Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Have posted same for some time now and believe boy I wish not, but under ''our man'' IT IS GETTING WORSE EVERY GAME. Please please let's not have the usual responses 31 games undefeated, this would get football stopped and if continues there will be no debate about holding season ticket money simply because to the majority of us this is a major expensive, and to be brutally honest after some 40 years I am beginning to think would be better spent on dentist bills.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

O. P agreed and also agree with the analogy about the dentist's chair. After some of the 90 minutes you feel as washed out as you would be after 10 fillings and a root canal with no anaesthetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that the football is dire. I find myself hoping that we are just getting dragged down to the level of the other teams in this division and that this "safety first" percentage football will be magically transformed into slick one touch passing football when we play on "proper" pitches. However, the displays at Ibrox would contradict this. At home, on many occasions we have seemed even more timid, nervous and
sometimes downright clueless. I have no idea why Dundee Utd are making such a fuss about coming to Ibrox, as I fear a real hammering. None of the youth or the fringe players look any more talented or hungry than the usual suspects. Like so many Bears, I would dearly love to see a young, homegrown Rangers team, successfully playing attractive, possession football. I had hoped that was going to be the ethos of "the journey". All I can say is that I do think McCoist was a unifying figure from Feb 2012 and I am grateful. It would appear that we are stuck with him and his back room staff, but at least we still have a football club. The current squad should be more than capable of winning the Championship and we are back at the top table after only three seasons. Imagine, if you were a Leeds, Pompey or Luton fan, this would be some kind of nirvana. I am glad that this forum exists. It allows us to share, ideas, opinions and information and allows us Bears to let off steam, be critical of the Board, the Team and the tactics (or lack of). However, we as a club were guilty of massive arrogance in the not too distant past, if we can learn anything, then please let it be humility. I don't care whether you agree with DK or SOS or the current board, or that would rather see McInnes or Davies in charge. I just hope we, collectively are truly worth the epithet of "greatest supporters in the world" and continue to support The Famous Glasgow Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Macoist and his lack of tactics is a bigger danger to the financial future of the club than anything else its that bad the chairman at least I think he is sees macoist and his signings are hopeless and actually made a rare comment

I must say I find all the talk of stopping Celtic winning 10 in a row a bit strange, let's face it from what I've seen of them this season against Karagandy and others in Europe and taking into account their defeats to Morton and Aberdeen in cups, they really aren't all that good. As another example, their main strike threat comes from a player who only a couple of months ago was struggling to get a game for Wolves in the 3rd tier of English football.

Saying all that, if Ally was to be kept in charge of Rangers for the next 7 years then I might worried.

Luckily that won't be allowed to happen. Anybody with any sort of football brain now realises Ally is a hindrance to the progress of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 2 A good thoughtful post and I agree with most of it. Two small points though by not learning from the first financial collapse and needing £17m IPO money plus a further loan of £1.5m Ally and his directors have not learned anything including humility. Surely when you go bust so utterly spectacularly as we did you try and live within your means and use the best Youth development facility in Scotland?
It's all about opinions but "the best supporters in the world"?
At the moment my award for Scotland's best goes to Hearts who also probably have just about the best club song in Scotland.
And having watched their game against Hibs I think both these teams would prove too much for us never mind Dundee United.
But hey in a one off game if United have a complete off day similar to their mid season blip who knows?
I ain't betting my house on it though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good OP and thereafter the comments are reflective on our current position. Any TEAM has a basic system that works to the strengths of the players and it can be adapted to suit events on the park. Our system, if you can call it that, is the long aerial route with no alternative.
The union of fans are highly critical of the board, and rightly so at times, but they must reflect on their backing of DK when anything he proposes, includes backing the current coaching regime.
Before a penny is spent on the playing staff a complete overhaul of the structure is essential.
Comparisons are difficult, but today Hearts worked to an adaptable system and all this with a very young team and an inexperienced coach. I will not even mention Liverpool because if we are watching football, they are playing another game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive never seen so many moaners in my life we won again but you wouldn't think so your even moaning about where the team bus stopped. If you read all the posts on here you would think we were at the bottom of the league instead of going up into an exciting league where real questions will be asked of us and i'm sure we will rise to the occasion what will yous find to moan about tomorrow? Yes Allys tactics no youths ect change the record will you and why not talk about going a whole season undefeated in the league or winning our first cup final since dooms day or how well Aird is shaping up try being positive for once it feels a lot better.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7

How can you possibly defend this rubbish we are watching? Are you happy watching a team that costs £6-£7m struggling to beat part time teams? Doesn't bother you that some of our players on big wages can't do the basics? I have read a lot of your posts on here and I am undecided about you. You are either on the wind up or totally delusional. Which one is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2, one of the best posts I've read on this site.

A couple of posts asked the question of whether or not we should be resting players for the cup ties. Their question has been answered, yes. We now have a possible 5 of the starting 11 injured.

I have a suspicion that we'll play well against teams wanting to attack and we'll play the best two matches of our season to date in the next 12 days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Re 8) I believe the answer is neither, my own thought is that it is Ally's PR man in disguise.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a season ticket holder with my better half for many years, I am sad to say I will not be renewing either of our tickets this year. I haven't been to a home game since October, when I thought the football couldn't get any worse. I was wrong! watching the last couple of televised games only show us to be going backwards in EVERY sense of the word. But then again tomorrow is April 1st & we are already in silly season £50 mill? - Madjid Bougherra? - stopping 10 in a row?.
The growing number of very long term season ticket holders I have spoken to in the last 3 months or so who are not renewing, not for any other reason than what is being dished up is so poor that they fear for the future of our great club, and simply do not enjoy going to the games any more.
We had a chance to start again properly and build a team over a few years - we have lost that chance, which I am afraid will be very sorely proven against Dundee Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

@11, No surprise, as a poster correctly said a few weeks ago, Ally continuing as manager will lead to dramatic reduction in ticket money and our worst fears.

Agree0 Disagree0

@11 you've hit the nail on the head. like u don't know your age, but me and my friends are between 50 and 65 and lifetime supporters but there is no value in watching this type of football, mince is to good a word for it, and I hear someone saying would I have been happier winning 8-0 everyweek? The answer is yes but I also would be happy winning 1-0but playing good football, as for aird he has been poor for a month before his 2goals of late, and does anyone in here believe moshni is good enough, for me he losses Concentration to easily and lee is to slow to play next to him I thank all players for what they have done, but tell me a player who has got better since joining us I thought law was going to be amazing but nope. Right am away for ma medication :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is the biggest danger to rangers than anyone I am quie certain the pesent regime are keeping him for some mis begotten idea he will sell season tickets the chairman slated him last week with one of the few statments he has made hopefully they are beginning to see through him as far as competeing with championship clubs or mediocre s p l clubs another man at helm would work wonders wih the present squad although ally has a high wage his money and his staffs wages are all in he budgets get a manager on less money do a deal wih macoist his payoff would not be an unsurmountable problem considering how big a problem his contiued management will cause and how much of a lift it will give supporers and players alike

more crap served up, the sooner mccoist is gone the better

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The run will grind to a halt next year when gers get into the championship I think they will struggle to win that division doug t. s. o

Agree0 Disagree0

@OP. Doesn't bode well for next season then.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone defend this? Week after week people come on here and defend McCoist. This is appalling and no wonder attendances are going down. Never mind a season ticket boycott to get rid of the board Ally's anti football will drive people away

Agree0 Disagree0

I just don't get McCoist or some of these players. Big Jig stated players would be playing for a cup final place- they must have thought Super Ally has already picked his team for Easter Road. But the other thing is having already won the league wouldn't the team talk be -just go out and enjoy the game, play football and entertain the travelling support. Or is the unbeaten in the league "kudos" for winning the 3rd worst league in Scotland more important?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't at the game myself, was anyone on this post? Who played good? Who didn't?

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 5 John why does that not surprise me. I don't think any of you Super Ally men actually go to games.
One wee Super A fan was on here some weeks ago telling us all there was over 40,000 in all home games- he obviously hasn't been to Ibrox this season or last. Otherwise if you saw the product SA and his men produce weekly then you would find it more difficult to spring to the defense of your hero.
Good is quite subjective but Aird and young Gallacher when he came on were
"good-ish"

Nbear2

We have in my opinion only been good against Dunfermline and in the pre season friendlies.

The most worrying thing apart from the lack of flair or any perceivable "style" of play through any coaching there is an inability to change the game when the eleven players on the field aren't on top of their job.

But hey if you cannot get along to games there is always Rangers TV all "real Rangers men" should have been able to watch Ally's team on that after midnight?

Although the North Sea wind did make difficult playing conditions would Barcelona have been so inept at adapting to the conditions if our home ground was Gayfield Park?

Not relevant I hear you say well that is the whole nub of the issue. The difference between us and and our opposition who are all part time and operate on budgets that are at least 70 times smaller than Rangers should be at least the gap between us and Barcelona. Even when they drew with us at Ibrox when Walter's men did the European special of parking the bus- Barca still looked good. Their passing was good their movement was good and they made the game entertaining we didn't and we don't.

We only needed to win the league by one point not 30 odd as someone else posted yesterday so more youth could have had their chance.

And yes some youths are not up to like Kyle Hutton, Heggarty, Perry etc but McAusland and MacKay, Gasparatto should have had their chance this season.

Walter Smith didn't give Barry Ferguson a chance it took a new manager to see his potential and he did all right when he came into the team.

And finally "the team would not get any praise if we only won the league by 1 point" newsflash we ain't getting any praise by winning with 30 points to spare with Ally's very costly journeymen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo can't watch this next season we will struggle big time with long baw mccoist in charge

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrn spiv for once we concur mccoist must be then only manager who makes players worse once he starts coaching u think every game they play u hink it can't get any worse then macoist makes a statement saying he is only involved with the football side of the buisness if he thinks the mince he serves up is football his next step should be carstsairs or the london paladium

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 so were you at the game? Who played good? Who played bad?

In your opinion, do you not think we played good when teams were getting hit for 8, 6, 5 and 4's?

Agree0 Disagree0

J cass I will ask u are u happy with teams performances over the season or even allys tactics considering almost all the plyers in opposition do a weeks work before the face us and get if there lucky £80 /week for the ones that are better paid leave for away games in early hours of sat and if lucky get fish supper on way home

Agree0 Disagree0

Ibj as I have says before the performances haven't been perfect, but they'll do the league has been won, that's what we want. Can you remember ally's tatics when we were in the spl? A bit different to what we see now? Horses for courses. As we go up the leagues and players come and go, am sure we will see a change in the style. Also a do a weeks work, play football on the saturday, don't get paid for it and also have to buy my own fish supper, that's life.

Agree0 Disagree0

N11 johncass are you on 15 or 20 grand before your bonusess do people buyseason books to come to watch you play

Agree0 Disagree0

We ain't talking about rangers players if you read the posts you would realise that, we are talking about the teams they play, you know the ones who work hard all week and still manage to play football, wee shame for they guys so it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass your post at 11 is talking about the rangers players

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn read post 10 then post 11 should make sense now, do you just see my name and read my posts lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass my point was our players get funny money next to ordanerry workers and its us ordenery poeple that buy season books to watch big earning football players against part timers I don't care how its dressed up we should be thumping these part timers even with there 11 men behind the ball ffs ally has got 11 men behind the ball at ck against us what's that all about

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass I read all the posts you are making excuses for our pros that can't hammer guys that have been graftin hard all week some even having to do shifts before playing against us

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn your one of these people who moan for the sake of it, no teams going to go through a season thumping teams every game regardless if their part or full time. Look at the results at the start of the season, compared to now, it's obvious the players are bored with no competition

Agree0 Disagree0

Cmon mate we should be beating these teams with ease it shouldn't have to go to the last few minuets to garentee the 3 points

Agree0 Disagree0

N18 you say players bored with no compitition how many games have we won in the dying minuets how many times have we needed a penalty kick to get us the points I will tell you to many

Agree0 Disagree0

No competition at at all in the leagues it's been unofficialy win for months tmwnn. I know I am always looking for the good and positive on here, but I do know we need to strengthen for next season and I think performances will step up again. Within the next 7 days we have 2 very important games against against opposition who are better than what we face in the league, so we will see if they rise for the better competition am sure they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass ime sure they will lift there game as well they will need to eh

Agree0 Disagree0

Here's hoping, we are both posting positive posts tomorrow mate lol

Just wondering what the travel arrangements were for todays game.
Night at a 5 star hotel with all the trimmings?
Dounebear

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Such a long and arduous journey to Arbroath. Such a hard life being a full time footballer and having to play against guys who have already done a weeks work.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP probably but only because Super A couldn't find a 6 star kip over. But he has nothing to do with finances so you musn't apportion any blame whatsoever to the great one for this or any other spending at all
