Azzlee ime one that disagreed eith your post mate,i know this happens a lot in england, but look at the mental money that gets threw about down there,i think if we tried this in our wee country then managers would be playing guys trying to cash in on there success,i think a manager should pick a team on what that team are capable of,not on what's good for the managers pocket, but that's only my opinion mate .

In regards to rumours of players on trial there is a couple of random people training if you look at the rangers training pictures on twitter, not a coach. one guy is foreign looking

Rangers have 2 players training with them at the moment.
McCall has always been astute in the transfer market.

So after a few days of banter the general concensus is that all will be well if we listen to Mr. King's bluster. I sincerely hope we can blunder our way through a further crisis, but I doubt if it is possible. I would ask just one question of my fellow bluenoses------- If you had £30 million to invest would you put it into Rangers? Answer with the head and not the heart and there is only one answer.
Surely we must waken up sometime and stop blaming everyone else for our woes. We are in a very difficult situation and although there are good intentions, this whole situation has not been thought through.

OP "the whole situation has not been thought through" has there ever been more truthful words than that? Since David Murray's ridiculous credit line with the Bank of Scotland only the development of Auchenhowie has really made good business sense. We the fans do not produce enough income to support the huge concern that is Rangers Football Club.
What had to happen is that Auchenhowie produced talent that was given a chance in the shop window of Scottish Football and sold on for profit. An end to transfer fees for players coming in but veritable fortunes made from players going out. Good scouts and youth development coaches with brave managers to take a chance on the youth.
That should have happened - now it blooming well has to happen.
Bill Miller's "black hole" ain't gone away.
We need the forensic examination of the account a la Frank Blin then we all need to know how bad things are. Perhaps then those who glibly and blindly award legendary status to highly paid professionals who dramatically under deliver on the field and in the manager's office will see the damage to the club of recent vulgar excesses.
We will eventually use up all our lives. Sometime soon (real soon) we need to stop talking and relying on investment and rich saviours and control our costs and boost our income - become self sufficient.

Can everyone calm the froth down!! FFS so our shares are delisted so what it's hardly the end of the world king and ttb need more than 3/4 weeks in the hot seat to change the world come on guys the old wahoos left a steaming pile of brown stuff and we need long shovels and a strong stomach to see this through!! When we do come good again it will all be worth it I for one can handle another few months of turmoil after the crap we have all been through it really won't make much odds come on guys let's stick it out the good times are just around the corner!!

A long road to recovery just became a lot longer. Even the most blind optimist has to realise that. No institutional investors will touch us. It will be left to the fans to provide funds. How long will that last?

Who is the 'us' you speak of? You are no gers fan, Stevie Wonder would see that. It was always going to be a long road back, surely that is more beneficial than getting neck deep in debt. Those who gained control in March may just have had it all planned. King certainly was wishing to leave the AIM casino. I still feel there will be an injection of cash. The fans will play a bigger role in the future though. Who knows maybe David Murray will gain control again. oops said too much.

Keyser Soze, you're right, getting into debt is a bad idea. But don't worry, it won't happen. Nobody will lend us money anyway. Your suggestion that David Murray would come back is laughable. He would certainly not be welcomed back by any real Gers. I expect us to get promoted this year. After that I expect us to challenge for top six places, can't see us finishing any better than 2nd In the future, celtic trump us both squad wise and financially. However if you can enlighten me on how things could pan out differently I'd be delighted.

You can't expect a young guy to jump from the scottish championship to the higher end of the English championship and get a game right away. Lewis has potential but he was never ready for that level. Might even be the season after next before he makes his name with Brentford

I really can't believe how negative some posters on this site are being. The new Board has had the keys to Ibrox for 10 minutes in relative terms and the knives are already out. I doubt whether some of the posters now lambasting the current Board would ever be happy. Yes there are problems but being delisted from AIM isn't the end of the world for goodness sake. The last 3 or 4 years of corrupt behaviour and a complete lack of corporate governance are what is to blame for the mess. For goodness sake give King et al a chance to put things right!

Doiger) Spot on mate, the good lord only knows what some people expect, surely everyone knows this was never going to be a quick fix, king and Co have inherited a club in an almost irreparable condition, another 6 months in the hands of the previous regime and we'd be posting eulogies in the obituaries,we may not like some of the decisions that will no doubt have to be made to sort the mess left behind, give them the time they rightly deserve, after all they have given us the hope of a RANGERS for generations to come, something that didn't look possible just over a month ago.

in reality being delisted is good for us. There are many loopholes on the AIM that allow the easdales to walk back in. now they can't, we can still trade, arsenal aren't on the AIM, they are on the ISDX.

ALSO for anyone moaning about dave king and his past. both easdales done hard time for tax evasion, king did not. he settled his case. they did not.

Here, here doiger, you're bang on the money mate, some rangers fans are never happy & so impatient, they greet to get board change which thankfully happened, thank god, then they don't give the board time to sift through the shambles that previous boardroom spivs have left behind, lets all get right behind our board, manager and the glasgow rangers as a whole, this IS the right people to run our great club and take us forward although it's undoubtedly going to take a bit of time,I'm 100% confident we've now got the correct boardroom directors in place and the gers WILL be back!

How is it a good thing, we're facing court action not only from easdale but from kieron prior who voted against the previous board!

hooly, I don't think you actually read any reports on it, they can't take action against the company or club, only against king.

You could also argue the previous board inherited a shambles, it was all created by green remember.

Sorry Onlyshowaround but Sandy Easdales' conviction was peanuts compared to Dave King's. Dave King did not settle. He agreed to pay a huge fine to avoid serious jail time. As long as he is looking to play an active role on the board no serious investor will get involved (barring fans). To say the delisting from AIM is no big deal is being very optimistic. Why did the board try desperately to find a NOMAD if it is not important? Dave King needs to make good on his promise of investment and be happy to be a large shareholder and leave the day to day running of the club to those without a criminal past.
