantly playing others out of position the way we seem to want to all the time.

As for Mohsni and Peralta? show them Buchanan St bus station and let's get rolling into the new season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What is happening with Peralta? Think some of the players that played in the final are back in pre season. Last heard he was in Europe on honeymoon but how long does that take? your right the sooner him and Moshni go the better
