For goodness sake Ally stood beside him for nearly 4 years did he not learn a thing....well I'm beginning to think no. It was Ally that signed the defensive duds when he could have had a few Scottish lads in there. Jiggly has to go back to centre of the team and have someone else up front

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Walter could only do it with £80m BoS overdraft and EBTs. Now he doesn't have that BUT he now has twelve money hungry investors wanting money out the club.
Smiths got no chance.

Agree12 Disagree2

Ally is only the manager the coaches are to blame if you ask me whoever the coach is who works with the defence needs the sack immediately. I coach at soccer sevens just started recently with my boys team. They had only won 4 games in two and half seasons never kept a clean sheet. Now they have won 4 out of there last 5. Same manager different coach. The manager had put a good squad together they just needed a good coach to help them gel as a team

why don,t ranger.s fans get together and demand say 2 or 3 seat,s on the board someone you all trust (unpaid of course)use your spending power, without you they are nothing, green need,s watched by people who care about the club not someone who stand,s to make money off your back,s,something like a fan,s watchdog,garlar07

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Correct buy £20m shares get 50% seats on the board. Guys are giving green £1m for 10% and getting a say!! The whole idea is get your money but no board positions for you. And ffs no Ally or Smith as reps!

These would be non voting seat,s people to act on behalf of fan,s to protect their intrest,s to watch green,s every move, ranger,s fan,s will buy shares they have no choice,im a celtic fan i would not like to see ordinary people like myself shafted,garlar07

@3;How many gers fans are as uninformed as you? it's a REGISTRATION ban

Agree13 Disagree2

FFS sake you CANNOT register or sign any player over 18! Why don't you know this if you support the team?

Agree10 Disagree2

There's only supposed to be a squad of 22 registered players anyway and we've registered our max. Anyone running on the field not on the registered list would stand out like a sore thumb.

Believable19 Unbelievable6

High risk financial speculators. None a Rangers man. English, foreign, looking for big returns. The Only returns at Ibrox are from fans there's no income from anywhere else.

Green lying again.

Dallas Cowboys deny having any conversations with Rangers over commercial partnership:

http://www.scotzine.com/2012/11/the-phantom-commercial-partnership-between-rangers-and-dallas-cowboys/

Believable23 Unbelievable2

It seems the more you look the more Mr Green looks like a story teller.I have never thought he was the man to lead Rangers to a new dawn. This guy will be exposed, fans need cast iron guarantees that share cash will not be used to pay initial investors or running costs.I get the horrible feeling that these rumours of cash running out might be true. AB.

Agree21 Disagree5

OK THAT'S THE FINAL FINAL STRAW. This guy is setting us up as mugs for a huge sting and McCoist is going along with it to save his own skin and career from the sack. In Ally we cannot trust. He's compromised and looking after himself. Green is a charlatan and Ally will go down with him. No hoodwinked duped stories afterwards ally, green lies all the time.

02 Nov 2012 17:38:20
and you believe ANYTHING in Celtzine! lol oh dear

Agree4 Disagree13

Can't believe any fan is seriously considering buying shares. Get more benefit from throwing money on a bonfire.

Agree10 Disagree2

@3: so anything you disagree with must come from a Celtic-biased source and, therefore, is false?

What if it's actually true? What then?

Agree9 Disagree1

I'm sure Mr Green can debunk the Scotzine story if it's untrue and put across his side of the story and if he's told the truth he can cite the article as an example of enemies of the club spreading malacious gossip or lies.

But I doubt somehow that's going to happen.

Agree9 Disagree0

@6: the guy who wrote the article may just use the emails he claims to have from the Dallas Cowboys as proof. If indeed he has them. That would be very embarrassing for Green (and those who doubt the story).

Agree2 Disagree0

@4 I'll stick with Guy Fawkes. Surprised you see bonfires what with working in the city!

Agree1 Disagree0

@8: what financial benefit is there in buying football shares for the puchaser? You don't need to work in the city to know there's none.

Agree1 Disagree0

@6 Scotzine have the necessary proof of these facts in the form of written paperwork for all to see.The same cannot be said of Green & Amhed.these blusters by the pair are never backed up by appropriate proof.I wonder why?

RANGERS will be docked £31,000 from this season's Scottish Cup income to pay off their debt to Dundee United.

CG should take a strong stance with these robbin b*****'s. Rangers should not pay the game agains Alloa; no game, no income, no payment to Dundee United.

SPL should honor their agreement to pay up, but I am sure this will not happen as there is no honor amongst thieves.

Carling1873

Believable9 Unbelievable25

At least dick turpin wore a mask, these tw....s have no shame, liewell led, what do you expect.....trueblue.....

Agree5 Disagree20

Lol Newco fan going on about honour, Glinty Green agreed that your new club would honour all football debts of old Rangers(just to get a place in the 3rd) More worrying for you should be Glinty just told you that there was no debt, not another lie from the master con man surely

Agree24 Disagree3

Mr Green agreed to this to gain a licence transfer to allow us to at least play this season.Stop blindly following this guy, look at the times his stupid stories have been nonsense. AB.

Agree23 Disagree2

Dallas Cowboys deny even having business discussions with who?
This guy Green has zero credibility and has now told twice the number of lies as Craig Whyte. We don't need to run with this guy. Tell Ahmed we want him replaced as CEO and it will happen. Green has no shares, he's an employee. No fans at Ibrox until embarrassing Green steps down.

Agree21 Disagree1

@1: desperate to blame Celtic for Rangers' problems. Totally pathetic. Try looking closer to home at your own Green and Whyte.

Agree21 Disagree1

@OP: the Scottish Cup has nothing to do with the SPL.

Agree17 Disagree1

OP If only carling did brains!! So if you don't play Alloa, where are the possible onging revenue streams.

Agree15 Disagree0

You agreed to pay the football debts so get on with it ...

Agree14 Disagree1

Rangers insist the Scottish Premier League are to blame over an outstanding amount due from the club to Dundee United.

The Ibrox side waived any claim to £2.55m in prize money from the league for the 2011/12 season, as part of the agreement which saw them granted the transfer of the club's Scottish FA membership.

Rangers also agreed to settle all football debts, this week making payments to Celtic and Hearts. Responsibility for a circa £66,000 debt to Dundee United, relating to gate receipts from a Scottish Cup tie last campaign, was taken on by the Scottish FA and SPL, Charles Green believes.

STV has learned that half of the approximate £66,000 share of gate receipts was paid by the Scottish Football Association last season after money due to Rangers was diverted to Tannadice.

Dundee United though, issued a statement on Wednesday morning saying that they were yet to receive an amount, believed to be in the region of £31,000, following Rangers chief executive Green's claim that all football debts had now been paid.

STV understands the SPL does not believe that there is a firm agreement to make the remaining payment. However, the amount remains unpaid and Rangers have reiterated that they have a written agreement with the SPL for the league to pay United from prize money from the 2011/12 season.

The agreement was clarified in a letter, the wording of which has been obtained by STV, sent by SPL secretary Iain Blair to Rangers on May 18 this year.

It read: "The Board of the Scottish Premier League Ltd considered the application by Dundee United that the outstanding sum due by Rangers to Dundee United of £31,031.20 be offset against the next sums due to Rangers by SPL Ltd, with the offset sum being paid to Dundee United.

"The board decided to accede the application to Dundee United and accordingly the sum will be withheld from the next sum payable by the SPL Ltd to Rangers, and the sum will be paid by the SPL Ltd to Dundee United."

Should agreement not be reached over payment then the Scottish FA could be asked to act as arbitrators by Dundee United.
................................................................................................................

The direct quotes attributable to the SPL secretary Iain Blair make it a pretty clear cut case to me and Green is quite right in insisting it is the SPL's duty to pay it.

Three main points to consider here are the date, Spl agreeing to pay Dundee United, and to use the next withheld SPL payment to Rangers to do it.

18th of May, the date of the communique, was before the end of the season so the £2.55m (where did that money actually go - anybody know? Clearly not to United anyway) withheld at the seasons end would be the next payment, as the wording clearly stated. Green might tell lies but he is bang on with this one.

Brian

p.s. @6 The SFA paid the initial half payment from Scottish Cup money withheld from Rangers so there is a precedent for it happening again if they choose to ignore Green's evidence and insist it is payable by Rangers.

Agree2 Disagree2

Bottom line SPL are skint and have spent the money.

Every time Charles Green opens his mouth its a combination of deception, contradiction, lies, deceit and spin. Unfortunately for the Sevco fans people believe what they want to believe - facts only get in the way. Charles Green has not spent one penny from his own pocket and stands to get away with a tidy sum once he has fleeced the sevconians of money they can ill afford to lose. Its a mess Ally McCoist should have steered well clear of.

This is from an article written by a Rangers fan...

Records held by Companies House reveal that nine of the companies Charles Green has been involved with have been dissolved.

He has a track record of moving very quickly between posts, resigning from 31 different appointments during his time in business.

He is known among Sheffield United supporters as "the hatchet man" who sold off some of the club's most valuable players (Brian Deane/Jan Aage Fjortoft) before resigning.

He left Sheffield United "in a mess"

"As if things couldn't get any worse, up pops Charles Green" (Sheffield Utd fans quote on his prospective ownership of Rangers)

"Don't let that man anywhere near Rangers or football" (Anonymous quote to Evening Times)

You can't say sevconians haven't been warned!

Believable22 Unbelievable13

So what were we supposed to do? disappear into oblivion - maybe that's what you hoped for, alas it didn't. Charles Green is the only show in town and we have to get on with it. Once again, many thanks for the warning, we've had umpteen of them from the east end lawyers, judges, etc etc etc. Never knew you cared so much.

Agree8 Disagree13

Your alternative...?

OP that has got to be the most hilarious post this YEAR!
'"Don't let that man anywhere near Rangers or Football" (Anonymous quote to the Evening Times)
What a dipstick!

Agree8 Disagree9

@2: D&P could have sold to other parties who were offering more - why didn't they?

Agree13 Disagree2

Bill Miller was saving the club with a £14m CVA offer.
Rangers fans sent him vile electronic mail scaring him off. Who orchestrated that?
You deserve Green and what is obviously going to happen.
Green stated the season ticket money was sitting untouched in the bank (heraldscotland direct interview quote in parenthesis last week). He also stated zero debt.
Ask to see the untouched season ticket money.

Agree17 Disagree3

In the long run when Green is long gone this club needs to be owned and operated by businessmen and fans who love the club. When Mr Green stated that he or any of his board members know nothing about football that says it all. All this nonsense has robbed us of our best rivalry and knocked the heart out of Scottish football. Celtic supporter here. for the record

Rangers will be docked £31,000 from this season's Scottish Cup income to pay off debts owed to Dundee United.

It's not the same club but CG agreed to these measures to pay footballing debts to get SFA license to play.
Ergo, having footballing debts means Rangers isn't debt free as CG has stated!!!

Believable20 Unbelievable14

When C Green agreed to sfa/spl blackmail to obtain licence for his company to run Rangers spl prize monies of an estimate of over£2m was withheld to pay such debts. It now seems that only half of the monies were payed to D/United.Where or Who has got the rest of the monies? Dont tell me it was used to prop up spl. It now seems that the monies from the Charlie Adams transfer was handed over to the sfa instead of Rangers so why was this money not handed over to d/dumber for outstanding creditors along with monies won by Rangers.

Agree6 Disagree12

Dundee utd where payed out the money from scottish cup and now will get the rest the spl money is nothing to do with the scottish cup and sfa cant use that money to pay utd if i where you i would be more concerned why green agreed to pay it and now hasnt because hes skint

Agree5 Disagree2

Green has f**ked every company he has touched. Why is he suddenly going to change and be a great guy for Rangers? He hates Scotland (even said it) he hates Rangers and wants out with the money.
He will buy the unsold shares up to £20m my *rse. He's an employee front man for hire not a multi millionaire.

Agree4 Disagree0

I thing that BTO the liquidators of Whytes company will be asking a few questions of the spl and sfa as to why money due to said company was not handed over to d/duffer to be shared with creditors.

What is Sir Wally of cardigan connection with Zeus Partners ? Was that who was backing Myths bib.
As for Sally ,his position as manager must be safe with his share holdings and inside knowledge ?.
Meanwhile the web of deceit keeps on spinning ....TTTS

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Ally's performance puts him in a weak position, Green can fire him with no criticism and this would end his career.
Ally is now a nodding lapdog for Green to save his own position at the strategic expense of the club being fleeced, assets sold and fans money spirited away.
Thank god Walter has more sense than to sanction all this.

I've been wondering why Ally McCoist hasn't been sacked yet. I'm no expert and obviously I don't know the ins and outs of Ally's contract, but do you think it's possible that he hasn't been sacked because Rangers can't afford to?

Perhaps if they got rid of him than they would need to pay a settlement or compensation, and Chuckie Green can't afford that and to hire a new boss as well. Afterall there's been rumours dotted here and there about Rangers running out of money and Chuckie is desperate to get this share issue finished ASAP. Just a thought.

What do you guys think?

Me Here

Believable29 Unbelievable5

Correct! McCoist is working for his one million shares. To pay for a new coaching team and pay off the old coaching team would be a bust.
But not until after the share issue.
Rangers requires very high operating costs for average footballing results. That's an unacceptable business model as revenue depends on footballing performance.

Agree12 Disagree1

If the rangers support would waken up the facts are clear, even when mcoist took the team for cup games under smith his record was deplorable, it is now worse than ever 6 cups 2 european 14 point turnaround in legue loss of millions in revenue how much more whilst i accept we did not have a lot of money some of the players brought in by him are not even junior material and tactically hopeless unless we get it right on the park the signs are ominous mcoist is trading on the facts of the admin situation if he had any real nerve he should resign to save the club money and tak mcdowall and especially durrant with him WAKEN UP NOW

Agree16 Disagree1

It's too early yet, too many things going on within Ibrox - financial and business wise where CG will not want to rock the boat. I've noticed the chants of 'Super Ally' are becoming more subdued now at Ibrox, maybe some of our fans are beginning to realize that although Ally was a playing legend (A true blue), he is struggling to live up to those ideals as a manager and obviously our fans will try to deflect the criticism of him because of that (ie. He's one of us, so you can't say anything bad). Charles Green will certainly be thinking about managerial change in the future if things do not improve, he attends the games and knows 'what way the wind is blowing' in regards to fans opinions/expectations. For me, It's not about personalities, whether it's Ally or anyone else in charge. Results matter and that's where you are lauded a success or not. Ally needs to sort things out quickly, alas if he lets this malaise carry on, then a one-way ticket out of the managers hot-seat beckons sooner rather than later.

Agree8 Disagree1

I want a good new start clean break from the poisoned past. Starting in div3 ffs we don't need the historic baggage of McCoist and smith. We need managers who we can criticise and sack rather than sacred cows.
That's how you get performance.
Sacred cows just provide angst and division.

Agree7 Disagree1

Totally agree with your post. love mccoist but needs to go and take durrant and mcdowall with him.

then totally new managers not smith or mcleish or billy davies. then when the ban is lifted a sweep out of the rubbish thats in there.

Agree5 Disagree0

If Ally sacked it would not cost a penny,Ally would not take any money out of his beloved Ranger's. Would he ?
Tam

Agree2 Disagree0

Tam. You posted on three or four threads earlier that we aren't Rangers, we are now just a 'tribute act' instead. If you genuinely believe that to be true then if/when he receives his compensation he really wouldn't be taking a penny from his beloved Rangers so there would be no reason to criticise him for accepting it. Would there?

Brian

Mr Green is due a 10% bonus for a successful float, as was disclosed in the May presentation seeking investors. This could come in the form of a 10% stake in the company, approximating to 5 million shares.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Richard Hughes is being investigated by HMRC for an illegal effort to generate millions in tax relief and according to the Dallas Cowboys public relations VP no meeting took place between Green and the Cowboys.

Agree16 Disagree1

So how many shares are being sold to raise £20m and whose shares are being sold?

Agree5 Disagree2

Who owns the outstanding 2.2million shares or 10%?

Agree4 Disagree2

Oustaning 10% (2.2million) is for green, always stated he gets 10% bonux on successful float.

Mr Hughes stands to make millions from the share floatationť (of rangers) due by the end of the year

So the millions not going into the club, but investors pockets, poor fans..... so deluded.

Agree12 Disagree0

@4 and his rather childish and pathetic retort. I don't give a monkeys what they do with their own money I know they have Celtic's best interests at heart as years of service have proven. Can you say the same of Hughes? Rub the sand out of your eyes just to make sure you get a clearer view of my question.

A dodgy spiv investor and an owner with a penchant for non truths, yeah, just what Rangers need right now.
