SPL clubs are to receive delayed payment in next week (BBC Sport 13 September).

This has gone very quite; still no second instalment to member clubs!!!!

Whats the SPHELL up to; if the money is coming in why is it not being distributed?

One for a tribunal to consider me thinks; maybe they can fine themself to bring in much need revenue.

Carling1873

Believable12 Unbelievable14

Obsessed with the spl and member clubs I see...why? You are just a fourth tier diddy team.

Briggs

Agree19 Disagree19

Surely I do not have to point out the obvious irony in your reply Briggs?

Agree8 Disagree1

F.A.O. Carling1873- Payments to SPL clubs are of no consequence to Rangers F.C. in any way, shape or form!

It doesn't matter to us what the SPL (we are not a member of that self indulgent cabal!) do with their money-they can distribute it, keep it, do they even have it? To be honest,I don't care!

Whatever financial problems the self indulgent cabal(SPL) have does not concern us!

Believable0 Unbelievable8

You need to watch these guys they seem to find a spark and step up a gear when it suits them and no point going on about how much money you earn these guys will just rub their chins

Agree6 Disagree3

Is it just my dodgy reception or does the Forres manager sound like Ally McCoist?
I was listening the the preamble to last nights Sportsound and heard what sounded like Ally saying stay in the tie, a return leg at Ibrox and a nice money earner.
Sounds about right.

I don't know about the Motherwell game, but I was sent 3 complimentary tickets for the Montrose game last Sunday. The letter from Rangers said it was because I had been to games in the past and they wanted me to come back. It also said the seats I was given were still available to buy as season tickets.

What does Green intend to do with the money raised from the share issue/floatation?
From his mumblings it can be fairly assumed that he would like to raise £30m for a 49% stake in the club.

Why when there will no scope to buy players for a year (transfer ban) and when there is no real need to strengthen an already expensively assembled squad (with wages the second highest in Scotland despite being in the 4th tier)?
Even success in the Scottish Cup would be a passage into Europe as new clubs can't compete for 3 years on that stage?

Where is Ticketus in this situation? They were involved publically in every bid to submit an offer to buy Rangers1872 before they were liquidated.
The cynicism towards Ticketus from those who would attend
Ibrox was well documented then all of a sudden a Yorkshire man, with no real apparent wealth comes on the scene refusing to disclose who was behind him because of "client confidentiality", those who he tried to associate with himself immediately dismissed any notion that they were involved.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

28 Sep 2012 16:07:25
He probably plans to take back his original investment plus interest, the current consortium will retain 51% of the shares, whats left will be invested in the club
It is not unusual in business to make money, I recall a wee man wi a bunnet did the same thing and he was thought of as a hero in the east end

With all the air time and columns that Mr Green has taken up lately , on a very frequent basis there appears to be no scrutinising by the mainstream media as to what's actually happening, we know their past failings etc but you'd think "the people" would demand more!

The £8.5m loan that Green has against Sevco, when does he intend that his be repaid?

Ticketus, why are there very strong links to this organisations parent company still apparent?

Who actually owns Ibrox and Murray Park?

These are fundamentals which have not been asked never mind answered.

When the reality of the situation bites, the comedy show will go on!

Believable13 Unbelievable11

You should read the papers, but to answer you -

1) 2020
2) going against Whyte
3) Green & consortium

As for never asked, really. It has been asked a million times by those that want to stir things up.
As for the comedy show, think you are the comic.
Why so interested in a third div team, ah yes obsession!

on clyde the other night, they said rangers dont get a penny tv,money, could someone explain why this is the case. bewildered gers fan

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Was part of the conditions on a new club joining the league they do not get any TV or competition bonus money for 3 years or something?
One of the reasons why Green like most of the Rangers fans is fed up with Oldco / Newco switch arguement everytime it does not suit Rangers.

Agree5 Disagree7

Condition of entry into Scottish Football via the back door.

Agree9 Disagree11

"condition" ..... the real word is "extortion" my friend! LB

Agree8 Disagree7

Rangers TV apearances are part of the SKy package which is negotiated by the SPL and then a payment is made to the SFL which is divided up between all SFL clubs. Rangers do get a payment for thier TV appearances, they just dont get it all, and they dont get it till the SFL pays it out to them. It's not so differrant than what happened before.

Agree11 Disagree0

Radio Clyde panel were wrong - Rangers are getting TV monies. SFL bent their rules to help Gers, while helping themselves,of course. Geo the Ger

Agree11 Disagree2

They bought the rights for 1 million so you get a percentage of that buttons really compared to what the spl teams make off it

Agree4 Disagree2

Yes they get a payment which is something in the region of 5000 ponds, which you consider that 15 games are been shown in total via sat, regardless what you think of the Rangers situation it seems obscene that you can sell the tv rights to a club they tried to rid off

All the bears who stood and supported John Brown, have you switched to Mr Green? What Brown said was pretty damning and he has never been asked to elaborate. For me there are still too many unproven statements from Mr Green.

Believable11 Unbelievable9

John Brown was like many others, winning popularity by saying everything the fans wanted to hear but without a lot of substance, and certainly zero cash coming forward.

Agree6 Disagree9

To number 1 ,just like green you mean?

Agree8 Disagree2

Well Bomber's back from his fishing trip to Alaska and is gonna be on Off the Ball tomorrow. Programme's gash but might just be worth a listen tomorrow.

Personally I find Bomber a bit of a clown but I do think he knows something very unsavoury about Green. And he has a duty now with a share issue on the way to tell the fans what that is.

BARNEY BEAR

Agree8 Disagree1

Brown was genuinely emotional and deeply concerned. It wasn't false. But he didn't have the education or skills to achieve anything. His concerns remain.

Agree7 Disagree2

Donald Findlay although an eccentric certainly has a brilliant legal mind and he thinks Green is going to harm Rangers.

Was having a chat with one of my Celtic minded mates last night, we were talking about away allocation if we were to get Celtic at home in the next round I personally don't think if we did get them at ibrox that we would give them more than 1000 tickets he thought different due to the OF agreement, but my point to him was we no longer have to follow that as we are not in spl anymore. What is everyone else's thoughts?

Cranny {Ed001's Note - it is irrelevant, clubs have to make a %age available for away fans. You can't just not give them tickets.}

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Why do we suddenly want to play Celtic? After beating a poor Motherwell side do you really think we can beat or even match Celtic. I sometimes think many people who post on this are drinking far too much. Are you forgetting the games in the third division when we barely matched our opponents. Why not take who we get and if we win great but lets not pretend everything is great again. Celtic, I believe would burst any enthusiasm we have as I think they are currently a much better team than we are. WE beat Motherwell but do you really think at the end of the season they will be top of the SPL, we need a reality check.

Agree17 Disagree3

I understand we have to give them tickets but my thinking is we would not give them as much as we would when in spl ie. the broomy I think we would give them what everyone else gets the wee corner

Just an opinion, won't ever find out unless we draw them at the brox

Cranny {Ed001's Note - there is a minimum percentage written into the rules, same in the league, I would assume it would be the same amount as were given to Motherwell. Though I haven't checked that up, it would just make sense.}

Agree4 Disagree4

I think there is a policing issue with regards to old firm ticketing, giving Celtic fans just the usual amount of tickets as other away teams would be a security nightmare.

Agree3 Disagree1

It's a minimum % of the opponents stadium.

Say 10%

Ie 10%/60,000 6,000 briefs ie Broomloan Road Stand.

Agree3 Disagree0

Having had all games at home the probability of having another is very low and keeps diminishing. More probable we would have Celtic at Celtic Park. Celtic would therefore benefit more commercially although we desperately need the funds.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd give them f all! LB

Agree3 Disagree4

If we draw celtic at ibrox keep 25,000,tickets and sell them to the rangers fans to cover there eyes during the game, CHOPSY,

Agree5 Disagree1

The percentage offered is 15% of the total capacity of the stadium, this was agreed many many years ago, and applies to all teams, in all divisions.

it's up to the away team to decide if they want the full allocation or not, as they have to pay for that percentage regardless of how many tickets they then sell...eg, st mirren wouldnt pay for around 7,000 tickets when they know they will probably only sell 1,500 or so, but celtic or rangers pretty much guarantee they will sell out their allocation

i thought this nonsense about witholding tickets and selling programs for £15 etc had been explained numerous times on this page??
maybe some people need to digest what they read instead of passing off facts they don't like as 'timmy propaganda' ?

Having watched what I felt, the best performance of a Bears team for ages. The only negative aspect I got from it was the young players not willing to take on or go into tackles with more confidence. But, I admit the pace at which they hit Motherwell especially in the second half was a joy to watch. These young lads will storm the SPL in 2/3 years so watch you backs the tic. We are on the way!

Believable3 Unbelievable9

It wasn't a great football match to watch. Rangers appeared better than they have so far only because Motherwell were so rotten. Technically rangers gave the ball away unnecessarily could string several passes together and were fortunate Motherwell were so bad. We do not want to play Celtic.

OP I enjoyed the game on wed but we also need to get out the habit of passing the ball all the way back to our keeper when we are in the other teams half, there was one occasion when we were just outside the 18yd box and two passes later the ball was with alexander
