I see we are selling single match day tickets for Europa league games with many still available. I know this splits opinion but they are overpriced. I only got mine because I'm taking my son as I took him to all the qualifying games and didn't want to let him down. feel club has taken advantage of our loyal support.

02 Oct 2018 21:41:34
Have to agree. £42 is ripping it!

03 Oct 2018 13:53:19
Absolute honking prices. Even for the 3 package it was bad.

03 Oct 2018 13:58:42
I don't think they are taking advantage of the support, the team has been heavily invested in for two seasons now and during times when we were unable to make money from merchandise.

People like, Charles Green and Mike Ashley took advantage of our loyal support.

I personally was more than happy to pay for all 3 games, I've waited nearly a decade for tomorrow night!

Also, there was less than 1k tickets left as of last night, it will be sold out.

03 Oct 2018 14:00:47
£35 for season ticket holders, if people don't like the price don't go.

03 Oct 2018 16:58:05
nice attitude you have jboy.

03 Oct 2018 22:34:09
Bearmode, does the club get much cash from 32 Red? .

03 Oct 2018 22:35:10
It is a bit steep I agree but regardless of price it would have sold out, so it's money that goes straight to club. If we qualify next year again I'd like to see more sensible price set though. £20 tickets at arsenal etc we are probably one of the most expensive in competition it's a lot on top of season tickets etc.

03 Oct 2018 22:39:05
True blue not sure if u r being sarcastic, but mate that's my view, we pay £48 quid for certain away games.

04 Oct 2018 09:39:29
jboy, not being sarcastic just stating my opinion on your comment if you don't like it don't go.

02 Oct 2018 20:22:27
Right lads, enough of the negativity!
We all know Sundays result was unacceptable but we move on and go again. A good result and performance on Thursday will set us up nicely for the Hearts game.
In Gerrard We Trust! Let’s Go! #55.

03 Oct 2018 12:27:02
Exactly UJ.

The pressure is on for Sunday but if we can manage a win things look very different.

I actually think Sunday has come at a good time, gives the players a chance to right the wrong from Sunday. I'm sure Gerrard will see this as an opportunity to gain on the leaders rather than a negative.

02 Oct 2018 19:31:26
I see the Aberdeen chairman doesn't like the comments Kris Boyd made about the Aberdeen fans that's laughable after the abuse we have had to take from them and whoever else over the last few years well done kris about time some of our ex players give a bit back for a change and have the balls to say it 👏.

02 Oct 2018 21:46:12
Tbh I thought Boyd was actually quite kind to them when describing them I could think of much better words to describe them.

02 Oct 2018 22:00:10
I make no apologies as a rangers supporter following rangers for over 40 years now, that i despise aberdeen football club and their supporters!

02 Oct 2018 23:55:45
Couldn't agree more guys.

03 Oct 2018 13:52:34
So was the rangers fan that threw the coin on Sunday. All teams have supporters that would never dream of doing the stuff they do if they were on their own.

03 Oct 2018 17:00:05
your point being.

02 Oct 2018 15:04:38
Just a thought for anyone traveling to the semifinals from Ulster the Wise men that look after the A77 have decided to shut the road gain that weekend (or that's their plan I think part of phase 2 repairs) might be worth kicking up a storm.

02 Oct 2018 17:48:55
games might be changed anyway.

02 Oct 2018 12:50:18
Could be controversial but does anybody else feel like we looked stronger at the back when Flanagan was playing?

I know he is generally poor going forward compared to Barisic but the guy is a hard tackler and doesn't give up easily.

Not sure about Thursday night but I think Flanagan would be suited to Hearts style of play. Hard one though when you have somebody that can deliver a ball like Barisic.

Like i said, Barisic is easily the better football player, but sometimes you need that gritty type player and I think Flanagan should play against Hearts.

Either way I feel like we must win on Sunday, i'd rather lose on Thursday and win on Sunday, we cannot concede first against Hearts. Pressure is on!

02 Oct 2018 16:40:24
I’d like to see Flanagan at RB in the back 4 with Katic Goldson and Barasic, not necessarily Thursday but some time soon to see how solid we look.

02 Oct 2018 18:01:00
If Flanagan plays it needs to be RB.
Can't see SG dropping Tav,
Would Flanagan be an option as a Defensive midfielder?

02 Oct 2018 20:23:00
I think with Flanagan at the back we would be more solid defensively and possibly push Tav up one.

02 Oct 2018 20:25:54
I've seen every game and Flanagan has performed better at LB rather than RB so far, just my observation, not saying that would be a long term outcome but just so far IMO. On another note, Coulaby has been poor last 3 games. I think all players form has gone up and down, when all 11 are firing on all cylinders we see the results.

Unfortunately all 11 on Sunday forgot they were playing for Rangers and had their minds on the x factor and a Sunday night just eat, like most youngsters these days. Its also possible they did not respect the opposition enough and couldn't raise their game when they realised Livy were up for it. They are a new "young" team and will have consistency issues, I hope this improves as they gain experience and game time over the season as a squad. Its not fitness or ability this season just mental preparation.

02 Oct 2018 10:34:33
Anybody else have any problems with jd sports I ordered home top on the 26th and still haven't received it yet. According to Hermes they are still waiting on parcel.

02 Oct 2018 11:43:33
Mine came next day.

02 Oct 2018 14:31:54
I ordered the wee mans online from Rangers and it arrived this morning.

02 Oct 2018 14:42:28
36th, on your order confirmation email what was your order number. Apparently they are working their way up that. I was 3000odd and I got my tops on Saturday there. My mate was order 8000 and hasn't got his yet.

02 Oct 2018 18:03:04
It’s 43 mate.

02 Oct 2018 08:26:58
I think artificial pitches should be banned in the Scottish premier league and championship. They have no place in senior football. The SFA should release some of their greedy coffers and help teams install proper turf pitches with undersoil heating. Surely a government or FIFA grant might be available. Not making excuses, but plastic pitches are a great leveller. celtic lost to Kilmarnock recently on one of these pitches too and Hibs lost to Livingston. If weather is the concern, have a proper winter break in January and February and extend the season into June.

02 Oct 2018 09:06:16
There are too many problems with plastic pitches.
Increased injury risk - older players end up with knee and back problems. Murphy out for season.
Influences team selection.
The ball sticks and bounces randomly.
You can't slide tackle unless you want a skin graph.

If livingston finish top 6 this season i can see other teams getting rid of grass and installing plastic because its becoming a weapon.

02 Oct 2018 09:28:20
I don’t think the pitch was the problem on Sunday however I do agree that there is no place for them in the Premiership. There is an advantage to these teams and the more success they have the more teams will opt for them, we cannot let them become the norm.

02 Oct 2018 09:56:48
It will take a strong SFA to come out and condem them from next season but won't happen. I think we have 4 teams out of 12 using plastic pitches. 1 in every 3 teams not a great way to raise the profile of the league.

02 Oct 2018 09:56:59
Don't want to jump on pitch bandwagon as its the same for both teams. Only thing could be an issue is age or use of the pitches. I think they have to be changed every 10 to 12 years on usage and can only be used for football/ rugby or football/ hockey but not all sports. Don't know if they are being used for solely football or not? Would be interesting to know if the SFA are keeping track of the usage?

02 Oct 2018 10:25:42
Doiger that's exactly what I was going to say. Allow a team to apply for funding to improve/ install grass only pitches.
I heard a representative from SFA was asked to take pictures of pitch at livingston at half time. don't know if its true or for what reason. I personally would hate to play on that type of pitch.
The game is meant to be played on grass. Unless like MSL everyone does it, but I'am sure there pitches are far far better than any artificial pitches we have.
Its a grass sport let's play it on grass. I mean how can Hearts let there grass grow a couple of mm in height if its artificial?

02 Oct 2018 11:02:49
I remember playing on one of the first artificial pitches in my native Dundee back in the 1970s and it was horrible. Difficult to control the ball, can't go into full-blooded tackles, certainly not of the sliding variety. Get rid!

02 Oct 2018 11:46:06
Yeah I remember Annfield, stirling albions old ground. Remember no one wore shorts and coach told us no slide tackles as you got burnt. Obviously its not like that now though.

02 Oct 2018 11:47:33
Artificial pitches are used in European comps so don’t see the sofa or anyone else changing that rule.

02 Oct 2018 13:12:05
Great reading the old time posts. Just to add to that i used to play on a red blaze pitch in Stewarton. Oaft!

02 Oct 2018 13:26:55
Top class football should be played on grass, end of.

02 Oct 2018 13:34:33
I played and coached on these surfaces for many years. They should be banned, no argument. A bit of training, okay, playing full-on professional games, never.

02 Oct 2018 16:41:43
While I don’t think the surface was THE reason for our performance on Sunday, I do believe it was a contributing factor in one or two players performances. Namely Ejaria. Every time he tried to turn a player he lost his footing. Players were slipping about all day. Remember when Barasic got in behind fullback and chose wrong pass to Lafferty? Lafferty slipped then too.

The Livi surface in doesn’t not suit the so called flair players. Killie is slightly better but still not great.

02 Oct 2018 17:36:46
Goalie, believe it or not, decent red blaize had better properties for playing on than astroturf, but people shouted it down in favour of the 'new technology' without really understanding it or giving it proper thought.

02 Oct 2018 18:03:41
Red Blaze and a Mitre Ball those were the days.

02 Oct 2018 19:46:25
no place for these shody pitches should be grass or drop out of division makes scottish football more of a laughing stock.

03 Oct 2018 07:32:28
I agree the pitch was nothing to do with us getting beat, we were shocking on the day. What I will say is people are saying "Well it's the same for both teams" it's not at all, every team in the league with a grass pitch will play on plastic 8 Times this season, the 4 teams with plastic pitches will play on plastic 25 Times this season. While it definitely wasn't the reason for our defeat, these teams have a clear advantage in that they are playing on their plastic pitch once a fortnight so it really is not the same for both teams.

03 Oct 2018 13:54:39
DOIGER the pitches have changed a lot since then lol.

03 Oct 2018 22:31:43
Try the black ash at provanmill. I still have bits of it in my knee and thigh.

02 Oct 2018 07:54:12
I see aberdeen are looking for a 50/ 50 split for the semi-final, I’m not being unreasonable to ask that they should guarantee the sale of all 25,000 at say £25 a pop. Same goes for Hearts if they are looking for 50/ 50. I’m not being arrogant but Rangers and Celtic supporters turn up in vast numbers week in week out and if some fans have to miss out then these seats should not be left unsold.

02 Oct 2018 08:21:34
They shouldn’t get a 50/ 50 split as they can’t sell out their rabbit hutch of a ground. It should be at least 60/ 40 split in Rangers favour as we have 40,000 fans who regularly contribute to the game. So why should some miss out so fans who hardly put a penny into the game can attend.

02 Oct 2018 09:37:09
You're spot on Arthur D! Where are their supporters, at most other games, within the season? I'll tell you where, sitting in the house because they can't be bothered to go out and support their teams! Absolute glory hunters and make NO apologies for saying it!

02 Oct 2018 12:07:32
It was last season that hit it home for me, up at Pittodrie, big game fighting us for second and the tramps couldn't even sell out. Shameful.

02 Oct 2018 13:29:57
I'd refer to them in another way, coops but I doubt my post would appear on here! Absolute rancid pack of animals they are. Hopefully that makes it!

02 Oct 2018 17:21:26
The farce continues. Book flights hotel for Hampden game. Now may be murrayfield. Or at best 1400 kick off.
Doncaster needs to go.
And god knows what the police get paid for. Can’t make a decision.

02 Oct 2018 18:45:49
50/ 50 split? go for it. embarrass the lot of them, show them up. where are these guys every week?

02 Oct 2018 20:29:37
I think they took about 12,000 to the semi vs Motherwell last season, they have a cheek asking for 50/ 50.
