Would like to see the board offer Gerrard a new deal, only got a years left after this season to lose him at the end of his contract would be criminal.

02 Jul 2019 23:18:30
Boab sg signed four year deal.

03 Jul 2019 00:00:21
Did Stevo not sign for 4 years.

02 Jul 2019 22:42:45
Would anyone take Garry Cahill or is he done.

03 Jul 2019 00:04:52
Always rated him. A no brainer imo.

03 Jul 2019 00:17:05
Nope I wouldn't.

03 Jul 2019 01:00:20
Definitely still got it, would be an amazing signing. Doubt it would happen though apparently Juve were interested in his services.

03 Jul 2019 01:12:20
too much money and wants to stay south with conte also showing interest.

03 Jul 2019 11:11:52
I always thought he was a bombscare to be honest.

03 Jul 2019 11:25:52
Would rather Cahill than Skrtel. Cahill would be great up here IMO.

05 Jul 2019 02:37:33
Rather Cahill than Skrtel? Lol.

02 Jul 2019 21:58:29
Just watched the women's semi final and can't figure out why the penalty wasn't retaken? How was what the American goalie did by stepping forward a foot before the ball was struck any different from what the Scotland goalie did? Where is the fairnesd?

03 Jul 2019 00:16:39
Think they have to keep one foot on the line .

03 Jul 2019 07:56:58
I thougjt the Scotland goalie did that as well? Maybe not. Didn't look to be any real diffetence in the two.

03 Jul 2019 10:36:10
They have to keep both feet on line up until the ball is struck. If not straight yellow and retake.

03 Jul 2019 13:07:09
Thanks Gdog10. Then the yank goalie should have been carded and a retake given as well. I can't say I'm really that bothered tbh but just felt sorry for the Scotland goalie making a great double save only to get booked and to face another pen. I didn't see any difference between the two pens. How is this fair?

03 Jul 2019 14:49:01
They changed rule on pens after Scotland game now its 1 foot on line when ball struck before Scotland game it was 2 feet on line, booking does not apply in penshootouts for obv reasons lol.

03 Jul 2019 18:56:05
Only needs one foot on line per the new rules mate.

02 Jul 2019 21:44:11
Looks like a strong possibility we could be playing our first leg in the europa league qualifier against st. joseph's over in gibraltar a week tonight. So i'd imagine stevie G will start the team he has in mind for our europa league game, against oxford utd in our friendly on sunday.

03 Jul 2019 06:57:24
If they game is to be played possibly on Tuesday i very much doubt he will start the team that will play 2 days later.

02 Jul 2019 20:21:12
Sturridge is not good enough for Rangers lol. there's only one thing more idiotic than thinking he will sign and that's thinking he isn't good enough. Come on, that can't be serious?

02 Jul 2019 21:06:16
lol c of ibrox couldn't agree more aparantly not good enough because he can't get a game for the champions of europe.

02 Jul 2019 22:08:10
Obviously he's good enough and obviously he's never in a million years coming up here. Even if bu some miracle he did sign it would be a disaster due to him being made of glass and the SPL full of hatchet men.

02 Jul 2019 18:58:17
In a place called gibralter well known as the rock.

02 Jul 2019 15:24:23
If we're talking silly season here with names like Sturridge getting thrown about, I'd take Arnautovic all day.

02 Jul 2019 16:51:02
I've heard Ronaldo is pissed off at Juve and fancies a wee couple of seasons with The Famous. Imagine the meltdown! Ach he's finished anyway, no worried in the slightest.

02 Jul 2019 17:06:09
luv it Seeker!

02 Jul 2019 14:49:21
Just read an extremely honest and dignified interview with Lee Wallace about his last couple of years at out club. Said he was given a fair crack of the whip by Gerard and loved working under him.

I'm not sure if we will ever find out exactly what happened or what the problem was either. but he was a rangers captain and cleared by an independent tribunal.

The current board have done a lot of good but the way they have handled this whole thing leaves a horrible taste. Has a rangers captain ever been treated so poorly?

I'm sure he will be solid as ever down at Q. P. R and good luck to him.

02 Jul 2019 16:20:54
Don't forget he was drawing over 10k a week while sitting on his backside.
Only mistake the board made was not getting shot of him at the same time as moaning miller.

02 Jul 2019 16:29:56
And don’t forget slim Jim that he stayed at a time when everyone else jumped ship to make more money than that each week. Some folk have short memories.

02 Jul 2019 16:39:40
Blue, he stayed because nobody would give him the same wage that he was on.

02 Jul 2019 17:14:58
He stayed because he was a true Rangers captain and how could the board get rid of him slim? Are you saying he should have been sacked?
lee Wallace done nothing wrong at Rangers and I wish him all the best and hope he rips it up at QPR.

02 Jul 2019 18:03:16
I agree with you 100% slim Jim don’t know why some fans think he stayed for the cause it was because he was getting paid a great wage and not guarantee of getting that elsewhere in my opinion.
He was vastly overrated IMO.

02 Jul 2019 18:19:49
Warburton won't see passed xmas with his signings. Fans will turn very quickly on him. Dom ball in 2day. Hopefully he comes in for dorrans or rossiter get them off wage bill.

02 Jul 2019 18:06:53
Slim jim, lee wallace stayed because he wanted to remain loyal as he grew to love our club. Not like the rats that kidded on they loved rangers.
Worth noting the full facts slim jim, before spouting pal. Lee wallace could have signed for nottingham forest for more money, but wanted to remain with us. He also knocked back ipswich town. So i for one wish waldo all the very best of luck with QPR!
He'll always be welcome back at ibrox.

02 Jul 2019 19:05:26
Steven Gerrard loyal, he stayed as he was very well paid.

02 Jul 2019 19:28:20
He stayed because his girlfriend was pregnant and didn't want to move down South. The only club who could continue to pay the same money in Scotland were Celtic and I hardly think he was going to move there just to play in the SPL. So spare me ' he loved Rangers'. Other factors were at play at the time. Now I'm not saying he didn't grow to love us - but he was not BORN a Ger.

02 Jul 2019 19:40:22
Cooper, you still spout single fish with your "facts"
Where are the facts he would get more money at forrest or ipswich. ?

What is fact is that he drew £10k + a week sitting on his thumb. He knew he was not going to be playing and could have left and went elsewhere. He stayed purely for the money, nothing to do with loyalty.

02 Jul 2019 20:08:50
It was common knowledge that he knocked back forest's approach to sign him. Honestly do you guys know anything about our club. Do you actually go to the 'brox to see the famous?

02 Jul 2019 20:39:46
Cooper, most of us don't make things up and get all uptight when you get called out.

You said for more money. Where are the facts/ proof. As usual you just open your gob.

02 Jul 2019 21:02:39
I wish Wallace all the best, no I'll will but to just say "common knowledge" isn't evidence of anything coop mate. Gossip goes round the stadium all the time, a quick Google search shows nothing about Wallace turning them down. In fact it was the club that rejected a few bids as they were too low.

02 Jul 2019 21:51:45
Might as well get my bit in, as much as he was a great servant to our club he took us to the cleaners! Quite happy took his £10k every week playing against guys earning a few hundred.
He was contracted though so not his fault, but he stayed for the money! Then did the same again when he didn’t play for a year recently.

03 Jul 2019 04:30:43
He stayed because he loved the rangers he could’ve got more money elsewhere from div 3 when others where jumping ship for more money yous fudds are in a minority slagging him off. good luck to him.

03 Jul 2019 06:37:51
Here here Stewartyg65! The ones on here slagging waldo off, wouldn't know glasgow rangers from berwick rangers mate. The loudest shouters and continual negative criticisers are the ones who don't go to watch the famous. I see and hear this all time.

03 Jul 2019 06:59:46
Stewartyg, again he probably stayed in div3 because nobody else would have paid him over 10k a week. No point moving.

02 Jul 2019 11:45:58
About half way through last season I subbed to Rangers TV purely to watch the youngsters. Great to see some of the young lads making the Portugal training camp. Lewis Mayo was a rock in the youths defence, those of you bemoaning Bates departure, this lad is better and makes Bates look pedestrian. I know a lot on here are tipping McPake with just normal improvement he has to make the first team this year. That's like 2 new signings towards the end of this year and for me you just can't beat homegrown talent.

02 Jul 2019 13:40:35
I would love to see some of these young lads making the grade, hopefully they’re good enough and are giving the chance.

02 Jul 2019 13:48:25
I understand high hopes for mccrorie Kelly mayo and mcpake to go all the way.

02 Jul 2019 10:50:05
I’m actually cringing at all the Daniel Sturridge comments on here, come on guys let’s get serious, we’re not even close to being in for him. All the ridiculous comments on this topic is only making us and our team a laughing stock. We’ll continue to sign young, hungry and most importantly fit players who will compliment our already impressive squad and as a result of this strategy we’ll be up there at the end of the season.

02 Jul 2019 11:46:49
Never mind the massive salary drop he'd face he's not good enough for Rangers. Since Suarez left Liverpool I have't seen him play a good game.

02 Jul 2019 11:53:08
Sir Rock Stewart, you would be better off staying away from this site after all its all about rumours! Go and rest in a dark room and 55 is on its way!

02 Jul 2019 12:00:44
Why are we a laughing stock? It’s a rumour and banter page. So what if people wish or dream? . You want a laughing stock you’re on the wrong page.

02 Jul 2019 12:14:21
It’s not banter when it’s taking the piss out of us, I’m happy staying on the page, I’d encourage the halfwits on this page to join the Celtic pages, it’ll suit them better.

02 Jul 2019 12:33:12
Heard Rangers are signing koulibaly from Napoli partner for katic.

02 Jul 2019 12:43:48
Kfraser to say he's not good enough is crazy. He would be our best striker. That is a fact. But what is also a fact is tht he would never drop 80-100k a week wage to play for us.

02 Jul 2019 13:03:32
Sir Rock, has she thrown you out or do you have a boil/ pimple on your arse? Lighten up and 55 will be with you!

02 Jul 2019 13:06:16
Paul86 what are his goal scoring stats the past 3 years? And Liverpool are a team that creates chances by the bucket load. Anyway I don't think I could handle his weird goal celebration and might find myself hoping he doesn't score!

02 Jul 2019 13:26:06
Not sure if it’s just the time of the month with you Yatley or if your just a little sensitive if general. I know exactly where 55 is thanks and we’ll get there without extracting the urine out of ourselves or empowering other people to do it for us.

02 Jul 2019 14:59:34
The only way we would get sturridge is if morelos left for big bucks. We won't have morelos defoe and sturridge. A huge chunck of the fee received for morelos would pay for sturridge's wages.

02 Jul 2019 15:32:54
He was injury free last season but am sure he can be excused not getting into liverpools starting 11. Esp the front 3 who have just won the european cup. But yeah the guy has talent and would walk into our team.

02 Jul 2019 15:38:11
Forget the fact that it’s nearly impossible to sign him, there is actually some folk on here turning there nose up and saying he is nowhere near good enough .

02 Jul 2019 16:47:38
Sharpshooter it's their nose and he isn't good enough. Let's all stop this ridiculous Sturridge stuff. I despair at some of the posters here. Been on the Celtic page a couple of times and they're all friendly, not us. No wonder the Rangers jersey is a hard one to wear.

02 Jul 2019 17:52:42
Not good enough wf planet are you on? My point was it’ll never happen anyway but wtf are some people on?

02 Jul 2019 17:56:47
All friendly? That idiot timalloy who is always on here was getting tore a new 1 over there the other day so don’t give me that patter. They were bordering on a meltdown until that £7m guy signed. A only went on to see what the general thought was about tierney leaving because I know his auld man.

02 Jul 2019 20:47:44
Aye Sturridge is a special talent and would rip it up in ths spl. Is it unrealistic to think he might come? Probably and as Coldo says the only way it might happen is if the club gets big bucks for Morelos.

02 Jul 2019 08:43:51
As unlikely as it is Sturridge will be up here it remarkable that there are posters on here don't want him?
Guys one of the most natural finishers of his generation says who? Our gaffer says so I think I'll go with his opinion, absolutely unbelievable
People saying they don't want him I truly hope he doesn't end up at the piggery.

02 Jul 2019 10:52:43
Sturridge is a different level to anyone we’ve had up here in a while (Defoe obv a bit older now) if he’s over the worst of his injury issues it’s a no Brainer even if he would sign a years deal I’d be delighted. Him n Fredo would be a dream partnership! Really hope Fredo stays one more year aswell!

02 Jul 2019 12:44:46
Even if he did sign. Our formation as with 90% of teams these days only play with 1 striker.

02 Jul 2019 18:02:24
R1 he doesn't have injury issues. That's missing the point entirely and you and your Sturridge pals need to catch a wake up. Firmino has kept him out of the team quite rightly and Sturridge looking pi. ed off on the bench.
When he does come on he contributes nothing. I accept that we're all entitled to opinions on this page and don't need abuse in return. Sturridge is not the answer.

02 Jul 2019 07:40:12
I know his name might spark a mixed response but Dean Windass spoke very well about our club on the Si Ferry Open Goal pod. I think some of our fans need to lay off him a bit. Anyway, something he said got me thinking. He was talking about the Rangers V Aberdeen game in the 8 in a row season when Gascoinge ran amok. He said when we were really struggling and he heard Richard Gough say to Gazza "Come on Gazza, turn this around for us". Then went on to describe how Gazza tore them a new Rsole and described his goals. I think we still lack that bit of class. Someone who can turn a game like that. We need that inspiration surrounded by graft!

02 Jul 2019 12:03:53
Getting a player like gazza in his prime was a work of genious from Walter Smith.

03 Jul 2019 01:07:03
Very few players nowadays can win games in their own, unfortunately they don’t make Gazza’s very often!
