I'd go as far as to say Tab is both a better defender, an infinitely better attacker and better on the ball.

A lot of you seem to Arthur. Never by with giving him pelters, maybe tonight will be a wee wake up call to those who always want tav sold and sayou Flanagan should play rb. Apart from a couple of decent games early on he's been woeful every time he's played. Slow as a week in the jail, can't pass and feart to pass the halfway line doesn't make for a good full back.

Jeezo, we get a comfortable win away in Cowdenbeath on a cauld, cauld night to progress in the cup with less than half a team and still the moaners moan. Absolutely pathetic. Listen, some things were proved beyond doubt tonight, like comparing Flanagan and Tavernier is like comparing a Rolls Royce with an auld bike. Like McAuley is done. Like Fod isn't hard done by at at all. Like Lafferty doesn't deserve a run in the team. Like Defoe and Davis will be real assets when fit, which will take more than one and a bit games. Chill out, it's the weather for it.

I hope rangers go out and sign our former youth centre half, Craig halkett, on a pre contract or at the end of the season! He's still very young and in my eyes, will only get better and better, let that be with us! Worrall will be off back to nottingham forest and gareth mcauley will be used sparingly, as back up. If we did sign him, IMO we would have 3 really good centre halfs in, connor goldson, nikola katic and craig halkett! There's a good few english championship clubs very interested in signing halkett for nothing, in the summer!

Arthur, I think if you read posts regularly on here, there's some who blame tav for nearly every goal conceded and are stuck on repeat regarding his previous defensive frailties.

Don’t really understand the negativity on here every day it’s draining. We played a makeshift side with two new additions who got MUCH needed game time. On a shocking surface horrid conditions on a Wednesday night in Cowdenbeath and we playa new formation (these things take time to work)! 3-0 up and it’s game over! We didn’t need to waste energy in the second half! Get a grip of yourselves if we had played out first 11 and won 8-0 and drew out next league game there would be people moaning that we should have rested bodies at Cowdenbeath! You can’t win with some of you it’s a joke! (Frustrated blue you hit the nail on the head mate)

On Greg Docherty. let's put things into perspective. He came from Hamilton accies scoring 5 in 95 games. He didn't quite reach the expected levels of performance at Rangers with no goals and some poor performances. SG didn't fancy him and sent him out to improve. So he's at Shrewsbury town playing in front of 10,000 if full and scoring 5 in 25. Their team is valued at 3.73m and in the relegation zone. League 1 is valued 75 million less than the SPL even with twice the amount of clubs. So let's not be premature and trust our management. If he's ready and good enough he will be back in Blue however if more development is needed, I agree with some, another loan at a higher level would be the pragmatic choice. At his age he needs to play ever game to fulfil his potential. that's not going to happen for him at Rangers in the short term. he's our Ryan Kent.

The boy can only play against the teams and players that are put up against him. If he’s getting motm more often that not and regular game time I think you’d be surprised how much he’ll improve again when he plays with a better calibre or rangers team. We haven’t exactly heard of any of the other loanees lighting it up down there.

Its not me that has to be suprised Blue. My opinion matters not a jot. He has to prove his worth to SG. I was trying to put his perceived improvement into perspective. Playing well for a poor Shrewsbury town is by no means a yard stick for success at Rangers. If that was the case Warburton would still be here with his mediocre players. He will come back in the summer for another pre season assessment and that's when we will know where his future lies for 2019/ 2020.

TJBB, they lower leagues in england are very tough to play in and docherty has excelled in that league! I've never doubted that greg docherty will go on to have a very good rangers career! He's serving his apprenticeship if you like. Much better league for docherty to go out on loan to, compared to going on loan to a scottish team!

It’s looking likely that Kamara and Polster will join before the window shuts. I was hoping for another one to be fair and will be disappointed if there isn’t a rabbit pulled out the hat tomorrow. I honestly believe the league is touch and go this season and we could take it to the wire and if we come up just short then we may regret not getting another body in. We are in need of a goal scoring midfielder who can shoot from outside the box this would also solve the diamond formation problem IMO. Here’s hoping 🤞🏽.

Hiof harted, totally agree with you. Docherty has been great for Shrewsbury, even their manager keeps complimenting him. As for Kamara, Gerrard quoted as saying he doesn't expect him to be at Rangers in this transfer window. PS. Does anyone know if the game is still on tonight as i'm going and haven't heard otherwise. Mind you thet called it off late last time.

While I really like Docherty I'm not sure he is quite the goal scoring midfielder, before this season his highest league goal return was 3 in the past 3 full seasons. I am really happy he is doing well but he was sent out on loan for a reason and for me this reason still exists, he wouldn't get a game if he was here. He is better staying where he is, continue to develop and come back the player we all hope he can be ready to compete with the other international midfielders in our squad.

Docherty is still young and has still got to develop, leave him out on loan for now as this will have a greater benefit long term to him and us. He will comeback in the summer with more experience and confidence, he'll be raring to go. We will get much better player than the one that went out on loan. Giving time and proper development I think docherty will be the goal scoring creative mid we want. 👍.

i really like docherty he is a good player but agree he should be left out loan to get game time and develop his game.
But when he comes back next season he has got to be one of the first picks in midfield.
he is the goal scoring midfielder we lack the lad has shots at goal from outside the box something the current players do not do much plus he is direct when running with ball and has plenty of energy.
For me this lad has all the attributes to become a very good player for us.

Looks like the American Matt Polster is about to sign for Rangers and Rossiter is on his way out on loan. It is a shame about Rossiter but the lad clearly has major injury problems. Good luck to him and I hope he can come back.

I believe if Rossiter can go away and get 15 consecutive games under his belt and perform we will get back the player who we believed he was. At least I hope so as he is an excellent prospect based upon his young career.

I personally thought rossiter was brilliant . better than Coulibaly and would drive forward all the time . can’t understand why he wasn’t given a chance, but hopefully he is not finished with us yet.
