In assessing how the up coming season will pan out. Realistically neither Rangers fans or Celtic fans really know which signings will have the biggest impact throughout the season. We think and hope we have done great business. Celtic think the same.

What I will say is that if Rangers can replicate the form that they showed in the latter part of the season. Taking the killy game out as we only played half a team that day. Then we are in for one helva entertaining season.

On another note let's hope we can eradicate all the mindless morons that tarnish our game last season with coin and bottle throwing ect
Be safe all it's only football.

You would need take to ojo and aribo out the team to replicate the form we showed towards the end of last season, they hold the ball up and slow up our play.

Mcgregor tav goldson katic flanagan jack kamara davis arfield jones defoe.

I would prob be tempted to drop goldson for helander. 👍.

The team I mentioned above is stronger and better than a team with aribo and ojo in it. Just a fact lads, no need to wet yourselfs over it. Both aribo and ojo slow our play up. Hopefully they come good👍.

You've gothe to remember coldo, Kent didn't exactly start like a house on fire. Took him a couple of months to get going, arguably ojo has made a more immediate impression than Kent did let's just give him a chance 👍.

I hope he rips it up too, I always give credit where its due. I have yet to be impressed with him. Like many guys on here have said he is predictable when he always wants to cut in on his left. As for aribo he does have the talent, no doubt about it, I just wish he'd be a bit more direct and move the ball quicker. Again a few guys on here have said the same. 👍.

Coldo, you are missing the point.

You are too quick to form an opinion and the state it’s a fact.

As others have said, Kent started slowly last season - Ojo and Aribo have started better than Kent and yet you have stayed that Kent I’d miles better than them - surely you can see that you are being just a tad foolish?

Kent is a really good player, however, his goal ratio is poor - even assists are not great. If Ojo and Aribo can score goals (so far they have) they will help us win the league.

Just to be clear, the point above are not facts - just my humble opinion as a fan with no RFC wallpaper!

Nope DK i'm not missing the point. Both slow up our play and until they prove they are better than the team I stated above, which they haven't (fact), then they don't start. Like I said tho, more than happy for them to prove me wrong. I want them to shove my words down my throat. Are they up for the challenge? Over to them👍.

Moving onto the first league game this weekend, what are your thoughts for the score/ line up? This was our bogey team last season, and if we're serious about the title, we must be looking at a few goals and domination, I'm buzzing it's all kicking off again and can't wait!

Have to start Morelos. Think we looked far more dangerous when he came on as we had a presence up top and it helped create space for others. He has also scored a barrow load against this opposition .

I'd like to see how productive Ojo is on the left, surely it's a no brainer for a naturally left footed player to play on the left and offer delivery, he took the corners from there against progres and was far better than Tav.

Yes, I've not included Goldson, that's purely because I feel he spends far too much time on the ball and slows our game down, surely Gerrard has noticed this, distribution has not been good enough.

It will be a tricky 1st game, I see Kimnarnock have narrowed and shortened their pitch for us lol, anything less than a win on Sunday will be disastrous.

McGregor still serving ban for McNulty incident. Was best man at my brother's wedding yesterday, so only caught glimpses of the game in Luxembourg. By all accounts we dominated but lacked cutting edge. This would probably sum up matches against Killie last season as well. As the manager said, we need to improve, but it's up to him to come up with the game plan to get the win. That includes selecting the right team, which for me means Morelos must start, simple as that. Anything other than 3 points is unthinkable, even if it is the first league game of the season.

If I have a worry it is although we have quick skilled players, to play at the pace we were for first 2 or 3 friendlies takes its toll.
It was the same last year we had 3 not so bad games then looked leggy for next couple and that's when we get caught out.
I think some of our players Arfield, Ojo, even Halliday look like they need a break already!

I think Defoe has a better understanding with Arfield and whoever's playing in the front 3. Morelos is a more successful poacher, but perhaps does not interact as well with a front 3.
With all our centre halfs I sometimes hope we are looking at a 3.5.2 with both Defoe and Morelos up front. IMO.

I'm not sure where to start with you guys . We were in cruise control tonight and played well within ourselves . We have a tough away game on Sunday, had a comfortable lead and never really looked like not pregressing . Why all the doom and gloom and vilification of some of our players? I for one am really encouraged by our start to the season and am really looking forward to Sunday .

Cruise control? We let them through 3 times missed 3 decent chances . That's not cruise control that's failure to turn up . We thought they'd come at us and we could exploit the spaces but truth is our final ball and finishing were awful . We need to seriously improve for the danes .

Granted the danes will be a big step up for us, but take a chill pill guys. We're through comfortably and had we taken our chances over the 2 games, the aggregate score would have most definitely be in double figures. We all now it wasn't the greatest performance but it was comfortable enough. Bigger tests are coming, we all know that and the season is just starting. Mate, I never for one second during the game felt in any danger of not qualifying and as I said earlier thought we played well within ourselves . I know it wasn’t our best performance but surely for this stage it was job done and look forward to challenges ahead .

We will need to improve you are right but that was also the case last season and we did it. It will be harder this season as no one expected us to do anything, so the pressure is on. The pressure will help build this team, provided we can get to the group stages.

What with all the cr@p off the field now it’s even more important to get to the group stage.

The Danes will be very hard indeed.

It was an awful performance! Against a very poor team who scraped past a league of Ireland team in the previous round. No creativity in midfield last night at all. Manager waited far to long to try and change it. Let’s not kid ourselves it was a terrible performance.

The point is that a better team, ie Midtyland next round would have beaten us last night, last night was an opportunity to make up for lost chances in the first leg and show Gerrard they are capable. After that performance I'm not sure we go any further.

It was failure to beat teams of that calibre who just want to sit in that cost us way too many points and a serious title challenge. Last night was a chance to prove we have the players to cope with games like this and have learned from previous mistakes. It was a poor performance.

My initial point was we did beat them comfortably . In a two legged tie going into the second leg a lot of the time it’s about managing the game, you don’t need to win both legs to go through comfortably. I realise the Danes are a step up but i really thought we had a bit to spare . As you can tell unlike some I am glass half full guy .

I wouldn't say we were managing the game last night mate. We are Rangers, we should of, and should be hammering teams like that, the tie could have been over at Ibrox but we were wasteful, and again last night we were wasteful and only looked dangerous in the last 20 mins. The team looked disjointed, I'm putting that down to the players who were asked to do a job in attacking areas not producing, Ie Barisic, the most negative left back I think I've seen.

The problem with a lot of fans here is that they really didn't watch the game.

Progress were only interested in trying to bully us. They persistently fouled us. Even 2 down they sat 11 men behind the ball, difficult for any team to break through. ( that's football ) This isn't PES or Fifa! As for scraping through against a Irish pub team, their 'Europe' was simply trying to get one over us again. They raised their game more than the previous game. After getting beat at Ibrox, they simply wanted to say we didn't beat them on their back door again.

Watch the game, wake up and try just for once to realize where we are as a club it's not the Souness era or the Smith era. Get behind your team! there is enough cr@p happening off it without fans acting like spoiled brats thinking we have world beaters in the team. We dont.

Which is exactly the way 90% of the teams this season will play us, and did last season. Dropping points because we couldn't find the way to win and having no imagination is what I saw last night, and that was probably our strongest 11 barring Davis. Their professional players, big boys and we fouled probably more than they did.
