dont know if this means anything but it all over hibs site saying o'connor has said he is going to gers and the hearts site is saying templton coming to! lets hope they are right!

Believable1 Unbelievable5

You're having a laugh man....if O'Conner comes, i'll not be back....never, he hates gers, is p*** and his conduct off the field, without going into detail is deplorable...absolute 'ned' and that's polite

Rangers to buy Novo, Boyd,Ferguson, Prso, Hately, and any other player that done well for rangers. looking to the past will not improve the future, drop underachievers and replace with youth, rangers will sell jelavic through finance difficulties rather than choice, and his body language showed hes been away for weeks. Rangers have no money and will get a portion of the Jelavic transfer but not all- for obvious reasons, Rangers much like celtic will have to invest in youth and try get free transfers/lower league players and sell on for future profit, The SPL has been in decline for years as there is no money invested unlike our distant cousins down south. Rangers will bring in 3/4 players and the same will leave outright or on loan.

by far the best player on that pitch today was Wallace he is good with the ball at his feet good passer good movement good agility and good tackler and he is always good consistincey

although i thought aluko had a good game really good movement and skill on
the ball the only thing that annoys me about aluko though is he is a bit greedy see if he would just pass a we bit more when somebody is in a better position then him then that would be really good because he is a good player but if he worked a little bit better with passing that would make him an even better player

Why would we sign o'connor? He's a Celtic reject! If he ain't gd enough for them he ain't gd enough for us!
N I hope fleck doesn't go out on loan. He proved today he's better than Wilde n edu. N he can create chances

Believable2 Unbelievable1

John Hartson was a Rangers reject...look how that turned out! Why worry about Celtic, just concentrate on your own team!

Agree4 Disagree2

Are u sure he was a celtic reject`, when did he ever play for them? dont you mean rioden?

Agree1 Disagree1

You can't call John Hartson a Rangers reject because we decided not to risk the money after a failed medical.... That is just common sense!

Agree1 Disagree0

I for 1 don't want o'connor he's a celic fan threw and threw always will be

Agree1 Disagree0

Ergo, Rangers rejected Hartson.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jan 2012 23:31:55
this rumour about o'connor just wont go away same as the riorden one did hear we tryed to get him last year but who knows more to point whats the feeling of the gers fans could o'connor do a job for us?

Believable0 Unbelievable6

02 Jan 2012 23:54:14
Does anyone know were gers are going? It's been 10 years we have been in a state and worrying about money issues, will it ever get better?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

02 Jan 2012 23:51:22
jelavic will go for 8m and ally will get a cheep as been as replacement ... mr whyte will have that in his bank....ally got none of his top summer targets so dont hold your breath for January one's. loan's or free transfer's.mr whyte will do what he did in the summer offer 300k for a 5m player so he can say we are after player's noing fine well they will not sell for chicken feed

Believable2 Unbelievable2

02 Jan 2012 23:11:24
I am sitting here and i cant beleive what i am reading first McCoist has not a clue because he aint playing the young ones pure tearing ally to bits some posts were and now im reading the same but now because he is playing them? make your mind up can Ally do anything right for these certain fans?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Today super had no option....changes were forced upon him, simple really.

Agree2 Disagree3

02 Jan 2012 22:57:14
I said weeks ago on this site about John fleck having ability and needs a chance and I also said if we let him go it will be another Charlie Adam situation and I got slated for it,well fellow bears if use were at 2days game like I was I've been proven correct the wee man was excellent better than what edu Davis wylde McCulloch Lafferty and jelevic have been all season.a hope now ally puts his diffrences with fleck aside and give him the run of games he deserves.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

And sign healy on a 5 year deal as well.get a grip.

Agree2 Disagree2

Get real i watched it on gers tv, and fleck was wasting passes not releasing it early enough runs with his head down he can't tackle can't shoot he ain't good enough just cause we beat a well team that played poorly today does not make us brilliant, edu had a good game today davis was looking better, wallace was superb as was aluko, bartley did ok did'nt get forward enough proving he is not a rb, mcmillian came on and proved why he doesn't get in team he picked up a stupid booking when we were home and dry, so things r slowly going the right way but u r in cuckoo land if u think fleck is the attacking answer we need freshness *ksd*

Agree2 Disagree3

Agree fleck was outstanding the day - don't bother about the other idiot, he probably wasn't even at the game!

Jas

Agree2 Disagree2

Fleck "better than what edu Davis wylde McCulloch Lafferty and jelevic have been all season" haha Fleck was great but that comments just stupid

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jan 2012 22:14:05
does anyone here seriously think if rangers sell jelavic craig S*ite will give ally mccoist thre money to spend? no chance in hell that money will go in to the tax mans tin so dont wish him away lads.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

You mean Craig Whyte

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Jan 2012 21:28:12
WBA better give Jelavic a rigorous medical because he was left out of team today due to ankle injury, groin injury and knee injury. Dont be kidded he wont play again for us due to him leaving soon....................... I posted days ago 8m to WBA fact and Vernon coming in, just wait and see.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Aye very good. Vernon is the worst player mentioned yet. Yer talkin mince.

Agree4 Disagree0

02 Jan 2012 21:08:11
what a difference when you actually play fleck in his right position just behind the strikers and although im not his biggest fan healy played well . what a difference when we play the ball on the deck ...oh and when did celtic become world beaters ..yous are only 2 points behind ladies a long way to go yet so dont go out and buy yer silver polish just yet

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Mite be 2 points in front, but we where 15 points behind about 2 months ago, rangers were always gonna win by a few today, you,ll be back to your usual in the next few weeks,mc call to replace super when he gets the bullet.

Agree2 Disagree3

I think you'll find that the mighty Celts are 2 points ahead, ya moon unit! lol

Miko x

Agree1 Disagree1

Think u will find u were 2 points ahead with 4 games left last year and blew it.

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont forget the 2 games in hand youse had.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jan 2012 21:06:24
All is good again, we beat a poor Motherwell team and Fleck had his first decent game in 2 seasons so lets forget about the last 2months.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

02 Jan 2012 20:46:16
Unbelievable the poor attitude of some folk on here! Ally has the balls to change things and shake it up a bit and we win 3-0 with probably our best footballing performance in quite a few games and the response instead of being positive is full of guff about a poor Motherwell side (3rd place in SPL!) and other such input only worthy of Celtic supporters.
Comebacks have to start somewhere and hopefully now the players have to play for their place in the team instead of depending on automatic selection then we could be in for a good race for the title so at worst lets remain neutral and see what happens and not resort to calling for the managers head and barracking Craig Whyte! Whatever will be, will be and on todays performance it could be 4IAR!
Nicko 1872

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Balls 2 change it? Let's not kid ourselves, injuries changed it!

Agree7 Disagree1

Are you CW in disguise?

Agree3 Disagree2

What changes did he make that he wasn't forced into making. 2 changes from team that got beat off them. Goiania for captain kirk= obvious change and Healy for the injured jelavic. We'll see how his team play when he has got a big striker fit. Good result but ally has got a long way to go before I'm convinced

Jelavic has been good for Rangers, scored vital goals ,cup final etc,so good luck if and when he moves, its the way of the world,be decent fans and wish him well, remember, the fans in austria gave him a great send off,We are Rangers, get behind the team, manager, and the chairman, they support the team also.Bring on the next title, watp

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Agree mate, there is far to much negativity and its hindering not helping the club we support, imo you need to support the club through thick and thin.

Agree3 Disagree3

02 Jan 2012 20:40:38
was at the game today , thought it was a really good performance all round better passing , healy and fleck looked hungry and fought til the end which is what we need ,players who fight for every ball and who actually want to play for the gers w.a.t.p

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Fleck was great. Time to play now wee man. This boy can be the next star for us. People forget he is only 20, I think he will really show what he can do if given a run Of games

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Jan 2012 20:37:17
Total agree with the guy below John fleck looked totaly different today think we should maybe give this boy other chance

Also my signings would be

Driver
Oconner
The boy Allen from utd
And would like to see a creative midfielder good knows swanson quite good

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Allen not good enough for Dundee Utd not nearly good enough for us to make a impact

Agree7 Disagree1

02 Jan 2012 20:30:20
c all u fans who have all of a sudden turned on jelavic use r all a disgrace,,,only a wk ago he was a top class player,,but know that it looks likley hes leaving use all call him s**t and lazy,,,get a grip ya bunch a couch potatoes,,,a hope he stays now just 2 c wot use all say then,,,if he does use will all start brown nosein again,,,call urselfs fans use r a disgrace

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Were not a disgrace were worried our club is in a mess we need players who will bust a gut to get a result thats all we ask. fancy dans dont cut it in a team that needs to fight to win hence no wheely bin boyd

Agree7 Disagree0

Where the hell have you been the last 2mths when he hasn,t looked bothered? Yes he has been good for us but don,t you think thats whats most annoying knowing what he can do but can,t be arsed when things aren,t going your way. Can,t recall the likes of Hately,McCoist, Prso etc playing like that

Agree5 Disagree0

Correct me if im wrong pal....we as fans are entitled to an opinion?? jelavic is judged on his current form, which has been decent at best. he never showed up last wed at parkhead when we needed a talisman, someone to set the bar....he wasn't the only one but we paid 4 million for the guy n his lack of effort was a disgrace, not fans opinions of him. that one game in particular showed us rangers fans he doesn't want to be here....so cash in while we can. you know for all that was said about kenny miller, you couldn't find a more honest footballer. chased every ball, fought for the team and workrate second to none. would have him in my team before jelavic everyday of the week.
j1985

Agree5 Disagree1

Totally agree, the so called fans who were against Kenny Miller was a disgrace and i too would rather have him playing for the shirt EVERY game instead of someone pleasing himself when he plays. Far too much of that in our team this season.

Have it on good authority from 1 of his gfamily members that jamie murphy of motherwell will be our 1 sighning this window

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Hope not. Pass that on to his family. Not good enough.

Agree4 Disagree1

Your spelling is terrible lol, and Jamie Murphy is a Rangers fan who is young and can be impressive but I don't think he's ready to make a step up and can't be relied on to score goals yet, would be good to sign him as a left midfielder if anything.

Agree1 Disagree0

My son knows him well and hes not heard anything m8 thats not to say it wont happen, hope so good player. and a gers man.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well you guys are wrong im afraid m8 murphy deffo a celtic fan

Agree1 Disagree4

I'm afraid ur wrong he's a rangers fan

Agree1 Disagree0

Go and take a good look at yersel'. who cares swhat team he supports !! The boy is Rangers man, but NOT good enough to play for them.... simpes

Agree0 Disagree1

Well iam a rangers fan but what does it matter what team i support .footballs my job.

02 Jan 2012 19:48:44
thought our play today from the middle of the park to front was outstanding at times, with no big man up front we didn't have the option to play it long, probably john fleck's best game in 18 months ,is there any word of him going out on loan ..... Buff RIP66

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Doesn't look like he will be going now due to Lafferty's injury. Could be the break through he needs if he impresses like he did today.
GCUK

Agree4 Disagree1

Totally agree with you Buff. The build up play to Aluko's goal was great and the OG.
Looked much better cause we have not got a big target man to hoof the ball up to.

out - jelavic, couple of young boys on loan (fleck if we bring in players), broadfoot to bristol city

in - boyd, o'connor, riordan, sutter

Believable0 Unbelievable8

02 Jan 2012 19:25:19
If we bought O'Connor on the cheap and got Boyd in for free they would both score loads and could sell them on for a good fee!

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Both are free or cheap for a very good reaso. They are rotten and we'll make no money out of them whatsoever. I despair of some fans happy with junk like this.

Agree5 Disagree0

Spl top scorer and a scottish international, thats not junk.

Agree1 Disagree5

02 Jan 2012 19:13:44
Jelavic out, deek, boyd and o'connor in these 3 would score more than jelavic and we would make a healthy profit

Mcshagger
Bartley, goian, Boca, Wallace
Aluko, Davis, Hutton, deek
O' Connor, boyd

Believable1 Unbelievable7

All three are crap. Hutton is away out on loan again. Bartley is never a right back either.

Agree5 Disagree0

Wake up free transfers are all we are getting and 3 of them are decent players

Agree0 Disagree4

The is the worst I've heard on here in a while. Riordan, Boyd and O'Connor are total duds.
I would rather see the likes Hemmings and Fleck given a chance than us just signing any old dud.

Agree4 Disagree1

No they're not. They are rubbish of the worst kind.

Agree3 Disagree1

Deek, lol. He acts like a simialr 4 letter word with same start and ending letters. Deek, eh?

02 Jan 2012 18:44:23
well were shocking at best, i hope we move jela on times right for us both we need to strengthen and he`s looked like a move has been on his mind for a while lets hope we get 8m for him that would be great, the only reason we didnt sell him in the last window was it was to late to get any replacements in,squad needs craft, vision and younger legs jela`s sale might free up some money for that i just hope its not wasted on guff like ortiz or no chancers like bedoya,mckay-i was doubtfull about aluko but he`s looking a good wee signing has a bit of sparkle about him!
stg

Believable5 Unbelievable0

MCKAY HAS NOT HAD A CHANCE ONLY PLAYED PART OF GAMES just remember how he played against Liverpool

. Have a word with yourself mate. Liverpool was a FRIENDLY and they didn't try a leg.

02 Jan 2012 18:42:27
Good simple football, pass and move, we had good movement from aloko Healy and fleck plus they played with NO FEAR thats what we should be doing not trying to defend a lead by being to deep in our own half allowing the other team to attack

Believable4 Unbelievable0

02 Jan 2012 18:19:06
If healy and fleck start playing well ally should resign for not giving them more of a chance, ally u might be a gers legend but u ain't get a clue as a manager, resign and give gers a chance

Believable5 Unbelievable8

One minute fleck an healy are pish the next minute you want to build your team round them am really lmao at the desperation of you lot. Just say it how it is... You have no choice but to play them..DESPERADOS

templeton, sandaza, novo to sign for rangers within days dorrans will also be arriving as part of the jelavic deal and goodwillie on loan.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Goodwillie will not happen as hes already PLAYED FOR 2 CLUBS THIS TERM as for the rest the only 1 that i think is not gonna happen will be dorrans tho i would love him to join

would also like to bring in Jamie Murphy very good young player and if we hold on to jelly then he can teach the guy a lot

very good show from the boys today hope fleck gets a few game now really dont wana lose yet anothere good young player

lets all hope kyle lafferty back soon was on the celtic page wishing Kayal the best what the bets that very few celtic fan slow the same class

Tip for all bears, whatever you do,dont listen to sportsound, full of part time dhims, telling all and sundry ,what a world beating team they are, absolute tripe. We cant let this mob win the league, come on Rangers, get back in the race,we are champions. They beat the fifers 3 0,wow,the have not won at home since april for goodness sake, usual delusional dhims.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Wake up. We're the ones in SERIOUS trouble not Celtic. 1 win against a poor Motherwell side and everyone thinks we are great again. Celtic are on the up and playing well. Whyte is turning us into the biggest laughing stock in Europe, fraud conman, liar. He's got most Rangers fans brainwashed it seems. Its freebies and loans for us in January because he has NO money. And these players are free for a reason. They are PI5H.

Agree11 Disagree5

Sare knee jelavic for novo.....now thats what i call delusional, how much will your dodgy owner pocket from that?still in denial about your minted saviour?

Agree7 Disagree1

Think you need to wake up mate. Think you will find it was david murray and his directors that got us in to this mess. Mind he had us up for sale for nearly 4 years before Whyte payed a pound for us.

Agree3 Disagree7

Errr naw i think you need to wake up mate, Whyte is a cheat a liar and a fake. You're not supporting your team by burying your head in the sand. You are becoming part of the problem by allowing this to continue. We are a laughing stock and by condoning Whyte's despicable behaviour we will only get worse.

Agree8 Disagree3

Wake up and do what ? I did not say i was a big Whyte supporter. But you have to admit it was murray that got us in to this mess.Do you have any thoughts of how we can get through this. I personally think it is going to get a lot worse this year.

Agree2 Disagree0

Whyte is the one trying to save rangers,we are in debt we need someone to get the club stable again, even if that means a couple of tough years.

Agree1 Disagree3

Yip protest to Whyte and make your feelings known. The man is dragging the good name of our club through the mud with his behaviour. I very much doubt Whyte even has any money but lets pressure him to see if he has by letting him know we wont stand for any of his pish. Either stump up or fook off.

Agree3 Disagree0

And that applies to all Rangers fan not just yourself mate. Lets push this guy Whyte for answers and funds. Put him under huge pressure and lets see what he's made of before its too late for our beloved club.

Agree4 Disagree0

Oh and aye there is no doubt Murray has a huge portion of blame but Whyte is a liar, has been proven on many occassions and is an embarrasment to our club and is only making things worse, so lets put him under pressure instead of sitting back with our fingers crossed hoping things wil be ok. If he's go money lets make him spen some or get him out.

Agree3 Disagree1

Can you see that doing any good. I hope Whyte has a good business plan for us. We really are up to our necks in the brown stuff. Rangers could be looking at the next 5/6 years playing catch up to the manky mob.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok lets get him out.....and who shall we replace him with exactly? There wasn't a queue of people lining up to buy Rangers. Tell you what, offer him 2 quid (double what he paid) to buy the team and you, the experts, get us out this mess!
Love the laptop know-it-alls who in truth don't have a clue about how things work!
GCUK

Agree4 Disagree3

Yip, Whyte will try anything if he thinks he can get away with it. Time we showed him we won't stand for any nonsense or crap free players filling the team. We need money badly and if Whyte aint got it get him out. We need to show him who this club really belongs to. Us fans not him.

Agree3 Disagree0

GCUK you talk pash, as for laptop loyal i'm a season ticket holder, you ever been to a game? If he's got money make him spend it. If he doesn't have any we wont be any worse off if he goes then will we?

Agree4 Disagree1

02 Jan 2012 17:47:24

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Agreed fleck was awsome, davis needs to play like that for the rest of the season, alouko is a class act, wallace was great..all round great team performance

Agree3 Disagree3

Aluko is a class act, lol is that what were reduced to, 1 win doesnt paint of the cracks in our team!

Agree2 Disagree0

It's decent start!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Aluko and class in same text?not right

PS see Whyte has hired an agent to sell Jellyfish, your owner really has your best interests at heart ha ha, anything not nailed down will be sold by him ha ha

Whyte will be rubbing his hands with glee tonight. No Jela in the team and we won 3 nil against Well who were terrible although Aluko was great for us today and Wallace played well too. Now he'll think he can get away with selling Jela and not bringing anyone in or a cheapo signing at the most. Today's result just papers over some of the cracks, no more than that.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Everybody keeps slagging whyte off dont forget he was the only one to come forward and step up to the plate when all these so called millioner rangers fans sat back they only come out in the press when rangers were on top of scottish football,it wasnt craig whyte who put the club were they are at the present time that was the previous regim, so give the guy a break.

Agree5 Disagree5

WHYTE'S a conman. Lets see how happy you are with his signings and our freefall down the league at the end of January.

Agree4 Disagree2

Doom and gloom lets just see what happens, did david murray he would only give the club to someone who would take the club forward, pations people whats for us wont go by us.

Was at the game today and was delighted with the performance of Aluko davis and Wallace. Thought when Lafferty went off we would struggle but Fleck healy davis wallace Aluko and even Edu were all full of Energy and looked hungry!!

well done lads and i think we will lose jela but bring in Boyd and another striker maybe oconnor or riordon who both have loads to prove but are very capable in the spl. we also need a creative midfielder and a leader in the middle of the park like a Barry ferguson and let davis go forward. Dont think we need a right back as bartley, Edu and the young boy should be strong enough!

Happy new year everyone!!

Much better tonight bears. Particularly impressed with Aluko, Wallace and Fleck who showed a great range of passing and was lively getting himself into good positions. The lad can pick a pass and though I wish lafs aw the best, was pleased Fleck got a decent chance to show us what he can do.

Davis showed a bit of form also and even Edu had a good game.

More of the same please Ally.

ally, just a wee note to urself and the players gonna keep your mouths shut abouy what you and the players are going to do, we know its the papers that exagurate things thats said but theirs no smoke without fire so be quiet and play the games because celtic did the same and look whats happened the last 2 yearsto them.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Just a wee correction and really, not trying to be a smart arse but, there is often plenty of smoke without the tiniest hint of fire.

why are we playing barltey at right back, a player who has done nothing for us and who isnt even our player when a youth player sitting on the bench who is our own player should be gettin a game in his natural position, what must our youths be thinking this is crazy. whyte n ally took over and one of the first things said was we need to look to our youth system, so they bring in gordon smith to over look the youth system and make it work. so whats happening. apart for same old team week in week out for past 3 seasons which is in bad need of a fresh up of legs n creativity.

sell jela, broadfoot, mcculloch and get rid of weir, kerkar, healy a wate of wages, get fleck out on loan or sold as well he`s fast out of chances for me
get a couple of wingers in, a decent creative mid and rhodes or garry o`connor to add something upfront he score goals and does alot of graft, and possibly another striker- saha is on free at the end of the season he would bang them in up here! this team is the most uncreative rangers team ive seen- like pulling teeth at times we are looking old, boring and out of idea`s, theres players in league one and the championship that we could get that would add spark and legs

I'm not going to pretend that I know who we are selling and who we are bringning in but what I do know is that we need a right back, some creativity in the middle of the park and some firepower in forward areas.
Personally, I think we should sell Jelavic as he looks to have lost interest in playing the club and wants a move to the EPL. There are many clubs interested in securing his services ranging from Championship side Leicester City to EPL sides including Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland, West Brom and QPR, not to mention interest from foreign clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Fenerbache. Due to all these teams interests I believe this will inflate his value and we will receive a fee in the region of £8-10m or if he goes to WBA around £5m plus dorrans. I know people will say that WBA rejected £7.5m for him at the start of last season but that was when he was scoring and creating goals for fun week in week out in the Championship. Since their promotion to the EPL he has failed to cement a place in the starting XI and his value will have decreased. He is also a big Rangers fan and was in the crowd at the Old Firm game so that might help to push the deal through.
IMO, Healy and Kerkar should be released as they are clearly not in McCoist's plans and we are wasting money on their wages.
I also think for the same reasons as above that Davie Weir should be offered a coaching role but he wants to keep on playing so I would probably let him leave on a free.
Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay aren't even in the squad and we paid around £1m for the 3 of them. It makes me think why are we paying money for them and not playing them when we have young talent like Ness, Hutton, Fleck, Wylde and Bendiksen who don't cost anything and seem to have more ability. Personally I would sell Ortiz to some Spanish team, loan McKay back to Brisbane Roar and keep Bedoya as he looked as if he was quite neat and tidy on the ball.
I would sell Edu or McCulloch as they bot contribute little on the ball and are too similar to play with each other. If it was me I would sell Mculloch as Edu is younger and more athletic but on the other hand Edu would command a higher transfe fee. and
I have been hearing that Broadfoot and Alexander are being chased by Bristol City which could potentially see us net aroud £1m. This got me thinking about the possibility of Nicky Maynard coming to Rangers. I know it's quite ambitious due to the EPL interest but he only has 6 months left in his contract so could maybe be available for £1-2m plus Broadfoot and Alexander. Also Derek McIness is a former Rangers player so if he had other optionson the table McIness could maybe persuade him to join us.
Billy Sharp was another player who I thought was out of our price range as Doncaster were wanting £3m for him. But Sky Sports News have revealed that he has a buyout clause of £1.85m which kicked into place yesterday. I think he would be a bargain at that price.
Jacob Butterfield is another player I like and our interest has been reported in the paper. We would be able to do the same thing as Celtic did with Adam Matthews and exploit a loophole in his contract which would make him available to us for around £200k.
Scott Allan is another young player that could be available from Dundee Utd for around £500k. Although there is competition from Celtic and WBA (with them looking the favourites after agreeing a fee of £400k with Dundee Utd) this is the type of player we should be looking at instead of players like Edu and MCulloch who lack imagination on the ball. The right back position is a problem are for us but I think that Jordan McMillan is more than capable of making that position his own. He is 23 now so isn't a kid anymore and in the games against Chelsea and Motherwell has looked like a solid defender and is more comfortable at defending with players running at hiim than Broadfoot and Whittaker. But if Ally wanted to bring someone in I think that Scott Sutter would be a great addition if we were able to bring him in on loan from Young Boys.
Finally, if Novo became available I think we should snap him up immediately. He loves the club, the fans and plays for the jersey unlike some players. He would bring back some urgency to the team and would be available for not a lot of money.

All the rumours regarding Boyd...Jelavic is gonna go as soon as a big enough offer comes in...if he goes the money has to be ploughed back into the team...Boydy is a no brainer..get him back free transfer even just till end of season with the option of a new contract. Dorrans would be great but WBA turned down 7 million last year for him...Personally I dont give a hoot who we sign plays for or has played for ...all I want is for us to finish 1 point ahead of the manky mob....we need a good shake up plenty of freebies out there or loanees...too much deadwood

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I'm watching the Edinburgh derby, and as much as we probably don't like him.... the stand out in midfield on both sides is BLACK !! He is exactly what we don't have in our side. He is what he is, but I would go for him....... No Penalties tho' Lol

I'm not going to pretend that I know what teams players are going to sign for and what players we are going to sign but what I do know is that we need a new right back, some creativity in the middle of the park and some firepower up front.
Ally has been informed that he has to sell before he can buy and even at that will only get part of the money to reinvest in the team.
Personally, I would sell Jelavic as he seems to have lost interest in Rangers and wants a move to the EPL. Due to the media reporting that there are many teams interested in his services ranging from Championship side Leicester City to EPL sides like Liverpool, QPR, Everton, West Brom and Sunderland to foreign clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Fenerbache I think this could work in Rangers' favour as his price might increase. So my rough guesstimate is that we could receive a fee on the region of £7-10m.
Other players that I would like to see leave the club are Broadfoot, Ortiz, McKay, Healy, Kerkar and sadly Davie Weir.
I think our right back slot is a problem but one that could be easily fixed. We have Broadfoot and the injured Whittaker who can't defend and are being exploited by teams every week leading to goals and we have Jordan McMillan who is n

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Totally agree that the right back position has been a problem for many seasons, Jordan Mac,Millan would be a good steady right back in my opinion leaving any spare money from the sale of jelavic to spend on a central midfeilder and striker,Kris boyd is nowhere near the player Jelavic is but he can score as many goals probably more in the SPL, Matt MacKay is a top terrier like box to box midfeilder and it's a disgrace that he has not been given his chance. There is easily 15 to 20 goals a season in him.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jan 2012 10:34:56
Very much doubt it but would be great if we could bring in Sutter, Dos Santos, Butterfield and a striker if Jelavic goes.

First two being loan deals.

02 Jan 2012 09:59:14
Why is the sun newspaper saying that, Novo could be offered a deal as a " replacement " for Jelavic, should he be sold ? If this is indeed the case, it is an absolute f***ing disgrace !! That wee guy was a bench warmer for 2 years here, and was always used as a last resort. Also there are rumours that Boyd is coming back !! FFS......... HAPPY NEW YEAR ? What a misery to waken up to. If jelavic is sold and we are not spending big, the boy from Falkirk would be my choice well ahead of either of those two. This is getting more and more ridiculous each day. Worried as F**k Bear.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

I agree with you with Novo, he is a spent force and was spent in his last years at Gers.

Boyd was a proven goal scorer and I would never say not to Scotlands leading goal scorer.

02 Jan 2012 09:58:28
Why are fans getting excited about the possible return of Novo and Boyd. This is a backward step and although unlike some of our current squad Novo will play for the shirt but Boyd was a goalscorer but very lazy at the same time but the biggest worry is that no matter who we have up front doesn,t matter as our midfield is incapable of giving them any bloody service and a blindman can see that is where the problems are.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Backward step? Novo was a cracking player for us and better than any other option on the right wing or to partner Jela just now. As for Boyd does my nut in people like you that go on about him being lazy. Would you rather someone that runs about like a headless chicken (Lafferty) and does f*ck all or someone that will bang in 30 a season.

Football is about scoring goals i cant comprehend how educated people dont understand that?

Agree4 Disagree3

You might be spot on with Novo. But Boyd has scored about 5 goals in two years and no way he is fit never mind match fit.

Agree4 Disagree0

If you read the whole bloody comment you would see that i rate both players for what they are but who the hell in our midfield can supply Boyd to get the 30goals a season you say he will get? Its our midfield i,m having a go at. When has returning players been a great success? Come on give me a list

Agree1 Disagree0

Not having a pop but with no money. The inland revenue after us. The 10 million pound loan from Close Brothers due to be payed back in January. The court cases with Bain and McIntyre coming up and the next 5 years season ticket money ring fenced by Whyte. We don't have a chance of any decant new players.

Agree4 Disagree0

Not on the windup here but I'm looking for opinions about the signing policy at Rangers.

For a number of seasons Rangers have been IMO a million times better than Celtic at spotting and signing central defenders. While we've signed guys like Loovens and Majstorovic who're at times liabilities (although both have started to find form) and many fans see central defence as being still a signing short minimum. By contrast Rangers sign guys Cuellar and Bougherra. With Davie Weir past his peak and Bougherra offski in search of more money, during the transfer window Ally decided to sign two centre backs in Goian and Bocanegra - problem solved.

Lennon chose to bring in Kayal, Ledley and Wanyama in the midfield and IMO have been three excellent signings for us and it doesn't surprise me seeing as Lennon himself was a midfielder and knows the type of attributes he wants to see in his players.

Yet right now IMO Rangers lack any real creativity and quality up front. Sure, Naismith's a huge loss, and Jelavic is a good player no doubt (albeit off form), but I'd have expected Rangers to bring in at least one other striker in the transfer window. The thing is - so long as Craig Whyte was willing to fund the transfer - Ally would've had the final say on any ins or outs into the team.

Being a striker himself surely he'd have a good eye for a striker and perhaps wide men who'd provide good service to Jelavic and whoever else is up front? Just seems a bit strange that Rangers have such a problem with creativity and goals right now when McCoist himself made himself a legend scoring goals. Yet by contrast you seem to be able to dig out centre halfs no problem. I personally think his signings from middle to front have been poor, although in the case of a few I guess it remains to be seen.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

It's bomber Brown that spots the defenders.

Why does everybody keep saying that chraig whyte is a conman and a liar. Yes he hasn't given us the money we need but he is a smart man with probably enough money to keep us afloat. And also he is focusing on the tax case and once that is done u could probably bet that he will give us the money we need and make more money.
