I like the hard line stance Gerrard seems to have made regarding poor attitudes of some players going back to the Liverpool under 23 game Lafferty, grezda, barisic, coulibaly not in the squad at wkend and maybe never again! This is the right decision if players not up to task with poor application attitude etc get them out asap. Big Lafferty should know better he's so lucky to get a second chance and blew it . well done Stevie Gerrard exactly what Graeme souness should have done.

I don't really think Stevie G should get credit for that as he's only saying what everyone else is thinking. Remember he brought those players to Ibrox. So for me, why should he get credit for that?

That’s the thing he brought them to Ibrox so dropping them like that shows he won’t take any crap. Weather you new in the door or are there for years you don’t show desired commitment you won’t be there for long. So in my eyes he deserves credit. Some signings work out some don’t hopefully more will work than not going forward.

Agree, set a standard and live by it is the only way the players will respect a manager . looked like he was that angered he was about to name them aswel! Think he’s got his players he wants to build around now so think if we get off to a flyer next season then 55 will be here while the manky mob rebuild a team 😂.

Yup Sir Rock, the hooligan bigot element at our club are the ones you refer to.
The bigotry element at both clubs seems to be getting worse, no friendly ribbing is the norm now and that for me is a great shame.
We all have true friends of the other religion in all walks of life, so why not just live and let live on the footie side of it. Then again some will never change or want to change.

Paul, think that attitude re death of great footballer appalling. Fact two Celtic Lisbon lions pass away in quick k succession should not detract from level of remembrance and respect. We are Glasgow Rangers and this attitude makes us seem like some provincial nobodies. We are not. We are Glasgow Rangers, one of most famous clubs in world. Our words of respect to death of player means something. You should remember that.

Just watched the recorded Sportscene from the weekend. These muppets Stewart and Thompson get worse, especially Stewart. The man is bitter and unpleasant and can't say a good word about Rangers. Surprise, surprise, he didn't think that the penalties were penalties. What a sad person he is. Thompson isn't much better. Imagine Stewart, Sutton and Walker on a night out! Three pints of bitter please.

Katic should absolutely not be ashamed of himself, that's utter nonsense. We have been on the end of as many bad calls as other teams this season, he just did what all smart players do around the globe and that is give the ref a decision to make and you maybe get something from it. Sinclair does it all the time for that mob and gets the plaudits, not to mention big Katic was brilliant the other day, so no he should not be ashamed of himself at all and if it wasn't for him winning us 2 pens we may not have won the game, so maybe you should actually thank him for being sly.

Gerrard said he'd have a tough decision to make once Morelos suspension was over. No he doesn't. Rangers have played some of their best football beginning the 2nd half kickoff at Parkhead followed by 12 points from 4 games and 11 scored 1 conceded. Just knowing we'll finish a match with 11 men is a relief.

Cannot see any changes to this eleven in the next 3 games unless injuries force them. Probably a couple of young lads at Killie last day will get a run out however Alfie will come from the bench I think.

Really hope Stevie G isn't after SPL players like Greg it's not good enough if Rangers are to win the league next season then 3-4M has to be spent on each individual player like a good 3 players of that calibre marquee signings atleast 3 needed that's my opinion some may disagree but Gerrard has a good base like a cake but comes up short because he doesn't have the cherry on top that's been our season I'd like to read what others think of our season but for me we are getting closer DK MUST back Stevie in the summer I believe we are another 3 Ryan Kent's calibre away from winning the league title.

Jim, the pre contract spl players will replace the current squad players we have. Gerrard more or less said that the squad players we have are not good enough when he described the first half v liverpool u23's as embarressing. There will be hope that hastie pushes on in the first team. let's be honest, with the impact kamara has made let's not write off the likes of stewart or jones too soon. I remember when we signed neil mccann as a squad player, turned out to be a regular starter. The team just now we haven't seen before this season, we are playing some great stuff and have a dig about us, I do agree that kent is a key player. 👍.

Good point Coldo, I’ve been critical over the years with SPL players to and some have turned out to be excellent for us!
Agreed Kamara has been fantastic, so composed and calm under pressure. Can only see him getting better! I think Jones will do well, SG seems to like fast wingers so hopefully he can make the step up.

as much as kent is a talent and a joy to watch at times, does any1 else agree that he won't be as big a loss as people seem to think?
6 goals and 4 assists from 24 league games is not good enough for a club like rangers who dominate games
he is good on the ball but lacks final product most of the time.

Stewart is a very good footballer imo and Jones will also do well i think. The future"s bright. On a side note if, and it's a very big if, the sheep somehow manage to win next week, is it game on again? Fire up the helicopter!

Seeker, you're an eternal optimist. Think best we can hope is we continue same team without Morelos and continue to hope they drop points. Instance thought killie could and should have scored against them and at least should have taken points off them. If this continues, we continue 100%, we might just narrow margin, but no helicopter yet afraid.

I'm sure the sheep game is at Pittodrie. If they somehow manage a win and we beat Hibs and then them the following week it would be 3 points going into the last game. The goal difference (4-5 goals) could be made up with their 2 defeats and our 2 wins. That reslly would be squeaky bum time lol.

Seeker, really hope your right and I would love to see them under pressure because it’s something they haven’t had to deal with the last few years. But after seeing Aberdeen’s ambition yesterday there is no way they will beat them. They really are a pathetic excuse for a football team. They went 1-0 down and you would’ve thought it was them holding on to a goal lead. Think that’s why it’s more frustrating that we’ve had so many bad results against them this season.

Surely every team are out to beat their opposition and are expected to do so. Sorry Steve, but you are beginning to sound like the old Lenny (never his fault) .
Even when the manks undoubtedly let the sheep win last season to ensure we did not get second spot should not allow you to have such an attitude and lose the dignity we all believe you have.

Good performance from the team yesterday. The only criticism I had was there was no recognised striker on the bench. If lafferty isn't up to the task then why not call up young mebude from the youth team?
He was outstanding in the youth cup final i thought.

Davis is still a class act and to think there was people on here saying he was done! As for Defoe if we sell fredo and we bring in a decent striker I think he will revert back to back up striker but he can still certainly do a job for us! To be successful next year we will need 3 maybe 4 quality signings to start in the 11! I haven’t seen enough of Stewart are Hastie to make any claims about them as for Jones I’ve only seen him play against us and the handful of times he’s played for NI and he’s certainly got potential but I’d be surprised if he was starting next season.

As Coop has always argued Davis’s corner and of course the Ulster guys still rate the wee guy, I hope Rangers is his last team, one more year? As for Jones I like the guy but of course the jury is out, once again I’m bias and would love him to be a star for Rangers, but we’ll wait and see, Kent will cost big money although another loan could be a possibility? All depends if Liverpool want him off their books, or a decent offer comes in for him, it’s said a few clubs are watching. Katic was class again, aberdeen had nothing to offer against us. If mcinnes wants to moan to hide the fact that he parked the bus then let him. After the first pen aberdeen came out and tried to play but we wear tearing them apart and it was quite obvious that mcinnes told them to sit in again. Both were deserved pens and if it wasn't for their keeper then it could have been 3-0 at HT. 👍.

Katic has made a big difference and never shies away from a challange. Plus he is a goal threat. I hope his personal problems are behind him now and he kicks on to become the great player a lot of our fans think he will be. There is a lot to like about us just now while they are limping towards the line. One result at rubbishtodrie on Saturday and it's back in the melting pot, mark my words.
