Quick one for anybody that's needs a Rangers fix over the next couple of weeks. The Florida Cup is live on Premier sports.
All the very best for 2018 have great one.

01 Jan 2018 15:36:16
Wen does the florid cup start does anyone no?

31 Dec 2017 18:27:32
Hi fellow bears. First time poster here. Been visiting the site for a while tho. Just want to congratulate the team for the dig and workrate they put in yesterday. Kranjcar included. He didn't have a good game but nobody can knock the shift he put in. So get behing the guy he's one of our own. If he didn't put a shift in i could understand it. I'll be the first to jump on a guys back if he isn't putting in the graft. what's your thoughts Rick Witter i know youv always got something negative to say?

31 Dec 2017 18:43:48
Simplylovely, I agree. Big Nico was running as fast as he could! It's the other players job to get him the ball and he can then do the business. Team game and the boys were all at it. Happy New year to all my Rangers pals when it comes.

31 Dec 2017 18:57:59
welcome aboard mate, made me laugh at your rick comment šŸ˜‚ i agree he will have given his all and that's all we can ask. unfortunately his all just isn't enough anymore and as one of our highest earners it isn't good enough. dunbar mate, if you think the other players need to play to suit him you have literally hit the definition of passenger dead on. our top earners need to be the ones that drag the team forward and offer that extra bit. not the other way about

31 Dec 2017 19:10:43
I totally agree with what you say lads but in the standsrd of league we play in if we get 10 men having a good game on a weekly basis and one not quite at it then we will win games. Our problem is we have far to many having a bad game at the one time. Hopefully yesterday will open a few eyes to what is required to play for our club. Happy new year when it comes everyone. Rick where are you? Must be thinking šŸ˜‚

31 Dec 2017 19:21:24
Was chuffed with my teams performance coming out of breezeblock boulevard yesterday! Well done to everyone, we should have beaten them! Just like to wish all bears and their kin a very healthy,
wealthy, happy new year! Would also like to take this opportunity in wishing all the ED'S and their families, awe the very best for 2018!

31 Dec 2017 20:06:49
happy new year coop and to all the bears on the forum. off to get fired into the whisky, see you all on the other side!

31 Dec 2017 22:09:21
Happy new year to all bears on this forum. We might not always agree but at least we all care .

31 Dec 2017 22:32:09
Happy new year bears i'm on call tonight and tom with a 6am start tom morn, at least the roads will be quiet lol, so coffee for me

01 Jan 2018 00:21:58
Happy New Year to all bears and their families!

01 Jan 2017 12:09:24
Simply lovely, they all had "plenty in the tank sir" lol

01 Jan 2017 12:12:30
All the best gents

01 Jan 2017 12:13:56
Happy New Year everyone. Letā€™s hope 2018 is a good one!

31 Dec 2017 16:14:09
Now that the dust has settled on what was a terrific performance yesterday from the team, especially second half. questions still need answered regarding Murty. The guy for me still doesn't cut the mustard, he really doesn't seem to have a clue as to what changes to make to improve the team when it's needed. He seems to just hope the team he picks does the job and if it doesn't then we're screwed. Yesterday for example, everyone could see Niko was done yet Murty keeps him on till 70 odd / 80 minute mark. This is a recurring theme for every match, he either doesn't know the change to make or leaves it too late. Granted you only have to look at our bench to see there's not much as far as extreme talent goes but there was young fresh legs he could have put on.! As much as that was a fantastic display it really does paper over the cracks. Murty will get a big pat on the back for his point and rightly so, but let's not forget we have been absolutely rotten with him in charge, Celtic and Aberdeen x2 aside. his win percentage is the same as Pedros was after 12games in charge but Murty has lost more games. I hope that yesterday is a start of things to come but I thought the same after we beat Aberdeen at home and look what happened after that.!

Pessimistic I know but that just how it is.

Anyway hope everyone has a lovely new year when it comes and hopefully 2018 we (Rangers) can kick on.!

01 Jan 2018 00:08:13
You're having a fecking laugh Lee? No saying he's the best, but he's shown he'll change things and take a punt.

Look at playing niko, barjonis, Pena, Bates.

Let's not forget we have 4 or 5 1st team out right now

01 Jan 2018 10:31:52
Really? Yes, let's get Warburton or Pedro back! Murty is doing just fine.

01 Jan 2018 11:30:47
He probably was going to hook him after the break but we were playing brilliant esp from 60-80 mins. Why would he risk a change at that point when we were clearly dominating?

01 Jan 2017 12:01:52
He had no better options on the bench to change it. If jack or dorrans had been fit niko would not have started. His hands were tied. Give the guy a chance to get his own players.

31 Dec 2017 14:53:26
I see we are linked with Jamie Murphy, Russell Martin and Marcus McGuane are we happy with these potential signings/ loan?

I feel we need to get rid of some players specially off the wage budget.

Alves (just isn't interested imo half arsing it)

Niko (he use to be good but his legs are gone and just doesn't have it anymore)

Rossiter (Always injured waste of a wage)

Pena (Can't hack it in the spl and very lazy)

Herrera (Has literally done all since joining not good enough)

31 Dec 2017 15:02:38
What about the boy that plays for accies, Greg docherty? played 95 games for them and he's only turned 21. From any games I've seen him he's a great player and worth a look.

31 Dec 2017 15:05:55
Jonesyrfc I agree with all the above except Herrera needs a good chance as I believe he could come good. Rossiter is a good player and would be first choice DM in my opinion however he clearly has an issue injury wise.

31 Dec 2017 18:49:09
read an article on Rossiter today and you can't help but feel for him. Basically looks like in his mind he wants to be a pro footballer but his body won't play along. also continual set backs could be having a psychological effect on him. murty has said they aren't even giving a date on when to work on having him back so don't expect him to be lining up for us soon unfortunately

01 Jan 2018 09:55:46
I doubt very much Rossiter will play again this season. Unfortunately as good a player as he is we canā€™t afford to keep someone who only plays half a dozen games a season

01 Jan 2018 12:12:12
Rossiter first choice dm before McCrorie. Behave yourself man.

01 Jan 2017 12:00:24
dc1990 I watch Accies regularly. The guy's nowhere near good enough.

01 Jan 2017 12:02:46
Ps. Herrera is a terrible footballer.

31 Dec 2017 11:16:24
Just wanted to come on and say well done for earning a point yesterday.
But you must be worried that your team raised their game, yet still failed to beat a poor Celtic performance yesterday.
What you need to do next year, is play to that standard in EVERY game can your team manage that.
Anyway, your draw was well earned.
Have a Happy and Peaceful New Year.

31 Dec 2017 12:37:18
I'd say we stopped celtic playing well. Had our captain and 2 best midfield players out. We had 2 kids that were playing in the under 20s at the start of the season. Worried. nah, if I was a celtic fan I might be, drawing at home against rangers reserves. Happy New year to you when it comes.

31 Dec 2017 12:40:06
Your team canny even do that Tim! Must worry you a bit though after this match that I think you know you should have lost along with the absolute tonking from a poor Hearts side that we beat fairly comfortably? We'll see what happens when some pressure is applied.

31 Dec 2017 13:39:13
I think teams now know what they have to do against you tim, we are way too inconsistent we know that but i kinda think and so do my celtic supporting mates that your players aren't knackered they just know they'll get picked so aren't playing for the shirt, if we make a couple of half decent signings plus can get our balls back we should do well.
Anyway happy new year mate have a safe and peacefull one, i'm working right through so at least i can have a bit of banter with a couple of your fellow supporters i'm due a turn lol

31 Dec 2017 14:01:02
Timalloy, you would not feel the need to come on here and start your crap unless you were worried that even with the spine of our side out we came to the potato bowl and nullified yous then dominated yous. We shall be alright you better tell Brenda to stay off the sun beds and start working on tactics. We are constantly told how bad we are and how much you lot are top of your game well where we see it your top game ain't too far off our worst. We shall be a different proposition in the second half of the season, will you lot

31 Dec 2017 16:12:53
Different proposition! Iā€™m sure Iā€™ve heard that before on here and it still ainā€™t happened! And our top game isnā€™t far off your worse! Do actually believe that nonsense? I was sure weā€™re still miles ahead in the league, or am I wrong? And in 8 games against that guy who has to work on his tactics yous have won how many? Zero! Yes Iā€™ll admit we have looked off the boil in recent games but to suggest that u are somehow world beaters after a draw is laughable! Like I said we keep hearing your going to do this and going to do that, please tell me when this is going to happen!

31 Dec 2017 17:15:32
LH86

Iā€™ve read all the posts on the topic and no one has said anything about world beaters other than you. Arenā€™t you a bit old to be making things up?

31 Dec 2017 17:42:44
We said nothing about world beaters, we just wanted our team to show some balls they did every single fan i talk too whether at ibrox or at work knows there's a lot of work to put in, the invincibles turned themselves into world beaters thinking that they were, you got to agree they thought they'd turn up.

looking at your front pairing at the start i was worried 15 20 mins later they looked as if they couldn't be bothered as before. i don't buy knackered what so ever, why's other teams out with Scotland not knackered you have a big enough squad even brenda is making excuses for players that don't look as if they want to be there, just my take on it/

if you can get 20 mil for dembele you should be wearing a balaclava because you'll be robbing somebody. come on, it happens on both sides players should want to run into the ground in these games the paid well to do so and should soak in the atmosphere

31 Dec 2017 21:30:25
I didnā€™t say anybody mentioned world beaters but what else am I supposed to think when one of your fellow deluded says Scotlandā€™s soon to be 7 in a row champions who have been beat once in 70 odd game, that our best is not to far away from your worse! Itā€™s pure and utter nonsense! Then to suggest the guy who your lot havenā€™t beat in 8 attempts needs to sort out his tactics! Pure and utter fantasy!

31 Dec 2017 22:36:27
The only people saying that are your lot. i never said anything about tactics, my take on it is you thought you'd just turn up, win and have a dram

01 Jan 2018 09:59:05
LH86

Do you not understand your own comment? To suggest you are somehow world beaters? You typed that so who suggested it for you to say that?

01 Jan 2018 11:50:34
Not really sure timalloy if you honestly believe we earned a point or you are on for a spot of fishing. You must be fishing tho because surely you are not that daft to think that your lot had an off day when in truth your lot are absolute rubbish and murty exposed brenda again. The fact you are on here fishing not only reiterates your obsession but let's us all know that you have the fear.

01 Jan 2018 11:56:23
celtic had a full squad, we didn't so yes you should be worried.

01 Jan 2018 12:02:54
Timalloy, i agree and disagree with u mate. i agree about having to play to that level against everyone or the players are just cheating the fans and management but disagree with you playing badly, it was because we didn't let you have your own way the same as hearts did with you. anyway have a nice new yr and stay safe matešŸ‘

01 Jan 2018 12:03:55
Rangers outplayed and hassled Celtic, that in turn stopped Celtic dictating so to put it down to a bad Celtic performance is a cop out!

And as was said above we had key players missing also

01 Jan 2018 12:19:15
I think yir man Gary75 mentioned tactics and his was the post i originally replied. an the same guy who said our top game isnā€™t to far from your worse! Utter garbage! And coldo please please tell me what we have to fear? I keep hearing worried and fear but nothing to back it up! Are we well ahead in the league? Yes. have we already won the first silverware of the season? Yes. are we still in Europe after Xmas? Yes. have we more money than you? Yes. these are all facts! Now tell me where we should be fearfull! your not even 2nd for Christ sakes! Fear! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ honestly yous live on a wee planet of your own by the way, were facts donā€™t matter and to hell with the truth! Thereā€™s actually one of your Deluded saying u were all over us! šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ when if u actually deal in facts again uā€™ll see even though we were awful we dominated every stat! Possession! Shots! Shots on target! Corners! But hey donā€™t let the truth get in the way of a good story eh! Lol!

31 Dec 2017 11:13:47
I see Forrest have sacked warburton after nine months.

31 Dec 2017 12:44:47
Yea and the whole back room team! McParland also goes! Lol

31 Dec 2017 13:05:15
Warburton blooded plenty of young players, and gave them a good run in the side - something that Forest fans love, but there were often question marks about whether he was playing many of them in the right position. The style of play, which fizzed at times earlier in the season, looked aimless in home defeats to Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday

That's a snippet from the BBC report does the " playing many of them in the right position " ring a bell?

31 Dec 2017 14:00:14
Always felt Warburton managed like he was playing Football Manager on the pc. Big Davie weir shows being a good defender doesn't mean you'll be a good coach

31 Dec 2017 16:36:17
I wish M Worburton all the best he got us out that hole of a championship

31 Dec 2017 17:42:15
Why would anybody wish badly on Mark Warbarton ? Some of the football we played under him was great on the eye. Give the guy a break. I think (not a fact ) that if he had the money Pedro had then he would have made some good signings this summer

31 Dec 2017 17:55:55
Mark Warburton states he has not been sacked. Says he still has a job to do and looks forward to Leeds in the next game . "we will learn from this and move on and do try and do plan A better", lol.
He'd be a good youth coach showing kids the right way to play, at any decent level he hasn't got a clue and won't adapt or change his football philosophy. His refusal to change will continue to be his downfall.

01 Jan 2018 11:51:59
Not only has Warburton been sacked but Weir and McParland have went with him. The three amigos are no more at Forest.

31 Dec 2017 11:07:25
Yesterday's performance (should have been a win) shows we do have talent and the attitude needed to win games. Considering that Dorrans, Jack and Wallace were all injured it is encouraging to think what we can do when they are back plus maybe a couple of signings. I still don't understand why my favourite Hardie didn't at least get a run for the last 15 minutes. He may well have buried the chances Morelos missed! I was wrong about Kranjcar sadly, didn't realise how unfit and over the hill he was. If we can hit the ground running after the winter break we can still give Septic a run for their money. We play the Sheep on 24th January.

31 Dec 2017 12:22:56
Doiger what is it that you have seen in Hardie? I havenā€™t seen much of him tbh but when he has come on he doesnā€™t appear to be blessed with pace, strength, hold up play, or sniff out chances? Iā€™m not being critical of him but I havenā€™t seen anything to suggest he deserves a run and Murtie must be of similar opinion. Happy New Year when it comes šŸ»

01 Jan 2018 12:01:27
Wallace is a step backwards from John. We'd have been worse off if Wallace had been playing! As for Hardie, he's had a few run outs and has never looked remotely threatening. Looks like he could be doing with a few good dinners in him to beef him up a bit.

01 Jan 2017 12:10:56
That's maybe because when Hardie does eventually get on its for like 5 mins top, never gets enough time to do anything also When You have Pena/ Herrera getting taken on well before you then the poor guys confidence must be all over the place, even a past it Krancer getting near 80 mins ahead of him is a joke! Anyway Happy New year to all fellow Bears.

31 Dec 2017 10:46:29
Just thought I'd post this to humour some of you guys. The bread man has been sacked by Forrest this morning. Leaving them in 14th in the league. Hahahaha

31 Dec 2017 10:59:22
He done a good job getting us promoted playing some really nice football until it was found out. Probably the best 45 minutes of football against celtic in the cup semi final. He had no plan B and eventually done a runner. Not surprised he's been sacked.

31 Dec 2017 11:09:24
OO A nanager with english championship and SPL experience:) wait for it. Nah not even the S*n are daft enough to start that rumour.
HAve a great new year all you guys.

31 Dec 2017 10:31:59
Mark Warburton sacked by Nottingham forest well that went well lol David weir and Frank Mcparland also sacked oh what a shame.

31 Dec 2017 10:03:14
Does anyone know the last time we drew 0-0 with Celtic?

31 Dec 2017 10:36:59
Yesterday

31 Dec 2017 10:41:58
Yesterday

31 Dec 2017 10:42:18
Remember we drew 0-0 at Celtic park think it was one of Duncan Fergusonā€™s first games for us

31 Dec 2017 12:03:55
Might have been the night Tommy burns came out with his famous andy goram broke my heart quote 1996 maybe

31 Dec 2017 12:14:40
Thanks Arthur and coops. I suspected I was setting myself up for a yesterday joke as I was sending it. It's a fixture that doesn't do nil nils. How I got a disagree to a question is anybody's guess but par for the course.

31 Dec 2017 12:48:51
April 2011. Alan McGregor saved a penalty from Samaras, game finished 0-0 and we went on and won our 54th title. šŸ”“āšŖļøšŸ”µšŸ‘šŸ»

31 Dec 2017 13:35:09
Thanks Lee. Much appreciated.

31 Dec 2017 17:18:41
Not sure if we drew 0-0 when Mo Johnston made his first appearance for us in an old firm game at Celtic park

01 Jan 2018 11:45:07
2011 I believe.

01 Jan 2018 11:55:02
Sunday 24th April 2010/ 2011

31 Dec 2017 09:20:32
Said when we signed Niko he was passed it. Still has passing ability but that's about it. And yesterday totally backed that up. His passing was shocking aswell to be fair!

Great result considering the rest of the team carried him.

He shouldn't be near the team sheet again.

Apparently there are funds available to sign players. Probably 2 I would imagine. Doubt we could get Murphy as 1mill might be out our reach. think walker would be a decent signing and if the board dug deep and found the funds Murphy. Naismith. Davis (would love this) . and maybe 1 or 2 loan signings. caulker would be good for the defence. Just his wages would be a problem. Not saying we can or would sign all these players but couple would deffinetly strengthen the team.

31 Dec 2017 10:30:46
Niko is never the player he once was however and I know anyone who's played football will understand that a player at niko age and considering his lack of games and niggles he's had over the past season then the only way he will show his ability is to be given time to get match fit! An hour or so in the next half dozen games then I reckon you would see more of the old maestro back

31 Dec 2017 10:43:59
Think it depends on departures too. So far the papers have speculated about Foderingham, Tavernier, Alves, Cardoso, Pena, Windass and Herrera

31 Dec 2017 11:43:06
All can go apart from fod n tav.

Maybe Herrera could get a run in the team and see how he is given a chance.

I think Murty rates windass

01 Jan 2018 11:57:47
Think Foderingham will remain . it was Warburton wanting to sign him and he's been bumped

31 Dec 2017 05:45:24
Jamie murphy isn't the answer. need better than that.

31 Dec 2017 08:21:06
I disagree i think he's a smashing player and well thought of by the fans at his current club, i'd take him all day long quick tricky goal scoring winger

31 Dec 2017 10:32:01
Murphy would be a great wee player and would be filling a position we lack cover in so ticks all the boxes for me

31 Dec 2017 12:31:12
cawrfc, are you for real mate? Jamie murphy is a smashing left winger and absolutely streets ahead of the likes of jamie walker, jordan jones (who i rate also) etc! Who better than murphy do you think we can get, taking into our financial situation and scottish football's financial situation in general? Looking forward to you posting these better wingers my friend!

31 Dec 2017 17:21:03
Agree with supercoop Murphy would be a great signing and I certainly canā€™t think of any better left wingers that would be in our price range

01 Jan 2018 12:06:20
I like Murphy but i think we actually need Left footed players as we have no balance in the side. Murphys a right footer but i'd definitely take him

31 Dec 2017 01:28:48
Candeias was class best he's played for us.

31 Dec 2017 08:51:25
Aye the wee man has balls. He is a British style winger. Did very very well yesterday

01 Jan 2018 11:42:43
Agreed he had a good game but please Seek can you explain how he's now all a sudden a "British style winger" now!? And while your at it can you also explain what a British style winger is?

01 Jan 2018 12:07:16
Thats the most balls he's showed in weeks though so questions need to be asked. not just of Candeias i may add.

31 Dec 2017 01:11:04
Felt like a defeat the day how kranjcar wasn't took off earlier al never know.

31 Dec 2017 04:09:57
Agree mte

31 Dec 2017 07:04:48
Naw getting beat 5-1 twice feels like a defeat not a well deserved 0-0

30 Dec 2017 23:59:32
Right ho troops.
Out on a limb here, but based on today's performance, Tav and Fod must stay. Yes they have been brutal at times, but haven't we all? They two showed some skill and committment sadly lacking in many games this season. If a good bid comes in for Windass, then let him go.

That's my jack Daniels fuelled tuppence worth.
Happy new year, and make it a safe one. Even those from the dark side.

30 Dec 2017 23:41:39
Morelos was brilliant today best striker on the park obviously missed two terrific opportunity's but was great save to deny him and don't think he was expecting such a good delivery for the second chance but I was celebrating the nut meg on Lego muncher so thanks fredo made my day! Gers where terrific second half hopefully kick on now Niko got pelters but the guy did run him self into the ground I feel for Niko his legs have gone his brains still their the ideas are their for us all to see but do agree that he should of been hooked earlier in second half but who are we to argue with murts hope Jimmy Nichol makes a difference in getting the players motivated to play like that against the lesser teams that we seem to struggle against these days.

31 Dec 2017 01:14:54
if you get to christmas and you are top scorer in the league then you definitely have something about you.

more regular service he will score loads.

he gets it from tav/ candeais but nothing from the left

get a good left winger in Jan then AM will score far more

31 Dec 2017 07:05:42
Loved the nutmeg on lego muncher but I thought he should have got his head up and picked someone out with a pass but thatā€™ll come with experience. that said he's only 21 and he's got the potential to be a cracker.

31 Dec 2017 08:56:11
Aye it was a pity he didn't see Holt storming into the box. It would have been a tap in from 6 yards. Great nutmeg though. I laughed out loud at the look on Peanut's ugly mug! šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

31 Dec 2017 10:53:48
He worked hard I agree but he should have scored at least twice! Itā€™s not taking our chances that have cost us points this year. Others in the team deserved the plaudits before Alfredo yday

01 Jan 2018 12:08:09
He did everything right with the 1 Gordon saved it was just unfortunate and i think he was slightly stretching for the other chance. everyone forgets the Windass chance aswell, if he gets a hair on that its a goal but that's the fine margins
