Got to say i'm very impressed with Mark Warburton, he speaks well, and what his vision is, that is exactly what we want, I think he fits the bill, he has a long term plan, using good youth and excellent coaching, we have lacked coaching since Paul Le Guen left. Fingers crossed Mr King and the board were impressed, if we don't act quick we will lose out to another club. We need him in as soon as possible to start the project of getting Rangers back to the top.

Dundee have signed 24 year old Spanish defender Julen Etxabeguren Leanizbarrutia on a three-year deal who was a transfer target for Rangers.

When was he a Rangers target? And what manager was targeting him? Got to get warburton and weir for me, did you see Brentfords football last season? That's what you call a fresh start! Hope someone uses their loaf and get this guy! Lol

"When was he a Rangers target?"
The S*n, 29th May 2015.
I might not believe the source myself, but it was reported.

We need a manager in yesterday. Decent out of contract players who are affordable aren't going to be available for long. Anybody agree?

Agree5 Disagree1

02 Jun 2015 18:32:26
if he was so good why did brentford let him go when they did if he was that good long before end of season

Agree2 Disagree5

02 Jun 2015 18:58:57
i also heard him being discussed on talksport about 3 weeks ago and the views on him were not the greatest

Look into why he left big wull! It certainly wasn't because of poor performance on the park! They went from possible automatic promotion to just making play offs when it was confirmed he was leaving, players were devastated.

I would also wonder why no teams in England seemed very interested like Watford, derby or Newcastle?

Agree2 Disagree4

02 Jun 2015 21:29:36
They will be interested, don't worry aboot that.If he comes to Ibrox I'll eat ma ear wax!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2015 22:23:11
Well gkk both derby and Watford have recently replaced their managers and he wasn't even interviewed for either job , surprising given what he achieved at Brentford.

So what are you inferring, Fab? Don't remember any reports about Delia's agent's phone glowing red hot when he was being touted across Europe. That's not to say I think he's a bad manager. I don't.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jun 2015 08:34:46
True Noddy but Delia had a job. I know nowt about Warburton but he was unemployed so if he is as good as made out then surely english clubs would have chased him down.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Jun 2015 08:40:53
Your right about dellia noddy but like I said Warburton had a great season in the championship with a very unfashionable team yet none of these teams seem remotely interested, so maybe there is something in what bigwull is saying ,I actually think it would be a good move , maybe without weir in tow you have tried the old player route many times now , I think a fresh start with a management team with no ties to the oldco would be a great move .

Agree2 Disagree1

03 Jun 2015 16:23:27
As long as they have ties to the club, not bothered if they had business interests with the 'company'.

02 Jun 2015 14:18:49
Hector Cupar who coached Valencial and totally destroyed us would be affordable but Cathro younger and more sensible for future with Advocaat or Arthur Numan overseeing as Tech Director, mind any player that was brought up in the Ajax/Dutch youth programmes knows how to set up a club properly from youth upwards

McInnes will I think be King target if he does not get Robinson or the Warburton/Weir team.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

02 Jun 2015 18:28:02
Don't think we could afford the compensation for McInnes

Aw cheers for that I have too also been considered in my taunts on your neverending journey in search of a Treble plus your attempt in coming season to get knocked out Europe 4 times.

Us?

I am GREATLY relieved we got humped

Why?

A lucky or "hard fought" victory and promotion MIGHT have allowed King and 3Bears to paper over the cracks of the disaster zone that is our - squad, youth development, scouting, stadium and the revamping of all contracts from kit to ground naming (why are we so short sighted on this I follow Baseball "Go Redsox" and every stadium is named after huge businesses - AT&T, Wriggleys Packard Bell etc, and it brings in good money we need to wise up on this Rangers AND Celtic)

The Celtic-free season we now have at least will allow some leeway for a rebuild and new style of play PRAYING for Cathro and a Magath style Director of Football like Southampton set up.

I honestly (no pettiness or sour grapes) am looking forward to the FIRST year since admin with No Ashley/cr**k Board, No McCoist and pals in management and no lumps of wood over paid and under interested in our squad.

If I am totally honest I want the model that Delilah is building at your team- euro healthy diet and 24hour athletes plus extra training sessions and treating players as adults not getting them to kick ball at your bare ar*e on trainng ground

We were never a worry remotely for Celtic and even Aberdeen and possibly Hearts this year HAD we gone up, NEXT season 2017 with TOTAL rethink and a progressive management in place we could actually be a concern , if you are honest you all know a young fit and skilled team full of youth players, Bosmans and EPL or Euro loanees can in the right coaching hands with Rangers finances rebuilt sensibly and COULD be back competing in 2017. IF King and co get their selection right. Ally the WORST ever selection (we all know Green did to con fans into Seasons and Shares purchases the blindfaith loved McCoist, just how culpable McCoist is in all this I am very suspicious of) the next one is most important EVER

KT ,got to agree if we had stumbled into th SPL it would have been cringe worthy and embarrassing.we should gather ourselves up dust down the cobwebs and rebuild for next season ,up till now it has been a joke outfit.

Agree2 Disagree2

03 Jun 2015 01:47:48
True as imagine how many trouncings week in week out there would be. McCall's rangers let in the same amount of goals Celtic conceded all season in the SPL V Professional Teams.

A goodbye to the released players, I would imagine for some it is a huge disappointment, you had a chance at a great club, some never showed up this season, hence another year in the 2nd tier.We must move on, no more old boys topping up their pensions, we want hungry, young and ambitious players, and a manager who has the courage to impose his style on the club, we as fans have to be patient, let us build, and walk before we run.Rangers is more than a club, its our life.Upwards and onwards.

Tell that to DK . His silence is devastating & he didn't even turn up to rfc's most important game. Maybe he was grovelling on the phone to MA afterall he is the main creditor who could call in the receivers anytime as his first tranche with interest is overdue. Rangers have no credit line from any bank & losing money at an alarming rate.Where's the transparency!!!

If only Nicky law could go to lol!

Hi Cee

Has this been confirmed? I haven't seen it reported anywhere else?

Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2015 18:31:06
How can you say Templeton and Law will be released when we don't have a manager? That will be their decision and they might not want to sell them. For what it's worth I would keep Templeton and try and get rid of Law

Agree0 Disagree2

02 Jun 2015 19:59:13
I agree. I don't think Templeton ' s had a fair crack tbh. He needs a run of games to build confidence. Maybe a change of management and teammates will make the difference.
