i'm a Rangers fan through and through, but I can't see past a Motherwell v QOS play off final.
I doubt if we will get 2nd spot so I also doubt if we would get past QOS over 2 legs.and Hibs won't have the bottle.
I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it

Wee bill if your a Rangers fan through and through how could you boo your captain then slate your manager for sticking up for him? I don't get it.

Weebill

I would far rather we lost 3-0 against the run of play during the season as happened recently than in the playoffs, we walked into that game cock of the walk having beaten Hibs and Hearts we got a lesson in counter attacking football but we did leave ourselves wide open bearing in mind the McCulloch problem in defence. The playoffs are a TOTALLY different affair to league matches 2 legs changes the way you set the team out in the away leg McCall will I feel almost definately set the team out with the same set up as away to Hibs when Moshni covering for McCulloch and with wing backs supporting the attack

This 5 man defence and the fact we will not be attacking QoS all out like in the league game will I am totally confident give us at least a draw or possibly a 1 goal victory with Millers experience and Clark against his old team giving us the edge. After that the home game will see a 50000 capacity Ibrox and a red hot atmosphere lift the team to a home victory by 2 or 3 goals.

All this is assuming Hibs don't bottle it against Falkirk and we don't beat Hearts.

After that the exact same applies to the Hibs match which I believe is the clincher for us to win promotion I think Hibs are a better team than Motherwell and if we deal with them the same way 5 at the back containing them at Easter Road then all out attack 50000 crowd beat them at Ibrox.

We are the best squad of players left in the league and we will win I believe

Keep the faith weebill we are going to win all three ties if we need to

Even if we did get a result away to QOS I'm not even confident we can get a result at home to them. At some point we are going to have to come out and attack and there likely to pick us off. It's a sad day when it's come to this and when we need to play certain players to cover for McCulloch. Not saying we can't go up however in order to go up we will have to play well in 6 games against 3 decent sides. We haven't managed to play well in 6 games in a row this season with the squad and I can't see us doing it now. Very sad times indeed but I and a few others saw this coming under Ally

Agree1 Disagree0

01 May 2015 12:51:12
Thats where your wrong because twice this season we had a good run of 7 wins in a row and then 8 wins in a row, try pay attention and stop being a part timer, also ally had us sitting at 2nd most of the season, look at us now. can't always blame ally

Agree1 Disagree2

01 May 2015 15:01:29
stewie, one again you moaners come on here spouting nonsense, twice this season we have gone 9 games without defeat on one of these runs we went 6 games without shipping a goal and yes you've guessed it ALLY WAS IN CHARGE. you couldn't make it up.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 May 2015 17:56:57
I can't understand people still defending mccoist he was a useless manager, didn't know anything about tactics are to improve players, name 1 player he improved during his reign and don't give me that nonsense about win percentages because for the past 3 years he was playing against joiners and postmen with the 2nd biggest budget in Scotland!

Agree3 Disagree0

01 May 2015 18:52:01
Hooly, is what I stated wrong? As for players getting better under Ally you may have a point but I could name at least 11 that got worse after he went on leave.

Agree0 Disagree1

01 May 2015 19:03:17
Good point lads about the unbeaten runs, but can you remember us playing well for even 3 games in a row?I can't to be honest, but it proves it can be done without playing well.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2015 19:29:00
My point here gkk is when Stewie posted inaccurate rubbish most folk on here support it but when faced with the facts of the matter I still get lambasted for sticking up for Ally or whatever. We are a worse team now than when Ally was picking the team, I'm sorry but stats don't lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2015 20:16:02
Jyf what stats are these you talk about? Are you taking into consideration the win percentage that includes playing against part timers, mccall is a far better coach than ally, if mccall doesn't get job he will walk into another one straight away, I'd be amazed if mccoist got another managers job

Agree1 Disagree0

01 May 2015 21:05:08
Hooly, FYI Mccoist record as manager against McCall played 5 won 4 drew 1 lost 0 scored 11 against 1 yes he looks far better.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2015 23:10:46
jyf u cannot defend the indefensible please leave percy thrower in the past

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2015 06:14:53
Jyf I've heard it all now mccoist was manager of rangers mccall manager of a small club like motherwell with a fraction of mccoists budget! I really do think your ally in disguise!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2015 07:20:11
As I said bigwull point out to me what I've said there that is wrong and tell me what i'm defending because I don't really think you know. For the record I think Ally should still be manager because WE ARE STILL PAYING HIM to be manager and I cannot see the improvement under Mccall and when I point out AND PROVE that we have got worse after Ally went on leave you won't have it. No one can tell me that after watching the QOTS , livingstone and falkirk to name but three games, we have got any better.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2015 09:05:30
We're still paying him that sums up mccoist! Were getting hand outs from share holders and he is still collecting his wages, you say there has been no improvement well we wouldn't of beat hibs are hearts all season with mccoist in charge, mccoist will never get a decent managers job in football!

Tom lang from birmingham has been on trial with rangers for some time. At 6 ft 1 and still do young I believe he is athletic and has a bit of stature about him. This is good as he is a right sided defender come def mid. Seems to be a rangers boy as well despite being born in england anf is friends with most of the youth.

Anybody else rate this guy?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed039's Note - Dont know much about him apart from he is very good friends with Hardie)

30 Apr 2015 15:45:53
Yea I seen that as well ed, haven't seen or heard anything about him. Would like to know more as he looks not to shabby.

Good to see the rangers footballing staff wasting no time and making moves. let's hope the fit and proper stuff gets sorted this week with funding details released before the end of the playoffs.

Feeling optemistic and I think it would be fair to expect a cup final next year. Haters gon hate but behind the scenes a lot of players are being looked at with the backing of the board

Agree1 Disagree2

30 Apr 2015 16:46:55
ED039 is this where they got the famous saying "Kiss me Hardie from?" lol

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I honestly dont know what that means Mr Malloy??)

30 Apr 2015 08:57:22
Who do you think should get player of the year for Rangers?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2015 09:42:19
Vuckic that's how bad we've been this season that a player who joined in January should be player of the year if not him then mccleod who was only there for half the season.Think it'll go to mcgregor since he's played the whole season though

Agree6 Disagree2

30 Apr 2015 10:06:24
Darren mcgregor would be my choice for rangers player of the year,he's had a very solid season

Agree4 Disagree10

30 Apr 2015 10:34:25
That's a doozy of a question!
Wallace has been ever present and Lewis Macloed left half way through? Law has scored well from midfield , but does not consistently influence games- whether that was down to tactics or inability? Other than those three I am stumped.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 10:42:29
I'm with McGregor. Always tries, never hides.ability a different issue, but he'd get my vote.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 10:43:35
Wallace has been absolutely rank, Nicky law has scored the most amount of goals so probably him even through he's been rank

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Apr 2015 13:19:19
lets go through the usual starting 11
Bell - 6
McGregor - 6
McCulloch - 5
Zaliukas - 6
Wallace - 7
Murdoch - 7
Law - 6/7
Vuckic - 7
Miller - 4
Clark - 6

There is only 10 names there and that's due to the fact we don't really have a left mid who plays often enough a few players are

Walsh - 6
Templeton - 4
Shiels - 6

Player of the year I'd give to Wallace, Young player(if we do this) should be Murdoch. The only "consistent" players we actually have.

Agree0 Disagree2

30 Apr 2015 14:36:24
I thought McGregor was ok until the Celtic game still annoys me to think how easily out jumped he was by Griffiths. He was shown up for the very average player he is then

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 14:37:30
As for player of the year no one deserves it

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Very true)

30 Apr 2015 15:44:09
5 for Jig. ?.maybe that's the number of votes he would get from the fans. Wallace has been poor,so mebbe 5for him.probably right Stewie. be a bit of a poison chalice to be voted best player in what has been IMO our worst season ever.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 15:58:57
Give it to Broxi Bear certainly the most entertaining thing on the pitch this season well home games anyway

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 16:45:55
Zero zilch know one

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Apr 2015 17:12:34
Player of the Year: Darren McGregor.

Biggest disappointment: Kris Boyd.

Least value for money: Jig.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - If anybody should get player of the year, and I still think nobody should then it should still be Lewis MacLeod ....... we have missed him big time since he left)

30 Apr 2015 17:59:38
it should be cancelled this year

Agree1 Disagree0

For me it has to be Lee "Play Me Or Else" McCulloch

He has been by far the most consistent player, his positional sense, that turn of pace and general brilliant organisational skills are what has made Rangers defence the thing to behold that it is. He epitomises everything you would expect of a true blue Rangers legend.

How anyone can be thinking of any other player this season defies belief, even his role model qualities are worth the award themselves you only need to look at Billy Moshni and the quality of his defending to realise the effect that the Jigster has. let's hope Foster and Smith can hurry back to fitness to form that Ally Pally Iron Curtain we are all so proud of.

I am also hoping that I personally can be nominated for the Sarcastic Barsteward of the Year Award.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed039's Note - Your in with a chance there with that one KT)

30 Apr 2015 18:45:19

It'll probably be in his contract everything else is, big wages, coaching the team Captaining the team Mr undroppable writen into his contract so why not Captain Calamity Player of the year!

A total waste of time and money, going through the motions with the awards dinner etc.Give the money its going to cost to charity.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 May 2015 13:08:22
Jig hasn't been as bad as EVERYONE makes him out to be, he gots done for pace but that's about it. most of our clean sheets came when he was playing.

Good to see hibs and Motherwell joining us and sticking it up the league over the playoff money. Good on them

Believable4 Unbelievable2

30 Apr 2015 17:08:12
I will go along with that sentiment after learning that Hibs let their season ticket holders in free last year albeit only for one game.

As for Dave King and Paul Murray wanting to reward fans who bought season tickets am I just imagining that King urged us to boycott buying them earlier in the season?
