Had a very interesting, friendly debate with family and friends there, as who they would prefer as rangers captain, if it wasn't tav.
My top 3 choices in order were, Ryan jack,
connor goldson and scotty arfield. The reason i didn't put allan mcgregor down is because from a personal point of view, I don't like goalkeepers or strikers for that matter, being the captain. So ed, i'd be much obliged if you could run a poll for me, amongst all bears on here, as to who they think should be the captain of glasgow rangers! The candidates being, james tavernier, allan mcgregor, connor
goldson, ryan jack, andy halliday, scotty arfield,
or someone else. Thanks ed, would be much appreciated pal!

{Ed033's Note -

Rangers Captain Poll

01 Jan 2019 03:54:07
Why is there a poll about the Rangers captain. Has Tav met with a terrible accident. Why are you asking for a poll (another one) and Ed, why are you entertaining him?

01 Jan 2019 04:43:11
Great idea change the captain for the 2nd half of the season šŸ‘šŸ» Sure that will give the players the push they need. Some of the stuff people write on here is mad. Back the team. Tav is our captain like it or not. Mon the bears šŸ™ŒšŸ».

01 Jan 2019 06:50:35
Listen supercoop would want a poll to change his own name ( or nappy if it came diwn to it ) so I wouldnā€™t get my knickers in a twist about it but personally I would like John Greg.

01 Jan 2019 06:54:25
As for the Ed he admits heā€™s allbthings Liverpool and not the mighty ( prob wonā€™t post this ) but ed have you witnessed the blue sea? Think if you had onnthe 29 th you might have been swayed . What about Liverpool and The mighty Glasgow Rangers to do the double . that would be a good party eh?

{Ed001's Note - I watched the derby yes. Not that impressed with Morelos I have to say, he has a poor first touch. Mind that has not stopped Lukaku and Aubameyang making it. I mostly watched to see how Kent got on and I was not impressed at all, even though he was one of the better players. He is miles behind Harry Wilson and is nowhere near good enough to break into Liverpool's team. I think he would be better off staying permanently and having a chance of trophies.

As for the rest, I only support one team, I never understand how anyone can have room for two. Good luck to them like, it is their choice, but for me every other team is just not Liverpool and so it doesn't matter to me who wins or loses unless it affects LFC.}

01 Jan 2019 06:57:35
I donā€™t think Coops is suggesting we change our captain for the second half of the season and itā€™s more a just a question for a bit of debate. However, considering we are joint top of league, albeit the jungles have a game in hand, I would say Tav is doing not too badly and he was chosen by the manager and thatā€™s good enough for me. If it wasnā€™t Tav, it would be big Goldson for me. Happy new year bears. I brought the bells in in Bangkok šŸ‘ŒšŸ».

01 Jan 2019 07:19:56
Ha brilliant ed . how arrogant is that? Priceless.

01 Jan 2019 08:28:57
Very disappointing post Ed001?šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

01 Jan 2019 08:45:39
Correct Dunfermline blue nose, a guy with brains and a bit of savvy! These clowns think I want tav changed as our captain, read the post properly!
The clue is in there, its DEBATE!
Anyone on here who reads my posts know how highly i rate tav and continually stick up for him on here! Of course i back and want tav to remain as rangers captain! Not kidding here, i honestly think some of you came up the clyde in a banana boat, very wet behind the ears!

01 Jan 2019 09:24:54
I can see where the ed is coming from. It's only The Famous for me and i couldn't care about any other. Liverpool are flying high just now but let's not forget that is only because of the tv money which in turn attracts further investment. It is not and never will be again, a level playing field until the tv thing implodes. I'm looking forward to that day tbh.

01 Jan 2019 09:56:13
Why is it unbelievable to have more than one team? I live in NI so our league is not good, but I support Linfield at home, Rangers in Scotland and Chelsea in England, a
ā€œ Blues brother ā€œ Iā€™ve seen all three and enjoy the craic. I have two sons one supports Liverpool and the other supports Man U. so you can imagine the banter in our home. My main team would be Rangers of course.

01 Jan 2019 11:40:26
Judging by your posts ED your ignorance and arrogance about our game says it all. Totally disagree with your opinion on Morelos (was that the only game youā€™ve seen him play? ) . Loan striker role? Nobody is saying Kent would get into your side but is doing fine up here. To be fair itā€™s about time Liverpool were up there challenging for the EPL considering the size of the club instead of being premier league also rans year in year out. Think you are on the wrong site here mate.

{Ed001's Note - it is not me displaying arrogance and ignorance, you are throwing it out there for all to see. I never claimed to be an expert on the Scottish game, just mentioned I was disappointed in Morelos in that particular match. Not sure why you are getting so upset over one view of one game.

As for wrong site, I don't think so, I was asked my opinion and gave it. If you don't like it, then you are on the wrong site not me.

This is the problem and why we can't get editors to get involved on here because everything said gets jumped on by the likes of you either accusing them of being Celtic fans or slagging them off for not having the same opinion as you. It is tiresome and boring.}

01 Jan 2019 11:42:46
I may only support Rangers and love our club but have a general love for football. I love watching the EPL and donā€™t generally support any club but love watching great football.
THis level of arrogance from England can only be expected! šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

{Ed001's Note - what arrogance? You are the arrogant one going off on one because I only support one club. I never said I don't watch other clubs and leagues, just that only one club's results matter to me. This is childish and pathetic again. Every time anyone gives an opinion on here you all gang up and slag it off.}

01 Jan 2019 11:53:02
I think it was a good post super as itā€™s good to see the opinions of fellow bears on any topic. Was pleased with the reaction of full team after our win against celtic - it showed we are all in it together and Tav deserved it. Watched it in Bangkok and cannot remember getting home after it. There was 2 of them and about 30 of us.

01 Jan 2019 12:33:15
Ed
Calm down, itā€™s a banter sited, no need to take things personal? The Scottish league is never as good as the EPL only a fool would say it was, but without Skyā€™s Billions your league would be mediocre, how many British players play for Liverpool, Man U. Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, ? not too many, my point being without the big bucks the players wouldnā€™t be there thus ordinary league. Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world so you are very fortunate to have him, heā€™s incredible. Rangers has just came through an horrendous time in their history and we are and will be building for years to come, and yet their supporter never wavered, now thatā€™s a club? Wouldnā€™t you agree?

{Ed001's Note - banter? The replies are not banter, they are personal insults, so they are taken as meant. The English league is the biggest only because of one reason, and it is not Sky, it is simply because it is the oldest. That has given it a certain cachet that a lot of foreign fans like. For instance, in the 1970s the biggest supported club in the Middle East was Liverpool, that was long before Sky came along. Even when it was less glamourous than Serie A, there was still a huge supporter base throughout the world for the English league. Even if Sky went away, it would still command huge audience figures because of being the first league. Sky paid the money because they knew the supporter base was there, they weren't just throwing money at something on a whim and a prayer. Most of their income comes from selling the feeds to other countries.}

01 Jan 2019 12:46:01
I do not understand why anyone is surprised that any England football fan is arrogant, arrogance is in the English sporting DNA.
Best ignored as is their patronizing comments on Scottish football.
In Scotland per head of population more people watch football than any other European nation.
Almost twice the % of England so football is a proxy for their days of empire or something else.
What poses as EPL has hardly anything English about it be it players, owners of clubs, managers, sponsors.
Watched a video of Man U fans being asked about Mourinho sacking not a single English person, Welsh, Chinese, American, French.
It is a mirage only 26%of players are actually from England.
Our football might not be the highest level but it is at least Scottish in most aspects.
As to supporting two teams, naw just cannot be unless Rangers, Rangers Reserves Rangers Under 21, Under 19 Under 17s.
My favourite hockey team New York Rangers, I do not have a Basketball team but I loathe the team from Boston.
My favourite law enforcement agency The Texas Rangers.

{Ed001's Note - so you think being exclusive of others makes you better? And you call the English arrogant! Bigotry is rearing its ugly head right now. Personally I am not a racist or a bigot, so I don't care where the players come from, so long as they wear the badge with pride.}

01 Jan 2019 13:10:06
Well, I am an ardent lifelong Rangers fan, but also support AFC Bournemouth as I worked there for a while and went to many games. The two are very unlikely to cause a clash of interests!

01 Jan 2019 13:49:14
Calm Down, Calm Down šŸ˜šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

01 Jan 2019 14:29:40
Ed.
Youā€™ve made today interesting on this site, but with all its money the EPL is still not the best league in the world, it has to be Spain, European cup wins these last few years have been exclusive to that country, their top club teams are far superior to England. There is nothing wrong with arrogance it just comes from confidence in ones own abilities, so donā€™t deny it Ed.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so. I disagree though, I don't see any massive superiority, there certainly wasn't one in the Champions League final in May. Hardly a measure though, otherwise you would saying Serie A is just as good as Juve do well or Bundesliga because Bayern did well. For me the quality of the league is measured by the weakest side not the best. This season the level in England has declined markedly it must be said, but you could say the same about Spain and Italy too.}

01 Jan 2019 15:09:47
You make good points, as you say itā€™s all down to opinions, I watch English football on T V and some games are good and some are bad, like the Scottish league the English league have a few teams who will always win the league, Leicester was a fluke, you know it and I know it. If Chelsea doesnā€™t win your title I would like Liverpool to win it, the reason being is the style of football Klopp plays, itā€™s very watchable.

{Ed001's Note - Leicester was to a very large degree down to luck I agree. Money has always been key to the game though. Well not money so much as spending it wisely. Leicester got double lucky with Kante being overlooked and their other options being priced out of reach. Then there were so many others having bad years too. Very unlikely to ever happen again, sadly. And I would say there are a lot more bad games than good games these days.}

01 Jan 2019 15:58:58
I see my last post with what I feel were valid points regarding your opinion Ed001 has not been shown, quite clearly because I disagree with you and what you wrote. Unfortunately we do not have that luxury eh mate?

{Ed001's Note - actually you replied to the wrong thread, but don't let that get in the way of you whining.}

01 Jan 2019 17:28:37
Come back again Ed. Iā€™ve really enjoyed today on the site, although back to work tomorrow.

{Ed001's Note - I am always about, I just usually refrain from posting unless there is something I have some knowledge of. It is nice chatting with you though mate.}

02 Jan 2018 14:25:20
for gods sake, it's new years day and the comments on here are ridiculous, slagging the ed and making the banter page look like the brexit shambles.

happy new year ed and thanks for keeping this site alive.

{Ed033's Note - Ok thanks, good luck everybody in 2019.

31 Dec 2018 19:32:03
Well surprise surprise, Sky Sports announcing that the SFA compliance officer will look at 3 incidents involving Alfredo. Anyway, Happy New Year folks when it comes.

01 Jan 2019 02:35:40
Hate to say it but it ā€œ Fredoā€ is going to do silly things like that he will be picked up on them. imagine Scott Arfields pocket pal/ Lego muncher doing that we would be baying for his blood šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Regardless, happy new year to all fellow bluenoses worldwide šŸ”µāšŖļøšŸ”“.

01 Jan 2019 06:57:43
The muncher does things like that every week. Put the hivs striker out the game first half because he was getting the better of him so I say good on you alfredo . priceless and under any circumstances. did you see his face . brilliant and about time . the ned.

01 Jan 2019 09:31:37
You are all correct about Brown and god knows why or how he gets away with it. Sinister or what? Lol
Having said that, Morelos needs to cut out the nonsense. He knows his every move is being scrutinised by every one of the haters. Tbh the Ralston thing was eff all imo. Embarrassing to see him rolling about. At the same time Morelos is giving the officials a decision to make. The Brown thing, much as i detest him, was the most stupid and blatant kick out i've seen. I predict a 3 game ban coming our way. It"s a pity as there is no need for it.

01 Jan 2019 15:00:58
No Ed you said you were not impressed by Kent and he was one of the better players. What does that say about the rest of our team who gave everything? This is 1 of our greatest results in years and you pitch up and discredit it on here of all places? We absolutely pumped a better team in every position on the pitch. Not to mention the manager and the fans. Get a grip of yourself.

{Ed001's Note - oh grow up. Discrediting? Don't be such a child.}

31 Dec 2018 17:55:43
Our centre half connor goldson, has played in every game for rangers bar one. In most of our games i think connor goldson has been superb for us! He was a rock beside joe worrall, against celtic on saturday. I didn't really notice when i was at ibrox on saturday during the game, but having watched the full game again today, i have to comment on how good goldson's passing was on saturday, long and short! I think we got an absolute bargain,
getting goldson from brighton, for Ā£3million. I actually remember the brighton fans saying when gerrard signed him, that we stole big goldson for Ā£3million and a helluva lot of the brighton fans reckoned goldson's transfer value, was double the Ā£3million, we got him for! I've always said on here, that goldson IS the best centre half in scottish football bar none! what's other bears thoughts on connor goldson? ED, what do you think of what i've said regarding connor goldson? Looking forward to all your thoughts on this!

31 Dec 2018 18:25:08
wouldnt argue with that coops.

31 Dec 2018 18:46:13
Brilliant player looked a wee bit tired last 4 or 5 week but was a rock against Celtic! Best centre back in Scotland definitely.

31 Dec 2018 19:04:15
Thought Goldson and Worral were rock solid on Saturday. Think the issue with Goldson was that no one wanted to take a chance on him with his heart condition but in short it looks like 3 mill has been a steal for us.

31 Dec 2018 19:07:44
Good player but cost us game in Moscow (own goal and deflection) that proved costly for European ambitions. Would not call him brilliant and needs competition.

31 Dec 2018 19:46:43
Doesnā€™t matter if u think heā€™s brilliant are not heā€™s the best cb in Scotland.

31 Dec 2018 19:49:30
Bankie, very good defenders all make mistakes pal! Even the great richard gough and terry butcher made mistakes playing for rangers! Very unfair on connor goldson IMO when consistently since he signed for us,
he's been superb! that's twice he's played against celtic and been terrific in both games.

31 Dec 2018 19:59:24
May be the best CH at Ibrox but certainly not in Scotland, The big lad at Aberdeen Scott McKenna is easily the best centre half in Scotland. Would agree Goldson is one of the top 6 CHā€™s in Scotland.

31 Dec 2018 20:13:34
To be fair I think his poor performances have been down to his desperation to make up for time lost when he was out. Even Gerrard said he was begging him "don't rest me". The break will help him now. I get him not wanting to be rested but Stevie must be stronger if he feels he needs it next time. That's also no criticism of Stevie G I'm delighted with how he's doing. Love his interviews he's the right man for this job. Davis in, a striker and some luck with injuries and we will run that lot close. Happy New year to all.

31 Dec 2018 20:29:44
Scott McKenna a better centre half than connor goldson you say! Don't make me laugh bankie! McKenna nowhere near as good as goldson! Remember goldson is an english premier league standard centre half,
mckenna has only played in scotland with the sheep. You're a bit early with the comedy bankie, i thought only an excuse, wasn't on 'till later!

31 Dec 2018 20:53:34
Goldson is a good player and played well on Saturday. let's at least give till the summer before claiming he's 'great' or even the best CH in Scotland. There was someone on here once claimed he was like Rio Ferdinand! (think everyone can guess who said that! )

31 Dec 2018 21:17:17
TouchƩ blueberry.

31 Dec 2018 21:21:46
look lads nobody is saying he's the new maldini but certainly the best centre half in scotland.

31 Dec 2018 21:27:39
Pacey and good on the ball but not very commanding in the air. Most of the goals we lose are from crosses into the box which a good centre half pairing should clear up.

You have to remember on Saturday he was up against a very young and short striker.

31 Dec 2018 21:57:56
McKenna is no way better than Goldson not a chance Looking at your previous posts i'm starting to wonder if your actually even a rangers fan, near as bad as you saying rangers kits werenā€™t available to buy anywhere.

31 Dec 2018 22:10:21
Blueberry, I said his style of centre half play was the same style of play as rio ferdinand's style! Don't try and make out i'm saying connor goldson is the new rio or as good as rio, because i'm not and never have. What I was stating was goldson is a good footballing centre half,
nothing more nothing less! Zikos, are you trying to tell me goldson isn't good in the air? If you are you're obviously watching some other centre half and not goldson! Even the brighton supporters were raging when they sold him to us, for Ā£3million.
They said he was easily double that and the reason we probably got him for as little as that, was because he was out for a period of time getting an operation, to replace a heart valve! Try and understand guys what i'm actually saying, instead of putting your own, wrong slant on it!

31 Dec 2018 22:57:07
Touche 36thulsterdivision!

31 Dec 2018 23:18:58
Guy still has everything to prove for me and let's be honest he was up against a 19 year old kid for the majority of the game. Decent defender at best for me.

01 Jan 2019 00:44:35
Apart from the spartak moscow game goldson has been immense also in europe! Honestly what do you guys want? Everything to prove! Don't talk rubbish Rabc10000!

The best centre half in scottish football, bar none! Most rangers fans i sit beside at ibrox and most of my rangers pals, all think goldson is a very good centre half! I know its about opinions, but honestly I don't know what some of you are watching, with some of these statements, you come away with! You Wouldn't know a centre half from a centre forward and i'm not kidding!

01 Jan 2019 02:35:52
Katic is and will prove to be better acquisition!

01 Jan 2019 07:01:29
Would agree on this one super. Goldson would fetch is between 6-10 million in todayā€™s transfer market. Thatā€™s more than any other centre half in Scotland . excepting the 400 million that Boyata is worth of course.

01 Jan 2019 08:26:19
Bankie, top 6 aye haha. Who are the 5 in front of him then? About spat my beer out reading that mate.

01 Jan 2019 09:33:52
Goldson is better than McKenna. No contest.

01 Jan 2019 09:50:45
McKenna is the best CH in Scotland. The other 5 in no particular order would be Berra, Goldson, Boyata, Benkovic and Halkett. Could also add Souter, Worrell and Porteous. Goldson is a very good player and helped steady things for us but brilliant he is not.

01 Jan 2019 10:21:52
You're funny bankie, your brilliant you really crack me up! Are you kevin bridges in disguise? Now think about it bankie, this has a DOUBLE meaning!

01 Jan 2019 10:24:14
So bankie scott McKenna is brilliant in your eyes? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚.

01 Jan 2019 11:17:51
Coop, McKenna is the best CH in Scottish football. Donā€™t recall saying he was brilliant.

01 Jan 2019 11:33:50
Not quite sure why supercoop is getting his drawers in a twist about to be honest. He asks for opinions and when someone says something he doesn't like / agree with he goes off on one. Goldson is a good player and might become a great CH in the future. He'd be in the top 3-4 CH in the league (in my opinion)

01 Jan 2019 11:49:58
Queens11 Maldini was a left back mate šŸ™ˆ.

{Ed001's Note - he was also a world class centre back.}

01 Jan 2019 12:08:18
Did someone mention the Ginger Maldini?

02 Jan 2018 14:21:59
Goldson is top cb best at the club wouldnā€™t need say heā€™s best in Scotland though heā€™s up there with them.

31 Dec 2018 16:18:17
why is this witch hunt against morelos been allowed to happen a total disgrace the agenda is there for all to see he scores the goals so let's get him booked and sent off if it doesn't happen during the game we will zoom in on the recording afterwards to see if we can get him on anything they done the same with Gazza when he was here as well it's so obvious what they are up to is it not?

31 Dec 2018 16:48:21
Totally agree tinman.
The media are just trying to goad the compliance officer into punishing him.
If theyā€™re so intent on scrutinising the aftermath of the game then I hope they have a wee look at the little diver Christie. Blatant cheating with his theatrical falls and rolling around like someone had just cut out his vagina without use of an anaesthetic. Talented boy but no role model.
The compliance officer is about to open a can of worms if he succumbs to the media attentions given to Morelos.

31 Dec 2018 16:49:42
Especially when u see what the likes of Scott brown has got away over the years, no matter what any1 says there are certain reporters who are 100percent anti rangers.

31 Dec 2018 16:59:47
Its not a witch hunt against Morelos, its a witch hunt against Rangers, all those people who enjoyed us being relegated who wanted to see us fail. Now we are back and they hate it, never a good word to say about us. We are Rangers, no one likes us and we don't care!

31 Dec 2018 18:15:08
If you put a camera on brown every game he wound be in one game out next three.

31 Dec 2018 18:21:30
Let's face it lads morelos doesn't help himself. i do wonder does he have a brain. What was he thinking on Saturday. He should have been red carded. However the commentators media etc are doing there best to highlight every single foul he commits. As long as he keeps scoring that will do me.

31 Dec 2018 18:29:21
the scottish media has always been the same any exciting talent we have had in scotland especially ones in a blue jersey they just love to run down then they wonder why our game struggles to flourish no wonder they can't wait for a move away instead of backing and praising them they chase them out mutants the lot of them.

31 Dec 2018 19:06:23
Sadly the one with ralston there is no defence. He could have easily got out the way. There was no need for it as he had the Celtic defence in his back pocket the entire game and no one deserved a goal more than him but like the guy SG compares him too ( suarez) he is prone to moments of total madness.

31 Dec 2018 21:02:43
FFS Morelos "stamp" watch it and you can see he holds back. Will Christies STAMP on Morelos be looked at by the compliance "BORED" By the way Christie's acting is worse than Sinclairs burd on Coranation Street, he went down easier than a gas cooker. let's look at all the off the ball asaults on Morelos during the game and the rest of this season and ask why this is alowed to continue. No agenda my a#! e. No one likes us we should care. for those that say Morelos should know better, two wrongs don't make a right and all that sh#! e, an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth, you try not reacting to that attention. and still we follow on.

31 Dec 2018 23:09:00
Kickin broon up the Jacksie . priceless . i'll buy Alfredo a pack of red cards for that . He never got sent off. we won the game . no one can take that performance away from us. going to watch it tomorrow again . brilliant.

02 Jan 2018 14:15:00
Itā€™s not anti Rangers- it simply a look after my mates attitude in the small fishbowl that is Scottish football.

Too few pundits, the same boys network of managers and players that have been around for years but very few play for us so itā€™s easy to highlight the negatives on our side.

Kenny Miller is a good example, he didnā€™t perform so well last season but there were not too many pundits knocking him.

Scott Brown is always at the right charity gigs bidding at auctions etc - thatā€™s why he gets good treatment even now that his ability is on the wane.

31 Dec 2018 15:55:54
Shame about Solanke, but he is another untried and unested loanee experiment that favours Liverpool to the detriment of Rangers. I would be happy with Kilmarnock's Jordan Jones and maybe Ayr's Shankland, after all the aim at the moment is to win the league - anything else is a bonus. Summer will see SG strengthen and remove those that have failed to make the grade.

Hope everyone has a guid New Year.

31 Dec 2018 16:40:56
Did we actually register an interest in Solanke or was it the papers putting 2&2 together?

{Ed0333's Note - solanke is on 50k a week thereā€™s no way you guys would pay that. I actually think he would score goals for fun in your league though that doesnā€™t mean I rate him but the Scottish premiership is about his level.

31 Dec 2018 17:03:49
I would also like us to buy Shankland but Ayr manager has stated that any deal will include him being loaned back for the rest of the season. can't argue with that as Ayr are looking for promotion.

31 Dec 2018 18:31:33
would still take a punt on shankland, young developing player with a natural sight for goal no brainer.

31 Dec 2018 23:10:18
Yea ed was Andy Robertsonā€™s level too.

01 Jan 2019 02:20:24
Don't see the fascination with Jones, we have Middleton who is on par if not better and murphy to come back from injury. I'd be more worried about right mid as the only stand out performer there is the candyman. How about singing Greg Stewart from Birmingham rather than Jones?

31 Dec 2018 20:20:55
I disagree ED. That's what everyone in England thinks. Look at waghorn. That championship is crazy overrated and the money is madness. Scottish prem isn't as poor as people think. Its nowhere near the EPL obviously but many players have failed here then flourished in the championship down south. I'm not going to do a big list but there are many. Armstrong will become a top player for Southampton same as Davis did. Its a fantastic grounding here for young players.

{Ed0333's Note - letā€™s agree to disagree mate. I think what I meant to say was solanke is not an English premiership player for sure hence why heā€™d be good up north. Happy new year fella.

See lots of punters want shankland, is he any better than Hardie?

31 Dec 2018 17:11:49
I would def bring back those loanees that have done very well but would also bring in Shankland, he would not cost much and could be anything.

SG has done magnificent for his first half season and knows who he wants - complete trust in what he does in January signings and look forward to his summer signings.

31 Dec 2018 18:43:37
Just look at how many goals he scored compared to Hardie when he played with teams in the same league. Yes heā€™s a lot better. Hardie relies on his pace which wouldnā€™t suit us when teams sit in. Shankland is an instinctive finished whoā€™ll score half the time he gets a chance in the box.

31 Dec 2018 20:23:50
Blue89 Hardie doesn't rely on pace he doesn't have any! He s an instinctive finisher. I think we should leave him at livi but he's exactly what we need when we're making chances and not taking them. Just think he's not quite ready yet. The rest of the season will show if he can step up for us.

31 Dec 2018 14:44:42
All the best to everyone on the site have a happy and safe new tearšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ‘šŸ‘.

31 Dec 2018 15:27:23
anyone think we should go for greig stewart boy is on top form and driving kilmarnock too a title challenge.

31 Dec 2018 15:44:20
Good shout he's also a bluenose.

31 Dec 2018 17:02:36
May be a bluenose but not good enough for Aberdeen and Birmingham.

31 Dec 2018 18:47:39
Stewart has been given games and a platform at Killie, and has shown he has great ability this season. Would definitely consider him for the bears. Anyway, how magic was Saturday?! Tears to a glass eye stuff. If we can find more consistency and go on a winning run after the break, we can take the title race to the wire. Happy 2019 to everyone, be safe and keep believing!

31 Dec 2018 13:08:34
Well happy new year when it comes bears, hopefully 2019 brings more days like the 29th and some long awaited silverware wish all the Rangers family the best šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ”“āšŖļøšŸ”µšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

31 Dec 2018 12:20:22
Now is not the time to carried away. The 29th was a wonderful display, a display that should have been there in many previous games. This will count for nothing if we slip up again, against weaker opposition.

We need luck on our side well as dtermination to keep it going. The most important part about this win for me is the monkey is now off our back! I honestly think Celtic thought they had this wrapped up before they stepped on the park, Rodgers thought he could do it with big changes to the line up, arrogance overload.

I have been saying that next season is the time when Stevie G and Co. will be feeling the real heat as that's the season when I think we will be determined to do something, however perhaps this is a seize the moment opportunity.

Here's to a fabulous 2019 for us all, I wish you all nothing but happiness and good luck going forward. X.

31 Dec 2018 15:59:32
totally agree gdog but this time we have a couple of weeks to re charge and bring in a few new faces as well as getting a couple of injured players back and we also don't have to play mid week in europe so we should be fresh and well up for this battle in 2019 let's go and happy new year to all bears.

31 Dec 2018 11:24:42
I think Ross McCormack on loan till end of the season would be worth a punt.

31 Dec 2018 15:11:09
No thanks! not after he took a double page in the daily record saying he could finally declare his love for Celtic after leaving us.

31 Dec 2018 16:06:18
His attitude is atrocious.

31 Dec 2018 16:22:13
Also mccormack is total trouble! He's a very poor professional! Just let him go to motherwell, don't want him anywhere near us!

31 Dec 2018 18:44:39
Gerrard won't touch him with a bargepole .

31 Dec 2018 11:16:01
It will be interesting over the coming days to see who we are interested in. Iā€™m not sure we were ever in for Solanke, Dowell and the young left back from spurs are was it all paper talk, Davis is probably nailed on to come back.

31 Dec 2018 13:17:39
Solanke linked with Crystal Palace.

31 Dec 2018 11:14:59
Happy new year when it comes to all fellow bears, if you had told me last Hogmanay that Stevie G would be our gaffer I would have laughed my head off. It still pleases me the way the Celtic fans scoffed at our attempts to lure Gerrard that night Dave King was spotted at Anfield only to quickly change their tune to an U21 manager with no experience and creating a fake narrative that eased their insecurities. Well the apprentice taught the master a lesson on Saturday and while we have a way to go to be top dogs we are on our way no doubt, hopefully some good business done next month and a title challenge is mounted. We will have to be far more consistent to win it though, Iā€™m thinking 80pts minimum. Letā€™s Go.

31 Dec 2018 23:33:33
Same to you wee-bear.

Only hope R. Kent's spouting to the media that the mhanks are scared of us now doesn't come back to haunt us . It's called Karma and seen it too often not only for us but them as well.

Cheers mate.

31 Dec 2018 10:28:00
Concerning Davis, I know people say, a player should never go back, but Shagger hasnā€™t done too bad? Letā€™s hope itā€™s the same for Davis, I know Iā€™m bias, him being my countryā€™s captain nā€™all but I would love him to be the missing link in midfield, although after Saturday Iā€™m not sure there is one.

31 Dec 2018 11:16:30
He'd be great in there.

I've liked mccrorie in there last few games. If he can keep improving his work with the ball, he's one for the future in there.

31 Dec 2018 23:51:59
Ulsterman
Davis is a class player he has played all over the EPL with distinction and for NI. He will know his capabilities and what he can offer. You get 70 min out of a guy like that it well worth it. Look at Brenda with Tom Rogich he is a cracking player but only plays 60min

I all depends on what you do in the 60 or 70 min
Bring him home
He is without doubt one of our own.

31 Dec 2018 10:23:55
I see Solanke is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace.

31 Dec 2018 10:39:26
Solanke was never going to come to us.

31 Dec 2018 10:16:03
Happy Hogmanay all best wishes at the bells and have a great New year.
For all those wanting us to sign Shankland or/ and Jones they are both good footballers and would add to our squad thing is I believe we need players a step above that level. Better than the majority of our squad to take us forward.

31 Dec 2018 10:51:46
Agree bluepete and all the best when it comes, we need first team starters who can change games when required McGregor, Morelos and probably Kent are the only ones we have, we need 1 quality signing permenant and a couple of loans, all need to be of a quality to get into the 11 from Saturday.

31 Dec 2018 10:59:59
All the very best to all bears on here and everywhere, to all the ED'S on here also! I wish you all a very healthy, wealthy, happy 2019!Awe the very best, take care and god bless!

31 Dec 2018 13:11:21
All the best when it comes to all bears.

31 Dec 2018 10:02:42
What about Greg Stewart think he could do a job for us.

31 Dec 2018 10:19:25
He couldnā€™t make it at Birmingham, but many players tend to play better where they are settled.

31 Dec 2018 09:22:24
Morning Bears. Feels good today, especially after seeing Michael Stewart's twisted and contorted face on Sportscene. Really, muppets like him and Andy Walker can't find a good or honest word to say about Rangers. I thought Halliday, Arfield, McCrorie, Jack and Kent were immense. Morelos will have to cut out his silly petulant actions as he could have seen yellow or red yesterday. Have a happy Hogmanay and best wishes to all of you and our great club for 2019. I've really enjoyed the banter!

31 Dec 2018 09:20:52
I see all this media stuff of how celtic never turned up on the day, even papers giving celtic players high marks out of 10. Well you know what, maybe celtic did turn up maybe celtic players had it in them to have the best game of the season. The point is we never let them, we hassled them pushed them back to where they couldn't play and beat them to a man. SG had Rodgers sussed. Am not one who is getting carried away with 55 chat. But SG and the squad have given me one hell of a new years present.
Anyway too all have a good hogmanay and a great new year.
Marvinsaysbelieve.

31 Dec 2018 23:53:47
With the exception of tierney, that was celtic's best team. Rogic was never an automatic starter and edouard is dug meat (9mil lol) . They can make all the excuses they want, the ref is mason, morelos kicked folk ( brown has been kicking folk for years), the grass was too long etc etc. They were played off the park by the better team and they had no answer end of. We need to keep that level up! No more pointless, daft 3 or 4 rotation changes every game. Play the best 11 if fit and if players aren't happy then tell them to up their game. Consistency is key! Over to you gerrard and rangersšŸ‘.

31 Dec 2018 08:31:57
I realise one game doesnā€™t mean weā€™re where we want to be, but after the abuse Rangers and their fans have taken from the media, Ashley, SFA just too mention a few, itā€™s a nice feeling not being the media villain for once. Every DR journalist bar one had written us off on Saturday and itā€™s interesting seeing them trying to blame Celtic for THEIR journalistic mistakes, no wriggle room this time .

31 Dec 2018 11:35:35
Aye Ulsterman. Suddenly it's all about their shortcomings rather than how well we played. Makes me sick. The good thing is they are not nearly as good as they think they are.

31 Dec 2018 15:09:21
Well said seeker, I thought I'd stumbled on their site.

31 Dec 2018 08:20:50
Where are the gers heading on their winter break? I think this will help us and time to take stock about the Celtic performance and the fact we need that every week. Players must learn you don't need to be the most skilled to play for us (it helps) but we demand a never say die attitude and nothing more than 100 percent. Best 2 examples are Halliday and bomber back in the day.

31 Dec 2018 09:19:23
A donā€™t know Tommy, Bomber was a special player and will always have a place in the clubs heart šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

31 Dec 2018 10:24:01
John Brown was three tines the player Halliday is šŸ˜‚.

31 Dec 2018 11:06:05
No need to be nasty LDM17! Halliday is the here and now and totally deserves all the great praise that has come his way! A lesser man would have folded with what halliday has come through! So again well done andy halliday, you are and always will be
'ONE OF OUR OWN'! You are playing terrifically well, for the team you love, the famous glasgow rangers!

31 Dec 2018 15:47:49
SuperCooper11 I wasnā€™t being nasty! (thats your patter) with the! I never ONCE slated or had a dig at Halliday but IMO which I am entitled to Brown was 3 times the player Halliday was. Your ranting on about Halliday and I never said a word about him! STAY OFF THE SHERRY!

31 Dec 2018 16:06:16
Gents calm down, Haliday was magnificent on Saturday and hopefully he can go on to be at least as good as Bomber was for our club. They are both one of us.

Happy new year to everyone.

31 Dec 2018 17:19:50
Calm down lads, you are all blue noses,

31 Dec 2018 18:53:33
Brown was a goal scoring midfielder with Dundee (I think he scored a hat trick once but can't recall if it was against us or them! ) . I remember going to Dindee with my dad for a midweek game just before Bomber signed with us. I think it was Mark Walter's first or second game. Browm was getting a fair bit of stick from us for some reason until he could take no more and gave us all a straight arm giruy gesture. We all thought he was a tim! Just shows you.
