Good news on our young development squad, but I don't see the point in signing more when supposedly we're putting out Middleton Hastie and possibly mccrorie, but signing 21 year old Liverpool youngsters to develop. eg oji and Kent again (hopefully) . i understand we're in it to win the league this year, but how must our home grown talent feel when they're shipped out and other teams youngsters brought in to play in their place. Personally I don't care who plays as long as we win, but consideration should be given to young guys who have been brought up supporting and now playing for the famous.

Rossco3001,steven gerrard has already stated that jake hastie won't be going anywhere out on loan,
as he sees him very much part of his first team plans. I honestly can see hastie playing a really good number of games for us this season and daniel candeias not as many as previous seasons.

Considering Liverpool are going to be wanting around �1.5 million for a seasons loan of Kent, we should drop our interest. Yes he is a good player but money can be better spent. Especially when we are overloaded with wingers.

No they loan him to us we pay his wages and he improves as a player everyone�s a winner or am I missing something? When did we start paying for loans? Kent�s not all that anyway let him go back to the championship and if he fails again we�ll pick him up for peanuts.

Here's a question that was put to me there the now that i'll share on here with all my fellow bears. I was asked out of all the rangers manager's in our history, right up to our present day manager steven gerrard,
who do i think would be the manager i'd want in charge the most just now, to end celtic's dominance to stop 9 in a row, never mind 10 in a row? I personally had no hesitation in saying it would be sir walter smith for me.
The silver fox smith would find a way and a system. He always could. Should be good to read all our different opinions, on who my fellow bears would choose and why.

I love our manager steven gerrard and really do think he'll become a terrific manager. But what i'll say is, if stevie G is half as successful as sir walter smith, then he'll have done a tremendous job, as rangers manager. Simple as that for me.

I read an article by richard keys this morning,
regarding the newcastle utd takeover and his in the know knowledge. He states he's spoken to the mystery bidder who he doesn't name,
that are vying for control with sheik, for control of newcastle from that waster ashley.
Where our club come into this is that richard keys states that he's been told by this mystery bidder that neither of the 2 bidders wanted rafa benitez to remain as newcastle utd manager and thus why ashley didn't do anything to keep hold of him. According to keys, the mystery bidder wants our manager steven gerrard, if he is successful in his buying of newcastle from ashley. He stated that gerrard would st. james' park alight and would give him massive sums to spend, if he took the job of becoming the new newcastle utd manager. Thoughts on this fellow bears?
Hope keys is talking through a hole in his you know what here guys. Would be an interesting subject here bears and would be interested to hear what the ED thinks of this also.

In my opinion I don�t think Gerrard would ever manage a team that would need to go to Anfield. I know there�s a chance once we get to champions league stage that could happen but to take a premier league team to Anfield I think it�s a no go.

Think it�s a cert Stevie will go to Liverpool . and he is cutting His teeth with us. Some say that Liverpool are indeed helping him in more ways than one at ibrox . so I think we are fine and I would be amazed.

Cannot see Gerrard leaving us any time soon, he has one team to beat up here and he�s in pole position for the Liverpool job, the whole scenario is set up for him to replace Klopp whenever the time comes. If Klopp wins the league therein the next couple of seasons he may call it quits, he may not, and if Gerrard can deliver success he�ll be in the prime position to take over at Liverpool. If he goes anywhere else and isn�t successful he�ll be questioned by the English media as to his ability to do the job as he will if he isn�t successful here.

Here is an interesting one Balotelli is out of contract at the end of June could Gerrard control him? When he is on form he is on fire the rumour is Parma are after him he is after 2M in wages this would be a marquee signing we have only spent 1M so far and Gerrard wants another two in Balotelli would show major intent 2M is a lot but affordable that takes our transfer business upto 9M if you count our other new players wages and sign on fees.

jim09 I wouldn't touch balotelli with a barge pole. If you think morelos has issues, they are nothing compared with balotelli. He would just stoke up trouble in the dressing room and on the pitch. We should steer well clear of him.
