Hi chaps, still on a high from last night what a result.

Next manager? I obviously don't know who its going to be but if Mark A is creating the short list and its a British manger then I think he may look at the EPL. Premier league we can't afford but EPL maybe. So I goggled the list of EPL mangers. One stuck out, Steve Bruce. he's on 1 million per year (i think), so affordable. he's got quite a few teams promoted to the PL, not easy. i'm not saying he is my first choice but I wouldn't complain if he was the man. Michel Proude Homme is still my first choice but that looks unlikely now. Anyone else got any left fielders.

30 Nov 2017 20:48:48
Been a long day, Championship not EPL but i'm sure you know what i meant

30 Nov 2017 21:19:13
i said mcinnes or graham alexander before pedro appointment maybe not the most ambitious but consistant and affoldable don't get criticism of mcinnes when aberdeen have overall been better than us for the last few years with smaller budget and selling best players

30 Nov 2017 21:36:20
Cant see it mate he's starting to turn villa around, saying that i don't know who we could or couldn't afford

30 Nov 2017 19:25:48
"candidates are under contract"
"appointment very soon"
Sounds horribly like it's McInnes on Monday.
Hope I'm wrong.

30 Nov 2017 21:30:59
i only hit the disagree button because i hope you are wrong and it ain't mcinnes, seems there's a new spanish bloke in the frame ex middlesborough manager mourhino at real

30 Nov 2017 19:04:50
Windass needs to be benched, another poor night last night. Obviously delighted with the result, here's hoping DK comes out with some good news, like he said about new manager. The young lad on loan from Manchester City should at least be given some game time. Seems a bit of a waste.

30 Nov 2017 19:42:27
windass was assist was he not

30 Nov 2017 20:15:23
Thought Windass had one of his better games last night. And after the slight tweak to the formation and a comfortable 3-0 win why would Murty make any changes unless enforced?

30 Nov 2017 20:52:26
In my last post I said that I hoped Windas had scored his last goal for us. I was at the game last night and would admit he gave more last night than any other game. I still don't think he has the heart, ability or fight to be Ranger. I expect the same effort week in week out and unfortunately he and a few others will be off the boil soon enough. Just not good enough to be a Ranger.

30 Nov 2017 22:43:26
@Floyder I never made it due to ill health, but watched it on tv. You are quite correct, not anywhere enough effort. Personally I thought he had a spurt last night then went off the radar but that's just my opinion. Some fellow bears have had a pop at Candeias, at least he tries and runs pretty much every game, if it came down to Windass or Candeias I know who I would keep.

30 Nov 2017 22:58:40
I thought windass worked extremely hard and had one of his best games last night.

30 Nov 2017 23:30:25
Windass linked up well at times last night and was unlucky with the offside as it was a tidy finish. Alarming point for me was when he was out sprinted by the big and bulky Scott McKenna. This shouldn't be happening but pass marks other than that.

01 Dec 2017 18:55:59
Should judge windass when he plays as a midfielder, a winger he ain't. One of our problems this season, playing boys out of position

30 Nov 2017 17:05:04
I don't know why I do this as I done the same last year but after watching Dave kings interview on gers tv I feel a lot better. maybe I'm just a dumb stupid guy who loves rangers so much that I'm still willing to believe what he says. he actually said some interesting stuff especially the bit about project 2022 about refurbishing ibrox stadium and the surrounding area. looking forward to see who the new manager will be as it's looking likely he will be in soon. still buzzing from last night. bloody love humping that mob.

30 Nov 2017 18:01:39
People just went into panic mode because we were beaten in the Hamilton and Dundee games, had we won them then people wouldn't have minded waiting a bit longer on the answers coming in the AGM (gutted even more about those games now as had we won those matches we would be sitting tight behind Celtic just now) .

Onward and upwards.

30 Nov 2017 18:46:27
Call me cynical guys but it is it possible that the board were hoping Murts would win all his matches therefore saving 800k on compo as the fans would happily accept him if he was winning and re-assess at end of season and that's why it taken so long.
King has stated that loans are needed till end of season so how would they come up with the extra for McInness.
Like any business why spend 800k when not needed.

30 Nov 2017 18:49:56
@Delboy "project 22" has already started.
22 boys from the U19 squad have been given hoes, forks, shovels and a mower to tidy all the grass outside your stadium lol

30 Nov 2017 16:59:41
Having been on here for a few years I'm well aware of the varying opinions we all have so I'm always puzzled when I say the words fans representive and then some spewing that I certainly don't agree with. Does anyone else on here feel the sam that these people do not project your views.

30 Nov 2017 16:29:06
Did res 11 get passed?

30 Nov 2017 17:36:38
I have been wondering the same thing

30 Nov 2017 14:30:29
If I'm honest, I would like to see McLeish in the frame and if possible, Ray Wilkins as his assistant

This is who I would like to see under the respective categories and worth the mention

Scottish Managers:

Derek McInnes
Alex Neill
Alex McLeish
Billy Davies

Winner: Alex McLeish

English Managers:

Sam Allardyce
Alan Pardew
Harry Redknapp
Tony Pulis

Winner: Sam Allardyce

European Managers:

Giovanni Van Bronckhorst
Frank De Boer
Ronald Koeman
Michel Preudde Homme
Slaven Bilic

Winner: Slaven Bilic

30 Nov 2017 14:53:24
Sam allardyce 6 million a year plus 5million for his assistants. Wise up and be realistic.
My info could be artefacts with murty

30 Nov 2017 15:02:52
Allardyce just got a 9 million deal at everton making him the 4th highest paid manager in the world. He would have never cane to a team like rangers in its skint state. He is old and sheeite anyhow.

30 Nov 2017 15:51:02
He would be the last pers I wanted, he's a crook and we have had enough of them fod, the board better get this right, we actually aren't as bad as most people think, add a couple in January then 3/ 4 quality in the summer

30 Nov 2017 16:48:35
Aye we have had enough of crooks and spivs to last a lifetime. And yes Del boy, I have said continually that this squad is more than decent as evidenced by last night's performance, it is the management that has been found wanting. 2 or 3 players in January to freshen things up and we'd be good to go. Could Pedro have done what Murty did last night and completely change the system as well as pick the correct players in the correct positions?

30 Nov 2017 18:48:29
Decent squad Seeker? So you are quite happy to beat Aberdeen and lose to Dundee, Hamilton and can't win 3 in a row aswell as compete for 3rd?

30 Nov 2017 20:47:07
It would cost 1.2 million a year for allardyces chewing gum so **** that

30 Nov 2017 20:56:14
Pardew in at West brom now, at least do a bit of research

30 Nov 2017 14:12:17
Mcinnes will not be our next manager, I bet the board go and get another manager right out of nowhere that none of us would ever have thought of, I hope I'm wrong though because I believe it's time for a Rangers man or at least a gers man at number two, we must get people into the club that knows all about Rangers, it's no surprise Celtic have Celtic minded people through out there whole club, that's what we need, I seen Ray Wilkins say pretty much the same thing the other day and he's bang on, the more Rangers men inside the club will only help us get back to were we all want Rangers to be.

30 Nov 2017 12:42:54
King at the AGM states the managers shortlisted are currently under contract and they should have something to report shortly.

I think that it's going to be Mccinnes.

30 Nov 2017 13:20:15
PS. I know Aberdeen have said Mccinnes is happy there etc (what else are they actually going to say though let's be honest), but Aberdeen have won just one match since Pedro was sacked i'm sure? Looks as if he's had his head turned, he's a bluenose and he would jump at the chance i'm almost certain.

Also, I get a lot of you don't want him, i'm not really that sure myself, i'm purely just creating a discussion, before folk start smashing the disagree button.

30 Nov 2017 14:22:35
Took note of the fact Aberdeen haven't quite been at it lately and thought also it was a sign of mcinnes being affected by the rumours! Not a major fan of him as next boss but if he gets the gig then il back him! Just hope whoever gets job gets back to basics, team needs to perform as we did last night with hunger and desire! Gets them fit and fighting for each other, in my experience that's 90% what's required to put points on the board

30 Nov 2017 16:52:03
That's what really bugs me about our players. we are so inconsistent. one game we will beat Aberdeen like last night yet we are capable of losing to Hamilton and Dundee. if only we didn't drop stupid points we would be right up there challenging Celtic. on our day we are not that bad

30 Nov 2017 12:10:48
Brilliant result and performance but I'm going to go on about what I think and have said b4 on here, Fod will cost us, weak at crosses cones for nothing and we look suspect at cross balls free kicks, also if we got a right back and left back that can defend we could let Tav and John bomb in midfield as it's there desire to go forward especially Tav (and proof last night he will get goals), Jack was immense last night but still shows studs too much and gives refs option for reds, but hopefully a good run coming and new man on board?

30 Nov 2017 13:07:18
I think Jack was brilliant as well but I have to disagree about pushing Tav and Jon forward. It sounds good in theory but they are really good going forward because they have space to run into and a longer starting run to begin with, usually from their own half. It would be a different story if they start in a higher position because they’d already be marked and wouldn’t have the advantage of having time to build up pace in their runs.

30 Nov 2017 14:06:32
Good point Blue89

30 Nov 2017 14:27:31
Finally someone who knows football blue89, tav and john are perfectly suited to Playing fullback aslong as we have someone sitting like Jack to protect the our centre backs also helps if alves is in the side as he has the experience to step out to win ball

30 Nov 2017 09:34:46
Great win last night, much more like it. McCrorie is an exciting talent and should be played CDM. Goals came from a defender and a midfielder so I'd still like to see Hardie given a game alongside Morelos. As for the dark side, yet another cheating dive to 'rescue' a point. The ref is certainly not a bluenose! If only we'd beaten Hamilton and Dundee we'd only be a point behind them. Still a long way to go and hopefully good news coming out of the AGM today.

30 Nov 2017 09:06:18
Apologies if this is a daft question is the rangers AGM live to stream or on any channel?

30 Nov 2017 10:37:58
Aren't AGMs confidential meeting for share holders?

30 Nov 2017 11:10:20
DR have a live feed with all the main points!

30 Nov 2017 14:01:25
I’ve just returned from the meeting and the media are in attendance it’s not confidential you will be able to read basically word for word what was said in press

30 Nov 2017 08:34:59
I will probably get slated for this but I think Danny Wilson was excellent last night against Aberdeen he showed that when he puts his mind to it he is a great defender and has a great range of passing it out from the back he looked a lot more solid with Alves beside him thoughts troops.

30 Nov 2017 08:58:35
Must agree with you there Biglach. To be fair there wasnt many who put a foot wrong last night. A great display against a team who we weren't expected to beat never mind wipe the floor with

30 Nov 2017 10:23:41
I know the feeling biglach, I often feel vulnerable to a disagree button hammering for praising one of our one players on this site hahaha.

I agree, I think Wilson and Alves as the CB pairing worked really well with McCrorie lying deep in the midfield diamond.

Pena worked well in the top of the diamond also, when Pedro played him he was always behind Morelos in that spearhead shape and he was too easily crowded out the game. Having Miller and Windass further in front of him allowed him more time and space.

Was impressed with everybody, wasn't perfect but it was a massive improvement, more of the same at their midden please.

30 Nov 2017 11:45:49
Very impressive last night, more like how I expect a rangers team to play. McCrorie may have found his best position, and nice to see Fod taking proper goal kicks instead of those short ones that invite the opposition onto us. We seemed to be first to most balls and getting stuck into tackles. Just need to do this every match now, and start bossing games!

30 Nov 2017 16:41:04
totally agree I would like to know the 2 that disagree reasons.

30 Nov 2017 00:15:41
Like to see formation with Morelos and Pena up front.
