MW manages this team like a 12 year old playing Champ Manager! I'll load one tactic and stick with it every game, all season, no matter the opposition, no matter what happens in the game. Come on, that is absolutely pathetic from a so called professional. He obviously has no tactical knowledge whatsoever then. The only difference I see between him and Ally is that MW has slightly better players than Ally did. He needs to stop trying to fit the players into his tactic and instead find a tactic that fits the players. Also Tavernier needs to be dropped. I said on here weeks ago he was a shocking defender and people came on saying he was one of our best players. Tonight proves me right I think. He is living off his 10 goals last year. Anything he does going forward is not enough to negate his defensive frailtes. At this moment in time I would take a RB who didn't set foot outside his own half over Tavernier in a heartbeat.

01 Dec 2016 00:34:48
i like that bit instead find a tactic that fits the players but
slightly better players than Ally did but they are not good players
look at them passing the ball they can't pass it to team mate.

01 Dec 2016 09:53:54
Warbs has good knowledge and a vision for future of the game but it just won't work in scotland he will eventually become a sucess in england where teams are competing on a level in every game! At rangers however every opposing team raises there game and level of physicality which unfortunately warbs just can't come to terms with.

30 Nov 2016 23:18:48
Tomusa. Agree with all your post with one exception. Tavernier is useless at defending and never a right back. Along with Warburton Halliday and the rest they are a disgrace to the jersey and out their depth.

30 Nov 2016 23:09:26
Warburton must go asap. Out his depth. Many many reasons This current team are dross in every position a disgrace to the jersey ever one of them rant over.

30 Nov 2016 23:06:36
Warburton must go this is fooball
not video game and the player simply not good enough for Premiership or
under 19.

01 Dec 2016 00:01:48
Best of it is some of our under 19s are prob better than some of our first team players bout time
Warbs wakes up to me it seems the majority of players do not seem to be playing for him something ain't right behind the scenes they definitely are suited to this formation everyone can see this part from Warburton that score tonight could have been a lot worse 3 or 4 nill another performance like that against Aberdeen then he has got to go without doubt.

01 Dec 2016 00:15:57
under 19s are better than most of our first team players.

30 Nov 2016 22:58:18
1st time posting Been a supporter for 50 years and will always back the Gers but tonight was an all time low. when o when will we try playing with two strikers It didn't look as though anyone cared about the score the players look lost Please Mr Warburton try a a change of tactics rather than just a change of like for like We are Rangers other teams should fear us At the moment we're far to slow and predictable to scare anyone If we play with passion on Saturday Ibrox will be jumping if not it could get nasty.

01 Dec 2016 02:52:01
Neither the manager, his captain or the majority of these players know what playing with passion is! Equally they have no idea of what it means to be a Rangers player. There isn't a leader on the park and I doubt there is one of the current lot, (the injured players excepted), that know what captaining a team and leading them on the park means.

There is a lack of commitment, there is a total lack of team spirit, there is no fight and skill is limited. The defence is a disaster zone and that begs the question of what exactly Weir adds. You would think that he could develop the centre backs but clearly not, you would think that he would install in the players what Rangers is all about. There again nothing! Barton was castigated for what he reputedly said but it is difficult to disagree with him if this was the case.

01 Dec 2016 07:02:28
i totally agree Barton was Made scapegoat. Yet he was another player who looked unfit Out his depth and not interested. Need find answers anD quick or we won't make top 6 at This rate.

30 Nov 2016 22:51:59
MW and DW have done there job and got us up, now time to look for someone who can take us forward.
Our defence has been woeful for 18 months.
That says it all, everybody can see it apart from the management team.

30 Nov 2016 23:26:01
Not everyone supercooper (strangely missing tonight) and James Stirling don't see it.

30 Nov 2016 22:50:17
Hate to be critical of Warburton cause I thought he did a fantastic job last season but it has to be at the point now where he realises its time for a change of shape, we drop too many points due to the play being too obvious and teams taking advantage of that. I do believe that 3-4 players of quality are required in january but knowing that we have to make do this would be my team for Aberdeen on saturday,

Foderingham, Hodson, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace, Tavernier, Holt, Halliday, O'Halloran, Garner, Dodoo

A straight forward 4-4-2 just to see if the players would be more suited to it. Unfortunately I can never see that happening under Warburton and that worries me that he refuses change.

01 Dec 2016 00:48:11
Hodson is no where near good enough and Wallace is significantly worse that Tavernier. He is not a leader and I reckon that we are now seeing why he stayed with us during the bad times. Basically he stood out in a poor league and tonight he was destroyed by Patterson of Hearts!

Holt is another one that is totally out of his depth and Kiernan is a donkey. We are a leaderless shambles, a team totally lacking in commitment and short on quality.

No one shows an ounce of winning mentality and it is beginning to look like Barton was 100% correct. It is also clear that McCann can see problems that Warburton either closes his eyes to or just doesn't see!

30 Nov 2016 22:47:52
Where do You start after that dross tonight
1) warburton is out his depth. Time to go asap
2) Tavernier is useless as at right back as he can't defend Nothing new there
3)Wilson and Kieran r useless and never a central partnership
gutless spineless useless Are just a few adjectives to start with. I Watched 2000 cup final last night as rangers 100th major trophy. What a team that was under Advocaat Night and day to this course useless bunch masquerading in a rangers jersey. I am of fear for a trial at Murray.

30 Nov 2016 22:44:55
We can all come on here and moan all night but warburton won't be sacked end of king will stick by him got to admit it isn't good at the moment but its our first season back in the spl some players ain't good enough fair enough and need replaced but not much we can do till january and its just unfortunate the likes of rossiter crooks windass and niko have all struggled with injury and barton was a waster and a still think big gilks deserves a run in the team need a commanding experinced keeper to keep on top of the back four just my opinion bears.

30 Nov 2016 23:16:04
Your maybe correct but Warburton is not learning anything from games, unwilling to change formation or defenders stick with players that are clearly out of form, and does not promote the younger players ( does this not sound all to familier ) . We're are a one trick pony and everybody's getting a free ride! Ever since St Johnstone showed every one how to play against us, that's when it a changed and we're still the same!

30 Nov 2016 23:23:45
Simply not true. King has already decided he is unhappy with Warburton, his tactics, signings, performances and results
Money constraints mean he intended to change manager at the end of the season but results are changing that.
Not crazy speculation, the source is a lifelong season ticket holder and King family friend.

30 Nov 2016 23:28:27
You might be right - but the bottom line is football is fundamentally simple - you score more goals than the other team!

Our problem is we never learn from our mistakes!

We are too busy saying we are simply "unlucky".

If King sticks with Warburton he is endanger of "backing the wrong horse" and supporters will start looking for his head sooner rather than later!

Too much talk - "we are second" - not any longer.

01 Dec 2016 00:53:47
Gilks would not have made a difference tonight, Fodderingham had a decent game and saved us from a bigger loss. Where I am struggling is that Warburton cannot see that Wallace is not a captain and tonight we saw him struggle against a decent quality player. Kiernan is rank rotten, and it just does not work for him and Wilson in the same team. Wilson was a good player at Hearts and a worthy captain, yet he is mediocre at best with us. Why?
Our midfield is a joke; yes we might be unlucky with Rossiter and Krancjar out injured, but if Holt is the best we have then we really are in trouble!
What exactly is David Weir's role, he doesn't seem to be improving the defence and if anyone should be capable of instilling a fighting spirit in this bunch it should be him. Have we really signed a bunch of wimps!, or Is Warburton destroying decent players.

01 Dec 2016 09:36:04
Am no saying fod had a bad game a just would like to see gilks get a chance he's a big commanding keeper and would keep the defence on there toes have not once seen anything to suggest fod does that and sometimes he's to slow off his line and looks like he's scared to go in 50/ 50 with a striker we have missed big hill at the back aswel.

30 Nov 2016 22:39:01
Watching that dross tonight is probably a watershed:
1) warburton is out his depth. Time for change Many many reasons

2) Tavernier is absolutely useless at defending never a right back not based on one game Out his depth at right back

3) Wallace is out his depth as captain mediocre at best. Never a rangers captain
I could rant all night. i watched the 2000 cup Final last night as it was 100th trophy.

30 Nov 2016 22:20:34
New here guys. But see old problems. Tactics wrong. Getting bullied all over the park. No heart, no desire. Defence is abysmal. what is Weir doing in training? Can't seem to pass the ball well. This is RANGERS! Come on! Big Jock would be turning in his grave. We can get guys that can play for the jersey without forking out surely?

30 Nov 2016 22:39:49
Not just the defence awful we were awful all over the park. Halliday and Holt were totally anonymous and Crooks was clearly not fit enough for such a game.

30 Nov 2016 22:43:00
Warburton is our version of Deihlah or whatever his name is. every team has us sussed irrespective of their abilities. If we lose to the Sheep (which is more than a possibility) we'll be saying point behind them and they'll have two games in hand.

I said MW had to go after the St Johnstone game and it's got steadily worse since. Tonight he played Halliday and Holt yet again when neither have performed anywhere near an acceptable level since the semi final last season. Crooks is a CENTRAL DF but gets played further forward and nearer the left to accommodate Halliday? Taxi for Warburton, end of.

30 Nov 2016 23:20:53
His name is deila mate! And u wish warburton was like him! A guy with 3 top flight league championship winners medals in his cupboard back home! Something your magic hat will never achieve! So please don't Bring Ronnie into the shambles your club is eh!

30 Nov 2016 23:01:59
Welcome to the often frustrated, often argumentative, often hilarious, often unbelievable, often visited by others from the Dark Side banter siteπŸ‘.

30 Nov 2016 22:17:03
4th big game 4th defeat

Celtic twice, Aberdeen and now Hearts

Scored 2 lost 10 goals

Is this the real "five year plan"? This isn't bad luck this is just a team of losers?

Is this the truth JB said in dressing room?

Warburton has two games to turn his career?

Aberdeen and Hearts at home - two defeats he will surely have to walk - no more excuses?

Give Kenny Miller the job - now?

30 Nov 2016 22:37:08
Agree with much of what you say but not Miller, or any other rookie, as manager! Experience is vital!

30 nov 2016 22:59:14
whats kenny miller going to do.

01 Dec 2016 01:06:01
The problem is finding a quality replacement. Celtic brought in a good quality manager with credibility in the EPL and he inherited a team of decent quality players that had been mismanaged for as long as we were under McCoist. They gave their new guy a decent war chest and they are moving forward. Unless I am seriously misjudging King and his colleagues we are not at the races in this respect.
We still have a team that is Championship level or bottom six at best. It is lacking quality, commitment, a winning mentality and leadership, most of the players acquired in the summer have been failures and in a lot of cases they were injured when they joined or at best not match fit.
We need another Lawrence Marlborough style revolution and if King is not the man to do this then he needs to find someone that can.
It is a long shot but I would be courting Souness to see if he could get Kennedy to invest and I would be asking Souness if he would take on the job of General Manager with the responsibility of bring in a quality manager and rebuilding the team.
I have to believe that we would quickly see a different level of commitment, we would see a team that wanted to win at all costs and those that didn't conform would be out on their backside.
This is not Rangers, Warburton does't have a clue what our club is all about. King should know better.

30 Nov 2016 22:13:34
Complete schoolboy defending, tav didn't look interested not one cross beat the first man. Wallace is not a captain. Wilson can't read the game and caught on his heels. Everyone saying Crooks to start well I saw nothing to say play him again. Yet again Keirnen getting pelters unfairly in my opinion. A midfield that pass back as there second touch. Miller plays in spurts to often caught on his heels not looking good for Saturday if we play same way again.

30 Nov 2016 22:53:01
Crooks will get blamed for not performing and it'll be glossed over that his favoured position was already taken up by Halliday! The big man got booked taking 'one for the team's when Halliday put in yet another mis-timed, half-hearted tackle in midfield. 4-3-3 can't work if you don't have the players to deliver it, yet MW continues to be oblivious to this. Tonight showed that we DON'T have what it takes to finish second and I genuinely fear that third could slip away unless a new manager is brought in now. He has no clue on how to play to the player's strengths, tolerates a weak captain and merely tinkers with players in the same system no matter what. HE HAS TO GO NOW!

30 Nov 2016 22:09:25
Beginning to think change is needed getting tired of the same old same old, I bet the post match interview and players interviews will be the same, same formation, same subs times, same subs, the defence is rotten yet they get 90 min every week. Davy Weir must be in charge of the defence and yet no improvement the jacket are on a sooogly nail guys you made Hearts look good but they deserved their win!

30 Nov 2016 22:34:36
I was very dissapointed tonight I have tried to have faith in warbs but after watching that tonight I feel the players aren't giving 100% and its mostly down to a system that does not suit, they look beat before they start no inspiration no determination no belief! Very poor against a team that can certainly be got at! That midfield is worst I've witnessed in 30 years.

30 Nov 2016 23:08:48
Bongo your one of the fairest and most sensible posters on here! Who would you want to replace warburton as our next manager if it was to come to pass mate?

30 Nov 2016 22:07:41
Utter garbage.
Let's be honest, hearts deserved the win by miles. Rangers looked disinterested. Tavernier is a joke. He was at fault for both goals and as for the rest. Not even worth mentioning.
I'm seriously considering not going on Saturday. Its time to stop talking crap and just admit that rangers are pish. Warburton has had more time, more money and more support than the last two managers and he's done hee haw. His stubbornness and obvious lack of tactical knowhow is there for all to see. I hope Dave king shuts the purse in January because Warburton couldn't purchase a diamond in a jewellery shop.
Peace out from this unhappy teddy bear.

30 Nov 2016 22:31:57
@yogibear72 - great to hear the team can expect your full support on Saturday. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out!

01 Dec 2016 03:51:18
Union jack, I follow the gers at every at every home game I can make. I work weekends and I'm on rota to work this weekend. In order for me to make a game I have to start my day a 5 am in order to do my job and make it down to Glasgow in time for the games. It's a hell of an effort to put in just to watch a clueless management team and clueless players week in week out. I'll still be there but, like all fans we're allowed to vent our frustrations at substandard performances.
Maybe your happy to be a Warburton sheep but I've got an opinion and it is that he's had enough time and resources to make an impact and he's cocked it up!

01 Dec 2016 08:14:16
@yogibear72 - I'm no sheep. Just don't see how we can go from only having 15 managers in our history to wanting to sack one after 15 league games?
People need to get a reality check of where we currently are as a club on and off the park.
P. S. Who would you like to see as manager?

01 Dec 2016 09:39:00
I understand that our club has a proud history of not going through managers like some other clubs but, c'mon now, are you trying to tell me that Warburton has strengthened his team adequately? He wasted money on Barton, kranjar and senderos. Those wages most probably could have been better utilised on other better players. I won't follow Warburton blindly, I can see the faults in his team selection and his tactics so, if he won't change or adapt to the situation then he's not the right man to take us forward.
I don't know who could so, I've no idea who we could replace him with as manager TBH.

30 Nov 2016 22:02:57
Anyone who reckons Warburton is a manager after this is deluded.
He constantly plays wrong formation, constantly plays guys that are next to hopeless at times and the worst of all? he plays players out of position.

Record shows we have not lost at ibrox in a while, on this performance we have 3 gubbings coming up. The sheep, tarts and tims.

30 Nov 2016 22:25:51
Why are we surprised at the result! Kiernan and Wilson is a joke partnership and neither of them are Rangers class although I have to ask what the hell David Weir is doing since I would have thought he would have the gumption to either develop them or tell Warburton to get rid!

There is a reason why Jason Holt left Hearts; he is a Championship player that is totally out of his depth in the top league and I will say it again, Wallace is never a leader and tonight he was a pathetic excuse for a full back as well. He was given the runaround by Patterson!

Defensively, only Tavernier and the goalkeeper come away from that game with any credit.

In midfield only Halliday is worth mentioning, he was Rangers best player. The rest were not worth the admission money and unfortunately Dodoo struggled although his goal should have stood.

That team is leaderless, they don't have a winning mentality, they don't, (with few exceptions), understand what playing for Rangers is about. They lack fight, the lack team spirit, I'd like to say that they are one dimensional but they are not even that.

I am starting to agree with Joey Barton and definitely agree with McCann. The summer signings have been a total joke; a mixture of injured players and players that are frankly not good enough. It was clear for all to see that Crooks was not match fit tonight, I could go on but its pointless.

If Warburton goes then he will be replaced by some other second rate manager or worse still, Weir will get the job, because any manager worth considering will want a transfer budget that is not there.

It look like King went for Warburton based on his exploits at Brentford without thinking it through and to be fair, most of us supported him.

Celtic, much as it pains me to say it, have set the standards with the appointment of the ex Liverpool guy. We need someone better!

30 Nov 2016 22:29:38
@gosman - and I bet you've never been a manager but seem to think you are by your post?

30 Nov 2016 22:38:58
Tomusa, I agree with every point you make except tav getting pass marks. He was sleeping for both goals.

30 Nov 2016 22:40:55
Tavernier comes away from that game with credit? Was I watching a completely different game?

30 Nov 2016 22:42:15
TOMUSA

Tavernier was at fault for both goals. How do you reckon he gets pass marks?

30 Nov 2016 23:07:54
Tom USA, are you serious? Holliday was shocking and Tav almost single- handed gave away two goals. Crooks was thrown in to an alien position to accommodate Halliday, leaving it for Holt to be the creator (which he never had been or could be) . I'm sick of everyone praising Halliday when he can neither, tackle, make a basic pass, cross or be in the position he's meant to be in. Barton might have thought he would have an easier ride in Scotland but, imagine how he must feel being jettisoned for a donkey like Hallidsu. MW must now go and get a caretaker manager to see us through til we can attract someone with a modicum of tactical nous.

30 Nov 2016 22:58:21
tav and halliday were probably the worst players on the pitch.

30 Nov 2016 22:02:45
Let's have a show of hands. Hit agree if you think Warburton should go and disagree if you think he should stay.

30 Nov 2016 22:17:46
Who would disagree. Warburton has to go he is a complete muppets. As are the majority of his players.

30 Nov 2016 21:56:42
Really poor tonight, was happy to allow warburton till the end of season, but we seem to be getting worse . can't think of a player who played half decent tonight and that's a concern.

30 Nov 2016 22:05:05
KP ranger

Why would you give him until the end of the season? Things will only get worse until he goes.

30 Nov 2016 22:27:43
DIABOLICAL! MW and DW should go now.
What is it we actually do in training all week? That whole team look as if they don't know each other (same really since semi last year) No consistency, No ability, No confidence, No Guts, No brains.
Panic and predictable subs AGAIN - Why was Dodoo replaced? he is the only player with a shot on goal and has won us last two games with his goals and assists - Garner should be playing alongside Dodoo IMO - Tavarnier? Lost for words.

30 Nov 2016 22:35:58
@biffo316 - and who's going to come in and turn it around playing the silky football we all seem to demand? Smith? Big Eck? You're having a fecking laugh. The next manager if there is a change is stuck with the same group of players.

30 Nov 2016 22:56:08
Why was dodoo replaced? lol. he was replaced because je couldn't hold his water never mind the ball. the big guy upfront for hearts showed him how its done and he prob cost pennies.

01 Dec 2016 01:18:51
Why does Wallace escape criticism. He is never a Leader, never in a million years. Tavernier gets criticised, and that I can understand, but Wallace was given the runaround by Patterson! As for Halliday, and people will know that I am not his biggest fan, he is the only one that shows any commitment and he is played out of position. Why only Warburton knows! With regards to Crooks it was pretty obvious today that he is not match fit, so not match fit and played out of position, a double whammy! We sign MOH but he is played out of position and we wonder why the guy struggles, same too with Garner!
The team is stacked full of Wimps, they are totally incapable of fighting for three points; I will say it again, what the hell is Weir doing, our defence is the worst I can remember!
All of the above said, what is the point of getting rid of Warburton if you are going to replace him with another mediocre manager! Celtic has set the standard with the appointment of the exLiverpool guy, to challenge then we need to go one step beyond and King and Co needs to support the new guy financially!

30 Nov 2016 21:55:56
If as i suspect we lose the next games to aberdeen and hearts the season will be effectively over and forget about a top 3 finish. No more excuses and platitues that we will learn because we dont. Same old same old and that group of players have no idea what they are doing. Warburton too stubborn to change tactics but too happy to change players every week so no consistency. Times up enough is enough.

30 Nov 2016 21:58:23
A one dimensional team with no outstanding player and absolutely nowhere near challenging for a title and the gap with Celtic widening.

As near the bottom of the league as the top and after four games against the top clubs in Scotland we've had four defeats, and inthree of them we were easily beaten.

I've tried to defend Warbs but this is becoming harder to do with each passing week.

30 Nov 2016 22:02:06
You can't defend the indefensible.

30 Nov 2016 22:04:07
Warburton has an awful record away from home against the top teams. We lost twice to both Falkirk and Hibs away last season and have now lost away to Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts. This man is clueless and needs to go.

30 Nov 2016 22:32:45
Can the board not see this or are they as deluded as some of the "5 year plan" support.

01 Dec 2016 08:33:29
@biffo316 - the Falkirk and Hibs results are irrelevant considering we got promoted.

30 Nov 2016 21:54:23
That was a joke, how we can play like that and only lose two goals is baffling.

Dodoo had a good finish struck off because Harry was caught napping!

Garner was unlucky not to get two at the end, they are the only positive points.

We are playing negative football and conceding goals with no reply, getting a last minute response from the lads to try and snatch something from the game and that is not how Rangers play.

Warburton keeps saying we build from the back, we don't but when we do it's predictable and scary!

Not happy after watching that, we must improve because I honestly think that we can't get much worse.

30 Nov 2016 22:06:29
Got to agree rafbob n your usually one of the fairest posters on here so how much longer would you give the management team?

30 Nov 2016 22:31:14
Put it this way, another performance like that and I'll be firmly sat in the "Warbs must go camp. "

He had a very vague, almost vacant look at points tonight and that is worse for me than seeing a manager who is visibly angered or even confused!

I can't figure out what we are employing Weir for either because it can't be defence coaching.

There more to be gained when chatting about topics with an objective opinion but I am a Rangers man through and through and my opinion is beginning to become more subjective.

30 Nov 2016 22:45:55
You cannot build from the back with that defence. Passing tonight was shocking. Bomb scare stuff. Total gutless pathetic performance. Only pass marks was Garner when he came on. The rest. Well on tonight's performance are also robbing the club of a very decent wage. Lucky to finish 3rd. New manager? Michael O'Neill?

30 Nov 2016 22:00:25
Need Joey Barton back quick.

30 Nov 2016 21:53:33
i think its beginning to look like Warburton has lost the dressing romm, and that perhaps Barton was right, we need a bruiser of a captain, we need acomplete overhall, and most of all we need a manager in right away, that understands tactics, understands the game, and someone who would die for the club.

30 Nov 2016 21:49:04
We're do we going from here.

30 Nov 2016 21:53:58
If Warburton stays. oblivion.

30 Nov 2016 21:55:17
Aberdeen at home unfortunately mate.

30 Nov 2016 21:55:59
Further down the league I'm afraid if there is no change.

30 Nov 2016 21:56:22
That's what we're all thinking. We need to regroup for Saturday which is a sell out. Patience starting to be tested with Warburton.

30 Nov 2016 21:56:22
You better ask supercooper or James Stirling as they seem to think they have all the answers and anyone who criticises the manager isn't a proper fan. Wonder if they will be on tonight or they will do their usual disappearing act after another poor performance.

30 Nov 2016 22:00:58
It's that bad we may as well be back in the bottom division.

We have nothing to be positive about. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves on.

30 Nov 2016 22:04:51
Biffo, the 2 boys mentioned said it's a 5 year plan, going to be a long next 4 year for yous. Out his depth and it showed taking doodo off when needing 2 goals.

30 Nov 2016 22:34:32
It will be a ten year plan now?

01 Dec 2016 22:34:48
Biffo you should know better in saying i'll hide! Very poor performance tonight i admit without a shadow of a doubt! As usual just like tonight i'll be there on Saturday! What about you biffo will you be there at ibrox on saturday, supporting the bears?

Through thick and thin my friend just like I have done for 42 years now! Still will judge where we are at the end of the season! Nothing has been decided in november but i do agree with you that our performance against hearts tonight was very poor!

30 Nov 2016 21:48:24
Who would fellow bears bring in as a new manager?

30 Nov 2016 21:55:55
Harry rednapp if only we could afford him for me.

30 Nov 2016 21:56:56
This may seem controversial but I'd be happy with any manager who has a tactical knowledge of the game and big enough balls to keep players in check.

30 Nov 2016 22:11:28
Hein vanhaezebrouck gent manager in Belgium very tactical astute changes on a game to game basis if he needs to plus always wants play on front foot but doesn't neglect the defending side of game there always well organised with a game plan and not afraid give youth a chance either
This man seems like what we need
Could we get i'm that is a difrent question.

30 Nov 2016 22:32:45
We need a manager that is a totally ruthless, that demands success and doesn't accept second best. I doubt that we would get that without some real financial commitment from King and I am not sure that the funds are there to make it happen!

We need a captain and that should be a major priority. Wallace is not a leader and tonight he was a pretty poor defender as well.

We are miles away from Celtic and drifting further away by the day. We don't appear to have a manager that is a winner that can pick the guys up when they are down and what Weir is doing defies understanding.

This is the worst centre half partnership we have seen in the top league in forty five years and the poorest captain that I can recall. He does not have one ounce of leadership quality!

01 Dec 2016 22:07:33
We can't afford to pay him off. we are stuck with this until end of season unfortunately. This was always going to happen he is a mediocre manager with next to no football nuance on how to change his tactics to win a game. let's be honest our last 2 wins were bloody lucky and we have been sitting watching this "pish" with tinted blue glasses hoping we were wrong with what we were seeing? time to rip the plan up and start again. the way we should have from 2012 not looking for quick bloody fixes. long term and sustainable. the future is youths with a sprinkle of old head.

30 Nov 2016 21:47:32
For a while I've been backing MW and trying to give him credit.

Unfortunately now the more I see of this Rangers team the less faith I have in him.

I'm not quite ready for saying he has to go but yet again he has no plan B and it's starting to wear thin. Everyone knows how we play and when Wes Fod punts it long we have NOTHING up top.
We are rapidly becoming the most predictable team in Scotland.

30 Nov 2016 21:53:41
Cannot believe that performance tonight. We started first fifteen minutes ok but after that. Terrible full game. Tav needs to take look at himself for they goals but overall we were slow and didn't show up AGAIN.

30 Nov 2016 22:34:08
Tavernier was our best defender. Wallace was given the run around and our two centre backs were not at the races. In midfield only Halliday deserves any merit and Holt yet again was totally out of his depth!

30 Nov 2016 21:43:10
credit where credit is due, hearts out passed us, out thought us, out fought us . Had more desire more ideas and more heart. As far as I'm concerned that was absolutely woeful, and for the first time il say I honestly don't think warburton has it in his locker to get us where we want to be . i know results like this would happen but it's in the manner that it did happen that shocks me, every single man out there in a blue jersey simply wasn't good enough and a few simply aren't good enough full stop . Passing was shocking, the ball went to a maroon jersey more than it ever did a blue one and to loose two goals in the same manner like that simply isn't acceptable . I now fear for the next two weekends . Absolute garbage.

30 Nov 2016 21:50:43
time for change that's all I can say .

30 Nov 2016 21:51:23
That was hard to watch - passed the ball out the park and straight to hearts players all game! We created 2 chances all game. Should have flung garner up top with dodoo at the end. Brushed off the ball so weak. Fckn pitiful performance. All the talk about hearts manager moving on. I fear it might be warbs moving on sooner rather than later!

30 Nov 2016 21:52:55
Out fought us is as far as I read, I've been involved in football all my days and the biggest lesson I've learned is a team that fights and scraps will almost always win the day why are we not that team! That was always tbe rangers way! So sad our tradition is gone.

30 Nov 2016 22:35:31
Nic, that is my biggest gripe with Warburton's teams they have no fight, no team spirit and lack the will to win. It needs to change!

30 Nov 2016 21:38:32
We are well and truly effed. Board, management and players are rotten.
So DK get out of the stranglehold we are in . Time to realise all your lies are ending up where they started ------ in cloud cuckoo land.
Time to hang up my typing finger as I may post something I live to regret, and dk etc. are not worth it.

30 Nov 2016 21:42:31
put down without a wimper. nearly everybody on here loves dodoo and loves Miller and tonight showed the reason why they shouldn't be anywhere near a starting 11. forrester and crooks awful aswell. tavernier needs to go get some training off calum Patterson aswell.

30 Nov 2016 21:52:29
Cee, thought celtic were not that far ahead, though halliday was better than brown, thought wrong eh?

30 Nov 2016 22:10:41
Cee, how can you slate crooks? Guys played 20 mins all season n flung in from the start out of position.

30 Nov 2016 21:31:00
Warburton has lost dressing room since Barton carry on.

30 Nov 2016 21:45:36
Hi. New on here. I have never seen a gers team with no fight or desire. Passing terrible. No leader to be seen. It's embarrassing. A change is needed because we will end up outside top 4. The Manager can't seem to change tactics and why can't Weir sort out that back 4 in training? We need investment too.

30 Nov 2016 22:13:19
Wallace a legend for staying, captaincy weighting heavily on him. Need a real leader change formations tactics. Garner in a 442 a winner all day.

30 Nov 2016 21:28:53
What a dreadful performance and it's time Warburton was let go as job is to big for him! 😀😀😀.

30 Nov 2016 21:24:06
Results and more importantly performance's must improve or I fear Warburton n Weir will be up the road!

30 Nov 2016 21:29:54
Dont think they'll last the season.

30 Nov 2016 21:35:19
Well done Warburton, nice attractive football again! I'm getting really fed up with Warburtons still of play and his post match interviews "we learn, we move on and we're in a good place " Time for Warburton to move on I think!

01 Dec 2016 21:33:19
Lot of the players don't look as if they've got the heart to play for us, too lightweight in mid field and up front except garner.

30 Nov 2016 21:21:59
Enough is enough Warburton and Weir have to go for the reason being that the team have not been performing for a number of weeks and not being able to change formation/ tactics and get the best out of a big squad of players. If they can't see they problems with Tav's ability to defend when we have an international right back sitting on the bench, Keirnan's is just murder, Wallace never a captain then there's something wrong. Don't be surprised if the next 2 games will be their last as I don't see anything changing soon.

30 Nov 2016 21:42:47
Spot on mate. Outplayed by a team who cost cost and earn so much less but care so much more. If Kiernan is better than Senderos, Wilson better than Hill, Holt/ Halliday better than crooks then that says it all about the signings. Upfront is even more of a joke. A constantly revolving door of miller, dodoo, garner. If waghorn is not going to play, what is he even in the squad?

Warburton talks well and seems a nice guy, but so was super ally. Based on signings alone, he is failing at every turn.

30 Nov 2016 21:19:39
well bears there is no way this team will finish second or third.

30 Nov 2016 21:35:47
We are a proper mess. I'm sick of the same sh! t. Warburton MUST LEAVE NOW! Bring back McColl. Our manager is useless, our recruitment is a farce and our board are out of ideas and out of their depth. They have no money and no clue who to get it from.

Not interested in this bull about time. Time can not overcome a manager who refuses to adapt to his surroundings. He's a stubborn fool.

30 Nov 2016 21:43:44
stu mccall who took a 6 1 pounding off motherwell aye?

30 Nov 2016 21:57:20
Listen Cee open your eyes anyone is better than Warbs that's the point.

McColl is streets ahead of this fool!

30 nov 2016 21:15:21
supercooper james stirling and a few others! guess you are still going to defend that waste of space?

30 Nov 2016 21:24:00
Which one are you on about?

30 Nov 2016 21:29:52
The manager after all they seem to be the head cheerleaders of the Warburton fan club.

30 Nov 2016 21:41:41
I'm allow the giving opportunities to see an improvement but he is on his last legs!

I can't see anyone defending that nonsense.

Shown up by Hearts; not by lucky goals either, played out of our comfort and off the park and that is a joke.

30 nov 2016 21:14:45
supercooper james stirling and a few others! guess you are still going to defend that waste of space?

30 Nov 2016 21:13:33
It's sad that now our whole season rests on a 19 year old.

30 Nov 2016 21:10:56
We need someone to be a captain, someone to tell them to get a grip!

The lads are moaning and ducking out from simple tackles!

30 Nov 2016 21:10:02
Sos sir walter. enough is enough. i origaly said give warbs the season. we have struggled near every game we played. enoughs enough. calling sir walter.

30 Nov 2016 21:31:10
Walter for me aswell.

30 Nov 2016 20:43:41
I normally don't like slagging the team off but this has to be said. There is no creativity in the team, no killer passes, no spark, no inventiveness. It's all well and good passing the ball in a straight line but any footballer worth his salt can do that. I haven't seen our forwards run onto a through ball in weeks, it's always with their back to goal. This game looks like a dud, I hope I'm wrong.

30 Nov 2016 20:49:16
Oh that we could actually pass the ball straight! I'd actually settle for that at the moment!

No leaders in the team . missing big Clint at the back.

Cant see anyway of getting into this one . unless there is an inspired substitution (on 60 minutes of course! ) .

30 Nov 2016 20:39:39
Time for King to show leadership and act. enough is enough. can't string a couple passes together no product in final third. 4-3-3 don't work against other full time clubs. Good luck selling season tickets to watch this p! sh.

30 Nov 2016 20:56:08
Whats King gonny do? Pull on an old pair of Gola mouldies and and start himself up front! . he's nae money.

30 Nov 2016 20:21:02
I waited as long as I could but it seems we're being treated to another pile of shizen.

30 Nov 2016 20:36:41
Normal first half as far as I can see, no attempts on target, look clueless and we've gone a goal down.

Yep, it's going to plan so far.

30 Nov 2016 20:44:56
Lads, this is the worst in a very, very long time. Why does MW insist on playing Halliday and Holt! Crooks thrown in to an alien position instead of dropping Halliday. Result, no midfield craft whatsoever. Three subs needed immediately, bring on McKay, MOH and either Garner or Waghorn and take Halliday, Holt and Miller off. Play Forrester and McKay in the midfield with Crooks and the others up front. By the way, we're lucky Hearts have been almost as poor as us tonight.

30 Nov 2016 20:18:50
Forresters attitude is all wrong, he stoats about the park making silly mistakes, he's needing to spit that chewing gum out, get his hands out his sleeves and concentrate, it's no surprise he plays better when coming into the team.

30 Nov 2016 20:38:01
Another poor first half. Once again our defence is very poor in fact the whole team are poor. Is this the attractive football that Warburton wants to show the fans and send us home happy?

30 Nov 2016 20:18:09
For the hundredth time, Foderingham is a disaster waiting to happen! Warburton please take note!

30 Nov 2016 19:36:53
Rayman99 I'm a rangers fan and your statement is a bit funny as using the word "hate" in the same sentence as celtic its crippling my mind with laughter. During 90 mins of an old firm game is when I vent my built up hatred towards the other side namely your type, then I go out and plod on enjoying my life with all walks of society including your type. All the other teams are just side shows and the main attraction in town and around is the team who everyone is talking about including you and your lot the "FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS". All joking aside let's keep those involved in the tragic accident in south America in our thoughts πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡.

30 Nov 2016 20:41:31
Why are people talking about your club brotherkerr? . Its not for silky football, or great players or even that you pose any threat in this league. Its for all the wrong reasons, that's nothing to crow about. Rangers are the side show now. No one is taking your club seriously anymore. If your happy with folk laughing at you, then fine. All the "were this and that, only show in town" is empty words falling on deaf ears. If it helps make you feel relevant, carry on, it fair cheers all my type up.

30 Nov 2016 18:51:09
Crooks and dodoo start.

30 Nov 2016 19:08:53
Don't fancy that team one bit.

30 Nov 2016 19:38:22
Hope crooks and halliday can get stuck in and win the battle in midfield look to holt and forrester to create.

30 Nov 2016
The real time live chat page is open for today's Rangers match at the below link for you to talk to each other during the match

30 Nov 2016 16:33:22
Is windass fit for tonight?

30 Nov 2016 17:08:17
Dont think windass features tonight! Boys made of glass.

30 Nov 2016 18:24:07
Doubtful, he shouldn't have played at the weekend as he hadn't trained and looked gassed from KO which is a concern.

30 Nov 2016 19:12:49
Windass injured again!

30 Nov 2016 17:34:51
Chocolate legs! Nothing like his dad.

30 Nov 2016 15:11:55
yesterday warburton critised the fans for getting on garners back then today he is critising neil mccann all the points the fans and pundits are making are very valid points bout players and his tactics that cleary ain't working this is very unlike warburton to start having a go at people maybe the speclution over his tactics and player choice is getting to i'm at a club of rangers size this will always happen so he will have to learn to deal with pressure instead of having digs at fans and pundits good performances is best way do this but week after week our performances are the same hopefully tonight we put in a much better performance and get the win.

30 Nov 2016 16:21:36
Why does he have to change tactics? We are in second place in our first season back. All other teams except 'septic' We have played this season have been pish and played with 5 at the back. Warburton made some valid points in his press conference! Give garner time to settle before forming an opinion of what he can and can't do! We have a massive next 3 games coming up let's get behind the manager and the team instead of being negative about tactics, players our manager. I would say we are on target to finish second and if we don't Dave king will probably sack Warbs at the end of the season!

30 Nov 2016 16:43:42
IF FANS AND EX PLAYERS ARE WILLING TO HAVE A POP, THEN HE SHOULD BE ALOUD TO DEFEND HIS TACTICS AND HIS PLAYERS.

I don't see the problem with a manager not being happy with his players and his tactics being criticized.

I hop that we click at some point this season and start playing the football we did last year, then all the fans and all the ex players will have no option but to either apologise
or at least admit they where wrong.

30 Nov 2016 18:29:39
To be fair, I thought the criticism of MW was ott on Sky Sports and they obsessed about King being unhappy with him at the AGM which I also feel was misunderstood! He's got a right to be defensive! Also, the criticism of the Garner signing is borderline ridiculous! Some people are just unable to see the value in a player.

30 Nov 2016 12:08:21
The team I want to see tonight gilks, crooks RB, keirnan, hill, Waldo, Halliday, windass, holt, forrester, dodoo, moh.

30 Nov 2016 12:21:43
Unfortunately, I think Hearts are set up to kick 10 shades of cauliflowers out of a very lightweight Rangers team. Aberdeen same philosophy.
You cannot really see this current Rangers team putting up a physical challenge.
Would hang on to your hats on to your hats next week or 2.

30 Nov 2016 12:32:23
Big Wes won't be dropped and rightfully so he's done nothing wrong to deserved to be dropped.

30 Nov 2016 12:37:23
Seen Crooks in a lot of fans starting 11 lately. Usually in place of Andy Halliday.

Can someone say what Jason Holt has done the last few games to warrant getting a start ahead of Halliday.

Doubt MOH starts against Hearts. Miller will. Would love Hill to start, likely it'll be Keirnan, Wilson though. Windass likely for Aberdeen and not this one.

Think he'll go for Tavernier, Keirnan, Wilson, Wallace, Halliday, Holt, Forrester, Miller, Garner, Dodoo.

Saying that though, Miller, Garner, and Dodoo are all out and out strikers.

30 Nov 2016 12:39:14
I would prefer gilks in goals as he commands the defence and is just as good if not better than wes.
but to say u want crooks a midfielder who has played cb to play in the rb position is stupidity he is untried this season not match fit and also "mate" you need to start going to the games or watching them at least as tav has been one of our best in defence this year. he for me has nailed his place as rb and rightfully so.
(do me a favour and don't point out one or two mistakes he has made as the whole team has done loads of mistakes) .

30 Nov 2016 13:05:03
Totally agree I wasn't a fan of tavs defending last season but he's improved greatly this year. He is one player who deserves his place in team every week.

30 Nov 2016 13:21:58
Good point about the physical challenge in the next three games. Perhaps that is why Halliday and Garner will probably start. Maybe wee Barrie can win us a penalty if they scythe him down in the box (if he ever reaches the box, lol) . Hill wouldn't be a bad start either in the physical stakes and O'Halloran is a pretty big guy. This is one game Barton might have relished, but there we go.

30 Nov 2016 14:04:42
we shouldn't try play a rough game that's playing into their hands we should try get back to silky football as for me when that was the main focus the goals always came.

we can't try play hearts at their own game that's just silly.

30 Nov 2016 15:18:25
Feel in every game Holt has a larger contribution and is better in his position than Haliday is in his. The last game we played in particular Haliday was dreadful. It's wishful thinking that Crooks will be successful in there but we have a player who has bags of quality in Rossiter who we just need to get fit. We really have no idea what its like to play with a proper CDM, Barton was never fit, Rossiter had glimpses and Haliday is never a defensive midfielder. Who knows how our play could improve with a proper sweeper breaking up the play, who can put us on the front foot quickly, that in conjunction with Wilson's return to the first team should see us having a better chance of winning games. Every fan would have had Rossiter, Barton and Kranjcar in there team's if they were fit and playing to there potential we have had a second bit midfield all season and it has shown. Many would even have Crooks as a better quality player (of him and Windass he was the highly rated one) showing how dire our midfield has been due to injuries this season.

30 Nov 2016 17:10:50
James sterling, I am season ticket holder and have not missed a home game this season and have either attended or watched away games. i put crooks at RBI because he has played there before fact and I feel he would cope better than tav with the aerial bombardment that hearts use. They will launch deep crosses into our back post where tav will toil to defend.

30 Nov 2016 17:27:05
But then again a good skillfull team should always beat a physical team, come on the RANGERS! ⚽️.

30 Nov 2016 18:00:44
Never mind what has Holt done what has crooks done all these people who want him in the guy can't get fit. I would love the boy to prove his worth but he can't because he can't get fit but Holt and halliday to me are our best options.

30 Nov 2016 11:56:56
Rather surprised Neilson has decided to go to MKDons. Completely wrong decision in my opinion. However hopefully that will really dishearten his players tonight.

30 Nov 2016 12:41:26
naw mate no the wrong decision as they have a much bigger budget than hearts and a 40,000 seater stadium with a owner that only wants the best for them and he has money for nielson.
if he does well down there for 2 years he will be head hunted again.
and he is a good manager.

30 Nov 2016 14:38:23
Bigger stadium must be super useful in league 1. average attendance of 8.4k, less than hearts. and as far as I'm aware hearts are close to the exact same wage budget as MKdons.

30 Nov 2016 14:42:52
he's taken hearts as far as they can go, the only way is down.

30 Nov 2016 16:03:54
By making this move Neilson will put himself in the sights of bigger clubs if he makes a success of it. The club has some money for him to operate at a higher level in the transfer market. Because he is a former Rangers 'S' form I wish him well now that he is no longer manager of a rival club.

30 Nov 2016 10:52:50
Reported in the Record Rangers unable to play in Europe next season due to breach of UEFA financial fair play rules. that's the Euro money plan down the lavvy then!

30 Nov 2016 11:05:03
That's not quite what the article said. It states that the SFA's view is that special dispensation would be granted by UEFA. Rangers' situation is far from unique. I suspect you are a troll from the east end and that you'd believe anything the DR rag might print.

30 Nov 2016 11:23:32
not quite witagoal, we can still play in Europe. we haven't breached any rules. All we need to do is prove to UEFA that we can reduce our losses and continue as a going concern if we qualify for Europe.

Quote from the super amazing "SFA Source"

He said: β€œI suspect that UEFA would grant special dispensation to them because there have been several instances of other clubs, in similar circumstances, being permitted to participate.

β€œWhat they would certainly do is ask Rangers to provide independently confirmed, detailed information about their finances as well as their plans to become financially sustainable. ”.

30 Nov 2016 12:15:24
But can we supply such information to uefa.? . we find it difficult to get audited accounts fully signed off. without an ongoing concern being attached!

30 Nov 2016 12:45:36
what u on about johnnyg?
ovcourse we will be able to get documents confirming that if we get into Europe then that would help stabalize the club.

and that's only if uefa ask for it we don't need to provide it because sfa said so.

30 Nov 2016 14:06:04
Didn't Derry City fail in some such scenario?

30 Nov 2016 14:52:55
How can you guarantee Europa league money would guarantee the stability? Definitely over estimating the money on offer, and that's assuming qualification to the group stages. Rangers are over the threshold by about 10 million so i think UEFA would definitely ask. Dynano Moscow and Galatasaray both banned for similair.

30 Nov 2016 17:23:38
It might be a bit difficult to prove you have a plan to reduce your losses particularly when king told shareholders at the agm they would have to spend more than they make for some considerable time which would indicate the losses will increase, you can never really tell if anything that man says is true or a lie. Suppose that's tobacco be expected when you have a convicted criminal at the helm.

30 Nov 2016 10:37:10
Some of Warburton's remarks to the press come across as too defensive. People are entitled to criticise him and his team selections seeing as Rangers are so far behind Celtic already. His latest comments on BBC's website are defending Garner. If Warburton doesn't play Dodoo from the start tonight I would seriously doubt his judgement. Looking at the SPL table, even Inverness Caley Thistle have scored more league goals than us so something is amiss when it comes to sticking the ball in the net. A win tonight would put us 6 points clear of Hearts so get to it boys and Warburton, pick the right team!

30 Nov 2016 11:08:35
Yep, a win in what will be a battle tonight would be great result. We know it will be a battle and that the pitch will be poor, hope MW has prepared the team accordingly.

30 Nov 2016 11:39:36
I wouldn't say defending a player that just signed for the club in summer is overly defensive.

People have a right to criticise him and his team but he has the right to fight back, and defend himself.

If MW doesn't play Dodoo from the start, then he'll be on the bench. We've seen especially over the last two games, it isn't just the starting eleven that wins you games it's the lads who come off the bench as well.

The team will have to put in a much better performance than the last two games combined to even consider and kind of decent result, it's the mighty Hearts we're up against.

30 Nov 2016 11:55:46
Guys Dodoo is not good enough to play from stat at Tynecastle. Yes he's saved us with 2 late goals on Saturday but overall he has not shown enough. Garner will be a threat a Tyncastle with his aerial ability and work rate. Kenny Miller speaks for itself and Forrester starts after his performance on Saturday.

30 Nov 2016 12:03:05
I'd like dodoo to start as striker tonite but don't think it will happen. Hearts are a big strong team and I think warbs will play garner. If he does I just hope he stays on park he looks a loose cannon to me.

30 Nov 2016 13:36:53
id like dodo and miller to start! miller on the left dodo through the middle and i'd put McKay on the right from the start.

30 Nov 2016 14:43:57
dodoo garner moh
forrester
halliday crooks.

I'd like to see that midfield and attack.

30 Nov 2016 16:06:53
Cee, why on earth would you drop Miller?
