Wes Foderingham (Swindon Goalkeeper) in talks with Rangers. About 24 years old I think, seen him quite a few times play last season, probably one of the best keepers in League 1 over last 2 seasons, was very good last year, brilliant reflexes. Very much hope this happens.

As some of use guys will know I'm all for giving young Clark a chance and have stated in the past he never got the service the other strikers had
ref Chris Boyds quote today :
"No disrespect to the players I played with last year but when you go from playing with World Cup players and top players, you look at Steven Davis and people like that.

"Barry Ferguson, Pedro Mendes they were creating chances, five or six chances per game and it wasn't there last year.

I understand whee kris boyd is coming from, but I feel he is making excuses as he didn't have amazing service at Kilmarnock and scored a lot.

Boyd was 100% right with what he said.

I never posted this for Chris Boyd benifit and yes Bigwull a bit of a no brainier but I recall getting a bit of flack regarding young Clark the lads never had any decent service since he sighned that's my point . Not interested in Boyd he's gone!

Boyd knew what the situation was with the club when he re-signed for us. So if he didn't think he could adapt his game suitably then he shouldn't have come back. I really wanted thinhs to work out for him as I was a massive fan of his, but making excuses of nit playing with good enough players this time just doesn't cut it I'm afraid. And King was right with what he said, for the team with the 2nd highest wage bill not to get promoted is indeed a team of failures. doesn't mean that some can't come good this season though.

I'm the first to confess I know very little about some of the guys were looking at, but I did look at the clips of Reece Wabara and actually thought, he's a wee bit like Mark Walters then I've just read that he's his nephew must be worth a punt me thinks!looks fast not shy at running at players and can cross a ball!

Nothing as yet mate. Was on the stadium tour yesterday and the tour guide said nothing confirmed but to expect a couple of friendlies down south and a small tour in scotland. Pretty much the same as the last couple of year.

I think some of us here need a wee time out here to realise the reality of our situation.

We have one group saying where is Kings investment? Not put a penny in etc.

Another group giving it - bring back all the players that brought us some great days.

And others who are heaping huge expectancy on every player signed and Weir and Warburton.

Firstly King will invest millions - not all this summer but over years.
E.g - we sign Kiernan (200k)I have no idea of wage but for ease of maths I'm going to say 6k! that's 500K right there. We need 10 players approx 500k x 10 = 5 million!
Thats npt chump change for us. Now I get my figures are vague but its just an idea.
Secondly as much as I love Bougy and we Nacho they are done. Christ I loved Goughy but you have to let go. We will have new heroes!
Lastly not every tactic used by Warburton will work, we will lose games. Some of the signings will be a let down or not do well. If you sign 10 and 7 do well then that is a success!
We need to look forward! I for one can't wait on this new era! We are bringing in an ethos that will hopefully see Rangers become what we should be, a quality team playing attractive football and putting ourselves in a sound financial situation.
Thanks!

Exactly, we need to always remember the last couple of years of pain.
MW and the board have a plan and we should support them.
So far so good, definetly moving in the right direction.

Fantastic post mate, couldn't agree more. The one thing I will say is the players we have signed and been linked with also the two boys on trial are all young lads who are desperate to progress. Like all scottish clubs we are a selling club so bringing in these boys and hoping to make some cash on them in the near future is the aim while bringing through our own youth.
I can't wait for the season start!!

I'm sorry BlueG., but your post falls down in line 2. It was not the fans who invented the fact that DK stated that we required an immediate injection of cash, from his family pension fund. This did not, and will not, happen. Again the short term funding is via loans, and season ticket money, that will clear the loans apart from Ashley's.
Your rhetoric on spending might be correct but the question must be asked ------ Where are we better off under the Ranger's men?

Agree0 Disagree2

29 Jun 2015 19:03:30
Agree with most of your post OP although you do seem to be suggesting that it is somehow Dave King who is paying for Kiernan when it will be fans buying season tickets that will be doing that.

And if DK wants to avoid criticism from fans then maybe he should not have said that he would overinvest and spend whatever it takes to get out of the Championship.

Stuart AC - "Young lads who are desperate to progress". Are you seriously exited by these turkeys? Young lads let go by there clubs and desperate for any deal from anyone more like. How come Eustace hasn't signed on the dotted line? Waiting for a deal from Carlisle or some such. We are shopping around in the bargain bins again I am so angry. Call that over investment? All Dave King has to say is "for every pound the Gers fans invest I will put in the same before the season starts" then I might get interested. And Stevie May is on £22k a week I have it on othority.

Billy b. I get your point but I think people need to read closer. This is an investment by King not throwing money away. I for one don't want his cash. We need to become self sufficient. If he puts money in temporarily. great. But he should get it back. Or most of it at least.
The difference between Rangers men and Ashley? No offence but that's a ridiculous question.Ashley wanted to take money out of the club for himself! King may not throw a fortune in but he won't siphon off millions either.

Common sense a rare quality amongst some of our doubting or over zealous posters/fans.

King by the very virtue we are functioning as a club and buying players plus signed up the potentially best management partnership we have had since Dick and Bert, is 100% putting £££ into Rangers.

Are we constantly hearing stories of money worries or borrowings or the Electric getting cut off? NO! Are we worrying over insane wage packages for endless "Consultants" and "Directors" not worth a penny? MO! Are we hearing of crazy bonuses for "Directors" anymore? NO!

The game has changed Rangers fans running rangers and 2 appointments to the board of highly respected business/football experts.

The future is in safe hands we just need to support the team it is that simpleI love the fact we are now talking about exciting transfer and loanee rumours rather than front page criminal investigations and the pilfering of multi millions of Rangers fans money by a board of shady persons.

Does anybody know anytning about Doncaster full back Wabara? Apparently he is at Murray Park this week with a view to signing. Also, according to the papers, Stevie May and Jason Holt are targets.

Who was Larson before the great unwashed picked him up. And what a gem the guy turned out to be . It can be down to the manager. Just look at the guy that took Norwich up. Same squad different manager fresh approach. All the Timmy forums were giving Liewell pelters for Ronnie Two Fingers last year, even your forums were awash with hate mail.
