Just read an interview online with Warburton inside football think was the site, apparently we don't need to change the way we defend and the way we play will not change, stubbornness will cost him his job if we're struggling sat n he makes 2 60 min like for like subs ibrox will hear me ( and my old man)

29 Sep 2016 22:16:54
What he says in public and what he plans to do on the park are two different things.

He changed the defence the only way he could after the Celtic game (which was obviously the worst performance of the season), by playing Hill and Wilson ahead of the two that were on the pitch that day.

29 Sep 2016 23:14:54
Hill and Wilson played quite well in the Aberdeen game.

Bigblue ayr, Warburton will come good and I think the team has steadily been improving.

I'm not blindly following as a Warb fanatic, I genuinely think the team will start producing.

The only thing from Ayr you usually hear is the dafties from lochside.

30 Sep 2016 02:29:36
The Celtic game was not the worst performance of the season.

30 Sep 2016 07:22:54
He rarely does 60 minute subs you are just delusional. He changes the tactics constantly what he doesn't change is the formation and how we play, the philosophy. He knows how to bring through and produce youth talent and he does that by keeping the formation consistent since that's what I assume the other top youth systems do. 100x better against Aberdeen but people can't see that. No three points = no progression apparently. You call yourselves Rangers fans but the toxicity towards the club at times is dreadful. It's a three year plan, you not doing the relevant reading into the Rangers regime. No one said we would win the title. MW said "We will be highly competitive. " Against Aberdeen we were, effeminately should have took three points. Three year plan the goal this season is second so we can gain European football to upgrade our squad again next season.

I see one more "MW makes 60 minute subs" without anyone actually understanding how muscle loading works I'll explode. He makes subs at any point in the second half (55,60,70,75,80). He changes the tactics by playing different players, rotating players on the field, tinkering a number of things like what side of the park we are attacking, impact subs, where McKay and the CAM are drifting to, when the fullbacks are to bomb on and much more but you can't see it because you'd rather be negative.

30 Sep 2016 08:18:50
A man after my own heart, cracking post RossW1995,like myself a good football thinker and what's going on at our club and what's gone on! Some on here can't see the woods for the trees and are way too negative, we have a minority of very fickle, impatient fans!

30 Sep 2016 08:34:22
RossW, A couple of decent points but the nucleus of your comments are maybe the intention but it is not working.
It is also difficult to take some it seriously with the usage of the word "effeminately".
As far as impact subs are concerned, they are supposed to get the game and turn it about and we have very, very few capable of that. Yes, Miller had an impact against Aberdeen with his awareness and deft pass that won us the penalty, but we don't do enough to win games.
Your last paragraph is just seeing things through blue tinted glasses and I really wish it were true, but in truth, is it not a case of desperation by some and just not knowing what to do, with others are "hiding".
All I want to see is a more flexible selection policy, players chosen for the game ahead and defined changes in our style of play depending on the opposition.

30 Sep 2016 08:35:20
well said ross! he's a very smart man who knows more about football than most people will ever! we just need to give him time. and a lot of people doubting his signing just look at some of the players he has signed windass, holt, tav, foderingham and also at Brentford signed andre gray and Scott hogan and loads more.

it's time to get behind the manager and back him and he players let's get ibrox rocking on Saturday.

30 Sep 2016 09:28:22
Do u read your own posts sometimes ross? Muscle loading, really? Youth, where? Changes tactics, when? Progression, sorry not seeing it at all mate! R u honestly happy with where we are given how big our budget is? Do u honestly think mw is capable of turning this round?

30 Sep 2016 10:22:56
There was a post on few weeks ago calling for tav to be moved into midfield. I don't like players playing out of position but in this case when you look at it he was our biggest attacking threat v Aberdeen and although he has improved defending he's still prone to the odd mistake that can cost us the game.

30 Sep 2016 10:26:29
I agree with Ross on the whole however Aberdeen was no better for me! Some nice football against County and QoS but Aberdeen the performance was impotent! They gave us so much space to play but we couldn't create chances and usually reliable players like Holt were off the pace and wasteful! The positive for me is that we were more than competitive playing poorly and we will prove we are better over the season!

30 Sep 2016 11:51:44
He rarely does 60 min subs it's usually 63 min to be fair big blueayr.

30 Sep 2016 12:26:57
jaws mate what u on about we have too many good midfielders as it is and u want to take one of our best performing players out of his position?

we play 4-3-3 that's the way its going to be I don't agree with it but I have to deal with it .

and no way tav goes into our midfield when we have windass holt rossiter halliday forrester crooks and kranjcar not to mention barton if he does stay here and doesn't become the England manager .!
no way tave gets a game before them in this formation

(last part was a joke before u jump on it guys)

30 Sep 2016 17:02:37
I make one mistype ever and it gets picked up, I mean to say definitely, the issue with the site is there's no edit system or any ability to re-evaluate. Typed it on my phone so auto correct just made up a word.

30 Sep 2016 18:18:37
I also wrote a reply justifying my points but its went missing as usual.

30 Sep 2016 21:39:52
I don't like the way he says thing like we are playing training well and making progress and won't change the way we play as much as you but what else can he say our players need confidence and him backing them at every opportunity makes Sence if he came out and pointed out all our faults it would not help 1 bit things must improve and warbs will be the first person that nos that get behind the team threw the good and bad.

30 Sep 2016 22:33:41
James that's the point I was making about trying tav in midfield u say he wouldn't get a game there due to midfield players we've got . Holt forester and Halliday were our midfield v sheep and tav was our most dangerous player holt and forester done nothing . maybe a wee change like that would be the difference just a thought.

30 Sep 2016 23:50:12
We all have our own opinions Ross and wtf which we all will agree and disagree with I understand the concept of giving the manager time which by the way I hope he gets because I do like him, but I just feel with certain decisions he has made like not shoring up our central defence witch has been evident since after the semifinal last season was never going to be good enough for the spfl, I also understand that it would take serious money to get a quality centre back but surely there had to be better options than senderos and hill.

30 Sep 2016 23:44:27
Ross you need to have a lot more respect for other people's opinions as you seem to think you are on a different level intellectually.

Let's here your 'muscle loading' explanation, just for a laugh- I have a medical degree so I'm looking forward to it.

We need to back the team but at the same time not be blind to reality. Current state of affairs is simply not good enough, plenty of time to turn it around but only if we face the truth.

30 Sep 2016 23:40:49
Ross w, every game he makes 60 min subs and I've not once seen him change tactics.

30 Sep 2016 23:46:27
Also 433 is playing one striker cause we have 2 wide men. when did we ever settle for that at ibrox. me for 1 says our system and shape need to change. let's play garner. waghorn and miller the width of there 18 yarder and let our full backs be the wide men. barry back pass mackay needs rocket up his butt.

01 Oct 2016 03:50:06
I agree with some of your post Ross but this "Warburton needs time" carry on is just nonsense. How long does a manager need to work on tactics? The record speaks for itself, take the semi final out of it have we been good enough for people to say warburtons the man? I stand by him only because he's the rangers manager, nothing else. His tactics are poor, there's no game plan imo. the wide men are too far apart from the striker, we lack direct passing, passing in behind the strikers. People say it's hard to break down 10 men, load of bollocks. Celtic manage it. There's players there that need to pull up their tights and get on with things, niggling injuries, sore legs bla bla bla. get on with it and stop this I'm out for 4 days with a bruise. As for the tactics there isn't any. Fox to centre back, centre back to full back, fully back to holding midfielder, holding midfielder to wide man, wide man to goal kick to the opposition. If your happy to wait another 2 years to challenge celtic then that's fair enough, remember they are strengthening, the gap is going to remain the same. Warburton is naive, arrogant and to me pretty ignorant, 4-3-3 doesn't work not unless you can u utilise the ball and press high which we can't. The blame has to be pointed at someone and people seem to think that it's not really warburtons fault, who's is it then?

01 Oct 2016 13:05:29
I've went my whole life being on a different level intellectually. It's not pretend. It's not arrogance. You just aren't used to someone with the self confidence and belief. Some people just have it and some don't. In sports science, in particular in football sports science there are a number of papers on the maximum number of km a player can cover to gain optimal recovery to minimise risk and injury. Rangers run 3 mids, one attacking, one defending and one box to box (Holt is the box to box, Rossiter the sitter and Kranjcar the attacker for example) the 60 minute sub is either Kenny Miller a man who can't cover the same kind of distance as a younger man due to age hindering his ability to recover, or the box to box mid who covers more distance than everyone. This is due to how the manager views muscle loading and his approach to sports science. This is explained by MW and if I remember the mans name who is head of sports science but I believe it is Jamie or something. These interviews are open to all Rangers TV subscribers which you clearly aren't medical degree or not. Look to last season and how "fortunate" we were with injuries the guy is meticulous and always puts the player fist so its obvious this is why he does it. I'm smart enough to know a medical degree will have nothing to do with the specific nature of football sports science so you won't offer anything more than the regurgitated information I've provided. I respect every ones opinion equally I just respect my own more. I don't pretend when I disagree and I'll say exactly what I think right or wrong, I'll always think I'm right and if you think I'm wrong, its your opinion but you'll never waver the confidence I have in myself. If you don't like that you don't need to read/ respect/ reply to anything I post I know there are plenty of people on here who enjoy reading what I have to say.

29 Sep 2016 17:11:16
Just called to find out about the semi final
Ticket procedure apparently if your on cccs and ticket semi and final priority in July when season ticket renewals came out and have attended all home league cup games through cccs you will
Be entered into a ballot for a ticket so
People
Who are not on won't get and it or who are and missed games might not either suppose it's the fairest way rewarding people who have attended all will get so there's gonney a few unhappy folk ballot will be early next week

Ed please post thanks my friend.

29 Sep 2016 18:20:41
Due to working abroad, i've not made any of the cup games and nobody has taken the ticket either due to work commitments also, although they have all been bought and paid for regardless . Surely that won't go against people that have been on CCS from the start of renewals and still paid all their dues weather they made the game or not?

29 Sep 2016 18:48:55
After talking to one of the boys in ticket centre he's saying that 2000 people signed up for cccs after Rangers drew Celtic in semi so that's why it's stating those who went to earlier rounds or even paid for earlier rounds will be in ballot. There is approx 19k fans in cccs excluding the recent 2000 who signed up so there will be about 3000 fans unhappy as we will only get 20 k tickets all in and a few thousand will go to supporters clubs and hospitality.

29 Sep 2016 18:51:42
They confirmed on the phone it was attendance that
What was required so yes unfortunately mate u won't get one it's your purchase and attendance that counts mate
That's what there saying.

29 Sep 2016 20:05:05
conflicting stories above so I guess we will see, if fans are paying weather they attend or not (especially when cup games haven't been at the best of times midweek etc) i don't see why they should be excluded . Giving money to the club no matter what. a fair ballot would be all CCS minus the people who joined only after drawing Celtic.

29 Sep 2016 15:19:12
Played well last night but 2 games played 10 goals conceded 👀
Aye they are sum team.

29 Sep 2016 16:18:22
What does that say about us and Aberdeen then? As they put 5 passed us and 4 passed Aberdeen.

29 Sep 2016 16:37:38
Better than us, great result for them last night, Celtic are the only team city couldn't beat this season so far, credit were credits due, celtic were great last night and deserved their point.

29 Sep 2016 17:04:51
I'm glad people are starting to realise we are miles behind Celtic this, 'we will challenge them' is utter rubbish. now I hope the board realise as well just how far we are behind. this is a poor Rangers team, nine points from seven games says it all. I also am not a huge fan of our manager. what exactly has he achieved? won the championship that's it but we have him on a pedestal with a magic hat on.

check his record of games won lost and drawn it's as bad as any manager we have had his signings this summer have been awful only Rossiter and Windas has came anywhere near the mark. now saying all that I'm willing to give him till end of season and hope the board can somehow back him as at this moment we are a mid to top six side nothing more.

I hope as we go on things will improve our finishing is dreadfull and concede far to many goals so let's get real and hope for three points on Sat and good display from the team.

29 Sep 2016 15:46:46
Or u could look at in another way and say we scored as many goals against the EPL leaders last nite as yous have managed in your last 4 league games! But hey it's all about opinions! Lol.

29 Sep 2016 15:55:09
Wait to the semi final, we've got 5 so far against you, see how that totes up.

29 Sep 2016 17:04:29
On a Rangers page I couldn't give a monkeys about what the soap dodgers are up to - I'm more interested in Saturdays game against Thistle and looking forward to a convincing display and 3 points - thoughts on Saturdays team selection bears?

29 Sep 2016 17:43:15
Lets go with wilson and sendeross for a run pf games and give them time to develop an understanding. must also say wasnt to confident with MW comments abt not playing the same "8or9" every week, for me that's the most important aspect of having a successful side.

29 Sep 2016 17:45:22
The excitement over the result is embarrassing! It's 11 vs 11 for 90 minutes and City came for a stroll and took a point away from home!

29 Sep 2016 17:30:08
They definitely held their own against a very strong city side and to score 3 against them is very impressive at that level, they done better than most of their own fans thought they would, but fair play to them they deserved the point.

29 Sep 2016 18:09:42
I never said we are a great team or even really good right now. I just said to lose 10 goals in 2 games isn't really great is it.

29 Sep 2016 20:24:25
afcw191, I agree, should be easy for the Jags! lol HH.

29 Sep 2016 21:28:49
as much as it was a good point, city missed de brugne, bet city lose more games because he's not there, i said yeaterday they were going to miss him, he pulls most of the strings,

29 Sep 2016 22:11:21
i would be embarrassed to say i had lost 10 goals in 2 games at home, face facts you got lucky against the gers till kiernan mucked a pass up the senderos took a mad turn prior to that the game was even, going back to the semi final which gers won on penaltys celtic had a 8 man defence for the first half same as most other teams we have played, still think youve a good team, if i was the celtic manager i wouldn't like to think of what was ahead of me.

29 Sep 2016 22:15:22
I'm with you on that one jammydodger.

29 Sep 2016 22:19:39
Celtic played to their maximum, city didn't but credit to Celtic they played with an intensity that we have lacked all season.

Would still bet on a mauling at Manchester.

Saying we don't care about the game is ever so petty. It's the place we want to be and serves to remind how far we have yet to go.

30 Sep 2016 12:48:15
everyone talking about 10 goals in two games stop being soo bigoted. yeas that's not a great stat but that's against barcalona and man city we conceded 7 goals against celtic and Aberdeen and have only managed 3 goals in four games we are no where near them right now .

that being said I have issues with warbs but trust him to get better results and go on a run of good form all we have to do is get something like 4 wins in a row and confidence in our scoring ability and we will be fine for second which isn't great but what most of us expected.

if we don't finish in second this season I can't see warbs being here next year as with our budget dwarfing the rest of Scotland bar celtic we should be shoe-inns for second but must get our finger out our a*ses.

29 Sep 2016 11:17:30
Anyone know where I can find up to date stats for this season including assists etc? I see a lot of people criticising MOH for his quality of delivery but although I don't see him put many deep crosses in but think he does ok finding players in the box, especially considering there is only ever one player to aim at! I'm curious to see his assist stats for minutes played as I can remember a few! I think his productivity is better than McKay and Waggy when he's on the right! Don't get me wrong, he has a lot to do but I think him and Tav are a bigger threat together! I also feel he's becoming, albeit pretty slowly, more comfortable receiving the ball with his head up and looking for a pass rather than just looking to fly about randomly staring at the ball!

29 Sep 2016 14:37:54
You can't tell me that ability wide MOH is better than Mckay. Stats or no stats Mckay is the better player.

I rate MOH but if he's to start games it has to be at the expense of Waghorn IMO.

29 Sep 2016 14:43:01
I don't need stats to tell you that MOH has no end product.

Wish fans would get of mckays back. Wallace keeps occupying his space, and his service from midfield is poor. He is the best player the club has produced in year's and has provided the only moments of quality this season along with Forrester.

29 Sep 2016 14:50:32
I think MOH is average at best. He can't cross and he can't score. Apart from being fast, not sure what he brings to the table to be honest.

29 Sep 2016 15:20:30
Barrie McKay ain't all that I would take Lewis Macleod any day as the best we have produced. As for moh can't cross or score McKay has done neither too. He needs to be put on bench and he is very lightweight.

29 Sep 2016 15:24:38
MOH is a good player for smaller teams that are looking to counter attack!
only thing is that if we play him his running past players ends up him running out the park with the ball which I've seen him do almost as much as he has tried to cross the ball.

I think he could flourish with teams like Dundee or if we keep him in the big games where the bigger teams don't sit back he could be a good weapon to bring on from the bech but for me he hasn't got what it takes to be considered for a start.

29 Sep 2016 16:53:57
McKay is definately the better player for me but not on form at minute. I'd give Dodoo a run out on the flank as O'halloran is really quick with the ball at feet but no end product. It's a difficult on for Warburton that front three but not working at moment. My front three this Sat would be Dodoo, Miller, Windass.

29 Sep 2016 17:16:56
nah ohalloran hassle barely had enough time to make an impact. looks our most dangerous player at times.

29 Sep 2016 18:40:02
To answer the question, Transfermarkt has the assist stats. He's got 5 in 10.

29 Sep 2016 10:11:42
Ticket information for the Old Firm at Hampden is up on the website. As assumed, it's a ballot. The only difference from last year, is they are taking previous games attended in the cup into account.

Probably still need to sell my soul for one.

29 Sep 2016 14:47:25
How does it work will I get an email if I'm picked in the ballot really want a ticket and I think this is the only way I'll get 1.
