The only reason for not wearing poppy is an aversion to some sort of establishment figures or aversion to memory of fallen which is ludicrous. We wear a poppy for the fallen and to hope it never happens again. This is a peaceful hope and simply cannot be refuted. I am in France near Amiens at time and will wear multi national symbol with pride.

31 Oct 2018 22:03:06
Another absolute schocker, Flannigan useless, Candias produces nothing and too many players simply not firing. Only Jack, Goldson, Morelos, Tavenier deserve a jersey. Something needs to change fast because this tipi-tapi football ain't going to work in the Scottish league.
Steve G needs to alter our style of play and get some quality in January (but it won, t be easy) .

01 Nov 2018 05:42:01
Tavenier never a captain for me, crossing is shocking needs dropped.

01 Nov 2018 07:41:40
Candeias is a journeyman player and isn’t good enough however it seems some on here can’t see this and Slye you for saying it.

01 Nov 2018 08:01:08
I'd give Kent a rest also been shocking last 2 games.

02 Nov 2018 13:32:30
Correct me if I am wrong gentlemen . are we not unbeaten at home this season? But still the knives are out. we drew a game we should’ve won . that’s football. My god some on here think we should be Barcelona . by the way firvallbtheboedro knockers the man is up for a league and cup double. not saying he was the man for us but just gies to show a little faith and support goes a long way . after all that’s what we are meant to be . supporters no? Reading this site you would wonder.

31 Oct 2018 21:52:04
Joke, disgrace, no belief, no energy .

Europe aside very poor league start .

Fed up with excuses.

Fed up with that defeat/ draw will lift us for the next game .

Stop talking start doing.

31 Oct 2018 21:52:02
Be lucky to finish 2nd, Celtic will have this league win by Xmas.

01 Nov 2018 00:07:42
Won by xmas you say. Is that right? They’re 4 points behind the leaders and it’s November the mora.

Calm down ya roast.

01 Nov 2018 07:44:58
Bearmode91

While I don’t think they will have it wrapped up by Xmas it does look inevitable they are going to win it. They are starting to smash teams now and I fully expect them to beat Hearts on Saturday. There is quite a heavy schedule between now and Xmas and it’s likely come Xmas they will be top. If this happens how likely is it that anyone will overtake them?

31 Oct 2018 21:50:16
4 games in a row now we have been below par. Really struggling to break teams down. almost like we are out of ideas. Candieas needs dropped. Just terrible. Cannot go on much longer. Players should have been well up for 2nite. Something lacking. far too much tinkering about with the starting 11.

31 Oct 2018 21:49:34
Lack of motivation in the team, and as much threat as a gumsy dog.

31 Oct 2018 21:48:57
We weren’t great tonight but that was one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve seen in a long long time, sad thing is it just feels like normality now. I know mistakes are made but there were far too many from the ref tonight for it to be considered acceptable.

Anyhow like I said we weren’t great and definitely need to improve and I would appreciate someone telling Ryan Kent that he’s allowed to pass the ball now and again.

01 Nov 2018 08:02:35
Thought Kent was honking tonight, lost count of how many times he lost it.

31 Oct 2018 21:48:28
Another disappointing Performance tonight, the effort was there but the quality is not. Teams have sussed us out sit in and hit us on the break, as we move the ball to slow, get it up the park quicker, and play football in the final third.

31 Oct 2018 21:37:40
another appauling performance. they need to find 3 good players in that 4 or 5 million bracket. sadly that is the difference between Celtic and us right now they have far far more a quality in their team.

01 Nov 2018 07:07:23
There's no money for that sort of player. 2nd best is all we can hope for this season.

01 Nov 2018 10:38:03
Sweep have you ever got anything good to say? This players pish, they can't play together leagues lost bla bla bla have faith.

31 Oct 2018 20:28:03
What's happened to us defensively. European qualifiers and we were solid but to me we're guaranteed to lose at least one every game now.

The Weakness of the Manchester United Way

{Ed's Note - Timbo has posted a new article entitled, The Weakness of the Manchester United Way

31 Oct 2018 18:43:01
Hi guys just looking for general thoughts and opinions on this. Seen a couple of days ago that a player down south is refusing to wear a poppy and pleading for understanding on the issue . Personally I wear it with pride and think we should remember exactly what has been sacrificed to give us our freedom that we all enjoy . His club is standing by him . If this was a rangers player do you think we should or could have stood by him? Do you think he is right in his stance? Or do you make players wear them as their meant to be an example to all young players girls and boys and in a way society as a whole?

31 Oct 2018 19:16:33
Will be that fud James McLean again I guess. Absolute 🔔🔚 of a guy.

31 Oct 2018 19:22:33
Personally I think they would have to be ignorant to our rangers heritage. Not a bigoted view but you would have to be pretty ignorant to join Rangers and think not wearing it would endear you to our support.

I wouldn't expect the manky mob will worry about wearing one because of theirs either.

31 Oct 2018 19:27:45
Read him Flanders field. If he really feels nothing. God help him. Poppy’s are for the fallen, the boys and girls that went to war not because they always wanted to but because they seen it as there duty. Whether they be British french German American or any nation. It’s a remeberence of those that died. It does not bring glory to war or hatred but to just for that moment remember those that left and never came home. It remembers the friend and foe alike.

31 Oct 2018 19:34:52
We support the heroes so I doubt it.

31 Oct 2018 21:50:13
We must never forget the sacrifices they made for us.
If you don’t want to wear the poppy you must have some very good reasons as I can only see it as a mark of respect
They gave there all for us
May the lord keep them safe.
Rangers stand for tradition, pride and British Standards.

01 Nov 2018 23:24:05
I can understand why he doesn't want to wear one.

31 Oct 2018 18:17:26
Was at Hampden on Sunday, but just watched a rerun of the match ( had a few pre kick off! ) We did lack a bit of an edge in the final third, but some reactions I've seen have been over the top. Particularly, Tav bashing, Gerrard not good enough garbage. I know it was a semi final, and we should have been able to beat the sheep. We didn't. We learn, turn it into a positive motivator for the future. Starting tonight. let's get behind the team, as we always do, and believe in what is happening under Gerrard. Speaking of tonight, better get my skates on. See you all up there, fellow bears! # let's go.

{Ed0333's Note - Surely you’ve got to give SG some time to implement his style of play. He needs a season and half to bed in signings he’s gonna make over the next few months.

31 Oct 2018 18:30:48
Spot on ed333.

31 Oct 2018 19:18:51
At least ed, we can't change managers every year. got to give him 2 or 3 seasons to gradually build his team, positive sigas so far, yes a couple of setbacks but constantly changing gaffers isn't the answer.

{Ed0333's Note - one things for sure he’s a big enough name to ensure players will sign for you. I have a selfish reason for him to stay at you for a while so we can see if he’s any good for Liverpool’s top job.

31 Oct 2018 11:50:12
Just a question lads.
With Tav being back on the radar, would you be happy to take a shed load of dough for him and push Flanno to his more natural position and have Barasic in his?
I like Tav but money is money as they say.

31 Oct 2018 12:21:22
Yes I would take it in a heartbeat, he is neve Rangers captain material.

31 Oct 2018 12:26:01
6-7m i'd take as we could more than replace him with that imo.

31 Oct 2018 12:37:05
Would take the money in a minute. Use it to secure Kent on a permenant. What a deal that would be.

31 Oct 2018 13:06:21
A slightly take 5 plus this guy is one of our poorest players, certainly does not have the class to be our captain. Every post match interview chewing gum I hat seeing that.

31 Oct 2018 13:28:45
Part of me wonders if this whole make Tav my captain thing wasn't a tactical move by SG. Knowing he has Flanno, a few good performances and act all aggrieved when someone wants to buy you captain, but hey, luckily we've got a replacement. Pushes the price up alright. It's really one of the decisions I couldn't ever fathom from SG. Why make him his captain? There are more natural guys in the team who could fill that role and who would be better at it. Perhaps I'm over thinking things.

31 Oct 2018 13:42:40
Anywhere in the region of £4m and I would take in a heartbeat. I really do not get, other than penalties, his value to the team. The amount of wasted deliveries into the box is criminal, and for me one of the main reasons behind our last 2 results. We have got into great positions but the delivery into the box has been woeful.

31 Oct 2018 14:42:12
Yip take the money.

31 Oct 2018 15:13:42
Why would anyone even want him if he is as bad as you lot make out!

31 Oct 2018 17:14:15
I think Flanagan really struggles at left back, I would like to see what he is like on his natural right side. I agree that it might have been a tactic of Gerrards to make tav captain and raise his profile. We'll know in January if the rumours about the WBA interest are true and a bid comes in!

31 Oct 2018 17:23:46
BAR72

Why would anyone have signed Herrera or Pena when they are as bad as they are?

31 Oct 2018 17:58:42
Give the guy a break. He’s been st the club for a few years now and gives 100% every game. His final ball in the last 2 games hasn’t been good enough but he is an attacking right back who always wants the ball. SG made him his captain because he led by example in training during the summer and helped welcome the new players. If we sell him for a good profit then fair enough but while he is playing try and support him and the rest of the team.

Come on tav give us s goal tonight.

31 Oct 2018 17:58:48
Cletus you are 100% spot on. I have said this on these pages since the start of the season. I would then use the money to bring in a proven goal scorer. For me it's a no brainer. Onwards and Upwards fellow bears.

31 Oct 2018 19:27:20
Everyones for sale at the right price. Just hope we do get the right price other than some of the other values we ve by had.

31 Oct 2018 20:00:50
Arthur D - how much £££ did we make on those guys then?
If we want rid we should talk them up and get what we can.

01 Nov 2018 23:25:20
Who’s going to pay upwards of £4 million for someone who can’t defend, can’t cross the ball or isn’t captain material?
FFS get a grip!
He’s created plenty of assists, scored some wonderful free kicks and taken some crucial penalties.
Yes nothing came off for him on Sunday but he was still there right to the end trying to make things happen.
Personally I’d move him into midfield and put Flanagan at right back.

31 Oct 2018 10:32:35
I had to laugh when I read a certain rangers fans page criticising Gerrard for publicly slamming the team and how it’s was unacceptable blah blah blah! The greatest manager of all time Alex Ferguson slammed his team in numerous occasions and said it was fine as long as you don’t single out individual players Gerrard didn’t single out a player, what he said was spot on. There’s obviously a few bottlers in that team that need replacing.

31 Oct 2018 10:45:58
My problem with that is he signed most of these “bottlers “ tho.

31 Oct 2018 10:52:36
The biggest bottlers in that team are Tavernier and Candias and he didn’t sign them. All of his signings apart from Sadiq have been a success.

31 Oct 2018 11:22:05
36 I think some of our fans want to go back to murty they really don’t know how to support our team when the going gets tough.

31 Oct 2018 13:31:09
I honestly can't get my head round some fans wanting rid of the manager. Surely even his harshest critic must see a vast improvement from last few seasons. Time for everybody to stay calm and get behind the man.

31 Oct 2018 13:50:26
Candeias could run a marathon before every game, can't fault him for effort, but effort is all you get, very few quality crosses, with very few shots on target.

Tav is a poor defender and costs us points including the scottish cup v hivs where hivs and every other team know he is the weak link in defence.

He also offers very few crosses and corners as he can't whip the ball in past the first defender.
Never a captain and will never play for England
I would drive Tav to West Brom myself as I think his level is somewhere like Burton with ex SP Liam Boyce, Scott Fraser, and David Templeton.
Sell both in January SG and bite WBA hand off if they offer 3m for Tav.

31 Oct 2018 19:21:56
Jaws, most of his critics on hear are tims, either that or they are youngsters that have not followed the team very long, most proper thinking people know the score, other kave never seen our bad times, imo.

31 Oct 2018 23:35:03
Spot on @jboy21.

31 Oct 2018 10:06:50
Morelos is going to give some team a good hiding on his own one day soon and maybe tonight's the night! I'd go for:

McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Barisic (if fit) ; Jack, Middleton, Rossiter, Arfield, Kent; Morelos.

31 Oct 2018 10:50:38
Barasic injured again! further two weeks.

31 Oct 2018 13:58:57
Murty! That has to be the most retrograde step I've ever heard. I for one think SG doing great job save for latest defeat to sheep. Personally speaking for young manager he is outstanding. Maybe need to get rid of few and let him improve in window. We all know who to ditch Sadiq, etc and allow creative midfielder in. Not going to slag Davis but don't think we need him. Jack on fire, Coullibally on fire and injuries to return. I know people are going to say but Davis perfect Capt. Material. So is Jack, and more. We simply don't need Davis.

31 Oct 2018 09:28:51
Me personally am behind the manager and the team, I will slate and praise players but am not demanding players go and that is crazy to think like that.
In that interview yesterday there were 2 things that stood out. First his taking the question posed at JR as that was a question to trick him into saying something silly and answering it perfectly and 2nd the sentence 'in the 3-4 months ave been here' The guy has only been here that long and look at europe, yes we got beat on sunday but we stand up and walk tall. A win tonight and a couple of strange results and were second place in the league.
New Manager, New Team, 8 of the starting 11 are new this season.
The style of football is coming, we see it quick pressing, slick fast moving football.
SG made a comment of middleton will be ready when he learns where is should be when he doesn't have the ball. The team is learning new things.
I'am behind them 100%.
Think my comments are a wee bit over the shop there but basically i don't see the problems everyone else seems to be seeing.
Bar Tavs corners, we can disagree on a lot of things but i think we can all agree he needs to stop with the corners.

31 Oct 2018 17:40:08
Superb, positive post. We have improved hugely since SG came, got good players in and heading right direction. There will be slips along the way, but compared to last 6 years we are light years ahead. C'mon the Gers!

31 Oct 2018 08:27:19
Massive game tonight and hopefully an impressive performance! One thing I think we are lacking just now is a plan B. I think the 3-5-2 should be tried again soon, it would help Lafferty who is wasted out wide or in the hole behind the striker. It would also allow us to give the wingers a break. Kent is playing every game and looked jaded on Sunday. As far as I can see the only time we tried this was against Motherwell who dominated us in the 2nd half but we gifted them at least 2 goals in that game and looked ok going forward. If not then maybe a 4-4-2 but we need to mix up the formation when it’s not working rather than just like for like replacements.

31 Oct 2018 08:26:05
Morning bears, was thinking about team selection for tonight, was wondering who do you guys consider our best centre back pairing, Katic started strongly this season but looks as if his confidence has possibly taken a knock by being benched, goldson hasn't to me seemed the same since the Motherwell game when we changed formation and Worrall I don't know I just feel something is missing from the lad would like a bit more from him, tbh haven't watched McCauley enough to comment on him,
For me goldson and Knox granted niko finds his earlier form, would always prefer to develop our own younger players then loanees when possible, and whoever plays we need better structure playing our from the back too many aimless passes in to the channels and slack short passes, touch and pass to more creative players is what our cb's should attempt to play, in any case I'll say 3-1 rangers tonight good luck to the team hope they turn up a good expansive performance with chances galore is what we need for confidence 🇬🇧🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧.
