I have to say what a great signing David Templeton has turned out to be and no doubt people will slate the level he is playing at but the guy proved it in the SPL and he is one of those players who get you on the edge of your seat and gets you excited

Another who can't take corners, him and black wasted them all today.
Agree16
Disagree11
I posted at number 1 ed and at a loss at how people can disagree, did they watch the corners today? {The Ed039's Note - Ignore the agree and disagree buttons mate, the corners in the second half that Templeton took were seriously overhit, maybe the conditions played their part but they set pieces in general at Rangers for a number of years have been poor. Last great set piece expert was Albertz)
Agree5
Disagree3
Totally agree with jorg ed, we also had Neil McCann taking great corners back then, we must get about 8 or 9 corners a game, set pieces are a huge part of the game nowadays.
Agree5
Disagree3
I think for the two goals he scored today and for his brilliant form for us so far we can excuse his accuracy from corners in what were terribly windy conditions this afternoon
Power Ranger

Power ranger, it was because of the conditions he scored his 1st goal, u can't have it both ways.
Agree2
Disagree2
Well said power ranger, guys being playing well, good form and a few goals and a fortunate goal today.
Agree2
Disagree1
Agree that he is an exciting player but he is possibly the most frustrating player in the team. He concedes possession far too much for my liking and it has to be irradicated from his play for us getting back into the SPL. Although he scored two goals yesterday his all round performance was very poor. Better teams would take advantage of his poor ball retention. Possession will be more important than the fancy flicks and tricks when we are back in the SPL.

Just seen Blacks tackle! Another early booking! Come on Ally sort this Guy out FFS! Ah know that he is first on the team Bus each week, but if you tackle like that then, another one like that.... He will first back on it.... {The Ed039's Note - He was lucky to stay on the park, it was high with studs showing and had a red been shown there could have been no complaints. This coming from the guy who this season has been complaining about "hatchet men" in SFL 3. It was a disgraceful challenge)

Not condoning Ian Blacks tackle but I do believe Rangers lack someone who is not afraid to get stuck in. Over the years we have always had someone who is not afraid to go in where it hurts. I do not think Black is the man to do this but I do believe that Rangers lack a "hard man".
As for Black himself I thought he had a better game today than he has had previously. It has been a learning process for all the players and fingers crossed it looks like they now fully understand life in the lower reaches of Scottish football. I'm still slightly disappointed that they do not look fitter or stronger than their part time opponents, I think that if some of these players were to add a few stone of muscle they would be better for it. Clearly this would not slow them down as you only need to look at rugby wingers for proof in that.
Iain {The Ed039's Note - Ian Black did have a better game today, but there is getting stuck in, and there is just being dirty and I thought that tackle was just plain dirty. Doesnt take a "hard man" to be a dirty player)

just finnished watching the game, first half rank rotten second slightly better, but 3 more points is what matters. in my opinion ian black should be no where near this rangers team. i watched him putting a tackle in on one of annan players and it was a very nasty, he moans about his treatment which in fairness has been harsh at times but he is a card from being sent off in every game.
any game iv seen when he is absent we look more of a threat going forward i cant see what he brings to the young lads learning there trade

Thing is all the the 3rd division teams when playing against gers treat the game as if its their hampden and give 100 % but just watch their follow up results, must say it think stirling albion are the dirtiest team in scottish football theres 2 kinds of football, hard and am gonna cripple you doug t.s.o {The Ed039's Note - Unless you play Queens Park Doug, and then it is their Hampden)

It doesn't matter to me what team they supported, it's better to have a passion in life than no passion at all.

Mrs E, GJ, Tam, Chrisbhoy, Shammy, and Jacko. I am sure the families involved will appreciate your kind words, I certainly do. I never met my uncle because of it and if my dad was not ill on the day and had gone to the game with his brother as usual I may never have been born (I was born just over a year later). It puts things clearly into perspective for me every time we visit his grave and highlights just how fragile life can be.

Bears what's your thoughts on Barry Ferguson coming back? I believe we can secure him on a precontract now. His deal is expiring in the summer. I think he would be a good influence on the team and would stroll this level of football right back to SPL.

Barry Ferguson isn't welcome in my book he walked out on us once just before a transfer window to go to the EPL, I never wanted him back after that, since then he has always been Barry Big Boots in my eyes and is just as bad as Naismith etc.Even Walter had a job at times to control his big head.

I truly hope he does come back hes a Rangers man and would give stability and leadership to the midfield my fingers are crossed.

If it means the end for Ian black then I welcome it.

I have the opposite feeling to @4. I believe we already have stability, and a strong personality like Ferguson, bit big headed after captaining club, may throw toys out of pram if not offered captaincy. He was a great player for us, lets remember him for that. Keep moving forward, more young guys coming in, we already have enough 'old sweats' in team already.
Agree11

3 - your one of the haters I used to hear at ibrox! BF sweat blood for the rangers cause and was forced out the 2nd time, we treated him badly 2nd time round. The guy is a legend

3] fergie did not walk he was kicked out for the money {The Ed039's Note - I dont mind Barry ferguson, some people have pointed out that he bleeds blue, we all know that, but to bring him back would be bad for the squad as it is, because Jig is now the leader and has done a good job, and bad for PR considering he was the biggest playing recipient of the EBT scheme, unless he paid for free in lieu of paying off his "loan")

8 - big jig and BF are very close friends, there would be issue

Could win div 3 in next month, mathematically..... but that assumes no admin (-10 or -30 pts)....
Also would this not cripple attendances for remainder, and undermine tv audiences for games... does any one want to want meaningless games ?
This could hit share prices....
Agree12
Disagree13
Lol,
how could it hit share price? Are you worried about the share price? if so get your money out now, while 20% profit. The share price should only be going in one direction- as long as club is on the up( and financial affairs are kept in check).
Remember, shares go up as well as down, only invest what you can afford to lose. Happy new year.
Agree8
Disagree2
Surely a promotion would benefit share prices?
Agree6

No1 - why might there be admin issues ? Do you know something ? {The Ed039's Note - Listen, Celtic supporters can harp on about administration all they want, it is not going to happen. The fans have turned out in numbers this year, there has been £22 million raised through a shair issue, how much does one think Rangers costs are as an SFL 3 side. It was quite funny, but it is actually boring now)
Agree4
Disagree3
If your referring to my post about why there might be admin issues then I have to declare "I am not now, nor have I ever been a Celtic supporter". Proud to be a Jag. {The Ed039's Note - I am not saying you arent a Jag OK, but it seems that every person who is accused of being a Celtic supporter here turns out to be a Partick Thistle fan lol)
