Green meeting with Ashley at Charlie's château. !! Stinks to the high heavens. Ashley will own the rangers brand badge etc for as long as he's coining it over the next god knows how many years, he's a businessman plain &simple with no emotional ties whatsoever. As for the cost cutting which will be starting asap. Alley's salary (well rumored still not been halved) will be slashed. rangers are& have been over the last3years spivs&con men's cash cow a £2million crisis loan no credit line with any banks loss making every month, the toxic money pit lurches on from one disaster after another!!!!

Have we as fans not been crying out for cut backs for the last few years as we HAVE been living beyond our means and that's why the money keeps running out.

Stop believing half truth Phil, MA has been pulling the strings for ages right under his nose without a peep, suddenly he knows his itinerary?

Agree0 Disagree0

As in ages Steerpike do you mean months, years or since the start?
I have slight problem with that little bit since he didn't have the clout until he bought his last shares?
Unless you are saying he was already a main share holder in hiding and able to "pull the strings"?
Now that would be interesting,,, but I can see no proof of such a move? so where do you get your information? its very Phil Mcg ish in its guess working.
Half truths i'm afraid are better than your" no truths" unless you can produce it. Please bring it to the table or go do the dishes with your devilish tongue.

Why don't we all get behind the team this is all a sign of the times now other teams ie man u. newcastle. cardiff. hull to name a few have problems with owners etc but still pull in the crowds. i know fans are fed up with the board and some fed up with the manager but surely its time we all proved to the rest that we are the best supported team in Britain and start supporting the team that's what fans do support the team not the board watp

Hi Bears

Not a rumour, more an observation. I have just read the piece in the Mail quoting our Manager not only stating he wants to avoid the east end mob in the semi final, pathetic! i'm 46 and I can't remember a Rangers Manager ever saying that.
Furthermore he goes on to once again advertise his availability anytime to meet the new "consultants" at our Club, he can not be very busy, I thought it was a stressful, hectic post, well it used to be.
Both quotes from Ally reek of what a lot of us have slowly come to recognize of our footballing hero as his very best quality, self preservation. I have thought from early on in his tenure that he would turn out the worst Rangers Manager of all time, which is fine but to hear him pander to every money man who has walked through our doors just to keep him in his high paid job makes me sick.
A far better Ranger, Mr John Greig was a better Manager and did not last long in the job, but one thing is for sure, you wouldn't hear Mr Greig pandering to every asset stripper who walks through the door to keep his job.
I just wish someone, anyone would start to put our Club before their own interests, since the start of our troubles I have not seen ANYONE involved in the higher echelons of our Club do it, be that Management, Board Members, consultants of Major Shareholders!

Think we have bigger issues than slagging of a manager who has won two titles back to back and just knocked out a team in a higher division.
Get real

Of course he doesn't want to meet Celtic. His job is already on the line. He needs to at least get to the final. Rangers are not ready for Celtic yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Gers09, Seriously!

Aggie the Tea Lady could have won these two league titles back to back if she had the same budget as our misManager and what an achievement, knocking the mighty St Johnstone out of the cup. They haven't scored in about four games.

Do me a favour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist might not be the best manager, and paid a fortune, but I think your being a bit ott, mind games at play me thinks

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally and mind games. does not compute

@5 Memaself, "might". That did bring a chuckle!

Is it just me or does our chairman make your skin crawl?? I have never seen a more untrustworthy individual when questioned? No comment etc etc. I have a team of head hunters looking for a new CEO?? I am doing my new role but for no more money?!?! Did anyone else catch Easdale getting tripped up on sky also? He was told that the chairman had arrived a few minutes before him and he stated he was unaware!! 2 seconds later he stated that he had spoken to the chairman and new he was inside Ibrox making a start on appointing a new CEO. This is not the Rangers that I have been proud to support all my life! I wish the team all the best but have to admit I am finished with it all and won't spend a penny inside or outside Ibrox that will help these deceitful clowns carry on their charade!!

Just noticed we're being quoted 7/1 to be crowned spfl champions 2015/2016 season seems even the bookies think there's money to be made from gullible Gers fans who in there right minds would take a punt on that, maybe wee Blackie oh sorry forgot he backs against us. Keep the faith by all means lads but Keep your money in your pockets.

just a wee comment - is it not possible that instead of boycotts, some people, like myself after 40 years of going to Ibrox, have just had enough.
This is not the Rangers I followed, in shape, form, principals, character, just doing things the right way.
people are clinging on to a past that is now long gone & whatever happens in the future, it will not be the Rangers we knew and loved.
sorry guys - no boycott, just had it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats just your opinion mate and IN MY OPINION if that's the way you feel then why re you on a Rangers chat website? If that's the way you really feel then that's fine that's YOU OPINION but we don't really need people like yourself talking like this when we have people on here who still love our club and always will. I can't imagine ever no following or supporting the club i love. You must just be different from me

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical angry response to an honest heartfelt post. If you don't like it, you're Timmy or a turncoat.

This is the reason we feel we've lost the real Rangers - the real Rangers support wouldn't turn on each other like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree bil72. If you were paying Tesco for groceries and you were only getting a fraction of what you paid for, you would not keep going back no matter how much you loved the brand. That would be stupid. That is where I am at. I am paying for something I am not getting. Someone is making money out of me and giving me nothing. Mug no more.

But that's the thing in this day & age no one can afford to run a club with the ambitions of Rangers and the support I may add just out of love for that club its what happens all over europe with the top clubs and as fans we just have to see it as a way forward no one can afford to run a club at a loss anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

Understand where you are coming from bil72. Not a complete boycott from my self (payg while current manager is there), but there has been, over the last 3 to 4 years, a general drop in the standard of what being a Ranger is all about, FFS we even employ a player who bet against his own team!! so whereas I am not giving up on the club, I for one will not condemn you or criticise your opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

100% behind you bil72 i'm am one of those who have just had enough its one crisis from another i'm sick of it, in my opinion that's not my rangers that turn out week in week out they are a poor imitation of the Rangers i grew up following and loving from the players right through the management all the way to the boardroom there is a set of standards you have to live up to and i'm afraid this lot fall well short in all departments. and be prepared for an onslaught of abuse from people like Rossw01 who think you should just blindly follow follow on regardless. i wish this Rangers all the best and maybe i will take in a game or two during the season but the days are gone when i organised my life round football.

Agree0 Disagree0

TESCO. ! Really ? Man alive, I'm as p1ssed at what's going on at Rangers as the next man but feck me, to compare it to ANYTHING Tesco could do or mean to me. Jeebus! Nah, I'm more with Rossw01 on this

@2 Absolutely agree. The man is being lambasted for being frank on his views.Obviously it was no easy decision after forty years of supporting the club.Whilst agreeing on most points made regarding the demise of our club,I personally will soldier on in the hope stability will be achieved in the near future. This is however,an open forum for all fans regardless of their position concerning Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

One more thing bil72 I've noticed that a lot of Rangers fans in our generation (50+)feel the same not all but i would say the majority it could be that we where spoilt growing up with a club that had morals paid their way where open and frank with us supporters a club that was not infested with people with dubious background, escorting interpol's most wanted around our stadium owners who made mistakes but at least we knew who actually owned the club. we are where we are and i congratulate those that can put all this behind them i wish i was one of them but unfortunately i cannot

Lochaberbear:Fine post pal.I've no way of knowing the exact ages of posters,I tend to try and guage it by words, phrases, patter whatever.Being over 50 myself I remember the bad old days all too well.Methinks a lot of posters grew up in the 9 in a row days and were spoiled rotten. Jim Denny anyone? Enough said.

30 Oct 2014 16:38:11
Gkk what a shout with Denny mate where did you pluck that from just remember him what about filling in the blanks and give us your worst team and manager I dread to think who would be named as we have had are fair share of clowns and impostors.

You post all you want bil72, after 40 years you're entitled to that at the very least. Plus, I now don't feel alone in my opinions about the value of honesty, tradition and moral integrity. It's nothing to do with success and everything to do with the values you hold dear. Good on you sir.

Who knows,it could be libelous?

ED : Am I barred from the site or what? My last two posts have been blanked,I was merely trying to tell soton bear I tried to answer his request over my worst Rangers team, manager and few bad players (my opinion).

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, I don't know what has happened, there are a number of posts missing. There was one that was suggested as a place we could point out that we have a team creator app on here that we could have put the link on, but the post has vanished too. It might be because we had a few server issues over the last few days and posts might have got swallowed there.}

Gkk. Wonder if we were anywhere close with our teams mine would probably be Kennedy (best Graham Roberts) malcolm, Denny, Olivier Bernard, Emerson, Capucho, Urquhart, faye, Jeffery, Ostenstad and Kevin Kyle. manager was tough but PLG just shaded it.

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all to the guy who compared Rangers to tesco WOW!!!!!!! REALLY??? Jesus is this what we are dealing with here? And again i gave my opinion. In my opinion if you think this rangers will never be the same if you think this rangers are finished if you think this rangers are not the same club u grew up supporting and you finished with it then why are you on a Rangers website? Simple question if your sick of it and finished with it why are you on here? Is that not a valid question?

Sotonbear: Now there's a few names I'd forgotten about.I never posted 11 names as such just worst team I've seen personally was 85 before Souness came, big Wallaces second stint,Bobby Russel was done, big DJ finished ,Colin Millar,Paterson,Beattie,Munroe. That team had Cooper,Durrant and McCoist but were rotten. As for Denny I had nightmares about Jimmy Johnstone runnin AMOK with him in 71 cup final.

So the League Cup semi finalists are us, Aberdeen, Celtic and Dundee United.

Just wondering who everybody wants in the semis? I'd go for United myself.

By the way does anybody know what the Celtic fans are boycotting about?

Naz: I'll take Celtic,we might be rotten but they're not much better just now.Good result for them last night, but a result against them is just what is needed to put a smile back on some long suffering faces.Bring it on.

I would take aberdeen all day long. Honestly think we would have a chance of beating them and it would be a great day out and something to look forward to. WATP
