Stuart McColl is another long ball guy, though him and butcher know the right people in the lower England leagues to dig us up a gem or two, give then short scouting contracts, if it works out gve them better contracts, but neither is good enough to manage us, IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2015 13:40:21
I don't want either of them Edward, but I think they are beyond short term scouting contracts TBH.

As everyone who posts in here knows my own personal no.1 choice for the next rangers manager's job is billy davies, but my point is what is this personal problem that people keep saying billy davies has which amounts to them not wanting billy anywhere near the rangers manager's job, I read it on here a lot and I heard another guy mentioning it on the radio clyde phone in tonight, the guy actually said he rates billy davies very highly as a manager but wouldn't want him because of this thing he knows about him, would someone care to enlighten me to what this really seemingly bad personal thing billy has, it can't be a secret because a lot of people state they know what it is, so what is it?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - it is not really for here mate, it is a personal issue he has.}

02 Mar 2015 20:38:23

Whatever Billy Davies has done is no concern of mine but unfortunately I do not rate him and if he was as good as that other person says then why tell me why is he unemployed not for me I'll back whoever we get! Only saying nothing personnel!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Mar 2015 21:16:19
So am I correct in assuming ed that this personal issue billy davies has would mean he isn't befit to manage rangers and that whatever it is would interfere big time with him being a manager?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Very much so, people (media & other clubs) would have a field day with it)

Do you mind a certain Tommy Polygraph Sheridan and a trial involving ladies of the night and there were three in the bed and the little one said "roll over" . well Billy was filming the bed and doing some rolling over by all accounts.

Even the fact he is buddy buddy with Sheridan is bad enough without the wanting a shot of your missus thrown in . this would turn us back to front page news yet again

Switched on Clyde 1 for a few minutes to hear a concerned 'fan', wonder who he supports, going on about King's directorship at Rangers will be illegal.

Why are fans of the darkside so unhealthily concerned about our directors.

It is so true, that if you want to know or understand a certain detail about RFC, in minutiae, then ask a celtic supporter.

LETTER TO SFA REGARDING THE UPCOMING MEETING RE MIKE ASHLEY, THE SELF APPOINTED OVERLORD OF GLASGOW RANGERS

A QUESTION ON THE “RANGERS BANTER” SITE SOME TIME AGO ASKED WHAT THE DECISION BY THE S.F.A. WAS LIKELY TO BE ON THE “ASHLEY AFFAIR”
May I suggest that we reprise what happened all those years back?
Could I ask you supporters OF ALL CLUBS ( I know you all enjoy this site for the uplifting and educational banter) to think of that wonderful phrase which was on the lips of the supporters of all Scottish clubs when it came to putting the heavy studded footwear into Rangers ----- REMEMBER??

Ah yes ------ “Sporting Integrity” ---- well, now the SFA has an opportunity to repay the Rangers fans who now wish to have their measure of that wonderful remedy that you INSISTED was good for the game in Scotland ---- you the leader of the FANS – you, who insisted that the FANS should be “listened too”.

OK Football's leader's, Listen to US for a change --- forget the business end of things, of what Rangers revenue means to Scottish football and think of what the fans of Glasgow Rangers are trying to accomplish --- we are fighting for the continued existence of one of the world's most iconic football clubs and you can help us achieve this by employing your own doctrine which you introduced those few years ago ----”LISTEN TO THE FANS” ---- that is the opportunity that you, the SFA will have soon ---- Help us to regain our club by stopping an individual who, by virtue of his great wealth, has infiltrated the very fibre of Rangers ---- Help us and yourselves to rid Scottish Football of a person who has never heard of your great phrase "SPORTING INTEGRITY" ------ You have already ruled that he may not hold a shareholding of more than 10% ----- Now you are due to rule on whether this person exerts undue influence on the running of Rangers .
Surely to G** it is abundantly transparent that since his involvement, the recent past (and present), he has dictated the make up of both the R.I.F.C. Plc. and the R.F.C. Ltd. Boards. If this is not undue influence then pray tell me what it is. For me, just a simple football fan, to now receive my share of being “listened too” and to be at last embraced in “Sporting Integrity” by the S.F.A., indeed, be a day to remember.

I read with some amusement the disparaging comments Mr Somers makes about a the people who made his time at Ibrox so bad, If this guy with the toff smug FAF face had managed to have a single bit of self respect and not been such a greed fool and actually had the best interest of Glasgow Rangers on his agenda he would have had a better time at Ibrox

Why don't you like me as I full my pockets whith your cash and squander all the assets
WTF do you think we don't like you. A good days graft and an a circle of friends who actually have to work to pay the bills and not a bunch of silver spoon clowns with more cash that brains would not go a miss.

By By chubby checker, TAXI to the rehabilitation centre for spoon fed wealthy clowns who have no idea what ordinary people have to endure day in day out juts to keep the lights on, while you fill your pockets with hundreds of thousands of our hard earned cash
What a shock we don't like you. Enjoy your fall let's hope it a long one.

Agree5 Disagree1

02 Mar 2015 20:37:06
I have sat back patiently for the past few months and endured the criticism of Dave King from
our MA lovers (and armchair experts in business, stocks and shares et al)
It's always amazing that those who know least about a subject are the very people who will be at the forefront of negative outpouring.
In my defence of DK perhaps I should explain that I myself lived in South Africa for many many years and, in fact, had been ten years or so in Africa before DK arrived in 1976.
Believe me, I am well aware of the “ins and outs” of contractural dealing throughout Southern Africa. However, I digress.
Dave King set up his company Specialised Outsourcing with a view to managing the BILLIONS of Rand’s that were floating (and doing nothing) around in the accounts of the Government and parastatals and, of course, negotiated a percentage payment for doing so (ok smart a*** you would probably have done it for nothing). Here was a business man who was astute enough to recognise a tremendous opportunity.

DK's tax problems have been well documented in this country and I am, in no way, trying paint him as a man without blemish but there are so called fans on this site who want to stigmatize him ---- FOR WHAT???
How many cases of companies or individuals who are taken to court by the Tax authorities (in any country) end up paying the original amount??? List please!!!!
Let's start with the coffee companies then extend to the internet sales etc, etc ----- got the picture??? and, please don't give me that “ oh but that's different” ---- TAX IS TAX.

Why do the Tax authorities not recover these vast amounts of money?? Answer ---- because they don't do their homework properly. In South Africa many of the top tax experts in the country AGREED with Dave King in that some of the profits he made were not of a revenue nature but of a capital nature.

Dave King is a genuine, dyed -in-the-wool. Glasgow boy with the colour blue in his viens – trust him and he along with our other great “Three Bears” will lead us to victory.

Oh yes --- just a wee snippet --- I had word from one of my friends in SA to say that Dave King's company MICROmega's shares had rocketed since the tax settlement with SARS --- HE RECKONS THAT ( ON PAPER) DK has more than recovered his Tax fine.

Isn't that really gratifying.

George back to his old tim-calling when he senses like-minded buffoons around him to give him hauners. I' bet you're great in a fight, shouting from the safety of the back.

King is a convicted tax criminal. Considering we got taken down for not paying out taxes, you REALLY think this is a "new direction" for rangers to be going in? Rangers used to be about dignity, now it's about covering up the past.

You are deluded, as per.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Mar 2015 15:17:35
Looks like king and Co are here. Now moving forward how much will it take to put a team on the park to compete with the rest and where will the funds come from? I was reading that's all the the income as MA tied to it, this can't be true surely?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Mar 2015 16:00:32
jackie

1 million plus left of 5 million at least so say 3.5million to ashwipe and all assets released from hold.

King was originally looking at 16milion but revised that to 25million

I have been saying for some time this will be proovided for by King and associated business partners and written off.

The next set of Season sales will bring in likely 15million based on how fans care about Rangers in Div 3/4 now that **** are gone.

I suspect a deal will be worked with ashley to terminate his contracts REGARDLESS if legal or not. He will be facing almost 100% boycott of ALL his products from Rangers fans after his attempt to bankrupt us and steal our assets has failed. He is not stupid he can take a one off payment from Kings team to cancel ALL contracts or face 2/3 years boycott and losing everything not making a penny. He will sell up. This will open up huge income to Rangers again. Even if he doesn't cancel the Rangers board will set up a non branded kit product that fans can buy guaranteeing all monies to our club. A no brainer.

I think Sarver will possibly be approached as an investor.

Lastly when ashley is sorted out I am sure the board will make syre that we have 75% share holding support to allow us to have new share issue and diluting ashleys holding plus again large sum of money for Rangers! Personally having lost the board I think after dealing with King in near future ashley will sell his shares he has lost what green promised him all our assets so I can't see him being happy to stay around and not be able to run us like he was with crooks board

.

i am george

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I would think any contract would rule out the making of a non-branded kit as standard. I would doubt Ashley would miss a loophole as obvious as that, when all standard kit deals forbid such a thing.}

02 Mar 2015 16:34:09
ED

If we were to base our kit on similar lines to the red and black scarves worn by Manchester fans it is not infringement we can't just churn out a Blue top with 31 Red on it I realise lolol but an independent product of say a red and black top would be fine as long as the Rangers badge is not on it.Were we to as Bears all decide to wear a red and black Rugby top worn by Saracens that would be totally legal, so if we produce an independent similar top with monies going to Rangers Fighting Fund or to Rangers I am sure that is ok.

Unless I am missing something this is legal

i am george

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - that is not the same as Rangers producing an unmarked kit, which is what you were talking about though.}

02 Mar 2015 17:19:53
ED

Does it matter if it is Rangers? So if not it would have to be an independent producer then?

Dont know the exact logistics tbh but it does seem a no brainer for King to arrange through the fans to starve ashley out

i am george

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - it is unlikely that anything Rangers related would be allowed under trademark and copyright laws, no matter how independent the producer.}

02 Mar 2015 17:58:39
ED

I was more wondering on the producer of said kit.

I realise on RFC badge etc that's why red and black non branded, though if I had choice I would go for Orange to wind up the tims and SFA lolol

I'm with George on this one ed, personally I would rather pull on a hooped top (maybe no!)than pay for anything that would benefit Ashley.
Im pretty sure that would be the feeling of most bears. I don't doubt for a minute the deal the fat man has in place will be nothing other than watertight, however there will be ways for normal fans to benefit the club directly if someone with proper business savy gave the idea their attention.

I think now we would maybe be better if we didn't get promotion this year as I think another year in the Championship wouldn't do us any more harm. I would like to see Felix Magath in charge of restructuring the youth set up which is badly needed and getting a decent manager in and do what sally should have done 3 years ago and get a system of play introduced from the first team through to the youths and most importantly getting players in that are more fitting of wearing a Glasgow Rangers jersey than the dross we have got now. Onwards and Upwards WATP

I spoke to big Craig at SoS about this and he feels that we are better raising our game against the top flight teams and possibly coming second rather than being stuck hammering teams in the Championship for a year I actually agree with him as even with say McInnes & Magath team in place until you play the top 6 teams in SPFL you really have no proper gauge on the level of development plus mind also that Championship style football is a whole different one to SPFL you hear that regularly from teams that go up then get relegated straight back down totally differnet styles of play.

I really hope we're not walking blindly into another shambles. We are relying on a convict who sat on the board that lead to liquidation. I know desperate times call for desperate measures but in my opinion this is a bridge too far. I wonder how soon after Friday the begging bowls will come out.

Hopefully King will be able to come to some agreement with Ashley. That is the only way forward.

Him sir David Murray, Paul Murray, Martin Bain they are all accountable. And if he loved the club so much why not buy the club from sir David Murray when we were desperately in need of a buyer?

I totally reiterate all this morning's posts by my fellow blue noses', good riddance to big david(oily face), good for nothing somers, a total arrogant waste of space and never tried to understand the first thing about the institution we are proud to call glasgow rangers, now let's press ahead and get rid of the last 2 rats lameass & leach (his name says it all 'bears), king & co can now get down to the hard work in rebuilding us which will take time but we'll get there with the help of all us wonderful fans, I hope & pray king goes out and appoints a new manager/ head coach as soon as to rebuild us and take us back to the pinnacle of scottish football, as long as its the correct manager we get I honestly don't really care what manager we get, 'GO ON THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS'

Great news about fatso Somers resigning too. I see the hysterical green trolls are on other forums stating that administration or insolvency will now follow. Shows how stupid they are, and scared. Therre is no way in the world administration or insolvency would be countenanced by a court with several backers prepared to invest millions of pounds. Full houses for every Ibrox match please until end of season!

DOIGER

They are now officially aware we are 100% coming back for what is rightfully ours - title 55 and the continuing story of The Glasgow Rangers

Look at all the stuff that has been done to our team and us fans in 3 years and not one other club supported us despite the fact the tax thing was ninsense and thrown out and will be again, the titles theft stopped, our history confirmed by everyone in football and in Law except the unwashed and the Police backing up the fact we were VICTIMS of a fraudulent scheme and continuing theft by crooks in the guise of businessmen

We as a club and as fans did nothing wrong yet 4 division demotion and vilified by everyone.

The old song No One Likes Us We Don't Care is so apt now . f them all we survived and we are back looking like the FIRST team in UK to be fan owned in the next year or so, we are already the biggest Fan Membership.

Here, here doiger & I am george, that obsessed mob from the east end are totally infatuated with us and always have been because we are the no1 football club in scotland and they know it, as our great legendary late manager once said 'we welcome the chase' and obsessed utd(septic) have always looked up to us and in many occasions copied us, they would do well to try and concentrate on their own football club, because my message to them is 'look over your shoulder's obsessed utd because the teddy bears are coming back' you all know its true!

I hear Jim McColl is also hovering on the fringes. He has already given his support to the requisitioners. I really hope he gets involved as with his financial clout along with Dave King and The 3 Bears, it wouldn't take as long as some people think to turn the team around. Many of the players are out of contract at the end of the season. And Four or five good signings would make a helluva difference. The unwashed think they are a good side - they're not. They just have no opposition at the moment. We need to change the manager now (I'd take Walter until the end of the season - he would get us up) and have a right good push for the playoffs. The top flight is definitely the place to be and we don't want to get left in the Championship while Hearts and Hibs go up. That would be a nightmare! I'm looking forward to a full Ibrox for the remaining games and I think with our fantastic support, even this team can be inspired to get us back where we belong. I think you'll see things happening WATP

Of the 12 out of contract it is a blessing as only Faure, Hutton and Robinson are wanted the other 9 ESPECIALLY 12k a WEEK Jig and 10k a WEEK Black are a joke and that alone frees up 90k NINETY THOUSAND A MONTH ffs I can believ what these clowns were earning the rest of them gone will mean around 200k a MONTH freed up in wages . incredible isn't it ally must have not read their contracts either.

£200 k a month! It is unbelievable, isn't it? A total clear out is exactly what's needed. As you say, keep the guys showing a bit of fight and promise and ship the rest out. I wouldn't be too fazed with more or a less a full change - let's be honest, we canny get any worse! I would agree with Faure and Hutton - Faure was once tipped for good things and was part of the Lyon set-up I believe. I think it is worth persevering with him. Hutton is coming into his own. He proved he can play at a higher level before and I think he just needs games. He is a wee bit slow but then so was Mark Hateley when he arrived at Ibrox and look what happened to him! Hutton looks in desperate need of a speed coach. My father was a professional footballer lucky enough to play for Scotland in the 1950's. He was a no nonsense defender but really quick as well. His club trainer used to pair him in races with the club's fastest player. It didn't half sharpen my father up by all accounts!
Not sure about Robinson - I'm glad we've got Cammy Bell coming back. Let's hope we get a tried and tested manager in for the run in. I think it's crucial that we get to the top flight. I think we can hit the road running next season. We might just surprise a few people. I know, I'm the eternal optimist!

Noddy I was reading a bit about jim McColl in newspaper, he said he couldn't get involved at our club as his shareholder have a strict rule not getting involved in football financially, he said engineering is there thing, but with him being a good blue nose, maybe he could give a bit of his own ( personal) wealth to the club, it would be a good gesture eh.

Yeah, I read that as well. There are ways and means, however.
I'd like to think Jim would be able to pitch in a little of that huge fortune. got to keep the shareholders happy though, eh?

Fantastic news to see them go one by one.
I have not been Ibrox for two years and I am
so excited about the thought of going back to watch the Gers. DK & TTB will rekindle the passion and the fans will flock back.
Lots of posts about people who have been treated horrifically and have not been in
Ibrox for a long time. 1st priority is to get the remaining Rats out the door and get the situation with Ally MC and KM sorted out and a new manager in ASAP
Happy days
