We're all in agreement on here that we need at least one striker and two if we sell alfredo morelos. We all have our own opinions of which striker (s), we'd want rangers to sign, within reason and our budget of course! We're linked with a lot of good strikers as we all know and have read about, but the truth is that gerrard and wilson are quite rightly keeping their cards close to their chest, to which none of us or the media know which striker (s),
we're likely to sign. Hand on heart here fellow bears, i don't want celtic to get ivan toney 🙏He would bang goals in up here for fun and really is a terrific all round striker. I just wish we had the money to try and buy him from peterborough. I've always said to replace morelos, if he gets sold, i'd want either karlan grant or ivan toney. I always stated grant would be my first choice, but he would be even more expensive than toney and my second choice would be toney, as i rate him highly. If the ANTHILL MOB get toney, they could sell edouard the morra for big money, because IMHO toney would without doubt fill that gap with ease. Commom rangers if there's a way try and sign toney! 🙏
If we could sign toney, it could be the difference in us winning 55!👌

With reference to Toney I reckon we need to play a bit of a game to push his price up into the eight figure category so that if Celtic do sign him then they pay over the odds but hopefully, in the process they are beaten by an EPL Team. In reality, with our current Board and the lack of the promised Investment from the Far East, we will be lucky to sign anyone for more than a couple of £million, unless we sell Morelos.

Why don't we leave Saturdays squad to SG and his team. I'm not sure Alfie would finish 90 minutes against them without a red card, especially if there is no agreement on any move. I said in another post, play Murphy at 9 with Kent and Haji supplying the ammunition, and also contributing with goals.

May hopefully help us. If were at home and not winning by half time and definitely by 60mins the atmosphere can sometimes become toxic and the players then become nervous amd cagey as too scared to make a mistake.

Agree Paul, sometimes despite being the best fans in the world we lack a wee bit of patience. Some unusual results in other leagues that finished their season with no crowds so fingers crossed It affects them.
I hope we look at this first fixture, which in my opinion is the second hardest fixture we play, and take the attitude of going out and laying a marker down!

I think it will help us given that our fans give the team about 30 seconds to get a goal then its just negativity spewing from the stands.
Also on the flip side of that half of our players haven't got the bottle to play at a packed Ibrox when the pressure is coming from the stands so all in all good for us i reckon.

agreed, our fans can be the best in the world when things are going well. they can be the 12th man for the opposition if things aren't going so well. teams know that and that's why they wait until 2nd half until they make genuine moves forward.

Think it will only help up. Our side is the stronger on paper than everyside in the league bar Celtic. Therefore without crown influence you can assume we should be stronger on the pitch. I know its not quite as simple as that and that it obv would be the same for celtic. Especially in some of these away games on poor pitches where other teams get a lift off playing infront out fans.

I'm seeing that we are being linked with Josh Maja and Mirko Maric, both valued around £4-5M. If we sign them both does that mean we are going to change formation to accommodate 2 big money strikers. Seems like a big change this close to the season starting. Also if we sign them both soending a further £2M on Cosgrove or Dykes doesn't sound good value for someone that probably won't get a game and will end up 4th choice behind them and Defoe.

Pity, he tore Julien apart twice and Helander and offer something totally different to what we have.

No one got excited when we signed Billy Dodds, arid Walllace, Steven Thompson etc either and when we tried and failed to sign Scott McDonald, we wouldn’t be going for 55, we would be going for 56!

Now, were off to a winning start, undefeated in pre season so the players have had that winning mentality. Aberdeen is a totally different game, they will put up some fight against us. To be honest I'm a bit concerned as we haven't really improved our team from last season. Yes Hagi and Kent are on fire but Aberdeen will sit in and frustrate us and that's when we loose focus only for them to step up. I wish I could say I'm confident of a victory.

I'm usually a positive person but that's where we dropped points last season. We couldn't handle the teams who sat in and deffend ( boring football ) We couldn't break those teams. As I've said Hagi and Kent have started well, with Defoe injured and Morelos head in the clouds it's a slight concern. We need to get 3 points straight away . Celtic will destroy Hamilton.

If he goes to West Ham his cv will look good.
Since 2017 the lad has been at Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Rangers then mb West Ham.
He came to us as he could sign a pro contract at 16, now he is 17 he can sign a pro contract in England.
His plan was never to stay, his contract is up in 11 months, he has consistently refused to consider any extension.
