Dylan Mcgeouch to Rangers.

01 Jun 2018 06:32:32
I would have dylan mcgeouch at rangers in a minute! He was a major part of a terrific hibs midfield! The type of energy, tenacity midfielder we're looking for! He would enhance our midfield! He was the unsung hero at times, when john mcginn was getting all the plaudits!

01 Jun 2018 07:19:42
He’s a good player who will add value, I’m not sure how much game time he’d get as we have a lot of players in the same position. If we sign him then I would be expecting a few of our current centre mids leaving?

01 Jun 2018 08:43:54
hollow 55 what centre mids would be leaving, none of them turned up last season, we need a better midfielder than mcgeouch in a strong centre mid role,

01 Jun 2018 10:15:25
If this is true with mcgeoch to us and maybe mcginn to them it reminds me of brown to them and kevin thomson to us. I remember at the time a lot of us convinced ourselves we were getting the better player. I personally don't think it worked out that way. Think we need better.

01 Jun 2018 13:07:40
Thompson was the better player, just suffered injuries.

31 May 2018 18:49:35
STV report that Stevie-G will spend his first day in the job tomorrow abroad, as he and Mark Allen DOF are out of the country on transfer duties.

31 May 2018 19:43:10
SnpTV telling it their way as usual. What he said was 'over the next week or so, I will be engaged in work and activities outwith Auchenhowie which I hope will be to the benefit of the club. ' No mention of players, transfer business or anything else. Why on earth would they be going abroad to do this?

31 May 2018 19:45:37
He’s over watching some games at Toulon tourney.

31 May 2018 19:52:51
Thought to be in France

31 May 2018 20:38:31
Absolutely no need for him to be until the players report back. I would imagine they would be back around the 15th before the Spain camp and that’s when the real stuff begins. Let’s hope there’s a few ins/ outs between now and then and we can hit the ground running this season

31 May 2018 21:29:11
Scouting abroad and then heading to spain to finalise details for the pre season camp

31 May 2018 22:27:15
Press talking rubbish most likely. Making up stories, second guessing.

Leave the guy do his job, threaders with the speculation from Scottish media.

Good point is only show in town 🔴⚪️🔵

31 May 2018 18:14:48
Hi All.
Very excited about tomorrow, the coming weeks and the season. can't help thinking though with a pedigree squad looking likely how they will cope with players like-
1. Scott, Kung fu, Allen.
2. Ryan, elbows, Bowman.
3. Cedric, haymaker, Kipre.
4. Kirk, twinkle toes, Broadfoot.
I for one hope that SGs first job is to give all our players a lead pipe each.
I can't wait till the first diddy team come to ibrox looking for a nice wee day out and to damage our players and take 3 points. However when they stand alongside the 11 Gerrard trained men ready to die for the cause and then face what can only can be described as a nuclear detonation as the exit the tunnel - they will realise they are beat before their boots touch the grass. You should not have poked this big blue hornets nest. The fear will be back and its too late for a nappy.

Sorry got kinda carried away!

31 May 2018 18:52:58
Ye didnae half Tjbb . am crappin masel to go back after that post

31 May 2018 19:17:51
Very funny! Pmsl

31 May 2018 19:25:47
Great post TJBB. The team has been too soft and afraid for far too long. Let the teams visiting ibrox know they are in a game and if they want physical make sure they get it back and some!

31 May 2018 19:29:41
You sound like Donald trump. My buttons bigger than yours.

31 May 2018 20:31:05
Hi Southend, Our button is and always will be the biggest MF button.

31 May 2018 21:06:42
Well let’s hope Stevie G doesn’t invite Kim Kardashian for advice like Trump

01 Jun 2018 22:12:36
Wow kim kar on one side of me in the club deck and Abbey Clancy on the other. this is going to be the best season ever. who's our manager again?

31 May 2018 14:46:55
I was speaking to a former associate who works in the media in Liverpool and he says that Gerrard's stated playing philosophy was what he described as the TIE method: Technique, Intensity, Energy. That's what he was teaching Liverpool youths and that's what he'll bring to us. My friend also said Gerrard has that presence about him that makes people want to do as he asks, that he is a motivator, and doesn't suffer fools at all. Can't wait!

31 May 2018 15:37:54
His style will mirror that the current Liverpool philosophy. I just hope the board keep there promise to fund the players that will be good enough to play to this style and tempo.

31 May 2018 18:39:46
dutycalls/ scotty113 reading your posts regarding energy and tempo, training on Gullane sands comes to mind, i. e. Jock Wallace training.

31 May 2018 19:58:25
TIE method: Technique, Intensity, Energy. Absoulutly lovin this Stevie has brought some buzz to our club . he cannot fail. it will not happen that he fails
LETS GO

31 May 2018 14:20:56
Not something I want to happen, and I am sure it won't, however how do you think Usain Bolt would get at Rangers?

31 May 2018 14:29:13
I was assum that he’d get at Rangers with his pace, I expect that it would cause most teams problems.

31 May 2018 15:50:45
Until some little oik! Making a name for himself, half's him in 2
& hope to chr*st he doesn't get back up lol!

31 May 2018 21:44:55
Pace is useless when teams lineup along there 18 yard line at ibrox

31 May 2018 14:05:44
Gabriel amato

01 Jun 2018 15:38:25
What about him mate?

31 May 2018 13:25:11
Apparently Pena's agent in discussions with the club regarding the last 2 years of his contract what is there to discuss! I this him basically trying to get Rangers to take a bit of a few million quid and free him to then go on and possibly sign a lucrative contract back in Mexico if there really is clubs in Mexico interested then tell them to pay us some money for him and tell him he can be freed if he pays back every penny we paid him last year.

31 May 2018 22:31:42
They should be able to just terminate his contract after his various antics. Only issue is if he actually is an alcoholic then that would make things tricky as the we'd be required to show support.

01 Jun 2018 01:21:01
They will be able to terminate his contract . It just means we won't get a transfer fee for him to re coup some of the money wee paid for him

01 Jun 2018 09:58:20
This is him basically what? Is this based on your vast experience of contractual negotiations.

31 May 2018 13:04:53
Would anyone take Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal if wages aren't astronomical? Saw they're looking to sign another right back and he's in the last year of his contract.

01 Jun 2018 08:29:59
An infinitely better defender than Tav but wouldn't get forward half as much. Imo that's a good thing. Tavernier is far too cavalier and thinks he's much better than he actually is. Jenkinson would be an improvement but would still be costly. Isn't Martin Kelly available on a Bosman?

31 May 2018 12:32:09
Cannot see any signings being announced until gerrard takes over tomorrow

31 May 2018 10:27:50
Does anyone have any idea at all why there's reports stating Beşiktaş have it in their heads that they can get Morelos on either a seasons loan or permanently for only €2m not even £2m lol when he cost is £1m if the board allow this to happen which I don't think they will as they gave him an improved extended contract at the turn or the year and honestly think it would take at least £5m for them to let him go but here's an idea if Morelos really wants to go let's turn the tables and instead of us constantly paying up players contracts just to get rid say to Morelos if you want to go you can but it will cost you 4-5 million pounds to buy out your contract and if Beşiktaş really want him they can give him the money to buy it out because I for one am sick and tired of us throwing money away as we don't seem to have too much of it.

Ps. I for one am not a fan of Morelos as I think he has a bad attitude and he is petulant but I will support him or any other player as long as he does the business for the teddy bears.

31 May 2018 10:47:08
I like Morelos. He plays the lone striker really well. I know he had a poor finish to the season but remember he played continuously for 18 months. All the boy needs is confidence and a goal or 2 against the rotten mhob will give him that. No way should we sell him for €2million. He will come good. Have patience!

31 May 2018 11:32:59
There’s no way we’ll get much more for him, he’s not a bad player but in the same breath he’s not great either. We will get a hell of a lot better than him. I hope we can get 3.5m with an add on but I think we’ll struggle to be honest. If we can keep him and put better players around him then we might get more in the future, however we need to make sure his attitude and lack of effort don’t impact the rest of the team.

31 May 2018 11:51:21
We would be absolutely bonkers to sell Morelos at just 2m when it's likely he will start this year Steven Gerrard a better player than last year The boy is easily currently worth around 4-5m in this days market

Keep him and let's see how he does I reckon by the end of next year if the service is there, his market value will soar to around 10m

31 May 2018 14:42:37
O. K. Lads, Ask yourselves this question, would the money we get for Morelos buy another striker who would score the same amount of goals as him, with the same sell on value as him,
Be patient lads watch how he improves under Stevie G with better players around him,
In my opinion he would be better playing behind a main striker, he can tackle, win the ball, link up play and create the chances for others to score, as well as bang in plenty of goals himself,

31 May 2018 19:35:17
I like Morelos . needs time came to ibrox with a better scoring record than most of the clowns mentioned had. we got in his case and he lost confidence in front of goal. some of his early strikes were superb. like most players when 40.000 are moanin cause you miss a chance it will get to you . as it has with 95% of our last seasons team. including mcorrie docherty etc and incidentally many past players like David templeton. remember the boy scored a hat trick first game then the boo boys got to him . we have a lot to answer for with regards to patience and supporting our players . keep the faith

01 Jun 2018 10:49:07
Couldn't agree more with you Molsgoals.
Need to have patience with our youth and not have them fearing to play infront of a packed Ibrox.

01 Jun 2018 13:12:56
Hollow55 - lack of effort? You can fault Morelos for a lot but effort isn't one. He might run about in a huff with a petted lip on but he runs himself into the ground and puts himself about.

01 Jun 2018 22:16:52
Someone mentioned earlier that Marco negri used to have the same bad attitude . With Morelos I think he gets annoyed with himself as he is so so desperate to do well

31 May 2018 09:54:59
The press fuels the rumours of signings and sometimes they're right and in the know. 'He'll score goals for fun in Scotland' now the popular comment here when we're linked with a striker. Can anyone name one player who has found it that easy?

31 May 2018 09:58:50
Kris Boyd

31 May 2018 10:28:59
Marco Negri

31 May 2018 10:34:47
Josh magennis

31 May 2018 12:21:53
Filip Sebo. oh no wait a minute 😞

31 May 2018 12:24:45
Have always stated don't like lone striker system and think Morelos struggles in this role. Would assess him playing up front with an other.

31 May 2018 13:10:02
Ally Mccoist,
Mark Hately,
Rod Wallace,
Kris Boyd,
Henrik Larsson,
Kenny Miller,
Louis Moult,

31 May 2018 16:12:34
prso
novo

31 May 2018 16:21:53
I agree that the lone striker role has to go, I'm hoping that the new manager plays a different system to that!

31 May 2018 22:30:54
Did negri not score 30 goals by January? Or am I imagining that? He was a proper sourpuss as well

31 May 2018 08:15:31
if morelos wants to go and we recieve bid around 8 million or more take it, great potential, terrible attitude. would not waste 4 million on mcburnie just because he supports rangers, solanke of liverpool doesn't cut it either, rhodes only on loan see how he goes, a goalscorer but why hasn't a premier ship club bought him. hope stevie g is wise enough to see this.

31 May 2018 08:21:36
solanke would score goals for fun up here i don't know where you get he doesn't cut it

31 May 2018 09:32:58
If Morelos wants to go and that's a big IF I don't think we will get 8 million for him.
3 to 4 million max.

31 May 2018 09:39:02
solanke age 19 i goal in 30 matches, there's a stat, that cuts it for me, because he has high profile down here in england that's all it is. now i'd swap him for STURRIDGE would bang goals in for fun in scotland

31 May 2018 09:49:02
londonjock. that stat is correct but 90% of his appeareances have ben 10-15mins here or there. given a chance the guy would score goals

was electric at the under 20s world cup. you try getting a start ahead of mane, salah and firmino. give the kid a break. would be a great signing for a season loan

31 May 2018 09:52:55
as for sturridge. get a grip fella

ridiculous wages which we can't pay and lucky if get 2 games out of 10 when fit. add in the clodhopper CBs in SPL and he would get kicked all over shop when did play meaning more injuries

31 May 2018 10:24:46
i personally don’t agree with spending the kind of fees/ wages on some of the names we’re linked with in the press ie skrtel bartley defoe terry mcburnie etc

i’ve watched them all and for what they’d cost us they just ain’t worth it for me bears

i’d rather go for mckenna at aberdeen or boyle at hibs aa there are some decent players in SPL who with proper coaching cld step up and be a star at a fraction of the money

i also like mcginn but I just can’t see that ever happening i think we all know where he’s destined to end up.

1 name i was excited with was rhodes I've seen a lot of him over a number of years and although bit tougher time last 2 seasons he’s scored lots goals his entire career and is a prolific natural finisher who i think he just needs a fresh challenge

but again fees / wages as mentioned above cld rule that out

31 May 2018 10:32:03
agree Trev. english market inflated but if could get rhodes for a season that would be a masterstroke. natural finisher. not good enough to make the grade at highest level in england but would ht 20 a season in spl easy

31 May 2018 14:03:33
You say get Rhodes hell hit 20 a season easy. Morelos is a young guy and hit 18 in his first season.

31 May 2018 14:23:08
Southend. and where do i say get rid of Morelos?
14 league goals isn't a bad return but it isn't great. Rhodes would get more league goals and take the pressure of Morelos being our number 1 striker. maybe making Buffalo a better player

31 May 2018 16:20:08
jbf5oo solanko still a young boy, agreed it would be hard to get in liverpools starting 11,especialy front 3,STURRIDGE would smash it at rangers. lightning quick, he would run riot here. that's if we could afford his wages or pay something towards them. this team at rangers needs upgrading with better players and quality.

31 May 2018 18:37:31
We can't afford stirrings wages and even if we could he wouldn't come to Scotland

31 May 2018 18:37:43
Sturridges ***

Review Of The Day 31st May 2018

31 May 2018 06:33:20
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 31st May 2018

31 May 2018 05:48:34
What date do the players start back for preseason.

31 May 2018 07:45:55
15th june

31 May 2018 01:06:22
My priorities for new signings
Goldson Bartley Kelly McKenna defenders
McGinn midfielder
Lafferty mcburnie strikers
That’s my thoughts what do you think

31 May 2018 05:57:41
Ok goshy123,here goes mate! If big bruno alves does leave, then like yourself, i'd hope stevie G would bring in kyle bartley and connor goldson as our centre Half's! I still think gerrard will want to sign an experienced centre half, If indeed alves does go! I think big JT would be a good signing for a year at least and help out with the defensive coaching side of things! Although i do think big terry will end up at derby county, with frank lampard, as he's going to be the new manager there! I'd love rangers to sign john mcginn, but i honestly think he'll end up signing for them!
My 2 new strikers i'd hope we sign are oli mcburnie and jordan rhodes! I also wouldn't rule out gerrard bringing in experience in this department either, peter crouch maybe!

31 May 2018 08:59:24
Lol has King promised stevie G a warchest? Where's all this money coming from? Or have the Chinese tabled a £20m bid for El buffalo hahaha

31 May 2018 09:30:11
My god henrik all the tainted success yous have had the past few years and still you come on a Rangers forum in your droves, I really don’t understand it. Unless your all completely obsessed about Rangers or something. 👍🏻

31 May 2018 13:11:35
Jack union they know it's all about the Rangers.

31 May 2018 13:56:51
Haha the old obsessed card comes out again. I will never get bored of laughing at you clowns and your delusions.

01 Jun 2018 22:24:38
No henriks bum. the Chinese have put in for a bid of 6 billion dumbellie dollars for alfredo . but he's not for sale as we don't need the money to mount a serious challenge . we are very close as it is 👍

30 May 2018 22:01:14
in response to boabt. john terry would be my #1 signing if he would come. also I see young mcrorie had a great game agains the french.

31 May 2018 08:37:27
Terry comes to scotland only place he going to is smell. tic

31 May 2018 13:07:53
No1 signing terry? He’s already stated he likes the celtic. I very much doubt if he would come here.

30 May 2018 19:47:32
Very random post just love this and hope the younger generation the history and why we are a massive institution, hope our new gaffer has the minerals of this guy and the ability to get something special out of 11 men on a pitch
I have been lucky - lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country.

To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him. "

Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers. Bill Struth. never forget who we are we are rangers 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
