As far as Ibrox is concerned Sky are just meaning it needs a lot of maintenance, for example the screens haven't been serviced in two and a half years.

Why would celtic fans need urgent counselling if rangers get bought by whyte?how much is actually known about whytes financial clout and his trail of bad debts?5 million a year for players is hardly rubbing shoulders with europes elite, years back murray would have spent more than that on one player, so ask yourselves the question, why all the excitement when your club is miles behind murrays rangers of a decade ago on and off the pitch?why is whyte paying in installments?who is paying murrays tax liability bill for him, hes skint?season tickets up for renewal by any chance?

I know Whyte is hardly the richest man in the world but it's progress we've had no money and had to sell with almost no replacements. He is our Whyte knight as we would rather have
AT LEAST 5 million a year than nothing. With Rangers recent downfall meant we were heading to lower and lower standards as was Scottish football. It might not be much but it's progress with rangers and Celtic being able now to bring decent players to the spl it will improve in popularity and in popularity the spl will get more money, end up more competetive ( I think we need at least 16 alright teams to become a great league) and will attract better and better players. Ed i live in England but I'm Scottish and have supported rangers all my life and know there are the English who think they're funny saying the spl's as good as league 2 but they are few who are realistic and know we just need investment and that rangers an Celtic would finish about top 12 in EPl do you agree.

Monk {Ed001's Note - couldn't the same be said of any team? Any team could do well if there was investment made in the side. QPR are a good example of that, going nowhere for years then had money pumped in and are top of the CCC. You are right that Scotland needs more good teams, that is where the problem lies, two good teams is just not enough to make it watchable. Improve the standard of your opposition and the whole league benefits.}

Good luck for Celtic in Scottish cup, Stroke of genius from Walter to leave a place in the trophy cabinet for the spl trophy. Celtic need this trophy coz it'll be the last for a long time and they've gotta remember every little helps haha. Looks like we did the ol switcheroo on the sinking ship situation.

Eds.in your opinion. what percentage would you give it that the take over will happen. your thoughts are valued. {Ed001's Note - I would say it is almost certain to go through now, it has been haggling that has held it up I believe. The fact that leaks are beginning to occur suggests it is nearly done.}

To the man who is most def a celtic fan in denial and thinks the take over is all made up - the 1 million quid lloyds were wanting was a penalty for paying off a loan early (25 year loan, the interst would have been about 5 times the 1 million they wanted, hence the penalty)
now lets get the rebuilding rumours started here and now and see who's right next year!
i rekon (just my opinion, not rumour) we will sell mcgregor for about 6 million.
bougey, davis to sign new deals. papac to leave, diouf to go back to blackburn. weiss and bartley new loans for another season. i think we will sign 2 def, 3 mid (2 of witch will be wide players, rino a poss and maybe lovernkrands) and 2 strikers (1 poss healy because he will be cheap and do a job as 3rd of 4th striker.)
the tiger - wondering what the celtic fans will go on about now they won't have the "your skint" line?

The take over will be complete either by 5pm tommorow eveming or lunch time monday by the latest. i cannot understand celtic supporters coming on here and disputeing the inevitable. i think its a case of them being in denial and have troble coming to terms with the fact rangers are about to leave them streets behind. hoops would be aswell getting togeather on there own site to debate what there own board are going to do about it. remember celtic. your billionaires could not over thhrow a skint rangers. how you gona cope with a rangers with transfer funds

Its on the BBC website that Lloyds and Whyte are close to agreeing a deal regarding the reduction of the debt and that any tax liabilities will be left for David Murray to handle. Hopefully this clears the way for the takeover.
