From my own honest view point the performances have really dropped off in the last 5 or 6 games. I fail to see why Mckay gets so much praise on here. For me he works hard but offers little else. He very rarely attacks and beats a man and I'm convinced he doesn't know what a byeline is. His passing is poor, he always tries to look smart by doing a little flicked pass off the top of his boot but it very rarely finds its man.

He doesn't create enough or score enough. Halliday is another who has been lacking of late. He started off very well but his last few performances have been poor at best. As for Clark and Wilson, I've seen better players in the Juniors. Oduwa and Zelalem flatter to deceive. Flashes of talent but not much end product. Replacements for Wilson, Clark and McKay are a must come January as they are not of the standard required and a defensive midfielder is badly needed.

03 Nov 2015 09:31:37
I've been saying it all season about Mckay mate, shouting at him to take his man on. Seems to have gotten worse since Warbs was bummin him up in the papers.

03 Nov 2015 12:47:03
I suppose it's all about opinions. I thought wee McKay did well in general on Sunday but faded a little towards the end. I remember he made some very good passes to Wallace inside the full back and also remember him cutting the ball back from the by-line to set somebody up. I think he is a very good player who is destined for better things. Would you rather have Fraser Aird?
Halliday is a good player and definitely good enough for the SPL imo and Wilson has already proven he has it in him to play in the top division. As for the 2 Spurs loanees - Zelalem is a good player but looks a little out of sorts. Oduwa sometimes flatter to deceive but he has talent and almost scored a fantastic goal. I've already said that Clark is not good enough and anything I've seen from him this season has not changed my mind. I really don't think we have much to worry about. On any other day we would have won the game on Sunday. Imo we have easily enough quality to get out of this division.

03 Nov 2015 18:08:48
Mckay/ was at the gamee and cannot remember any telling crosses or
passes. Y
theArsenal kid clearly sees a pass, but rarely delivers a good pass.

03 Nov 2015 16:22:23
A winger should be able to take his man on. case closed on mackay. replacement needed.

02 Nov 2015 21:55:11
I see Murdoch is only on loan at Cowdenbeath until January. Should we be re-calling him and using him instead of chasing Eustace?

02 Nov 2015 15:07:26
Trying to be objective, is difficult, we were the better team though a draw would probably been a fair result.

Far to often we were passing sideways or backwards with very little movement up front and far too many plain poor passes. We all know we need a striker. Warbs has said we are looking a Jan. signings, I don't think we will need them to win the league but certainly if we want to be ready for next year 3 or 4 quality signings would be ideal.

02 Nov 2015 17:23:05
We could do with a defensive midfielder so that Halliday and Holt could then be deployed further forward but I am sure MW knows this.

02 Nov 2015 13:02:21
Non football issue. To all golf Bears out there, please be aware that MA Sports Direct has bought over Direct Golf. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

02 Nov 2015 21:07:58
ma also used duff and phelps as the administrators to get direct golf on the cheap i used direct golf for all my golf equipment but will never use the company again after i found out ashley took control.

02 Nov 2015 12:46:02
no panic just yet, but I would let Zalelem go back to Arsenal and give Thompson a game or two, would also like to see Hardie brought in, but overall, looking at the shots on goal in recent games, we need intensive practise sessions to find the bloody target, the resulting accuracy has been abysmal.
Lastly, let Eustace go back down south and get another tough midfielder on our radar.

02 Nov 2015 14:38:37
Agree with most of that wee bill.

Good in a way that many bears are being more realistic about the team this season after the defeat yesterday. I am still convinced that we will win the league without any real trouble and think MW has did a fantastic job so far.

The fact is though he is not a miracle worker, we bought at the bargain basement end of the market during the summer along with some loan players and this was far from ideal in a world where even Celtic can splash out over a million on the not very talented thug Nadir Ciftci. MW found excellent value for money players and I am sure that if he had been given the 'front loaded investment' promised by Dave King we would be in a far better place.

MW has one hand tied behind his back although he hasn't complained about it. IMO we need more than a couple of players during the next transfer window if we want to be in with a better chance of Europe next season. Last year I think he signed five players at Brentford at the same transfer window and in an ideal world I would like to see five new faces at Ibrox with a couple of departures.

02 Nov 2015 17:31:52
Wee Bill

Agree with you on Eustace as he is obviously injury prone and we need to look at other possible transfer targets.
Zelalem maybe is a bit lightweight but has good awarness but can be prone to a few slack passes like v St Mirren.
Like to see Thompson given some game time firstly off the bench.

02 Nov 2015 13:26:06
We require stronger players and I'm beginning to think zelalom is colour blind, someone said on here a week or so ago, zelalom was one of the most talented players ever to play at Ibrox!. we must have been really bad then. I feel some of us don't get the difference between top league football and the leagues below.

it isn't about skilful passing and fancy patterns, these are great if your team is strong enough to cope with fit, hard players, but our team isn't mentally or physically strong enough, yet. However, I'm confident we'll will sort this.

02 Nov 2015 19:23:39
Give zelalem time, he'll prove himself with his quality, lightweight or not. Could name a couple of lightweight midfielders in the Barcelona squad who've been bossing the cream of European football for over a decade now!

03 Nov 2015 08:01:55
Naz

Sorry but your argument falls flat when you consider what league we are in. He isn't working with one hand tied behind his back when you consider the wage budget compared to the rest of the league. We are up against a lot of part time teams with far smaller budgets. The standard in the league is poor and I would expect a half decent manager to get the results Watburton has got.

02 Nov 2015 10:04:16
What are my fellow rangers supporters opinions on jason holt as a midfielder and is he premiership class for when we get back up to the top league?

inevitably after this season, I had a debate in my local after our defeat to hibs on sunday and some other 'gers fans don't think he's good enough for the big league. I beg to differ as I think holty does have what it takes to play for rangers in the big league and the majority in the pub agreed with me. what's the feeling out there regarding holt? I think he's a smashing midfielder with very good technique!

02 Nov 2015 15:28:33
I think he is good enough to play in the top league in Scotland. It is hardly a league filled to the gunwales with quality. Whether Rangers are competing in the top league or not, it is of a very poor standard.

02 Nov 2015 17:18:42
Holt is a tremendous young player full of energy and great awarness and he can chip in with the odd goal.
I am sure he can play in The Scottish Premiership but let's take one game at a time.

02 Nov 2015 19:46:40
Defo think Holts good enough for the SPFL. Also think we'll be a different team with Holt/Halldiay in front of a more defensive minded midfielder in the Eustace mild. Still think Warburton missed a trick letting the boy Murdoch go, his energy in that position last year was great I thought and he could easily have played again this year and let Halliday play further forward.

02 Nov 2015 13:30:29
He is a smashing wee footballer, but again is he strong enough? And I would like to see Ball staying longer, zela has chucked it, Oduwa needs games.

02 Nov 2015 14:54:52
I agree warbs I think he's been a fantastic signing for peanuts and does not get the credit he deserves. Works hard and some of his passing has been clinical. Does a lot that goes unnoticed too. Give him a few more months and see but I think he'll step up no probs.

02 Nov 2015 10:55:16
Can we sign a striker. Nicky Clark, he try's and try's but not a rangers player in your life.

Waggs needs help up there, McKay was posted missing side ways and backwards never drove at the Hibs at all.

Danny Wilson too Lack-luster.

Played lovely football at time but wee still short and need a few more experienced additions in January or Hibs will pip us to first.

Mark my words, few injuries and out of form players and our season could be derailed!

We need to address the strength and depth of squad ASAP!

02 Nov 2015 08:51:32
mr king and rangers release a statement saying the share issue will not go threw till after the court cases we could be waiting for along time for this to happen so where does this leave us in the short term warburton was previously talking about getting players in then day after this statement he comes out and says it will be only one or two players that ain't no coindence a day after statement from the club i can only asume we will be operating in the free agents market this up coming summer once the
loans go back to there club plus the likes off clark miller sheilds wilson are not good eneogh for premeir leauge if we are going shove waghorn out on right then we should be playing hardie not miller or clark they are not our future yesterday plus st jonstone game has just showing us we will need better players than we have just now.

02 Nov 2015 09:17:44
Now that was a long sentence! Shiels was shortlisted for SPL Player of the Year a few years back so don't understand how he can't be good enough for Premier League. Still trying to understand why people try and pick holes in every statement the club/manager makes. We are going in the right direction, have some patience and support the team!

02 Nov 2015 10:35:39
this ain't a writing contest mate am not picking holes i am making a very valid point sheilds can not get a game now so he is not going to play in premeir it is a waste of a wage players we sign from now on need to better than what we have i have patience and do support the team but we do need a few better players to step up next season.

02 Nov 2015 11:27:39
Felt we should of had more from the game and we were the better team for most. This team has been together for a very short space of time and imo are doing pretty well and will hopefully get better over time. 5 points ahead, let's try and stay positive. Honestly, I know young hardie hasn't featured much but from what I've seen, is he the answer? Not sure he will need a decent run in the team. but as far as I'm concerned Nicky Clark has had his last chance for me.

Nice lad and tries hard but it's not working. He's had a couple of seasons and I'd love to be proven wrong.

02 Nov 2015 15:17:50
I'm pretty sure that over the next 2 transfer windows that a few more players will be brought in. Look at the value for money we've had out of Warburton's signings already. I fully trust the manager, and i'm sure the board will back him if he has specific targets in mind. These won't be big name, big bucks signings. They will be players who are young, hungry and coachable.

02 Nov 2015 08:09:55
I can't believe the amount of negative comment about how Warburton and the way we played. I don't think we should be scared off Hibs. I thought we were the better team and we were just unlucky. We should have had a clear penalty at the start, we hit the bar then the post. We were unfortunate not to come away with the point at least. At the start off the season if we were offered to be in first place 5 points clear at this point I think most of us would have accepted it.

Happy Monday's.

02 Nov 2015 08:53:00
I agree John I thought hibs played well in the first half and we played better in the second. They put away their chances and we didn't. That about sums it up lol.

But on a positive its November and that's the first points we have dropped so far this season. Away to Hibs is probably our toughest league game of our season so I'm not loosing any sleep :)

02 Nov 2015 06:45:36
I just watched that video on daily rancour with the gers mini bus being attacked. Absolutely disgraceful, this animals should be found and locked up. Thank god the driver had the good sense to keep going. hh joe.

02 Nov 2015 08:17:18
If one of they people in front of the bus had got injured by the bus the driver would probably have been blamed lol, people like that are just idiots.
