Ed who do u think is likely to sign for rangers and who is likely to leave ? {Ed001's Note - I keep forgetting to choose an option about where to post this after typing my reply, so 3rd time lucky! I am currently working on putting together a list with any info that the editors hear about any player put in a database. That way you can all easily see what we have heard at a glance. It is so we don't have to spend all our time across the sites answering questions about the same players over and over again. It should allow us a bit more time to spend finding out info rather than repeating ourselves!}

To the bloke that says we will be keeping Andrew Little on a new contract till 2014?WHY when he has hardly kicked a ball in about 3 seasons for us?We have even played guys out of posistion in his area of the park. When he has been fit to play.If that does not tell you that he is not good enough, then nothing will. You have to be from Northen Ireland.Little would be lucky to find a championship club.He might find himself a lower down SPL team though.Lets say for talking sake St Mirren or Dunfermline when they come up.I do not think he will be kept on.I would e amazed if he was.I would also be annoyed at the lack of ambition shown to if he did.Nobody would even take him on loan. Not even a first division team. And I do not think he has been iout crocked all year.If he has been I stand corrected.

Since big davie wore a commemoratve shirt today celebrating the royal wedding, Im wearing a pair of y fronts with a big skid mark commemorating the career of davie weir. . . .happy retirement davie!

Whats new? Gary Hooper does not deserve his nomination. What has he done? Stokes has scored more than him. Izaguirre deserves the nomination as does Eremenko and Naismith, Kayal is more deserving than Hooper. He is essentially a small Boyd. Kenny Miller has scored more than Hooper in half a season, does that mean he deserves it?

I wasn't criticizing Murray. He did a great thing by buying most of the shares in the share issue and the current problems are not his fault, most of his money is in steel and construction stops during recession. I was actually wondering if, given that his businesses have now returned to profit, whether the situation at Rangers may improve. Unlikely but just a thought.

Govan FR, I've said on here before I can't understand Rangers fans turning on DM, he bankrolled the club for years in signing some of Europes top talent and financed your run to 9 in a row. As you rightly say, he had to underwrite a share issue because Rangers fans didn't take up the chance to put money into the club. The recession has hit his businesses hard and he basically just didn't have the money to put into the club as he has in the past, but to keep harping on about his "If Celtic put down a fiver. ." is futile, because at the time he actually did put down plenty of tenners. The man has been responsible for some of my saddest days in football, but credit where it is due for what he has done for Rangers over the years. Yes the debts are crippling just now, but one thing is for sure, DM has lost alot more money than he will walk away with after the takeover (whoever it is) is done and dusted. He changed the face of Scottish football and I don't think he deserves some of the abuse he gets over the clubs financial state.
Rant Over!

Dear mr atheist

You seriously need help, all we ever hear from u is about how corrupt Craig White is and this that and the next thing, I'm pretty sure most of the bears that read this site are well aware of the risks involved but your stories are complete fabrication, seriously you should take up a career in fiction novel writing. C'mon give us peace from your drivel that you post, for someone who dosent support the rangers you keep posting on this site, all I can think is you are a deranged and petty individual who has some kind of grudge against us. We will all find out what mr White is all about if/ when he takes over but until then give us peace

Ps great result for the teds the day c'mon the Dundee utd

The point was that SDM didn't put down the tenner. . because he didn't have it. HMRC certainly seem to think that was money that should have been going to pay tax. All the while you were loving SDM, he was dragging your club closer to the abyss. And now you're pinning all your hopes on Craig Whyte. .no questions asked. Mind you, I suppose he's all you've got. It's him or administration. And even then, it might be administration.

Sorry GovanFR. Last word. Honest.

Atheist.

Sorry I'm going to have to respond to this one. Murrays' extravagant spending years ago has not put us in the situation we are in now. Murray did a share issue, underwritten by himself a few years ago when we were in like £70 million debt. We are in this debt because of the recession and David Murrays' businesses seriously struggling. Rangers as a part of MIH had their profits used to help his other businesses hence the lack of significant debt reduction. Here's an idea that you have failed to consider, maybe just maybe Whyte is a credible buyer. The alternative is not administration that is just a point you and some sections of the media like to focus on. It seems your posts haven't moved on and as for your comments about checking Whyte out, I have full faith in my club to make the right decision as regard to a buyer.

Atheist were u a big x-files fan?? Are u trying to say no one in the media or rangers has checked whyte out??? Mate trust me there has been aplenty of questions asked. Do you think the rangers board would just say, aye ok, without checking whyte out?? I'm going to put something to u atheist rite, could the reason that no one has dug anything up on whyte is the simple fact that he is a genuine person with no secret motives????

A simple Google of Craig Whyte shows some very interesting stories over the years, even without going on "Celtic minded" sites:-

Daily Mail, February 17, 1999

AT THE age of 27, Craig Whyte was fabulously wealthy and had a lifestyle to match his millionaire income. But three years after he amassed a fortune by hiring out security guards, his business is the subject of a Government investigation and he has debts believed to be around £4million. As former employees pursue him through the courts to recover unpaid wages, Mr Whyte has left Scotland and set up home in Monte Carlo. The young tycoon was once heralded as the shining star of Scottish industry and listed in the top ten of British 'Rich Kids'. His personal wealth of £20million put him ahead of millionaire rock stars such as the Gallagher brothers of Oasis. The cash financed luxurious living, including penthouse in a Glasgow waterfront development, a sleek black Mercedes convertible, a powerboat berthed on Loch Lomond and an executive box at Rangers Football Club.

But Mr Whyte now owes some £3.5million to one creditor and is officially 'insolvent'. He is believed to have created a complicated network of companies extending far beyond Scotland and was responsible for transferring large quantities of money to interests in the tax haven of the Bahamas. Companies with which Mr Whyte was connected have folded, staff and suppliers are unpaid and massive VAT and income tax bills are outstanding. Liquidators have already passed a report to the Department of Trade and Industry and it is believed that the department of Customs and Excise has launched an investigation. But Mr Whyte remains holed up at a secret location in Monte Carlo and is stubbornly vowing to clear his name. His former security company, Vital UK, based in Dennistoun, Glasgow, collapsed with debts of around £750,000 in 1996. Disgruntled employees of another connected firm, Vital Holdings, are lodging an action at the High Court in London in an attempt to win back unpaid wages.

Whyte launched Vital Holdings when he was 23 and embarked on a process of acquisition, travelling the country buying up plant hire and security businesses to bring under his commercial umbrella. At the height of its success in the early Nineties, his security and plant hire company employed around 700 people, but by 1995 it had gone into voluntary liquidation. A former acquaintance said: 'When Vital was going belly-up, all of its assets were sold to a company called Pelcroft. 'Then they were immediately sold to another company which immediately sold them to another company, and on each occasion Craig Whyte organised the transfer. He was just putting things out of reach.' When Vital UK crashed, it owed £33,000 in VAT, £66, 500 to trade and in expenses, and £280,000 in income tax.

The flamboyant entrepreneur, who was once thought of as the next Richard Branson, had a rapid rise to prominence in the business world. The former Kelvinside Academy pupil began playing the money markets while still at school, buying his first shares at the age of 15 with the proceeds from various part-time jobs. By his mid-20s he had secured the lifestyle he had dreamed of, spending with great passion. It seemed he was destined for greatness, and development agencies, desperate to foster the entrepreneurial spirit, held him aloft as a glowing example. Perhaps they should first have examined his business track record more closely. After leaving school he signed up for a course in accountancy but dropped out and never went back to complete it. A company he founded at the age of 20 quickly hit the rocks and was sunk by large debts. 'You might say it was a valuable experience, ' he said philosophically at the time. "I would prefer that it hadn't happened but it has reduced the chances of it happening again.' Last night, a spokesman for the liquidators said: 'We have obviously tried to contact Mr Whyte on a number of occasions but we are informed by his lawyer that he is living abroad.' A spokesman at the Glasgow base of Vital Holdings, which continues to trade, said Mr Whyte was unavailable for comment.

That was wrote 12 years ago, since then he has left a trail of companies in administration/ liquidation, with further court actions regarding unpaid wages, tax evasion etc. It's not hard to look it up, even from a neutral perspective.

You lot have illustrated my point about the press exactly. The press print sh*te and we choose to believe the bits that suit us. Meanwhile, people like SDM, Whyte, Ellis, King etc etc carry on without any proper questions being asked

As for which team I support, I thought I'd made that clear long ago. My MO here was to point out that things may not be as you perceive them to be. Some of you seem to prefer to live in a fantasy world where all things Rangers are wonderful and its Celtic minded people who are out to get you. If I've had a go at anyone on here, its because you don't seem to want to even consider that things are not all rosy in the garden.

One final thought. Does anyone else see the irony of the Rangers captain's shirt carrying a message of congratulations to the Queen's grandson while Rangers Football Club are fighting Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs tooth and nail over unpaid tax?
