Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

30 Dec 2018 23:30:24
Probably premature but do you think the scottish refs over the past month have improved. They seem to be letting the game flow and not stopping it for every possible foul. Seems the new mantra is if in doubt let it go and play on, the message to the players is unless you have poleaxed someone or committed serious foul play just get on with it. The ref yesterday and the Hibs game ensured good old fashion competitive football.

30 Dec 2018 20:13:05
Watching highlights can't see Fredo getting away with these incidents retrospective red coming I think🤬🤬🤬🤬.

30 Dec 2018 21:30:30
And one for candaeias for kick at Brown.

30 Dec 2018 17:54:14
Anyone watching Sportscene just to see the look on Michael stewart's face?

30 Dec 2018 18:22:35
Spent more time criticizing Alfredo than properly analyzing the match . His response when asked if rangers were title challengers was 😂.

30 Dec 2018 18:29:26
Absolutely priceless. He was as sick as a dog.

30 Dec 2018 18:45:18
Cant watch sportsscene MS voice is like an ant sliding down razor blade using jewels as brakes.

30 Dec 2018 19:42:15
Didn’t even show the Halliday tackle on Ntcham. Pathetic highlights.

Spent more time talking about retrospective action on Fredo but I’m led to believe this cannot happen as the ref clearly saw both incidents and decided not to do anything. Anyone help me with that one?

30 Dec 2018 20:22:21
Hope that's right bud if not he's in bother I think 🙏🙏🙏.

30 Dec 2018 21:40:52
I think if no action taken (yellow or red) they can do a retrospective as ref would be told to say he didn't see it properly.
I think they will issue a red.

30 Dec 2018 23:34:09
Yep, just looking out my Rubix cube to see what Celtics formation will be next game, wait, Just found connect 4, might post it to Brendan.

30 Dec 2018 23:23:08
If they do then we can’t really argue. The one on ralston he could have easily got out of the lads way. Love wee Fredo but he’s his own worst enemy at times.

31 Dec 2018 16:22:12
Didn't hear anybody on any channels speak of the handball by C McGregor when Candieas shot hit Gordon either?

02 Jan 2018 14:13:18
I'm with you on that James2018, the boys a poison chalice . Hope we get an offer for big bucks that could go towards us getting a cool headed PROFESSIONAL striker.

30 Dec 2018 16:19:16
If Davis comes back, who gets dropped?

30 Dec 2018 16:58:42
We have very rarely had the same 11 each week due to injuries and suspensions. So I'm sure davis would get game time. We are not that lucky to have the same team every week. Davis is better all round than arfield jack and mcrorie if truth be told but he's getting on in football years.

30 Dec 2018 17:04:39
Maybe rossiter would go out on loan to get game time, that was probably our best midfield performance since Maribor at home so the jersey is theirs to lose and although the opposition was poor yesterday we need to keep up that level.

30 Dec 2018 17:44:14
For me it would be mccrorie. Jack and arfield mainstays in side when fit. mccrorie has been playing well but imo should only have 1 defensive mid out of the 3.

30 Dec 2018 17:45:46
Wee_bear the reason they were poor is because we did not let them play and when they put the ball out of play was because they expected someone on their back and had to get rid of the ball quickly.

Another point is because of this victory on Saturday the press is full of it today and there is no escape for them as the Monday press will be full of the game again = 3 days of misery.

31 Dec 2018 10:53:15
I was just fishing Bluetoon, did get any bites unfortunately.

30 Dec 2018 15:28:33
Just read that yesterday s result has came at a cost for arfield he's been ruled out for upto 3 weeks doctor have confirmed the resulting injury has come as a result of keeping scott brown in his pocket for 90 mins.

30 Dec 2018 17:45:06
Just aswel we don't have a game for 3 weeks then.

30 Dec 2018 18:54:24
Sure it was a joke paul, clearly went right over your heed tho 😉.

30 Dec 2018 20:01:54
Thats what i get for textin and driving haha. also am so bald that nothing would stick in my head. Everything goes right over it :)

30 Dec 2018 14:59:55
I had to laugh at Arfield giving Brown a bit of his own back by spreading his arms, Brown wasn’t pleased at all, but if you give it you have to take it? 🇮🇱.

30 Dec 2018 18:48:51
Stuff like that is banter that creates an atmosphere to enhance game. Harmless fun. Its ones from both sides that sing vile sectarian songs that ruins the day by inciting hatred and violence.

30 Dec 2018 19:26:48
Yeah are having to cut a minute silence short because vermin.

30 Dec 2018 19:39:36
What was the minute silence for? Knew they were doing one just don't know why. Yes i agree there is no need for that its disrespectful.

30 Dec 2018 20:26:45
Philtim are you serious! why was there a minute silence? have i missed a post somewhere as part of a joke I despair at times the mentality of a group of fans who think 66-0 sprayed on a wall is funny and acceptable.

30 Dec 2018 20:41:19
Philttim
The minute silence was for the victims of the Ibrox disaster I’m sure,

30 Dec 2018 14:34:13
Couple of point I’d like to share.
So I was out earlier with my brother in law, we went for lunch and a beer and discussed yesterday’s game. He’s a Celtic STH and made a decent point in saying that at the end of the season Celtic need to clear the decks and build a new team which might not guarantee success.

I’d never actually thought about this and although I don’t watch Celtic enough to have an honest assessment he said there is a feeling amongst Celtic fans that the current team has went as far as it can, he must have mentioned 8 first 11 players that are finished or need to move on.

The second point is, if the above is true and Celtic do indeed move players on then that puts us 1 season ahead in terms of squad togetherness.
Do you guys think is plausible or an over reaction from them because of yesterday’s result?

30 Dec 2018 14:52:21
No mate we do need overhaul. Lost key players and had various position issues all season. Club is to blame mainly lawwell for cutting corners as its evident we need depth.

Credit where due yous were better team yesterday no excuses.

30 Dec 2018 14:52:48
87shenderson, think an overreaction although some truth in what you say. Of yesterday’s team don’t believe Lustig and Boyata will be their next season and clearly Broonie is limited as an option. I actually think they miss Rogic massively and his non availability yesterday did us a favour. Like us they also have a large number of squad players that are not good enough, on a very good wage, and in need of offload.

30 Dec 2018 15:20:44
Nice point Shenderson. I personally described them as settled on here other day in fear of Ibrox game but after yesterday we made them look OT Hill. There was hardly Tic player looked up to mark. This equates to old, tired, unfit bunch badly needing revamped. Broonie for one was bombs care and he is supposedly best of bunch. Let's wait and see.

30 Dec 2018 15:57:13
Can’t remember exactly who he said would be moved on but he mentioned most of the team that’s wons the trophies over the last few years.

30 Dec 2018 16:02:57
I I text him earlier and asked about the players again.

He says Gordon, Brown, Hayes, Boyata, Lustig, Sinclair, De Vries, Gamboa, Izzy, Mulumbu and Ntcham are all unlikely to be there next year and he’s unsure if Griffiths will ever return!

Again this is only his opinion, but he knows more about Celtic than me so if true that quite a firesale!

30 Dec 2018 16:25:40
Thought this was a Rangers forum?

30 Dec 2018 18:47:57
Brill result yesterday but has made me wonder why we have not performed like this week in and week out. If we had played like this, we could have at least been 5 points in front.

30 Dec 2018 19:05:34
Just thought it was interesting Doiger. Maybe things not as Rosie over there as what’s made out.

30 Dec 2018 19:25:30
Delbhoy doesn't matter what side of fence you are on when it comes to old firms. One team could be flying high and the other team more up for result on day. Both sides will throw everything they can at result which makes it great to watch (wasnt for me yesterday though lol)

Honestly mate teams in SPFL that drop points away they should of won most likely do so at stadiums where they use plastic pitches. Its an unfair advantage.

30 Dec 2018 14:31:29
How frustrating is it the amount of silly points dropped, late goals conceded against sheep away Motherwell away hibs at home then there was the defeat to the sheep at home the late hivs equaliser at ibrox and the fact we couldn't score in over an hour despite a man advantage against Dundee. If we had been more ruthless in front of goal it would be that mob across the city wondering if they could make it a title race and not us. Anyways fantastic result and performance yesterday onwards and upwards . Happy New year 2 all my fellow bears.

30 Dec 2018 15:11:29
Too true was thinking the same
A few silly draws and we have
only lost 3 so we have improved
and feel we will get better when
Dorrans and Murphy return and
hopefully a couple of signings
in January great result yesterday
Onwards and upwards
It’s great having a smile on face
After playing them long time coming
More of the same for 2019.

30 Dec 2018 16:17:18
88

Your assessment is spot on. Previous Rangers title winning teams always won games we should have lost. The current team draws games we should have won. Yesterday’s result gives us inspiration to kick on with confidence. We still need at least 3 quality first team players to kick us on to the next level and become a title winning team.

30 Dec 2018 17:12:08
Mate I saw a list of points dropped earlier and it’s frustrating reading, the last old firm we deserved nothing, same with Livvy away but the draws and Aberdeen at home have killed us this far we should be at least 8 pts better off just now, also it is no coincidence that Arfield has beef missing in most of the dropped points games, including Europe!

30 Dec 2018 18:13:22
I think Celtic have been doing just about enough because they have become complacent over the last few years.

If we had turned some draws into wins I’m sure they would have stepped up a gear or two so don't th8nk we would be running away with it.

That being said, I do think the league is there if we can improve consistency, bring in two new players and believe in ourselves.

Yesterday hopefully is the catalyst to that belief.

30 Dec 2018 18:54:09
DK18 problem with some teams in SPFL that drop points away to teams they perhaps should of won is these plastic pitches. Teams like livingston who have an advantage of being used to surface compared to celtic and the rangers who have synthetic grass. Its frustating and they should be outlawed.

30 Dec 2018 14:17:44
Massive result and performance yesterday myself like a lot of fans was getting frustrated at times in the last few weeks only because at times this season in glimpses we have shown we r a good team and I feel the league is there for us this season if only we can find consistency yesterday apart from more goals was perfect even broony getting megged for the goal was the icing on top of the cake, seen a lot of different options on motm anyone of them could have got it but mine was young Mccrorie can't remember him losing a tackle or given the ball away once and to tav and Andy Halliday absolutely buzzing for they 2 especially yesterday tav splits opinion but he would be one of the first names on my team sheet since he came to our club he gives everything never hides and is never injured he's took some sore ones of them since he's signed so he must have loved that yesterday with our midfield looking well balanced with jack McCrorie and Arfield it's only going to help him both attacking and defending and to Andy Halliday who is one of us can't even begin to imagine how him and his family must have felt last season in the semi getting subbed in first half then to hear them singing his name but they way he has come back from that and performed this season is a real credit to himself thought he was outstanding yesterday and showed he is a good player don't know yet how we never scored of any his corners sorry for the long post guys feeling a bit emotional the day lol happy new year to bluenose everywhere when it comes.

30 Dec 2018 13:54:00
If we get the correct signings in in the next few weeks then why shouldn't we win the league. The opportunity is now realistically there.

30 Dec 2018 13:30:51
happy new year fellow bears! great display yesterday. i was just wondering though if we have any friendlies in the next few weeks during the long break? also i haven't been on for a while is there any news on the 2 american lads who were training with us? where are we heading to for the break? spain?

30 Dec 2018 13:39:15
I’m sure it was reported we have offered them both contracts?

30 Dec 2018 14:17:49
thanks james. any news on friendlies and where we are heading to for they break?

30 Dec 2018 14:29:35
Briangersfan, don't tell me its the new year already. Totally missed all the celebrations! 🍸🍺🍻🥂🥃.

30 Dec 2018 14:47:11
and many more celebrations coming our way goalie!

30 Dec 2018 15:36:11
Correct gersfan. Weve shown how we can play and what further impressed me that they never took the foot of the gas. They gave their all right to the final whistle. Their commitment and energy was a joy to watch. Enjoy Hogmanny and Happy New Year when it comed gersfan.

30 Dec 2018 12:46:06
Buzzing mind the gap

Moving forward to the transfer window and beyond. I would love to see us get rid of Pena Herrera, I also think that we will ship Wallace and Docherty as I don't think they fit into Stevie G plans. Those 4 players are probity our highest paid players at the club so would free up good wages.

Players I would love us to sign are jones to replace Kent as I can't see liverpool selling him to us in the summer. Davis, shankland and the controversial one is Naismith. If we managed to hold onto Morelas imo naismith and morelas would score a barrel load. Forget what happened b4 it's about stopping that mob. So our squad would be

Goaly

Mcgreg/ For

Rightback

Tav/ Flann

Centre backs

Goldson/ Katic/ McCau/ Worrall

Left back

BB/ the america lad we have offered a contract 2 and Halliday as cover

Defensive mid

McCrorie/ Jack/ Halliday / coull/ also the American boy that we have offered a contact to.

Att/ Mid/ Central

Davis/ Artfield/ Dorrens

Wing Right

Middleton/ Jones

Wing Left

Kent/ Candy

Forwards

Morelas/ Naismith / Laff/ Shankland.

30 Dec 2018 13:41:42
Think Greg Stewart would be a good shout in jan. win.
Creative left footed playmaker chips in with goals, would`nt cost the earth and bluenose to boot.

30 Dec 2018 13:44:57
What gap?

30 Dec 2018 14:34:21
Can't see docherty being 1 of our highest earners tbh.

30 Dec 2018 14:34:43
Greg Docherty would be a good addition to the squad if we recall him from his loan spell.
It would be good if we can bring Davis on loan from Southampton.
We certainly need another striker as a back up to Morelos and Lafferty.
SG along with Allen have done an immense job with the players they have signed either permanently or on loan.

30 Dec 2018 14:35:13
Jamie murphy?

30 Dec 2018 14:42:07
perhaps the gap in class yesterday phil?

30 Dec 2018 16:48:58
Barisic?

30 Dec 2018 18:55:25
Briangersfan good comeback il give you that one lol.

30 Dec 2018 19:03:10
Greg doc dhould be left out on loan for rest of season. Playing every week and improving as a player, no point bringing him back to play an odd game here and there.

30 Dec 2018 23:00:50
The 5 year gap that is supposed to exist between our clubs.

30 Dec 2018 11:04:44
Where are all the Gerrard haters today?
I've been saying for weeks that we need to get behind this guy and say with him for the long haul. It will be a gradual process but yesterday was a big hurdle and how we jumped that hurdle with style.

If we can get a creative playmaker in and another goalscorer in, along with Dorrans and Murphy coming back I think we'll be in a real good place.

Yesterday was a great day for all us bluenoses and I for one felt like a kid on Christmas eve.

55 is on the horizon lads, let's get right behind the team and push them over the line for the last 5 months.

30 Dec 2018 11:40:12
I’ve never really seen any Gerrard haters on seen people whingeing listen Gerrard will be top manager but he’s learning so making mistakes along the way but as I say he will be top manager most of us are behind him. next games on 19 th scottishcup game away. Then 2 tough away games starting on 23rd Kilmarnock then Livingston so need hit the ground running we will probably see a few new players coming in and few going . a well earned rest now recharge battery’s for second half season.

30 Dec 2018 14:03:38
To fair i do not think there was a lot of hate for gerrard it was just the way the team was performing and the lack of him changing things.
Like its said above he will learn and has showing yesterday he can change tactics.
But he also said he wants the team to have that kind of performance every week and that Seems to be our problem consitency.
But hopefully with few players added in jan and a settled team the second half of season we will see the best of this team and gerrard.

30 Dec 2018 14:37:57
I think we all want Gerrard to stay, i personally haven't heard of anyone wanting rid of him. Gerrard is young and will make mistakes, he will learn by those mistakes because he's a winner and wants to succeed. I just hope that King will do his bit and come good with the funds to take us forward.

30 Dec 2018 14:50:02
where are all the gerrard haters? all back on their own site i would imagine!

30 Dec 2018 16:17:30
I often criticised Gerrard but never said I hated the guy. But yesterday he got everything spot on couldn’t fault players or management. Andy Halliday motm for me yesterday what a turn around in him.

30 Dec 2018 17:19:43
Darenk23,if you've read any my posts this month of december, you will see that i've also stated as much as regards to our good young manager steven gerrard! I said it long before our victory over celtic yesterday mate! He most definitely will take us back to challenge them strongly and remember he's only just started, with only 1 transfer window to his name!

30 Dec 2018 18:23:37
Who are all these mythical gerrard haters? Who has actually said that they want gerrard out? I have read neither on here. Yes some have questioned his subs and line ups at times, and rightly so. Great win yesterday, the manner of the win will do wonders for our mentality, we had to win. But one win does not mean gerrard or us are world beaters we have to perform like we did yesterday consistently then we will have a right good chance at the title. Mcrorie jack arfield have to be the midfield, bossed it. 👍.

30 Dec 2018 19:10:42
Derek, I've never evenue saw a post from you till this one. I'm with coldo, I've not saw all the Gerrard haters some are going on about. I've saw people getting a bit pissef off but only becsuse we've been chucking points away left right n centre. We will have our bumps along the road but I've said on here before we need to give him at least 2 full seasons, 4 transfer windows to put his own plan plans and players in place.

30 Dec 2018 19:31:03
Think he deserves at least till end of next season for yous. Yous were in a massive hole last year and he is rebuilding your club.

30 Dec 2018 10:43:27
Now that the dust has settled a little. would just like to say I would have been more reasured if rossiter had came in instead of Coulibaly. I Kn Jordon wasn’t in squad but Coulibaly looked totally lost . about four players plus coaching staff had to instruct him to watch their left . eventually Arfield took the strain and Coulibaly went walk about . I sincerely think Jordon rossiter deserves his chance now . Came on against hibs and looked lively and sharp . unless Stevie is keeping him in cotton wool he would have been a plus as a sub yesterday.

30 Dec 2018 13:38:14
Coulibaly looked really good when he arrived but hasn’t showed it lately
Someone on here mentioned that his dad had passed away so mentally might have problems with focus etc
I really like Rossiter but not sure how long the boy is going to get
I don’t like coulibaly playing in an advanced position and hopefully we will sign Davis to play there with Dorrens also cling back

I think if Rossiter doesn’t push on in the next year he will be offloaded - let’s hope he gets a good run without injury to prove what he can do.

30 Dec 2018 14:19:11
Rossiter is out of contract this summer and it won’t be renewed. Wish him well. He’s no future at Rangers IMO.

30 Dec 2018 16:08:58
LDM rossiter not out of contract till First June 2020.

30 Dec 2018 10:06:48
Morning everyone I woke up with a smile on my dile today feeling good then I saw the next fixtures after the break, were away to Killie and Livie, two very tough games and that lot have 3 home games on the trot how'd that happen? . Even when we beat them they still bug you .

30 Dec 2018 10:36:18
Have a look at February though mate
They have harder fixtures including Valencia and we have what you would imagine to be easier games.

So glad we won yesterday to keep us involved.

30 Dec 2018 09:29:51
Delighted with the result yesterday let's enjoy it although the most important thing is that we build on both the result and performance hopefully have a favorable January transfer window and onwards and up.

30 Dec 2018 09:04:24
Surely sky must do something about Andy Walker. I'm full of rage with his commentary. Tom Miller is less biased than AW.

30 Dec 2018 09:17:13
Got to agree Tommy just watched game on TV and Andy Walker was a disgrace! 🇬🇧.

30 Dec 2018 10:06:07
The 2 of them are are at it every old firm game but it was good to feel their pain yesterday all they did during the whole game was to highlight Alfie’s tackles hoping the compliance officer (ex Celtic lawyer no laughing at the back) will cite him they know this wee guy can fire us to the title and it’s all systems go to get him booked and sent off that’s their game we absolutely destroyed them yesterday and showed how crap they are a couple of new signings and we can push on 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

30 Dec 2018 10:14:53
AW is a disgrace, Iv never heard so much one sided commentary in all my life. Even when you go into the sky studio. KC ex Celtic player JM Celtic supporter and as for wee Neil Celtic fan ex Gers player.

30 Dec 2018 10:23:30
Yep he’s absolutely shocking, but sky won’t get rid of him unfortunately. He’s even worst than Sutton. I always think the ex rangers players on tv ie McCann Boyd and Jevin Thomson are always well balanced on tv.

30 Dec 2018 10:24:56
You are right Tommy. Utterly disgraceful. Almost as bad as the two muppets on Sportscene and muttonhead. I think all the Scottish media are against us. They must be jealous of our glorious history.

30 Dec 2018 10:36:42
Personally I cannot wait for sportsecne tonight. Might even watch it at 6 then 11 just to see that pair of nitwits be as sick as dogs.

30 Dec 2018 12:21:08
Doiger, enough with all Scottish media against us. Leave this paranoia rubbish to them. I agree comments on Sky and Sportscene OTT but who cares? We gubbed them yesterday and best answer is continual winning. This will only lead to more laughable comment by them. Laughing at them by press media best answer we have.

30 Dec 2018 09:03:09
The man of the match could of gone to all our outfield players but I think mcrorrie was first class and easily his best game for us. I was worried about our midfield before the game but now i am not sure we need any midfielders if Jack airfield and mcrorrie can play like. And a special mention to s brown. you have been served, his reighn of terror is over. Last thing r Christie is the worst diver in the league and will cheat refs all the time.

30 Dec 2018 10:26:20
When McCrories passing improves which it undoubtedly will he will be some player. Brilliant wee player.

30 Dec 2018 12:30:41
Every player was immense but Macrorie was MOM for me.

30 Dec 2018 13:49:37
He was brilliant! Heard Stevie call him an animal. So good and covered every blade of grass.

30 Dec 2018 14:01:34
McCrorie had great game and looks more confident and a foot taller than month ago. Needs to practice shooting now and add goals to his game. Couple of chances yesterday and against Hibs when he should have had shots on target.

30 Dec 2018 14:42:04
Damo666.
McCrorie, Arfield and Jack bossed the midfield and everyone of our players was immense but hopefully we sign Davis on loan from Southampton.

30 Dec 2018 16:11:26
Gerrard calling Mccrorie an animal, what a compliment. That's exactly what our midfield has been missing. To think ejaria was keeping this lad out of the team and squad.

30 Dec 2018 02:50:13
Tremendous result yesterday, all players stood up to a man but their off side equaliser gave me the fear, that was too fine a margin for a game that should have been well over by that point, over to the board now to get Stevie G what he needs to finish these teams off!

30 Dec 2018 00:56:26
Our first eleven bar AH at left back however at LB Andy was magnificent, a true blue who stands for everything that our club was built on. There is no coincidence that a BORN Rangers midfield won that game. The only downside was Alf not getting his goal. Just thinking after the game Goldson, Worall and Kent will feel they've been reborn, welcome to the family gents. Now the real work starts. Still greeting. All the very best to my fellow bears (and visiting opponents) and families for 2019. STBx.

30 Dec 2018 07:38:26
We've mentioned how good all our players were against celtic yesterday. The 3 midfielders, ryan kent and andy halliday, especially so. But IMO a special mention has to go to the best centre half we have at ibrox, connor goldson! This guy was crippled, done in against hibs on boxing day! But he showed he's most definitely up for the fight and put his body and soul on the line for the club/ jersey. He had to be given pain killing injections, prior to the celtic game, to allow him to take part. He was immense against them, an absolute rock, as was the much maligned, joe worrall! Absolutely buzzing. That performance is in us and our fabulous young manager, steven gerrard, has only just started rebuilding the famous! let's GO!

30 Dec 2018 09:04:02
spot on coop - the big man was absl immense even when edouard came on he won absl everything big worrall beside him too best game in blue jersey

any prso or jelavic type out there we can bring in to help fredo?!

30 Dec 2018 09:55:55
Aye fair play to big Goldson. Not easy playing games like this when not fit. Also special mention for Joe Worrall. Never put a foot wrong all game. Yes guys, he really is a good player!

30 Dec 2018 10:24:13
Couldn’t agree more about Worrall. He was outstanding.
