As much as i rate harry wilson very highly, he's NEVER going to be our player permanently! That's why we have to keep our loan deals to a minimum, in my opinion guys! We've got a fantastic young winger, who goes by the name of glenn middleton, who by all accounts, steven gerrard rates highly! Middleton is our player for the next 4 years, so i think he should be given his chance under the guidance of stevie G!

He’s not worth much more, I think we’ll get £3m + 10% well on, I’d prefer him to go to the English championship as he’s then get a better chance of a move to the premier league (although I don’t think he’s good enough for the premier league)

He’s still very raw as obviously a young lad learning his trade in a foreign country. Morelos is worth a lot more than £2M. Even now he’s a good player. Linked with the correct partner, he’ll b an excellent player for us.
There is always a fair bit of negativity towards Morelos, I know his attitude needs serious adjustments and his immediate craving to move on to supposed bigger and better things are his issues. I believe he is getting advised very very poorly. Hopefully the new management team can get the best out of him.

First time post fellow Bears so be kind. I Really hope Mr Gerrard will find the right balance between youth and experience. I hate seeing that lot 'doing it right' developing players and selling them on then re investing that money. Sadly we wasted a great chance to do this when we were kicked down the leagues, spending the majority of our money on has been's and random centre backs from Tunisia. We should be looking at having Greegzy and two outfield players max being late 20's or in their 30s. Every other position should be filled by a player under 25 and hopefully a few seasons developing with us and winning trophies we can sell them on down south and take advantage of the disgusting money being thrown about down south. I think we should be tapping into the youth systems in the EPL not to bring their players on loan but ones who aren't going to get a chance at these clubs, but buying them for a few million we could easily tripple our money in a few years whilst we are still getting a good young player who is hungry to prove a point. I see the manky mob buying players like Dembele, Ntcham and potentially Edouard and IF they can reach their potential they could be looking at around £50m for the three in a few years. Sadly that's going to be them investing that further and the cycle will continue. I would love us to follow this blueprint and hopefully with Mark Allen on board he can use his contacts at Man City and unearth a few gems for us. Along with this developing our own players from Auchenhowie I can see a bright and successful future for us.
Alfredo Morelos is a player I think we need to give some slack and help this young guy reach his potential. From what I understand the boy has not had a break from playing competitve matches for 2 years. I think this showed at the end of the season with a few howlers and his frustration increasing. One thing about him though is he didn't shy from this and still gave 100% whenever I seen him play. We need to remember this boys only 21 and with a summer break and a full pre season with us I think we will see a player like we did before Christmas.
Let me know what yous all think and any players you can think of who we can develop with the eye to selling on? I hate the idea of us being a selling on club but that's the reality of the footballing world we live in now. Better than being a feeder club for Liverpool if you ask me.

I will be honest |I have been out the country since Feb so thankfully didn't see much of our season fall apart. So I will take note of the feeling towards Morelos. When I first saw him though I thought we had found ourselves a gem.
So "queens11" you would like us to keep signing 'has been's' in the hope we somehow manage to beat them to a league title to stop 10 in a row? So after we manage to win that one title what do we do, as they will still have a good squad and bounce back while our 'has been's' are another year older and we then will have to go out and find some more.

Iam really excited about Stevie g taking over. I wasn't at first but now I understand great mangers have to start somewhere. If he's in the position to use our club as a stepping stone then we must be doing alright. I would happily sacrifice silverware this season for a team who all play for the jersey.

Talk Sport are saying that Rangers are interested in signing Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield Wednesday. If we can get him at a sensible price I think he'd be a good signing, especially if Morelos stays and plays up front with him. Don't know what wage he is on though. One thing standing out now is that you can see players being interested in coming to play for Steve Gerrard given how huge a name he is in the game, unlike Pedro and the Biscuitman - who?

Wish everyone would stop being obsessed wi the English prem for players. There are hundreds of really good players in the other smaller European leagues on half the wages. just look what Jelavic done in the short time he was here! I personally wouldn't mind us going Eastern European usually big athletic guys and not afraid. Pesic from red star looks good 24yr 6ft plus and scored loads as red star won the league. A bit more achievable than guys on 70 80 90k a week.

Aleksandar Pesic, Red Star player, trasnsfermarket 1.3 million, 25 goals in 35 games, certainly knows where the net is going by video of him. Could surely do a job for us. Mentioned on here about a couple of Serbian CB's, 24/ 25years old, internationalists, one was just under 2metres in height. We've had a few good eastern block player do well at our club, why not try and get a few more.

I just noticed that Brighton have had a 2million pound offer turned down for Paddy Mcnair of Sunderland. I just googled Mcnair and was shocked that he is still only 23. I think if we could get him in for 2.5m then it might be a decent bit of business. he's always been decent when I've seen him play.
