The old paranoid lines are being dusted down and hung up over the fence. We have been out of it for years and it's been all about how good the Tims are/ WERE. All of a sudden, we hammer them and are sitting level with points at new year and the reality of our threat starts to kick in. Everyone from referees to Police Scotland has it in for them (operation stop the ten) . They can argue they don't fear us all they like but the old paranoia lines being shouted are proof if proof were ever needed.

02 Jan 2019 23:01:40
Correct, stevies army i have loads of celtic fans as pals and they are scared. Like u mentioned about the referees that's all they have been banging on about and i love it. Its normally me taking the ribbing not this time šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰.

03 Jan 2019 08:25:49
The poor mankys have had it there own way for all to long and our victory has made them sit up and panic and take a look around at who they can blame other than themselves. Be very interesting to see if broony jumps ship and signs with the Australian mob. The most important thing is that we stay grounded and rid ourselves of our own problems rather than concentrate on anyone else. One swallow doesnā€™t make a summer.

04 Jan 2019 13:41:00
I have a few workmates who support the mhanks, nearly all of them now admit anyone and their grannies could have managed celtic and would have still been in the dominant position they held since our relegation (not for much longer now says me) .

A couple of them are even convinced Brenda will do a runner end of next season in the pretence of a bigger challenge like Lennon did before him.

Is their panic for new signings in Jan window an indication of the real start to the TIMPLOSION? .

02 Jan 2019 19:59:09
Solanke chrystal palace deal off. not fit enough allegedly.

02 Jan 2019 20:03:00
Donā€™t want him up here. Want players ready to hit the ground running.

02 Jan 2019 19:16:51
Solanke to Rangers? Player has pulled out of a move to Palace over non guarantee of playing time.

02 Jan 2019 19:37:00
Carrying an injury into the medical at Palace.

02 Jan 2019 21:28:49
Not injured, nothing to do with playing time, Palace staff saw right away he was sadly lacking in fitness and would take weeks to get up to scratch. No use to us.

02 Jan 2019 18:29:03
please please please---no Charlie adam-.

02 Jan 2019 20:03:35
Midfield is probably the last position we need now that Davis is nearly done.

02 Jan 2019 23:17:27
Surely charlie adam isn't in the managers thoughts not unless he wants to slow it down in midfield lol.

03 Jan 2019 08:57:45
I could outpace him and i'm in my sixties.

03 Jan 2019 08:58:17
Unless it was running for a doughnut!

03 Jan 2019 12:17:47
I heard he came second in a two man race with a snail on valium.

02 Jan 2019 18:26:59
Happy New Year to all the bears on here, especially to you big Coop, you take some digs on here but keep coming back. More power to you.

03 Jan 2019 08:30:21
He takes plenty digs cause he thinks heā€™s the oracle of football knowledge! (Coops patter)

02 Jan 2019 17:17:32
I think we should try and sign ryan gauld on a 6 month loan deal from sporting lisbon. I think he could be the answer for our no.10 position. There would be no risk IMO, in bringing him in originally on a loan deal until the end of the season and if all goes well,
make the deal permanent, in the summer! He's a really good, young attacking midfielder. He would definitely improve our squad especially as we're looking for someone who can play in that area of our midfield.

02 Jan 2019 18:31:48
Coop, Remember he played against us in semi final at Ibrox a few years back and looked good but honestly donā€™t know much more about him. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

02 Jan 2019 19:08:38
Yately1,i've only seen him a few times on YouTube clips since he left dundee utd. He was a very good, skillful young player with dundee utd, so i think with his experiences in portugal, you would be getting an even better, young player with better technique.

02 Jan 2019 19:13:29
He's not exactly set the Heather alight over there. Another youngster who promises to be the next big thing and doesn't fulfill his potential. No thanks sure there must be someone better on the list.

02 Jan 2019 20:21:14
Ryan gauld is a good young player why lots of potential. If he had 'set the heather alight' he wouldn't be coming back to Scotland. He'd be in England or one of the other big leagues. One question though coop, I thought you wanted Dorrans to fill the number 10 slot?

02 Jan 2019 20:55:53
Why do I continually have to explain my posts to total nuggets? For the record i did say dorrans would be a potential no.10 for us, if we can keep him fit regularly! That doesn't stop us looking for another attacking midfielder (no.10). We need more than one for each position. We also can't take for granted that doza will come back and not be out injured again, although of course i do rate doza. Is that ok for you blueberry?

02 Jan 2019 21:36:17
Ryan Gauld is no longer a young prospect, he's 23, he has no scoring record whatsoever, and he has played about 30 games on loan in the past three seasons. He's catching nobody's eye except, it seems, the more gullible.

02 Jan 2019 22:29:54
Not a chance Ryan Gauld is coming to Rangers. This has now been touted on here for 3 transfer windows. Can we at least have some new fairy stories.

02 Jan 2019 23:42:41
Supercoop doing something that seems to come naturally for him. OVERREACTING to a simple enough question.

03 Jan 2019 01:09:48
For me i would like to see our club take a chance and sign the lad on loan with view of permanent deal lad looked good at united when he was there he would add energy and has skill to open up defences something we need in games.

03 Jan 2019 08:32:51
Supercooper11 the oracle of football branding people nuggets šŸ˜‚ Website GOBrubbish LOYAL.

03 Jan 2019 08:52:00
No overreaction blueberry pal! If you would read properly the post i done about graham dorrans, you would know what i said about the no.10 position, where doza is concerned! Your not yourself here blueberry, but try and understand and take posts in, before spouting absolute childish coos wallap, about he said this teacher, he said that teacher!

03 Jan 2019 08:53:00
Totally with, regarding ryan gauld,
craig8688!

03 Jan 2019 10:28:52
U act like a right fud on this at times coop. Name calling someone asking a perfectly reasonable question.

03 Jan 2019 11:26:02
Coop you constantly go overboard with your posts. You ask for peoples opinions, then go off on one when anyone disagrees or even asks a simple enough question. You can add as many! As you want, pal!

04 Jan 2019 01:32:02
No thanks from me if he was any good he would be playing a higher level than the Portugal second division and if your saying heā€™s as good as he is supercooper then surely he wouldā€™ve at least had a loan back in Scotland or to another league.

02 Jan 2019 12:26:49
Ed 033 happy new year and thanks for the tables you posted but you forgot

Supercoop's poll requests = 48,097,643.

{Ed033's Note - Thanks. Yes Supercoop is the poll champion.

02 Jan 2019 14:25:29
Ed033, glad to have you on board as Ed001 had a bad day yesterday and I think Rangers FC maybe is a bit too much for himšŸ˜šŸ˜œšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

02 Jan 2019 19:50:49
Ed33, welcome and Happy New Year. Whoā€™s yer team Ed?

{Ed033's Note - Happy New Year to you all. If people didn't know, i've been on board with all of these sites from the start (2001). There is a Rangers Ed, but they don't edit very often so i need to help out. My team is Liverpool, but i don't take it all as serious as other people.

02 Jan 2019 11:14:34
Just a thought bears- if we had to go for a winger what about that greg stewart?

02 Jan 2019 11:41:58
we cld do worse shagger

the ladā€™s decent in the final 1/ 3 - if our budgets tight due to the colombians still taking a big salary iā€™d get stewart in.

02 Jan 2019 13:14:15
I think this would be a shout and have mentioned it before.
He can play on Right, in the no.10 and up front. Great squad cover for not much cash!

02 Jan 2019 14:54:53
What Colombians would that be trev?

02 Jan 2019 15:40:16
Colombians, Mexicans, Hondurans, who cares bring them all on.

02 Jan 2019 18:33:19
We can get Greg Stewart on a pre contract so well worth a look at
Heā€™s been decent this season as well.

02 Jan 2019 11:08:42
Hi everyone, Happy New Year to all. Regarding the transfer window a few players I would like to see at Rangers . Alan Hutton would be a great addition at right back tough tall not scared very athletic. Greg Stewart very clever attacking midfielder, and surely Shankland is well worth a punt for all he would cost he's an out and out goal scorer. Enjoy the rest of the holidays everyone, c'mon us.

02 Jan 2019 12:02:44
Next two lge games Killie and Livi away. Two back to back games on artificial surface just hope we can get through them with two wins and no injuries.

02 Jan 2019 12:16:56
Yes Jaws and the unwashed have three home games in a row against St Mirren, Hamilton and St Johnstone. How did that happen, or is that a silly question?

02 Jan 2019 12:17:49
Agree Jaws, drop any points in these games and we undo all the good achieved by the Celtic result.

02 Jan 2019 12:52:21
DOIGER is that right that they've got 3 games at home? How was that allowed to happen?

02 Jan 2019 13:19:13
DOIGER

St Johnstone game was postponed due to cup final I think and that date was the next date for match.

02 Jan 2019 13:57:29
The St Johnstone game is their game in hand, scheduled on the next available date. Nothing to see here, folks.

02 Jan 2019 16:34:32
It happened because weā€™ve just played 2 away games and Uve had 2 at home! And the st Johnstone one is our game in hand! So aye doiger as usual from you, it was a silly question!

02 Jan 2019 10:18:58
With the Steven Davis signing happening (all going to plan) I think Gerrard should get a permanent deal done for Ryan Kent ASAP He has already said he would commit his future at Ibrox if Klopp was allow him to move heā€™s a fantastic young player I hear he still hasnā€™t let Lustig out his back pocket yet lol. I wouldnā€™t mind seeing a striker brought in. I love Alfredo but he needs more help canā€™t always rely on him for the goals. Laff for me just isnā€™t cutting it and either is that Grezda.

02 Jan 2019 13:13:22
Klopp has already stated after OF game Kent would be no more than squad player. Maybe this will push him towards us where he's guaranteed first team football?

02 Jan 2019 10:16:26
Hi looks like Davis is going to sign I think itā€™s a great bit of business but do you think his wages will be a problem.

02 Jan 2019 10:27:59
12k a week apparently. I think he if he could reward us with top performances and help us win trophies then no, no problem.

02 Jan 2019 08:47:35
Happy New year my fellow bears. What an end to the year and hopefully what a start if we manage to get steven Davis over the line.
Tried n trusted in EPL tried n trusted at international level and tried n trusted in the SPL. Yes he is getting on a bit in years however having watched his last 2 international games where he ran the show. I feel he will coast it up here. The other big plus is costing us hee haw in transfer fees.

Now for my second post which I recon will get it's fair share of disagrees but for me it's another no brainer

Mr Naismith. Now our beautiful loyal fans have welcomed and cheered Mo Johnstone when 24hrs prior to him signing was paraded at the dark side and was stating that there was only one club for him. Then we have our own Kenny Miller who scored against us for the dark side and ran to the fans kissing their badge and quoting this was the happiest he had been in his playing career so far. Then we have Pena that whipped his nose on our shorts and I'm sure if he lived up to his transfer fee would be welcomed back into the fold.

Now to Naismith who is very similar to the steven Davis situation playing wise tried and trusted at EPL tried n trusted at international level and is currently a stand out for this current hearts team with them only losing 3 times when his has played and being their top goal scorer. Now Heart r no great team so imagine how many goals he would get playing in a better team.

Yes I agree with most on here that he was very badly advised when he left our club and made some very stupid statements. However he is a bluenose and some would argue not a very good one but I'm all about second chances and he has already come out and stated that he would walk on hot coal to ibrox if he was given the chance.

I'm looking at it from a football point of view would cost us more or less hee haw and as I said tried n trusted. Now ask yourself this if Morelas gets injuried or suspended or is sold who would score and assist the most goals Lafferty or Naismith. I believe that if he signed he would run his guts out for the team and there is always the added bonus that uncleans fans hate him.

02 Jan 2019 09:55:06
Naismith is not coming back if Gerrard wanted him he would have signed him in the summer. He has been injured a lot already this season so why would we want an injury prone past his best forward?

02 Jan 2019 10:02:51
Good post Stewarty, but I agree with ArthurD,
if Stevie G had wanted him he would be at Ibrox now.

02 Jan 2019 12:44:03
Naismith would add significantly to the quality and knowhow of the squad much in the same manner as Davis will and McGregor has already proven this season. All 3 of them have experienced top class football and know exactly what it means to be a Ger and what it takes to succeed. Only downside is no resale value but should view as short term investment for next 18 months to secure SPL title.

02 Jan 2019 14:30:54
They all jumped ship, some think that its ok for davis because he got us a fee lol, davis got what was best for davis and fled and not one thought was giving about rangers. Davis would have left regardless. Same as mcgregor and lafferty. Now they all want to come back because we are on the rise again. Good rangers men eh. Anyway I couldn't care less, would naismith make us stronger? Yes he would. Good points stewarty about Mo and miller šŸ‘.

02 Jan 2019 14:31:20
Stewarty,

Your comments are well thought out and make a lot of scene. Davis is a great piece of business. Top top player IMO use him wisely and you will get two good seasons out of him. Regards to SN I would take a punt on him for a couple of reasons, he would cost very little and he will score goals.

Big Kyle has not set the heather on fire so far and Naismith is an in your face noise up type player just what we need. The big lad at the back for Celtic was horrific, anytime he was under pressure it was a joy to watch them booting the ball out the park and arguing with themselves. What we also need to remember is itā€™s about tactics and timing of substitutes Arfield was out on his feet for the last 20 min I would have liked to have see a replacement.

Having said that I trust SG and GM to get it correct as like most fans we donā€™t know all the facts and SG / GM know a hell of a lot better than I do. Ibrox was a beautiful site all decked out in the Royal colours. Itā€™s was also good that Celtic had very little verbal backing. We should be prepared for that shoe to be on the other foot when we go to there midden.

We should deploy the same in you face high press game as this has been proven to disrupt the passing game that they want to play. Can hide the facts and Rangers are making good progress the modern teams will consist of singings and some loan players we just need to get that balance correct.

02 Jan 2019 19:17:07
Kenny miller never kissed the celtic badge.

02 Jan 2019 08:11:52
Scott Brown has nick named Scott Arfield
ā€˜ Fagan ā€˜ because he picked his pocket all day last Saturday. Which is now history I know, but still worth a thought.

02 Jan 2019 08:43:15
This is a total unbiased comment that i have for years and will state again, regarding the very overrated,
hyped up scott brown. He's ok for scottish football and never been tested or for that matter wanted to be tested, at a much higher level. The reason being quite simple, he knows his limitations and scottish football is broony's limitations! He's looked very good recently as he has bullied a very mediocre rangers midfield, in the past. Well not anymore and its been proven when you have midfielders, who can stand up to this fake, he can't take it or handle it! Scotty arfield destroyed him in their midfield battle at ibrox on saturday, if you can call it a battle, because in all truth, it was really NO contest! Arfield bossed brown, from start to finish, it that will continue now, as we have a midfield unit, who won't give him time to pose about, thinking he's the hard man of scottish football! In truth he's as soft as putty, compared to other midfield hard men, of the scottish game! As well as arfield making brown look very average, both jack and mccrorie took it in turns also, to make brown look very average at best! His career is in decline and the media here hyped him up to be this wonderful midfielder, that he certainly wasn't! Circumstances helped brown look half good in scottish football! I actually know a good few celtic fans, who would agree with what i'm saying!

02 Jan 2019 09:39:12
Supercoop not many if any epl teams have ever wanted him that tells it own tale about how good he is! Rangers havenā€™t had a decent midfield since the last team Davis played in so he hasnā€™t been challenged much but the Scottish press treat him like heā€™s Keane and viera rolled into 1.

02 Jan 2019 10:40:14
Supercoop your spot on about broon. This is a guy who was allowed to pick and chose when he played for Scotland and there was not a thing said in the press. I've never bought into the hype over this guy.

02 Jan 2019 13:07:33
Brown is a coward. True champions would have seen the challenge that Arfield was putting up and responded. Instead he crapped it and didnā€™t know what to do.

02 Jan 2019 13:59:58
A whole thread about a past-it celtic nobody and we call them obsessed!

02 Jan 2019 14:52:30
Spot on supercoop, I have always had that opinion of Broon and not just because he plays for the others . He is the worst chancer in Scottish football.

I also think he is arrogant and a bully who gets let off with stuff on the park.

02 Jan 2019 19:18:54
Tbf he bullied our midfield the first game. Do agree he's way overrated tho, u could teach a monkey to run about kicking people, ability wise he's horrific.

02 Jan 2019 06:45:28
is Ovie Ejaria going to thr east end mob?

02 Jan 2019 16:40:48
What a load of rubbish most of players jumped ship Davis was only one who got transfer fee I ainā€™t going to hold that against him he got offered big money canā€™t and wonā€™t hold that against Davis at least he didnā€™t have press conference.

02 Jan 2019 04:00:14
Signing a 34 year old in Davis is not what I want my club to do, as for Jordan Jones, I'd rather we went for Indiana Jones as I've got no doubt out of the two it's Jordan that will be stealing a wage from us. We have Murphy and Dorrans to come back into the side and we are also forking out still on Rossiter imo he should be jettisoned from the club now. We have Grezda whom is yet to convince and be given a proper opportunity not to mention McCauley who is on a short term deal and the possibility of losing all 3 loan players wtf. With about 24M in debt it's likely that will increase in the summer to fund another transfer merry-go-round, can we really sustain this? Alfredo is off imo and we shouldn't accept anything less than 12M-13M.

02 Jan 2019 04:41:31
Forza! Where do I begin? Davis if signed will still tear it up here, the mans 34 not 64 behave yersel. this common theme on here is that he canā€™t cut it anymore is the ramblings of a mad man/ men that donā€™t have the slightest clue about football. champ man impostersšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚please retort! šŸ™ŒšŸ»šŸ˜‚.

02 Jan 2019 08:33:03
I watch all Northern Ireland matches and heā€™s still head and shoulders above any midfielder in the spl.

02 Jan 2019 09:37:46
Totally with you 36thulsterdivision.
Steven davis is head and shoulders above any other midfielder, in scottish football, even at the age of 34 now! Still a very fit, quality midfielder!

02 Jan 2019 10:48:26
This Steven Davis is finished chat is nonsense. I indicated months ago he would be rejoining and all I got was abuse about how he was finished and legs were gone . He could be the difference on us winning the league! - how many games especially away from home have we needed a player to keep a hold of the ball and dictate play, a player who can find a forward pass? . Davis is an outstanding free transfer . Another example of our manager being able to wheel and deal . We are so close to Celtic with a transfer squad spend of approx 5m. Add another striker and cover for arfield and we might have a fantastic 2019.

02 Jan 2019 10:57:35
Coop, Ryan Jack is by far the best midfielder in Scotlsh football followed by Calum Mcgregor.

02 Jan 2019 11:31:10
Some people on here deluded they see the age 34 yrs and automatically think legs gone finished Davis still got a few years left in him been playing at a higher level until recently. with no transfer fee got a bargain and what we need in midfield tofind killer pass. we havenā€™t to live within our means sure we can still pick up the odd gem by wheeling and dealing.

02 Jan 2019 14:55:47
Iā€™ve run a 3 hour marathon this year and Iā€™m 41 and not a full time athlete. I think Davis will be ok.

02 Jan 2019 19:21:57
Bankie and supercooper. Mcgregor and rogic are the 2 best midfielders in Scotland take the blue tinted specs off lads.

02 Jan 2019 00:32:01
Davis deal agreed. 1st fantastic piece of business of the window. Hopefully another few more to be added to push us over the line.

02 Jan 2019 13:04:47
Just seen on a sports channel that it might be a 6 month loan deal to start with, maybe the wage drop is just too much, and heā€™ll sign for free after loan period?

02 Jan 2019 14:30:06
It was just on BBC Ulster that Davis is at Ibrox talking transfer ( either loan or transfer ) if you look at it heā€™s out of contract in 6 months so it would be sensible on his part to sign on loan thus getting his Ā£60,000 per week for the loan period then signing under Rangers wage offer, but just to drop from Ā£60,000 when there is another scenario on offer is just plain stupid. Either way he is still signing.

02 Jan 2019 00:27:42
Davis apparently agreed 18 month contract on Ā£12k per week.

02 Jan 2019 08:48:24
Marco
Ā£12,000 a week? Try Ā£20,000, nearer the Mark.

02 Jan 2019 09:24:17
Ulsterman, Ā£20k a week for a 34 year old up in Scotland? Very much doubt it that he would be our highest paid player šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

02 Jan 2019 10:21:23
Yately
Iā€™m not guessing, I read in Rangers news that he was taking a massive cut in his Ā£60,000 a week pay package to sign for Rangers, but it would still put him up with the highest paid players at Ibrox, surely Morelos, Dorran, etc are on more than Ā£12,00 a week? I canā€™t see him signing for that really, can you?

02 Jan 2019 11:02:58
A lot of people are going on about him being 34, my goodness, thatā€™s a young fit man, but I think Ā£12,000 a week is a bit light, put your self in his shoes, if you were head hunted would you accept it, ? This guy has had other offers in England at far more and he said no to them.

02 Jan 2019 14:30:19
Donā€™t really his wage but agree Ulsterman we need Davis back and just hope he gets up to match fitnesses ASAP āœŒļøšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

02 Jan 2019 17:05:56
Yately I believe you and I are singing of the same hymn sheet, I love wee Davis for his drive and never say die attitude, if signed as you say he can only help the young guys at Ibrox, his experience must be of great value or Stevie G wouldnā€™t sign him, and the Ninaā€™s is heā€™s an ardent bluenose.

01 Jan 2019 23:52:12
Davis is on his way and could have a medical as early as tomorrow. Rumoured to have agreed an 18 month contract at Ā£5k a week before heading to out training camp in Tenerife.

02 Jan 2019 02:03:31
That's Ā£15k!
