Any Bears out there worried about Rangers NOT being in SPFL next year can sleep well now as it is more or less a concluded deal between the League and Sky that they will expand the league to incorporate Rangers , Hibs QoS Motherwell and St Mirren NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME OF THE PLAYOFFS though being blunt and honest I believe the small print states that they are only concerned about Old Firm games returning.

I can reveal my source also is from a Sky Accounting Department email and the only reason I got a hold of this is a certain party relevant in the negotiations was involved in a 'relationship' outside the marriage zone with said accounts person and was showing off. I am sure this will end up in the DR any time soon so I thought best to put peoples mind at rest.

I have NEVER claimed insider info before unlike our resident Manager Survey Panel - jr tennent, so you can judge for yourself if I am talking mince like waur pal jr or genuine . which I assure you it is.

The ONLY reason this has not been news to date is the sale of tickets and commercial deals for the playoffs, these would crash and burn plus the undoubted excitement the provide would be ruined were the facts actually revealed before them

So Bears keep the heid and maybe understand exavctly why there is no panic in the Rangers boardroom such buying out of contract options and also why Mr McCall is providing lists of signings for next year, these are all based on our promotion.

One sad note the same mole I received this info from has said that Vuckic and any other fit players will be off back to Newcastle very soon as the accounts nightmare is a lot worse than we have heard to date regarding Llambass and Leach deals tied up when they knew they were for the off, apparently the bonuses they requested to sever their contracts have also been done and transferred prior to the vote date.

Regardless SPFL here we come and let's dump the 12 out of contract wasters that cost us millions and did NOT actually help our cause.

I posted weeks ago that if rfc aren't promoted there will be a rushed deal to expand the spfl to get them in it of they have failed by earning there rite to play

{Ed039's Note - Oh no, someone must have stole your idea ........

29 Apr 2015 17:53:32
Kt.i am seriously sceptical about your info.can you imagine the fallout from dignity fc if this was true.however if your right I will donate £50 to a charity of your choice

{Ed039's Note - I will hold you to that)

29 Apr 2015 18:21:48
Ed039, if this is true, iam outraged but wouldn't be surprised.
Time to get writing some letters.

{Ed039's Note - If its true then your own man is well behind it)

Think lawell misses us! The league should be expanded if we go up or not 12 is far too small a league.

i must consult with jr first can't see this being true when j r did not have the scoop from the corridors of power he will be miffed ed with the s p fl sponsorship it maybe as posted ed what's your thoughts or is it jist hot air

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - It wouldn't surprise me at all, a new sponsor and TV deals would demand it, but I personally couldn't see it being pushed through, sporting integrity would take precedence wouldn't you think?)

29 Apr 2015 19:29:45
aye that's right but whose version of sporting integrity?

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 19:54:46
Ed, My opinion ,for what its worth, is that if the sfa announce on Monday that the spfl is to be expanded to 16 teams then great up we go but if they wait til after the play offs and we did not make it then there is no way I would want promoted under those conditions.

Ed039. Absolutely I am a man of my word.

I would be very surprised if this were true. All member clubs would have had to sign up to this agreement. And I don't believe that it would not have leaked by now if it were really true (despite the incompetence of the Scottish media).

29 Apr 2015 21:47:12
Even by the joke standards of the Scottish footballing authorities the idea of playing a set of playoff matches and then declaring them meaningless in a move that actually goes against their own rules on changes to the league setup requiring at least another year strikes me as a step too far.

They may be a laughing stock but they are not quite that stupid.

I would love for this to be the case but I can't really see the SFA and SPFL making this much of a change. At would cause mahem.

If the spl is to be extended it won't be until the following season, is there not some bylaw that states that?
On tv money, the money received is very poor (and always has been) especially when you look at the ridiculous money that the epl gets.

The newspaper is reporting this morning that the spfl are very close to tying up a deal with bookmakers betfred to become the new sponsor of all the spfl leagues, this would be a good partnership as betfred are a big name and will inject much needed revenue into scottish football,at last they've found a sponsor the question being what took neil doncaster so long?

I'll tell you its because none of them has a scooby how to run scottish football, totally inept in my opinion!

Believable6 Unbelievable17

29 Apr 2015 13:42:17
aye but the biggest drawback for investors is a rank bad product not who is running the show let's face our football comes into the mickey mouse category now and much due to the fact that rangers were demoted to the bottom league when rangers games are televised that's the only times viewing figures are on a par to other leagues

Agree4 Disagree4

29 Apr 2015 15:25:04
The blame lays squarely with the SPFL. They were so short sighted that they had no idea how to sell their own product once their attempt to shoe-horn Rangers into the top flight failed. It appears that they had no plan b. I expect that an assumption that Rangers will get promotion this season allowed them revisit their one and only sale pitch from three years ago.

29 Apr 2015 15:47:03
We all know why its took them so long to get a sponsor:)

With nillwall and Wigan relegated from the championship in England, there a few players I think could do a job for us,

Mark Beevers Cb
Lee Gregory Striker
Jason Pearce Cb

Would we be able to sign players like this or is it unrealistic? I am not saying we will or anything just wondering or will we be looking at even lower leagued players?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

29 Apr 2015 11:05:13
Add billy mckay to that list cracking player

Agree2 Disagree4

29 Apr 2015 11:26:10
Yeah but do you think if it is McCall in charge he would look at these players? Or will we just see guys like josh law and Scott McDonald lol

Agree1 Disagree3

29 Apr 2015 11:29:41
Mackail-smith and paddy mccourt both being released by Brighton in the summer both would do a job should we not get up this season.

Agree2 Disagree6

29 Apr 2015 12:46:18
as much of a good idea It may be to raid the English leagues, I'd rather we go to the likes of the Serie B, and possibly Spanish lower leagues, they would come for a sensible price, unlike the English leagues where EVERYONE is over priced and paid.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Apr 2015 14:47:22
We need players who are able to come in and do a job at the back straight away with possibly all centre backs except McGregor leaving I think beevers, Pearce or even Josh meekings or balatoni could come in and play next to McGregor with gasporrotto and another signing providing competition and cover. And obviously we need forwards and midfielders well a new team lol

29 Apr 2015 15:36:43
Beevers might be a good addition,he'll feel right at home among the lumps a wid we have.A damning verdict, but true nonetheless.

Sorry boys.I otter know better at ma age.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 16:42:25
no harm to paddy macourt or mickailsmith or any wigan or milwall players if they were not goodenough down there they are not what we need

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 18:28:13
The Brighton boys are too old but Jason Pearce is a very good centre half, and Beevers is hard as nails.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2015 20:26:52
CeeXXX,I agree with you mate where mark beevers is concerned,he's exactly what we need a hard tackling, solid centre half with no nonsense, still relatively young and when he was younger he was compared to arsenal legend centre half martin keown and we all know how hard & good he was,he was continually compared in style to keown and was capped very regularly through the england youth teams

Agree0 Disagree12

30 Apr 2015 07:59:15
I've nae idea how good and hard he was,but I'll take your word for it all the same. Not a bad defender in his day though.
