Some of the player valuations quoted are way off the mark. there is no way rangers would pay £2.5m for goodwillie. he is a promising young player but i can't see rangers paying more than £1.75m that's if ally even wants the player. as for berra, for me he isn't worth splashing a couple of million on. two players who i think will definately be at ibrox next season are conway & eremenko who is available for 600k.

Oh n david murray did spend a 10er fur every 5er u lot spent
that's why we dun 9 in a row ya bunnet n why we are in debt
duh

The point was that SDM didn't put down the tenner. . because he didn't have it. HMRC certainly seem to think that was money that should have been going to pay tax. All the while you were loving SDM, he was dragging your club closer to the abyss. And now you're pinning all your hopes on Craig Whyte. .no questions asked. Mind you, I suppose he's all you've got. It's him or administration. And even then, it might be administration.

Sorry GovanFR. Last word. Honest.

Why would Gers pay £1 million for Chris Maguire. When all the need to pay in £400 000 pre contract? If folk want to put names forward here. Please get the prices right.Dorrans on loan do me a favour. They rate him as a £15 million pound player. He is going nowhere, apart from a bigger EPL top 6 team.Liverpool would be a good fit for him.

Brogie82. Did you believe the papers every time they told you that the takeover was just 48hrs away. . that just a couple of things need to be ironed out? Did you believe that hilarious story about the Super Casino? What about the one where SDM said he'd put down a tenner for every fiver that Celtic spend?

The problem with both sides is they only believe what it suits them to believe. It's like the old Press adage, "don't let the truth get in the way of a good story".

Haha I see Celtic may have to split up the Green Brigade of risk losing their safety certificate. No doubt they will say this is the work of the SFA picking on Celtic. Just sit down.

C Bear likewise I hope we keep Murray Park but I could live with it if they can make an equally good training ground and if they would be making money out of it. Murray Park is one of the best training facilities in the country, easily the best in Scotland.

To the fandan that said 55 mil my arse.

Mate, he is also investing 25 mil over 5 yrs. If u can add up then u can see it comes to over 55 million. And Lloyd's aren't the only creditor rangers have, so ur blowing oot yer arse.

Goven I could defo see that happening, hope not tho cause they are great facilities and would be hard and expensive to replicate.

C Bear I agree with you. He would not take such a financial risk. I still believe MIH will be liable for any tax payments. I heard a rumour that Whyte wants to build a new training ground beside Ibrox (possibly the albion car park site) and then sell Murray Park as the land out there would be worth a lot if property developers like Ellis used it for that.

Whyte paying 55mil for rangers!stop blowing steam out your ar*e mate!roughly 24 mil to lloyds and 6 mil to minty, at a fecking push, and that's rangers owned, hes got the 85% of shares to do what he wants with the club and satisfied the creditors!he could sack the whole board n punt murray park before the ink is dry on the signature!itk

I know atheist has agreed to stop talkin about it goven, but why would whyte pay 55mil for rangers and then prepared to take another 40mil + hit?? Do u think whyte is prepared to throw away 90+mill??? Of course not. And don't say he will sell assets like ibrox. He could only sell murry park (25 mil) as ibrox is worthless to developers as it is a listed building. Players would b released if we went into administration. So a atheist why would whyte throw all his investors money away??? Stop blowing out your arse!

Graeme. I promised GovanFR I would say no more about this, so I'll keep it brief. No need to apologise for the length of your post (phnar) - at least it shows a bit of passion. All I ever asked was that people take a look and then make up their own mind. If you have put in a bit of research and are happy with what you found then fair enough. I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

I will say this about the Scottish media. Given that, as you quite rightly say, this is the biggest story in Scottish football, the lack of proper in depth, investigative coverage has been truely startling.

Anyway, cheers for your response Graeme. I hope it all works out for you, I really do.

It does the cockles of my heart good to see Atheist try and help us poor befuddled Gers fans in understanding how messed up our great club is. He really is a shining light to the new breed of Celtic fan whose driving force is love and empathy for his fellow man.
Or. . is he just a devious little man who loves to sow seeds of discontent in his enemies minds????
A takeover will happen and it will nearly definitely be Whyte as our new owner. I would rather have had Kings fortune behind us but never mind.
The sad truth for Atheist is the debt at his own club and not a single bit of shiny metal to show for it!
BTW How much was Hooper meant to be worth??? Looks like a cut price Kris Boyd to me.

Athiest, I appreciate your views but I feel your claims are unsubstantiated. The Rangers Tax Case Site is full of hyperbole and exaggerated claims, which are at best educated guesses. It is certainly interesting and does make reasonable points but the author claims to have inside knowledge which is highly questionable considering the penalties that follow from divulging business and financial information pertaining to individuals and organisations without consent. Rangers may well be screwed but it is not as 'cut and dry' as the site implies.

As for Whyte, there is not actually that much I could find on him; he seems to have a reasonable personal wealth and has been successful in most of his ventures. His first company went bust but that is very common and another of his companies was threatened with dissolution but I don't think it came to anything. Other than that I don't think he has done too much wrong or of any notice. If he had, then the Rangers Board and Sir David Murray would certainly know about it and so would the press for that matter. And before anyone claims that the press are all Rangers minded or any nonsense relating to conspiracy theories against the press just think about this:

The Ranger transfer saga is one of the biggest news stories in Scottish football in recent times; any new information on it is valuable to editors and to the general public. Do you really think not one journalist has thought 'why not do a full and thorough investigation of Whyte?'; if he/ she supported Rangers then it would benefit the team or he/ she supported Celtic then it would be something they could really enjoy releasing. But more importantly if there was info relating to dodgy dealings or that he runs business' to the ground etc then investigating and releasing the info would benefit their career and the paper they work for. I understand Stock Market regulations dictate that no information pertaining to the takeover could be released but that does not necessarily mean Whyte himself cannot be analysed and investigated - at least to the extent of a proper background check.

The Rangers board would have done a proper due diligence check - if they had any sense they would let an objective third party do it, and Whyte would also have done his investigation of Rangers finances etc. If Whyte has any business acumen he would have demanded to know the full extent of HRMC case and would have spoken to lawyers about the likelihood of Rangers getting completely screwed and the fact that he remains in place to complete the takeover is a good sign.

I don't have any inside knowledge, just trying to be rational about the situation.

Just wondering wot the rest of my fellow Gers fans think! Would you like to see a Jelavic and Naisy strike partnership next season?? I think they would be great together!

Big Blue

Would love to see that, as soon as we have enough midfielders to get Naisy up front. I think the two of them link up really well and would be a brilliant partnership. Credit to Naismith he needed a good season this year and he certainly has delivered.

GovanFR. OK, have it your way. You absolutely right, I made it all up. There is no tax case and even if there was, everyone except Rangers would be liable.

Atheist

As I said either put up some evidence or stop posting about it. You can try and patronize me but put it this way if somebody says they have info but they just don't want to share it because they want you to find out it seems like a lie. It is logic. End of discussion unless you chose to post some links.
