Listening to Press Confrences the last couple of weeks has been hysterical.

Do reporters actually do any research. And it isn't just the obvious garbage that we all expect.

Heard them asking MW if the players that are being signed in January will be players who can warm the bench. They then asked if he had to sell anyone to fund these deals.

Do they ever do research or listen to anything that has come out of Rangers. We are signing players who are good enough for the top flight and who will have a clear path to start week after week.

See MW is even money favourite to take the Fulham job hope for our sakes he tells them to poke it.

Heartbreak looms.

Mw will be here for at least his 3yr contract, mw is a honourable guy who speaks about respect every day, I'm sure he will respect his contract at the very least.

Hopefully he is looking for players to mention.

This talk about arteta is ludicrous a quick check online confirms his basic wage is 80grand a week do you really think he is going to take a 70k pay cut a week to join us. Get real.

30 Nov 2015 17:13:38
Do you really think any club in the planet is going to pay arteta 80k a week?

30 Nov 2015 19:41:43
Ya arsenal are cee. Do u really think he will drop to what we can offer.

30 Nov 2015 18:05:35
Also hooly, do you really think we going to pay 10 grand a week just now?

30 Nov 2015 22:12:12
I certainly hope not Davie!

01 Dec 2015 17:02:35
I don't think he will sign but there is no team on the planet that will give arteta 80k a week know matter who he goes to he will have to take a big pay cut unless it's dubai or something.

Stevie May has suffered an ACL injury and will be out for months. Pretty much puts that rumour to bed.

How many permanent players have we got just now that are good enough for the top three of the Premier League?

Foderingham.

Tavernier, Keirnan, ? , Wallace.

?, ? , Holt.

?, ? , Waghorn.

The questions marks are the doubts. We obviously need a centre back to play alongside Kerinan. Needing a holding midfielder so Halliday can move further forward. A creative midfielder is a must. A winger to and another centre forward.

I honestly don't watch enough first division English football to even guess who we could sign. Would imagine that is going to be our market, or maybe mid table championship players.

30 Nov 2015 10:38:48
is Mckay not good enough for the Premier league? he's been one of our better players this year.

30 Nov 2015 11:38:35
Top THREE of the Premier League!

Halliday, Wilson and McKay may be good enough. But there are DOUBTS around them as I said, as there is around every player I suppose. But there are more doubts around certain players than others.

I would say about half of our starting eleven just now are squad players and not good enough for the top three in the Premier League.

Two permanent signings in this window and four in the summer would do us well.

30 Nov 2015 11:39:19
Wilson, Halliday, Law, Shields, McKay and Miller are all good enough, we just need some others to help improve us.

30 Nov 2015 12:17:32
Let's wait and answer that next year once we are in the SPFL (fingers crossed) .

Personally speaking I think it is irrelevant if our players would get into the Hearts or Aberdeen team. The important thing is, are they good enough to beat Celtic as that is the benchmark at the moment.

30 Nov 2015 15:02:25
But that was the point Dave King has been making all along.

The players that are to be signed in January must be good enough for the following season to compete with Celtic.

Any fan would admit that there are only a few players in our starting eleven that could challenge in the top flight.

Think all of our eleven are good enough, but some should only be squad players at best next season.

30 Nov 2015 17:14:56
Law, shiels and Miller are not good enough. 3 players totally hopeless on the ball and don't know what to do against a team defending.

30 Nov 2015 17:32:25
Thats the thing, its all about opinions, we just happen to have different ones. I think I will go with Mr Warburtons, He will probably know better.

30 Nov 2015 21:10:33
It's all about expectations of fans as to whether certain players are good enough. Law Shiels and Miller are good enough if u want to make top 6 if u want to challenge Celtic then none of these players will do. That also goes for Clark, Wilson and McKay. King is right we need at least 5 great signings before we can think about challenging them.
