After seeing the fixture dates for the revamped league cup ill be phoning the ticket office tomorrow to cancel my CCCS for away games and home cup games. Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday fixtures in the middle of July is an absolute joke for anyone who works week days. I get that this is the way it's always been done in terms of the CCCS but paying for tickets for games that people can't make it to and unlikely to sell tickets for these games means I'm surely not the only one planning on cancelling?

03 Jun 2016 09:27:33
Just mind when there's a ballot for a game you want to go to (Celtic, final ect) and you don't get a ticket don't start complaining. The whole purpose is to get a ticket EVERY game regardless, We can't help that BT want to pay us to watch, your tickets for every game you knew it was revamped and the starting month (July) was announced well in advanced spouting anti-rangers nonsense about cancelling tickets on a rangers forum is just completely dumb we should be giving every penny we can with Ashley's grip and the need to challenge Celtic.

03 Jun 2016 10:42:13
I wouldn't be over bothered if it was just home games but I refuse to pay Β£80 plus in the space of a week for games that I'm unlikely to get to.

Yes we knew it would be revamped but did anyone know it was going to played over the course of a week mainly on week nights at the end of the fair fortnight when everyone is on holiday?

It's hardly anti rangers nonsense. I've been a season ticket holder for over 15 years and at least 10 of them I've been on the CCCS so I'm entitled to my opinion and my opinion is paying out that sum of money in the space of a week for 4 games I can't make it to is a joke.

02 Jun 2016 20:19:31
Regarding my post earlier i should of stated it was stokes who i meant was slow. Sorry for confusion.

02 Jun 2016 22:53:03
Bullet1

Actually when u read the original post it does say that Stokes is slow.

02 Jun 2016 19:15:07
Just like to ask Rangers supporters if Sone Aluko would be a good addition to our team? He has been released by Hull, so would be a free. Wages could be a problem though . He is a good player .

02 Jun 2016 20:30:21
would like to see him back thought he was a class wee player.

02 Jun 2016 20:38:45
Hes going to birmingham.

03 Jun 2016 10:55:42
Birmingham bound the boy still doesn't like us he tried to sue us remember he would have been great though i'm sure he is on 30 plus grand a week.

03 Jun 2016 20:35:41
Would have sone aluko back at rangers in a heartbeat, fantastic wee player with a tremendous turn of pace and is very skillful, goes past opponents with ease, also can score goals, just to note also that aluko actually paid for his own development transfer fee that the sheep were entitled to just to sign for rangers, around 100k I believe, he'd be a brilliant signing for us! Hope it happens!

02 Jun 2016 17:11:09
I for 1 Would like to see a new right bk signed. tav has been good but for every goal he's scored this season he's been culpable for many more. stokes toar him a new wan in cup final and he's slower than a week in the jail. any views fellow bears.?

02 Jun 2016 18:49:12
slower than a week in jail? are you sure you have seen him play?

02 Jun 2016 19:45:02
Wouldn't say he was slow however he is very poor at full back and was taken apart in the cup final.

02 Jun 2016 19:57:22
There is no way he cost us 15 goals, and he is not slow either.

02 Jun 2016 19:58:53
Slower than a week in the jail when he's tracking back maybe. fast going forward tho. I'd get a new right back and use Tav as a right winger along with the rest of our attacking options. His defensive ability is lacking unfortunately.

02 Jun 2016 20:04:31
Maybe bullet1 was in jail and hasn't seen tavernier play! I thought he was excellent in semi final at rb. The whole team was poor in the finalienable.

02 Jun 2016 20:32:33
I would defo get a new right back as he's definitely not a defender and I also would use him as a right winger. he scores a lot of goals and sets a good few up.

02 Jun 2016 21:27:59
I'm not his biggest fan but let's give him a chance in the spl. Hopefully Warburton can improve him.

02 Jun 2016 22:31:17
We would have gave our left testicle to have players the calibre of tav 2 seasons ago! He was by far and away our best player for the first few months of the last campaign, yes he can b suspect at times at the back when caught forward but if he was a great defender as well as having his attacking attributes he would certainly not be playing in Scottish football.

03 Jun 2016 06:27:24
As pointed out earlier he got injured in the final and couldn't turn on his left foot, hense Stokes played on it. The guy is an attacking fullback and not a right winger. Last season in the championship he played great for us. Is there better right backs out there? Yes. Would they have done any better for our team than Tavs last season? Doubt it. Is he an improvement on Foster, Macgregor, Parelta, Crawford and Aird? These are the guys that played right back over the last few seasons before Tavs. I think we should cut Tavs a bit of slack.

03 Jun 2016 08:01:58
Here here Dunbar blue! We're all too quick to fire criticism after 1 or 2 bad performances. The guy is a rb definitely not a winger, we have wingers that play on the wing already.

03 Jun 2016 08:32:36
If we had a quality centre back and a defensive midfield player / holding midfield player of Barton's class then I don't believe we would have lost anything like the number of goals we conceded.

Tav and Wallace are wing backs. They need cover when they go on the attack. That did't happen in many games last season.

03 Jun 2016 10:07:49
Totally agree with that assessment tom.

03 Jun 2016 11:02:36
to say he is slow, you must be a bit slow in the head mate! the guy is never a winger and a really good rb with tons more potential. if we had any decent centre back we wouldn't have conceded anything like that of last season!

we do need cover for him and Wallace but no replacements he will be the best rb in the spl by a country mile next season for me he was our player of the year and only had 3 bad games to my rocolection!

03 Jun 2016 11:19:16
I agree as well Scotty. Well summed up.
MW knew he needed to get a CDM in to cover the attacking FB's, that's why he tried to sign Eustace. By the time that fell through I think he decided it was better to buy MOH before anyone else got him and risk it going with Ball/ Halliday. It would have worked had Ball not got suspended in my opinion. Let's wait and see how we line up next year before writing Tav off. I think once we have a better CB and CDM to cover in there Wallace and Tav will be priceless in breaking teams down that are sitting deep.
I also agree with Bomber in today's paper though, the Europa league would have killed our title chances this year so the Hibs loss could be a blessing in disguise.

03 Jun 2016 19:55:26
He's not the strongest defensively but I wouldn't say he was slow. People forget there is a reason we picked him up for nothing from Wigan.

04 Jun 2016 00:41:32
I would actually try him as cf. What do you guys think. Watching him some times when the ball is with the wingers he is always around the penalty spot or six yard box like a cf. I think he could do a job there he knows where the goals are and his instincts in the box are good just watch his movement in there.

02 Jun 2016 16:46:14
Anyone else think Derek Mcinnes should ditch the sheep and have a crack at Scotland job? Thoughts?

02 Jun 2016 17:36:41
Rtid1995 one things for sure he could not be worst than strachen, imho.

02 Jun 2016 18:24:40
who in their right mind wants to manage Scotland? at least with the sheep there is a little credit. imagine having to pick players like brown, mulgrew, cummings.

02 Jun 2016 19:33:40
Or u could bin brown and mulgrew, pick players of better quality and maybe even qualify.

02 Jun 2016 19:46:48
Don't think there are any Scots he could pick that would make us qualify. I fully expect us to be 3rd or 4th in the group and Strachan going. Then there will be the usual soul searching articles about why we don't produce any world class players anymore.

03 Jun 2016 07:25:46
He continuously leaves out better players rhodes, phillips, Wallace, and then expects them to come play in meaningless friendlies and then goes back to picking his pals.

03 Jun 2016 08:36:04
When you look at the quality Scotland sides of the past you realise how poor the Scottish game is just now. Mind you that could be said of England as well. Every team needs a talisman, Scotland hasn't had one for years! Wales right now is probably the best of the home International Teams but that is primarily thanks to Bale and Northern Ireland has their manager to thank for bringing together a mediocre bunch of layers and getting them to play together as a decent quality team.

03 Jun 2016 20:53:20
I think we should have got George graham in for the Scotland jo but seems more apparent when you see the way Strachan conducts himself on TV he has started to show that attitude that he had at celtic I will always remember that post match interview when he started eating an apple and giving wide answers that's OK when your team us doing well and you are tired of the media but when it's not going well and it's your fans wanting answers not some annoying TV presenter then you are pissing off the ones that you are doing it for let's face it rangers could win any trophy in the world and that wee rat wouldn't even consider them get him out and get in someone with clasd.

02 Jun 2016 16:45:37
All this chat about new kits and strips got me thinking. I remember when I was younger the launch day of a new kit was like Christmas! I was buzzing for weeks about it then when the day finally came My dad would buy me it and I'd wear it for weeks on end!
Feels like the whole MA scenario has ruined this, time for Dave King to step up and tell us what's going out. That mob across the city will have a new kit soon and I don't want to see new C****c tops without the new bears kit to balance it out.
Also got me thinking about kits from the past, my fa.

02 Jun 2016 16:53:54
My favourite was the 92 - 94 McEwans Lager home kit with the 3 stripes coming over the shoulder. Reminds me of big Dave McPherson!

02 Jun 2016 19:34:32
Like my profile picture.

02 Jun 2016 20:14:30
That's the one Albertz! Both home and away kits were beauts! Also the kit Gazza scored his hat trick against Aberdeen at Ibrox for 8IAR was a personal favourite.

03 Jun 2016 11:07:01
the new celtic strip is alrady out and has always been released before ours but I do miss the tops going on sale and the cue out the door then waiting to see a new favourite signing to get his name printed on the top.

03 Jun 2016 19:26:53
Mine too, I had McCoist 9 on the back, I wore it for weeks, even to bed lol, my mum had to tear it off me to get it washed, ah those were the days, not a care in the world.

02 Jun 2016 16:01:25
I'm curious about the strips too, it's hard to understand why Cashley still owns a part of Gers when his other club has been relegated!
Thank you πŸ”΄βšͺοΈπŸ”΅.

02 Jun 2016 16:05:21
he's allowed to own the shares, just not allowed to have a commercial interest, hence King terminating the contracts. There's little Ashley can do without breaching the commercial interests rule.

02 Jun 2016 13:31:39
With Barton, Rossiter, Crooks Murdoch, Thompson all competing for the DM role and with the rumours of the Ugandan lad and possibly big Dom returning, who thinks the magic hat is going to tweak and play two sitting players? I know he maintains the style won't change but harsh lessons were learnt towards the end of the season!

02 Jun 2016 14:21:50
Murdoch won't be near the first team. Crooks is a very versatile player who can play in many different positions. Rossiter is far to weak and small to play as a DM in Scottish football. Thompson is still learning, he'll be on the bench most games. the Ugandan boy however is a Centre-mid, he doesn't like playing as a defensive mid, he feels restricted in that position.

02 Jun 2016 15:03:42
How can you say rossiter is to weak for our game.? He was wanted by some big clubs down south. People are never happy.

02 Jun 2016 15:03:42
How can you say rossiter is to weak for our game.? He was wanted by some big clubs down south. People are never happy.

02 Jun 2016 15:20:37
I never said he is too weak for our game, I said he was too weak to play as a defensive Midfielder in Scotland, meaning I think he'll be used as a Centre Mid, the position he actually plans in.

02 Jun 2016 15:32:13
He's what the Italians call a regista, a holding playmaker, and sits in front of the centre backs. Maybe it's a different role but same geographical position on the pitch so I think this counts as a DM. Either way, they can't all play and Rossiter hasn't signed on Β£10k a week to sit on the bench. That's a certainty!

02 Jun 2016 16:05:13
Murdoch and Thompson won't be near the starting 11 and we have no idea yet where Crooks will play. so taking another midfielder isn't bad in my eyes. Aucho looks good and is very much like Wanyama, which can't be bad at all.

02 Jun 2016 20:25:07
Rossiter will do well in Scotland. In reality he would have done a job for an English Premier League side and we can count ourselves lucky to have signed him.

As long as he stays fit he will do a job.

I still don't understand Liverpool letting him go but I am pleased that they did.

02 Jun 2016 12:39:53
Tell you what, that khalid aucho looks some player. hope we get him.

02 Jun 2016 17:25:57
How can you possibly tell that with the level he playing at, its a stab in the dark with a player like that.

02 Jun 2016 11:30:28
Sone Aluko contract up. possibility of him coming back to Rangers. peoples thoughts?

02 Jun 2016 12:28:18
why is it a possibility?
have RFC said they are interested?
has Aluko said he wants to come and pass on 20k per week in the championship?
I don't mind rumour and banter, but some of the stuff being posted about players, in the guise of 'rumour'is bullocks!

02 Jun 2016 14:30:30
This is the banter page if the chat upsets you stick to the RUMOURS page and chill out!

02 Jun 2016 15:06:37
bil72 that time of the month again mate? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

02 Jun 2016 15:06:37
bil72 that time of the month again mate? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

02 Jun 2016 10:49:17
As MW stated he wanted permanent arrivals signed before pre-season which starts in 2 weeks! Looking likely now that most of our business may be loans, slightly concerning that we have not reinforced the defense or got a decent GK in. As it stands we are even lighter than last year, not trying to be a pessimist but persoanlly I really don't want loan players for these positions!

02 Jun 2016 11:15:15
The transfer window hasn't even opened! Give the manager time.

02 Jun 2016 12:42:18
Khalid Aucho has been bid for, say the Kenyan team.

02 Jun 2016 12:45:03
we aren't lighter than last year. Currently 3 players have left, shiels still to be confirmed. we have signed 4 players already. we are at the exact same position we were last year, but with better quality players. We have Aird coming back from Vancouver in the coming months (where he has apparently excelled at RB) so that gives us cover for Tav, or the potential to sell Aird. we have 2 weeks to go until pre-season, also I believe Warbs is still on holiday. let's see what happens from now until the window shuts to have a moan.

02 Jun 2016 13:22:34
Fair point only I'd forgotten about Windass and Crooks! It's not me calling time on it. Warburton was clear that he wanted permanent signings completed by the 14th and at this rate it's not looking too promising, DM excluded, why we need a third new one I'm also not sure about!

02 Jun 2016 13:33:20
Warburton is on holiday at the moment. I very much doubt that signings haven't been lined up to sign, when for when he returns. We're ahead of the game. Wait and see.

02 Jun 2016 13:35:48
Correction: fourth new one!

02 Jun 2016 14:31:01
Wonder what the hold up is with regard to Shiels? Hopefully he goes as he contributes nothing to the team.

02 Jun 2016 11:10:44
Transfer window has just opened give it a chance haha.

02 Jun 2016 20:30:18
Onlyshowaround Aird is on loan until December mate.

02 Jun 2016 10:40:43
See her on still game πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ mer chance shed end up on the game if she cane here πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

02 Jun 2016 10:28:38
Hi Bears. Can anyone help with a phone number for the Rangers Supporters Club Trust and Iain Paton, the secretary? I've sent three emails to the secretary without response as I wish to speak about my shares. Poor way to treat fans who invested their own money last year. If you can help I'd be grateful!

02 Jun 2016 09:36:52
Huddlestone and Amhed Elmohamady have been offered new contracts at Hull but Aluko has been told for definite to find a new club. Get the wee man back up north!

Source, Hull Daily Mail.

02 Jun 2016 10:33:56
Sone Aluko has just been released by Hull City.

02 Jun 2016 00:04:09
Rangers in for kolo toure.

02 Jun 2016 11:34:09
Let's hope not, so much for bringing in young promising players to make good profit on.

02 Jun 2016 12:24:35
We have a young team and need experience as well or the balance won't work so I am all for toure sighing.

02 Jun 2016 12:48:10
My head hurts at that comment Cuillin72, the vast majority of our players are young players.

02 Jun 2016 14:52:22
You must be mad Cullin, you would honestly turn your nose up at the signing of Toure? There can be no other defender out there that we could possibly sign within our budget that would be better for us NOW than Toure. He is still a top class player today and could easily play on until his 40's just like Weir did for us at the rate he is currently playing at.

I would be ecstatic if we got him, he was part of probably one of my favourite teams of all time in the invincible gunners line up of 2004. Not to mention he is a top guy into the bargain!

02 Jun 2016 15:44:12
Well, if fans are happy to pay massive wages to the likes of Toure, we know what road we are heading down. Admin again. I don't question his quality, he will just cost too much. Where is the money coming from to pay his wages?

02 Jun 2016 15:19:47
You'll win nothin with kids.
