I agree that we need another centre back but assuming that we secure the Mexican striker, Pena and Dorrans then I would be relaxed although I can understand why we would want cover at full back since apart from the young boys we only have Tav and Wallace both of whom will benefit from two solid centre backs and a midfield!

Been thinking about these players we are getting and linked with we have already done a good bit of business and there is meant to be more on the way
and we have yet to get rid of any the players we don't want so I am thinking we have money for these players then anyone we sell if any will be added in for transfers near the end on the window or in January
People have said money will be kept to pay people off but what's the point in that if they have 2 years at x amount a week to pay them off wee need to give them the full wage for 2 years at once
What's the point in that we can send them out on loan get them in the window or keep them and pay them there wage for 2 year in case injurys is that not better than giving them there full money at once witch would cost 100s of thousands per player

Paterson would be a great signing but at this stage in his recovery from an injury doubt if he would pass the medical. It could be a gamble worth taking and move Tav into midfield.

Cjmacc. There was plenty rumours flying bout that DK didn't trust MW with money. Early indications would suggest this to be true. Iv questioned Dk's commitment but he is putting his money where his mouth is now. It's been a great week with these new signings and certainly a few more in the way.

The stipulation is that out of a squad of 25 4 have to be home grown at club and another 4 have to be home grown in Scotland. Home grown means being with us or another Scottish club between the ages of 15 and 21. If you don't have the required 8 players then you have to leave a blank spot for each missing one. Also players under 21 who have been at the club for 3 or more years don't need to be registered to play.

I live not too far from aberdeen. keith and it's a horrible mix of sheep, stinky one's and the fantastic bears. Have had years of abuse from both sides. People are glad that aberdeen seem to be imploding but realistically for scottish football and our own case for taking the title back we also need other scottish teams to improve, take points off that lot. Maybe its just me though.

STV reporting Pena arrived in Glasgow and is set to sign. If this deal goes through I must say I'm delighted with the first 3 signings made. Hopefully they continue the way they're going and we'll be a different animal next season. Onwards and upwards Bears.

Agree, like the signings so far considering where we have come from. My biggest problem last year apart from generally being crap was the way we were bossed and shoved off the ball. Alves, Pena look like beasts who can put themselves about and I for one won't mind seeing someone in a blue jersey decking a few numpties ( you know who they are) and Jack is a solid grafter. Looking forward .

He was talking to the press and why would he highlight how much Rangers had to spend? As soon as you do that, other clubs knowing we have cash, will increase their fees. You can't negotiate by giving all of your financial info away. Take everything with a pinch of salt until it becomes reality and is announced by the club.
