Does anyone have any strikers that the club could be looking to for next season.
I think we could look at:

. Adrian Dalmau
. Sam Lammers
. Britt Asambalonga
. Jack Marriott.

30 May 2019 08:49:48
not a chance on assombalonga or marriot

both bought for big money.

30 May 2019 07:45:03
Cannot afford marriot.

29 May 2019 16:53:58
Anyone think Ashley is going to come knocking?

29 May 2019 18:29:15
The awful thought did cross my mind when I read about the deal to sell Newcastle.

30 May 2019 08:31:24
Thought the same myself, hopefully I'm just being paranoid👍.

30 May 2019 09:51:26
He needs a site to build his new warehouse. ibrox an ideal site close to the motorway.

30 May 2019 10:32:17
Your patter is terrible AHW, next you'll be on telling us how good lennon us🙈👍.

30 May 2019 12:22:40
Your only upset your know its a possibility, what need would he have for an empty stadium if you all boycott sports direct rangers. lennon certainly has a better management track record than no trophies Gerrard.

30 May 2019 13:17:29
You can't go fishing with poor patter AHW, You just sound desperate for attention😕👍.

30 May 2019 13:19:59
Lennon will get found out won the titles with no real challenge look at what he done to hibs managed to Drag then to mediocrity there's a timplosion coming ahw I hope you've a tin hat

30 May 2019 14:12:20
Let's see how trophyless Steve Gerrard deals with the difficult path you face in the Europa league passed qualification round 2. if you make it that far.

Rangers fc. onwards and downwards.

30 May 2019 15:17:42
what happened to lennon in his past 2 managerial posts?

30 May 2019 15:56:14
Christ almighty mate do you ever stop, your comments can be found in primary school, Gerrard has been managing for a year, how long has pumpkin teeth been at it, time to move on from your inane drivel posts.

31 May 2019 00:15:50
Trophyless? I take it the champions league isn't a trophy? Diddy.

31 May 2019 07:44:28
Shawlandsbear. no trophies or finals as a manager. please the wee man it's just an apprentice without good experienced skilled teachers.

As was always quoted in dad's army. he's doomed. and hopefully damned.

29 May 2019 15:31:47
As we already know southampton are sniffing around scott arfield, who i incidentally think has been rangers best signing, this callendar year. I don't wear this fact because scotty arfield is now 30 years old, that £3million from southampton, would be suffice to sign him?
Absolutely no chance. Even at 30 years old, if southampton are serious about signing him,
then make them pay through the nose, as he's worth a helluva lot to our starting 11.I would be looking for no less in the region of between £5-£7million for arfield. In saying that i'd be gutted if he was sold because i like many rate him very highly indeed. If its crazy dough, then of course we would probably have to sell him. Arfield has been superb for us and absolutely ran all over scott brown and the rest of their midfield, in our two wins against them at ibrox. Absolute toffee for the lad arfield.

29 May 2019 16:41:37
He's not one of " our young " players then?

Tommy.

29 May 2019 18:15:07
Coop, Arfield is going nowhere. He said it himself. He has a young family and likes life in Scotland. It would take a stupid bid to make rangers think about it and even then he would need to agree.

29 May 2019 19:08:47
I know that blue89,but you just never can tell 100% mate. My mate knows arfield as he's originally from the dechmont area and he actually told him that he was so happy at rangers and as far as he's concerned, he's going nowhere. I did post this on here a few weeks ago now.

29 May 2019 20:11:57
i agee lads but money talks

gerrard said himself every player has his price that’s just a cold hard fact

if a crazy bid comes in and it’s an EPL team and he could x2 or x3 his wages he’d consider it and so wld we

really hope he stays tho we’re not the same team without him.

29 May 2019 22:08:39
Aye, we know you’ve already posted it. And you’ll more than likely post it again next week.

29 May 2019 22:24:24
Hahaha I was just thinking to myself that must be Coop, due to his nonsensical, use of, commas, for no, reason in, sentences!

30 May 2019 09:33:17
So right Theswagman. I counted 9 commas in the earlier post. It detracts one from actually reading what is being posted! Note the absence of commas in this post.

30 May 2019 08:36:18
Hopefully arfield stays, He was over the moon when he signed so I think it would have to be an incredible offer for him to leave. I can't see him leaving to be honest. We have a good core of players and we need to build on that. 👍.

30 May 2019 12:02:14
SGL Was the post not about what team Scott supported as a youngster, I replied Celtic, Cause my mate told me as he stays next door to Scott’s brother in Livingston, I also said who the feck wants to stay in Dechmont as I come from the same area Broxburn 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺.

30 May 2019 12:17:28
I thought arfield said he was a rangers fan cunny. I'm sure he mentioned when he first signed that it was a dream to play for his boyhood club. I could be wrong but I would have swore by that👍.

30 May 2019 12:38:12
Coldo I’m only saying what a mate I used to work with in Livingston said, Mind you he one off them,

30 May 2019 13:15:58
Arfield is a rangers fan. I worked beside his band mate from the begbies and know his other friend who went to school with him. Both said he is and always has been a rangers man.

30 May 2019 13:18:30
I know you are mate, just got me thinking though. 👍.

30 May 2019 13:44:50
Guess u guys haven't seen the videos of arfield singing rebels when he was young? Not that I care as long as he produces for the gers 👍 his brother is a gers fan but not Scott.

30 May 2019 14:04:31
Coldo Nae bother mate. Only stating what I was told, By a C##t off a so called mate, Typical T#m 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺.

30 May 2019 14:05:27
Coldo, scott arfield is a rangers fan mate. Its his brother who's the celtic fan. I did have this debate with cunny in oz a few weeks back. My big mate knows scott arfield.

30 May 2019 15:19:38
SGL Nae bother.

30 May 2019 22:49:11
If the likes of Armstrong was worth 7mil, then Arfield must be worth at least that. Arfield is a far better player imo.

29 May 2019 13:21:27
everytning all good regarding my ally post ----this board is for comments on the gers, negative or positive. I have my opinions on ally mccoist and have met him personally and he's a lovely guy and rangers through and through but I stand by my comments. he was overpaid playing against east stirling etc---even ally would admit that---and thanks frustrated blue--but no worries--if I make a comment I expect flack---and I got it--- thanks for all the replys, that's what this board is for---cheers--.

29 May 2019 13:56:56
As the song goes let it goooo, let it goooo!

29 May 2019 16:03:13
He obviously didn’t think he was overpaid as he only took a pay cut after his salary was made public.

30 May 2019 00:49:52
Mccoist continued to take a wage for six months, after he quit, and then king gave him a pay off! When he knew the club had no money!

30 May 2019 08:39:28
It was mccoists money jason, he's entitled to it. Would you leave your work without getting what was owed to you. The fact that he is a rangers man or a millionaire is neither here nor there. Its his money! 👍.

29 May 2019 13:06:15
It is very strange that I posted Rangers should never play marseille in a friendly and was ripped apart by the same guys who say " Naismith should never be back at Rangers, Dundee Utd, etc should be boycotted, we will never forget, , well I will never forget my plans for the champion league final, until marseille stole the final place,

Some people are hypocrites then,

Tommy.

29 May 2019 13:48:35
Looking at your last post Tommy I think it’s directed at me. My posts around Dundee United were pretty transparent, we should not be holding a grudge against them. I’m sure my words were ‘lets Build bridges with SPL clubs (and wider) in order to help us purchase players in the future’. Some fans appear to have adopted the Celtic mentally of being bitter and twisted and to still hold a grudge against Marseille is ridiculous, did the players cheat? Did the fans cheat? Or did the ex chairman and board cheat? Open your eyes!

Same actually goes with us, did the players cheat by not paying tax, did the fans cheat? Or was the chairman and board corrupt?

Seriously get off your judgement chair and start being serious as it sounds like you’ve just watched too much Jeremy Kyle.

29 May 2019 13:57:27
And again let it goooo, let it goooo!

29 May 2019 14:00:36
Rangets should always achieve success via their own merits . We blew several opportunities that season to get to the final we should always look at ourselves and what we could have done better before anything else .

29 May 2019 14:30:39
And again, Who put 50p in tommy and stuck him on repeat? 🙃😕👍.

29 May 2019 15:50:47
Only person on repeat mate is you, every single day, much as I agree with your views on superstuper I find it incredible you talk about repeat, maybe you should have a look at your dozens of replies every 10 mins, obviously you weren't there,

Tommy ( sorry Paul)

30 May 2019 00:52:23
Why are you botb arguing about something that happened 25 years ago? let's focus on stopping 9 in a row!

30 May 2019 08:43:13
Must have been a quid that was put in you Tommy😕👍.

29 May 2019 09:57:03
Regarding transfers for next season, obviously a lot depends who moves on from current squad, I think we will probably need another 4-5 signings. Think we have sufficient cover for midfielders, but we need another solid centre back, left back and right back. Also going to need 2 goalscorers. Who these players are, I'm not sure because transfer values are stupid for certain players. But I would personally like to see some of the youngsters getting more of a chance this season. A lot of the youngsters confidence must be high after having a good season, so surely they would love to have the chance to impress. Gerrard hasn't seemed that keen to use any of the youngsters (including league cup), some people say that Gerrard obviously doesn't think they are ready, but I'm sure some of them will do well with the experience of being involved in the match day squads, even have more on the bench to get used to the atmosphere.

29 May 2019 10:56:03
We don’t need a right back. We have Tav, Flanagan and Polster. We desperately need a creative no.10.

29 May 2019 11:10:42
From the team that defeated Celtic I think we need the following for the first team:

Foderingham - McGregor comes back in
Tavernier - Plenty cover at the moment
Flanagan - New LB required to battle with Barasic
Katic - back up required (no big spend)
Goldson - back up required (no big spend)

Davis
Jack
Kamara

While I like these 3 I can’t help but think we could do with another, one who is can be the first name on the team sheet. I’d also like Turnbull from Motherwell

Arfield - plenty back up already signed up.
Kent - Ojo has been mentioned and he has a similar potential to Kent, we also have Murphy to come back but a no. 10 of quality who would provide us the option to change formation to a 4-2-3-1 when needed.

Defoe - We need another one in place of Lafferty but if Morelos goes we’ll need 2 strikers.

All in all not major surgery required but if we could get 2/ 3 of real quality and keep them fit we will be close next season. £8-£12M for Morelos could fund this and maybe allow us to get a top attacking mid and left back, our 2 priorities IMO.

29 May 2019 12:35:56
Sorry bear but I lost you halfway through, what does no big spend actually mean? Buying 2nd rate players, ?

Tommy.

29 May 2019 14:33:26
i agree with most of your points. Left back and central defender are needed.

Our squad is huge at the minute, we need to trim it down significantly. Dodoo, holt, hodson, alnwick and herera need to leave. rossiter, Docherty, lafferty, grezda, middleton, dorrans, mcrorie, halliday, foderingham and polster have the pre season to prove their useful or they will need to be punted/ loaned out. if we get rid of some of those then we should replace them with better options.

If morelos goes, which I can't see happening due to his discipline issues this year, we will need to replace him with a first choice forward.

overall i'm happy to go into the new season the team that finshed the season.

29 May 2019 14:34:47
What do you think it means Tommy? Perhaps if you expanded on your reading skills you wouldn't have lost wee bear halfway through. what's with your arrogance in the last few threads? 👍.

29 May 2019 15:52:34
Arrogance? Coming from you coldo that is praise indeed, 🍾

Tommy ( sorry Paul )

29 May 2019 16:23:34
Blue89 I was just thinking that If Tav was to leave this summer we would need another right back. Flanagan seems to be doing ok at left back. If Tav was to leave would like to see another right back similar to Tav, someone good at going forward and putting balls into the box. Think Flanagan better defensive back. Not totally convinced with Polster, he didn’t make bench to many times. Wonder if Hastie could play no.10 role?

29 May 2019 18:19:55
Agree with you Shaft, if Tav leaves that is. I think we need him to stay another season or two because we’ll struggle to find another RB that will contribute as much as him going forward. I think Gerrard will gradually ease Polster in so he isn’t thrown in at the deep end.

30 May 2019 10:35:31
Whoever put that quid in you Tommy is certainly getting their monies worth😉👍.

29 May 2019 09:19:22
A strange Scotland team selection from Clarke but are we surprised? What is sad is no Rangers players in the squad and I think given some who have been named, Ryan Jack should absolutely have been included. Also, compared with some in the squad, surely Ross McCrorie and even Andy Halliday should have merited inclusion? Don't laugh about Halliday, the man gives his all every time. If fit, Lee Wallace, Jamie Murphy and Graham Dorrans would also be in the frame so we do have some decent Scottish talent at Ibrox (if fit! ) . Good to see Liam Kelly called up but only Robertson and Fraser are anywhere good enough in my view.

29 May 2019 11:04:58
Halliday? Cmon. He gives his all yes. But he's just not good enough its as simple as that. He is a bit part player with us if we are struggling with injuries that's it.

29 May 2019 12:39:08
And the killie players are better are they?

There's a reason why they play for Kilmarnock
Halliday has played well against epl teams and in Europe, always stood up

Tommy.

29 May 2019 12:41:21
Ryan Jack is prob the only Scottish player we have who merits a shout for the Scotland squad.

Clarke's overlooked 1 player from our squad. Didums.

The squad he's chosen doesn't set the heather on fire. Want our national team to do well obvs but not bothered too much.

Leaves one of our main players with a good break over the summer.

29 May 2019 12:58:57
Paul. If you look at Clarke's squad there are a few unheard of muppets in there and I'm sure Halliday has been part of a better team than their teams this season. I'm not disagreeing with what you say but compared to what Clarke has picked.?

29 May 2019 13:12:37
I can see there's a few in there who shouldn't be. Ie mcnulty brophy etc. but atleast they play regular football. Halliday is barely good enough for the bench for us imo. also tommy we can see your name you don't have to sign off after every comment.

Paul.

29 May 2019 13:13:56
Also tommy you cannot say that's the reason they play for killie. They took most points off us this season in the league.

29 May 2019 13:53:45
I would be horrified to see Andy Halliday anywhere near Scotland selection Ryan Jack has played well but not international standard would be badly exposed at that level.

29 May 2019 14:10:49
Are you actually telling me not to post my name? I have been on here since stupor was warbs11. I will put my name down if I want, that OK with you pal?

And your nonsense about players beating Rangers and their international status is laughable, those players wouldn't have even dreamed about international football until Clarke told them

Tommy, ( hope you don't get upset )

29 May 2019 14:17:10
Halliday isn’t even a first pick for us, why would he even be near the Scotland squad?

29 May 2019 14:22:58
Brilliant. Too many wine gums fir tommy today. i am not sayin these killie players are good enough. But Andy halliday is very poor. If we have nobody else available then he gets thrown in. Will b dissapointed next season if he even makes the bench. he's our 3rd best left back but yeah let's fire him in the Scotland set up. andy robertson be bricking it. he's also nowhere near good enough for the midfield. Ross mccrorie in with a better shout.

29 May 2019 15:56:04
Sorry mate, it wasn't me who mentioned Halliday for international football, I only said the Kilmarnock players is very strange,

Tommy, oops x.

29 May 2019 16:03:05
Andy’s time is up we need a better quality of squad player if we’re looking to progress.

29 May 2019 16:51:52
I'm taking it you don't understand what I said, il put it another way, Clarke has com from Kilmarnock, he hates Rangers, he gets Scotland job, and immediately picks 3 players who wouldn't be in the top 50 of many people's thoughts, and will likely never be again, tell me the last time 3 Kilmarnock players played international football, ? Now Halliday is being abused, one of our own and a guy who hasn't ever done anything wrong., very poor in your words, your a really good Rangers fan,

Tommy (oops)

29 May 2019 19:47:59
I think Jack can feel a bit disappointed about not getting into the Scotland squad. we don't have any other outfield player who warrants getting into the squad. The killie players? time will tell.

29 May 2019 07:42:39
What does my fellow bears think of trying to sign the boy Marriott from Derby. Only 24 and has a decent goal ratio. I know he would command a fee but we could do a deal regarding Tav? Just a thought.

29 May 2019 11:31:33
Dont understand why people constantly want to get rid of tav?
If it was up to me I would push him up the park and put Flanagan in at RB, but that's just my opinion. Certainly don't want to see him moved on though.

29 May 2019 12:30:31
Totally agree OrangeTinted. I have been battering on about moving Tav on to the right wing all season. If you think about the amount of goals he scores from right back just think how many he could score from further up the field. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS.

29 May 2019 13:50:28
Tav is a good player for us, yes he needs to be more conscious defensively but the team as a whole aren't solid enough in that respect I think part of the problem we had when we couldn't break teams down was down to playing him and candeias. Candeias is a touchline winger who likes to get a cross in but tav is already there for that so there's no point in having them both out there. If tav plays we need someone in front to drift in and get closer to the main striker. Too often crosses were being fired in to morelos on his own. Maybe having a left footed like hastie out there would open things up.

29 May 2019 13:55:23
As1974,leave james tavernier where he is mate. I also just can't understand for the life of me, why with some of our supporters, bring tav's name up first, either to be sold, or taken out the team and stripped of the captaincy. I know money talks, but tav would be a helluva miss, if we were to sell him.

29 May 2019 14:11:56
Agree Tav has been great, just not a great defensive player, but a great weapon going forward

Tommy.

31 May 2019 03:22:56
Maturing into a terrific player. Always fit and available as well.
