Does anyone know and can explain how I go about buying shares in Rangers? You type it into google and loads of different sites come up lol confusing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I bought mine today online with Hargreaves and Lansdown. (Www. hl. co. uk) Very easy and quick.

What I don't know is if I'm too late for an invite to the AGM? Does anyone know?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was them I was mailing looking at but wasn't sure what kind of account to open for buying them what did you do?

Agree0 Disagree0

I just opened a Vantage Fund & Share Account.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ask your bank, most of them will buy shares for you,

if you open an online account you may not receive a certificate when you buy shares

JG, I bought my shares online last week. Not really too bothered about the certificate but I really want to go and vote at the AGM.
Any idea if I'll be sent an invite or am I too late?

Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Sully - if you bought online and have no certificate then this may apply to you
If you hold your Ordinary Shares in uncertifiated form (that is, in CREST), you may vote using the CREST proxy voting service in accordance with the procedures set out in the CREST Manual.

The notice of agm is on the website in the investor section, you should also contact the company who bought the shares for you

Please Please don't make me feel embarrassed to be a Rangers fan, do something about all of this before its all to late, I have lived oversea now for years, if I was still back in Glasgow I would be outside demonstrating every home game, I can't for the love of me find an excuse why John Brown - Walter Smith - and McCoist don't tell the fans what they know, confidentiality agreements would not mean a thing to me, I find it disgusting that they have all watched us get drip fed s****.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@ OP I would agree with the John Brown point- he is not on any confidentiality agreement surely being employed by another club and addressing the fans in such a manner a year ago. Walter I would have thought was a rich enough man but who knows with some people. Ally well he will write a book about all of this one day when he can actually count all the zeros in his bank balance

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait until everything is out in the open, finally. Judging people now on what you think they may/ may not have done helps no-one.

Agree0 Disagree0

So what do we hope for. All the current board get voted out and the people some seem to want so badly voted in. Not sure that would solve anything to be honest. Will we have to raise more money to see us through to the end of the season. Are we pearlessly close to running out of money and facing administration what then. Who is to say even if a new board is elected they will be any better than this lot. If mcoll is so rich will he invest a fair bit of cash into rangers if the team he is part of win. And if not why. Will dave king invest a fair bit of cash if the current board is ousted. And again if not why. A lot of people on here say these men have not bought shares just now because they don't want to line the current lots pockets. But again I can't see them investing big money even if there team wins. So the problem being with no credit facilities available in the near future how do we generate enough cash to keep our heads above water.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spivsout, that says it all, you don't even go to the games, it must be soooo easy for you to run your mouth off about ST money and you like to make personal insults to Ally, yip its the people who don't go to the games every week that are making the most noise its like Sean Connery shouting about independance (independance from who or what I ask) when he doesn't even want to live here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pat, the days of big money being invested are long gone. I believe that Macoll and co will have the best interests of the club at heart. If they get in, they will run the club properly, and if they leave having made money but left the club in a far healthier position, good luck to them. I think they are the only chance of forcing real change, too much skullduggery going on behind doors. It is a shambles and it still has an awful long way to go.

To be honest as much as I want all the current board out I can't see how somebody like Paul Murray would improve things - the guy still talks about how well Rangers were being run under SDM which is utter nonsense, how many years did Rangers post a profit under SDM? And if it was being run so well why was it sold for the same price as an item in Poundland?

Frankly Paul Murray comes across as a nice guy but that's about all, doesn't inspire me in the slightest.

As for Jim McColl, well, I heard him interviewed and he claimed he had big money investors lined up to invest in Rangers but he isn't going to put any of his own millions in. Now if I was a rich man being advised to invest my first question would be, 'And how much are you putting in yourself if you think there's profits to be had?'

As for Malcolm Murray - another nice guy but a big disappointment in so many ways. Letting himself be outfoxed completely by Charles Green being the biggest of those disappointments.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ naz what interview was this wer jmc said he wouldn't invest any of his money and as for mm being outfoxed by green it didn't help Murray when nearly everyone to on the board was helping green and as for pm he may well have been part of the sdm board but offering to work for nothing until the club is in a better financial place is fine by me

Agree0 Disagree0

Really getting to the stage I have not got a clue which camp is best for us, but have got to say all the mouths have had every opportunity to come across with ££££'s and have never being willing to, beginning o wonder if they think fans on their side means they just stroll in for nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ OP. I think you are 100% correct. We have been ripped of for the last two years. How many times will we allow these profiteers to p**s down our leg. Are we really going to allow this to happen for a 3rd time in 3 years. We only have ourselves to blame. Tells me all I need to know when Walter walks away form the club.

John Brown was right - starve them out until the share price nose dives and shareholders then have to listen to the fans to preserve their investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf, everyone is entitled to an opinion. you just seem to slag off everyone who doesn't agree with your head in the sand, blind faith attitude, the kind of attitude that helped keep the spivs at ibrox to fill their pockets.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 2 unfortunately I don't think everything will be out in the open finally as it looks like the board will survive. Possibly Stockbridge will be axed but I don't think any of us will miss his contribution or his filming of colleagues on a night out.
