30 Oct 2016 21:35:04
Ah laugh at some of the post's 'fans' put on here. we struggle at breaking teams down i admit but would do that with any manager that we could attract/ afford. we are 2nd in the league and i expect us to stay there! we are rangers get behind the team. not be critical of what the manager/ backroom staff have done because although results have not been great like i said we are 2nd.

31 Oct 2016 01:41:10
we don't have any money to fire the manager where we are tenth or second.

lets enjoy the ride.

31 Oct 2016 07:30:12
Anybody think Starch will pick the boy from Swans for the LB position ahead of big Wallace?

31 Oct 2016 07:37:20
I'm assuming Wallace will play now Robertson and Tierney are injured.

31 Oct 2016 09:43:38
does it matter? unless he pulls 2 centrebacks and 2 centre midfielders out his arse we are never making a tournament.

31 Oct 2016 13:44:54
doesn't matter if we could afford to or not blueblood it would be stupid to do so and reguardless of how bad the start of the season has been for us we are exactly where most of us thought we would be this season and we are only going to go from strength to strength .
beat ross county next sunday and we will be high in confidence and still in second we will come bqack from the international break and go on a run of good form leading us to the next old firm.

30 Oct 2016 20:37:59
sitting here with my right hand man alex with 2glasses and a bottle and s have of haigs dimple casting our mind back to some of the players that s d m brought to ibrox love or hate the man it was afact the kist is endless but here are some we have came up with c woods gary steven trevor stevens terry butcher trevor horlock gaaza negri amuruso perrini numan ricksen bertie bomb scare amato wi feet like the wiseman cow wilkins hately gattuso van bronchorst arteta boomsong spackman klos albertz reyna g roberts torre andre flo basil boli kanchelkis rosental m mols then some not so good van vossen erik bo the russians and many more i will sign off now but any bears who can think of who we have mist get posting me and alex have a job to finnish.

30 Oct 2016 22:09:36
dm was a total asshole and done nothing for our financial stability and not even haigs dimple would dull my feelings about the biggest clown to have his portrait on the wall on the staircase.

31 Oct 2016 01:39:37
and the purchase of those players eneded in rangers death. mind that.

31 Oct 2016 06:55:19
Death witagoal? we are the blue phoenix rising from the ashes. they tried everything to kill us off but failed.

31 Oct 2016 08:26:54
I guess all the people that slate Murray did not support his teams on the pitch or buy merchandise with the name of these greats in it?

{Ed001's Note - I don't see how that is relevant, unless those people knew he was destroying the company spending beyond its means?}

31 Oct 2016 11:42:12
That's spot on ed, I was too young back then but I was under the impression that it was David Murray who was spending his own money, yeah I loved every minute of it but if I knew what would happen because he was spending the banks money, I certainly wouldn't have enjoyed it so much.

31 Oct 2016 13:10:34
Chris Vinnicome, Jan Barten, Neil Wood, Stuart Munro, Andy Goram, John Brown, Trevor Francis, Theo Snelders, Claudio Cannigia, Stephan G'varche, Jonas Thern, Derek McInnes, Andy Webster, Gordon Durie, the French left back who scored on his debut v Motherwell - Faubert?, Mark Falco, Ian Ferguson, Paul Rideout, David Robertson, Dale Gordon, Andy Gray, Davie Dodds, Billy Dodds, Christian Daly, Peter Huistra, Paul Ritchie, Neil McCann, Alan Johnson, Mo Johnson, Mel Sterland.

And many more.

31 Oct 2016 14:33:00
we all enjoyed those days and if it wasn't for the hmrc case pending on us murray wouldn't have sold us to whyte.
doesn't make what he did any less unforgivable buy I will never regret watching those players playing for our great club.
however that being said I can't wait to get back to winning titles again.
hopefully before they go for their 9 in a row.
I think we will get there before then only if the fat rats contact is ripped up in court.

31 Oct 2016 21:00:10
Not Faubert bud, he never played for Rangers, think u might be meaning Fabrice Fernandez.

01 Nov 2016 07:37:26
That's the one. Scored a screamer v Motherwell and one against Celtic I recall. Cheers.

30 Oct 2016 16:19:37
I know it was only Kilmarnock, however that was a good performance all round yesterday, hopefully garner and MOH get a good run in the team to see what they can do. I hope both prove me wrong. I must say after his 1st few games Clint hill scared the life out of me, however since Barton fiasco he seems like a diff player and he'd be one of the first picks Just now.

30 Oct 2016 16:40:04
Djab I was thinking same thing about Clint hill. It will be interesting to see what mw does when Wilson is fit.

30 Oct 2016 16:40:04
Djab I was thinking same thing about Clint hill. It will be interesting to see what mw does when Wilson is fit.

30 Oct 2016 19:14:31
For me, Wilson will have to fight for his place now, like everyone else who is not currently in possession of a jersey. Yesterday should be the end of the chopping and changing except for injuries, suspensions and loss of form. Warburton should now be telling the others, 'You saw that performance, prove to me you should be in there. '

31 Oct 2016 11:43:51
Before Wilson got injured he was playing very well, but I think this will help make him a better player knowing that now theirs others ahead of him at the minute.

31 Oct 2016 14:35:38
id still take Kiernan off .
defensively killie gave very little to test us but I agree with clint hill he looks okay for the moment.

31 Oct 2016 15:29:30
Fabrice Fernandes, the French guy who scored v Mwell.

30 Oct 2016 13:19:10
Trying to enjoy a good victory and performance yesterday, but it's really getting spoiled by some of the ridiculous over the top comments and reactions.

Be realistic about the team and the challenges ahead.

One good game changes nothing, it does not signal the end to our problems or that second place is now ours to keep. Nor does it mean garner is anything other than a workhorse. Nor does it mean MOH is a superstar.

I'm not being 'negative' (a term used by intellectually challenged) but some of the empty headed comments really pee me off.

Jury is very much out on the manager, end of the season is when judgments should be made- not after a bad game, not after a good game.

30 Oct 2016 13:41:28
I think it signals a lot. An end to rigid thinking and giving players we've spent a lot of money on a chance to play. Nobody's shouting we'll win the league, just enjoying a Sunday afternoon for a change.

30 Oct 2016 14:36:01
Stromash, i'll reverse what you have said. People like you and you're not alone, do my head in! Nobody is saying everything is hunkeydory mate but it was a very good performance, so try, (now i know its hard for you), to enjoy the win and the way we played, instead of negative, (and don't talk rubbish saying its not), continual comments. Can you not find it in you to positively comment on very good individual performances by the likes of moh (who's hardly had a chance) and the likes of garner who's trying to settle into our style of play. What is it with you lot? We know one game doesn't mean everything is resolved but it may well be the turning point for which we now kick on from now. We just don't know but i and many others on here are hoping this is the case. Try lending a bit of support instead of continually putting negative slants on EVERYTHING, because that's all you guys do!

30 Oct 2016 14:57:19
SuperCooper, I suggest you read what the OP actually said, instead of jumping on your soap box.

If you had bothered to read the post you would have noticed that they actually praised the victory and the performance yesterday. Not only was there positivity, it also contained a balanced view in my opinion.

30 Oct 2016 15:16:03
Aye bosshog like you with a negative slant just around the corner and never far away. I might have known you would be the first to back him up! Two Mr. doom and gloom, negative artists together. I suggest you read it properly and mine for that matter. I honestly just don't get it with you two! Try and enjoy something positive about rangers when it happens instead of a big negative in your posts somewhere even when you think your praising them!

30 Oct 2016 15:48:03
Last I checked supercoopereleven this was a site to express opinions be it negative or positive and open it to debate which is sonething you clearly don't grasp any negitive comments and you shoot everyone down like some sort of cyber bully if u don't like negative comments try debating instead of banging your chest and whinging like a wummin you must be great fun at social events.

30 Oct 2016 16:13:39
I've been critical of Garner and MOH and MW recently but yesterday was the best team display since we beat them from the dark side in the semi-final last season, every player on the pitch was excellent, maybe all the criticism has finally sparked the team into life, playing the way we know they are capable of, the work rate was great all over the pitch and young Josh was terrific all over the pitch, a tremendous prospect and will be difficult to shift from the team, MOH is looking like he knows where he and the full backs should be and his work rate was tremendous yesterday-looks much fitter now, hope we can kick on from here and consolidate 2nd place in the league.

30 Oct 2016 17:07:04
Here is what you said verbatim:

"Nobody is saying everything is hunkeydory mate but it was a very good performance, so try, (now i know its hard for you), to enjoy the win and the way we played, instead of negative"

Here is what the OP said verbatim:

"Trying to enjoy a good victory and performance yesterday"

As you can see the OP praised the victory and the performance. If you want to be obstinate then that is your prerogative but expect me to pull you up and point out that you are talking nonsense.

30 Oct 2016 18:23:54
Are you bosshog able to for once take in what i'm getting at? Here goes. Yes there was a praise of the team which incidentally is more than you have ever done! Mr. negative! But and here's where you must listen Mr. negative, there is praise and then a negative slant behind it, why? Why can you so called rangers fans not just enjoy and praise the very good performance yesterday without having to put your negative spin on it? I know its hard for you Mr. negative, pessimistic if you like, but can you not try to see where i'm coming from!

30 Oct 2016 22:06:55
Well STROMASH, I must be intellectually challenged, or just thick. Because if as you say you are not being negative i have not got a scooby what you are being, and please don't say realistic as that is a complete kop out. along with let's see at season end.

31 Oct 2016 14:50:53
rangeken and supercooper i'm with you guys on this I've of late been p*ssed off with the "NEGATIVITY" of some of our own fans crying out for the managers blood as they have 0 patience.
A lot of people are hoping this can be a turning point in our season as we do need one.
but the negative or "realistic" people as they call themselves can't see it that way its impossible for them to see the light at the end of the tunnel and it infuriates a lot of people.
anyone can write what they want on here but as a collective group of fans I hope the optimistic ones are heard at the games and that is what the players feel instead of the this changes nothing crow.

30 Oct 2016 10:43:47
For those of you criticised joe garner and there were many give the lad a run of games with decent service and he will score plenty 100 per cent efforrt and a touch of class as well.

30 Oct 2016 11:00:28
him and ohalloran are both playing well! garner may not score every game but he sure as he'll will give it 110%.

30 Oct 2016 11:12:49
Everything was better, including Warburton with team selection. Perhaps he is starting to get it. The pressure will lift if he and the team keeps this up.

30 Oct 2016 13:40:56
I really feel we will see a better player in mackay if he gets a few games rest. I really rate the wee man but he's been toiling lately but as I say I feel he will benefit for being rested for a couple of games.

30 Oct 2016 18:55:06
"Nor does it mean garner is anything other than a workhorse" - and you don't think that is negative? Shocking comment for so many reasons.

30 Oct 2016 20:45:25
That is his game tho cannon I don't think that's a slant I think he would be happy to be called that he isn't a superstar but one of the hardest working gers players I've seen in recent years. I love players like him that wear their heart on their sleeves, just cut the rolling about out Joe that would be my one criticism.

30 Oct 2016 22:31:58
Given the chance to pick who would you rather have signed
Garner for 1.8 mIll
Or lafferty for 1 mill.

31 Oct 2016 07:17:04
I'm maybe one of the few who would have welcomed lafferty back I ken he was a bit of a dumpling n ran out but let's be honest way club was I don't blame any of they players for going. Think lafferty would have fit into our system well but happy to have garner think he'll do a job for us.

31 Oct 2016 08:42:39
I'm completely with jaws as regards to barrie mckay. He is completely off form just now but that happens to the best but doesn't make mckay a bad player. As far as I'm concerned he his everything in his locker to go on to become a brilliant player! Dropping him will give him a rest and do him the world of good. My only small criticism of young mckay, is that i wish he was as direct as moh, in the sense of taking his man on more often. He has everything else, superb passer, brilliant first touch, burning pace etc. Imagine our team with an inform barrie mckay on the left wing and moh on the right wing! They would totally rip teams apart and our central striker would have a field day!

31 Oct 2016 08:48:50
Joe garner everyday of the week for me. Garner will be a really good player for us imo. Never rated big kyle lafferty and his attitude STANK! So no thanks to him ever coming back to rangers. So gunnar that would be my answer to your question.

31 Oct 2016 09:49:08
Short and sweet lafferty no thanks.

31 Oct 2016 15:14:12
lafferty was a total embarrassment the first time round and he isn't a goalscorer.
for me garner has a long way to go but he is getting there.
I also agree barrie will come back refreshed only down side to playing a right footed player on the left is that they will cut back more often than not put MOH out there and he would be the same as its hard to pick out a man with your bad foot. but McKay has more skill than MOH and his first touch is brilliant. both on at the same time should scare the hell out of any defence in this league.

30 Oct 2016 07:48:12
Yes - it was a great result and terrific performance. League has also opened up for us too now we are second.

It is the end of October - we waited along time for it to come good.

Let's hope that it not another false dawn and we can string some wins together including a win in Edinburgh, after failing both at the East end and Aberdeen.

30 Oct 2016 00:25:39
Garner played terrific. GReat in air and ball sticks to him. Good hold up play. Whoever is up top with him should anticipate his flick ons. O halloran drifts past guys. End product will come.

30 Oct 2016 01:36:05
I'd pay to watch Garner any day of the week! He's been getting criticism for his style but personally I love to watch him. Heart of a god damn lion!

30 Oct 2016 10:04:06
I would love to see the team that started against kilmarnock yesterday, now given a good run of games together, barring injury of course.
foderingham
tavernier, kiernan, hill, wallace,
halliday
windass, holt
o'halloran, garner, miller
Although in saying that if barrie mckay could recapture his best form i would have him where miller is. That would give us outstanding pace in both wide areas. What's the opinion out there on this team?

30 Oct 2016 10:09:59
Agreed. I would like to see Gilks get a run in sticks tho. Thankfully people on here are starting to see sense regarding McKay.

30 Oct 2016 11:01:53
I would rather see dodoo get game time than Miller theirs a huge difference between starting a game than having a wee 1o minute cameo.

30 Oct 2016 11:13:23
Not a bad player for us yesterday and thought that Miller had one of his best games for Rangers. It is pretty clear that Barry MacKay is having a difficult period. His ability is one of the best in the Squad. What is missing and has always been in question is his physical and mental strength to cope with higher level football as he develops I for one hope he can kick on but he needs to work hard on physical strength or he won't make it.

30 Oct 2016 11:14:34
McKay needs a rest, he's young and will learn, he's proved that already. His game has been awful. At last Warbs picks the team that a lot of us have been looking for.

31 Oct 2016 15:19:42
McKay has had a bad run of form but I for one think he is more physical than dodo who for me will never go for a 50 50 and is too weak to play in this country but like MOH has already done if he is given a chance at any point I hope he proves me wrong.
but for me give McKay another week aff and then its the national break and see how he is when we come back from that.

30 Oct 2016 00:22:22
Great day at office for our lads. Went home happy and it was like night and day from Wednesday night. It was overdue to click and I would definitely keep this 11 together for forthcoming games. Was on edge of my seat a few times. Not done that in a while. Felt good. Let's move forward and get consistency now. 🔴⚪️🔵.

30 Oct 2016 03:23:09
Now all we need is shooting practice? But yes it is back on track and should help the lads not to get over excited.

30 Oct 2016 09:24:55
Think some are getting a bit carried away on here. Good result and performance however it was Kilmarnock and we need to sting a few results together before we can say things are improving.

30 Oct 2016 10:11:32
I'm not surprised that Biffo can find a negative from yesterday. Take a day aff pal.

30 Oct 2016 11:02:57
aye it was Kilmarnock. only conceded 1 goal in 3 and playing the best football hey have done since jeffries.

30 Oct 2016 12:51:29
Aye Kilmarnock who just beat Hearts comfortably.

Honestly hate this mentality.

30 Oct 2016 17:15:43
Super Ally

They also shipped 6 to Celtic and 4 to Aberdeen.

30 Oct 2016 17:17:33
Monty

What have I said that's negative? Praised the performance and result and stated let's see if we can string a few results together. Don't know what's wrong that?

30 Oct 2016 17:18:14
Cee

Did you think Kilmarnock played well yesterday?

30 Oct 2016 19:45:31
they weren't great but that does not mean they have not been playing well. basically what your trying to say is that we should beat every team easily because they are Kilmarnock or motherwell or ross county?

31 Oct 2016 15:25:38
yes they shipped 6 to celtic and we shipped 5 to celtic aswell but what's that got to do with how we played biffo against a team that's been playing well the last few games.
honestly mate read your own comment and tell me it doesn't come across negative saying people are getting carried away? how are people getting carried away we are all hoping this is the turning point for us and we needed a display like that to make it the turning point.
games like that have a great affect in the teams mentality .
a bit of confidence goes a long long way.
