Just watched an episode of A Question of Sport - I've not seen it for a long time - the format seems to have changed a lot with the Team Captains having to get out from behind their desks and "perform " on the studio floor . This must be a worry for Ally McCoist - I can't really see him getting his old job back even if Sue puts in a good word for him .

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Mind you, what about poor wee Lemmon? After he get's the punt next season HE might fair fancy a turn on Q of S. Running around like a headless chicken on the studio floor will be right up his street! But what happens when he get's a question wrong? No sure the great british public are ready to see Sue being abused by a frothing, slavering, bright red pussed Lemming kicking microphones about the studio... athough, anythings better than the voice!

Agree2 Disagree5

1# Lemmon,Lemming? Make your mind up or are you getting a bit excited there?Seems our leader does strange things to some of you

Agree2 Disagree0

McCoist would demand to know "who these people are" in the mystery guest round. If his team was beaten in any episode, he would threaten the oppostion team members with santions.

I wonder what sanctions the SFA @ SPL will now place on Rangers with regards to the Italian betting scandal, as I beleive one of the ball boys went to Italy on holiday with his parents last year.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

None. But they will receive sanctions for ineligible players, not paying tax, taking sfa to court, need I go on ?

Agree5 Disagree3

@1. must be great to have the moral high ground for once. Beware, what goes around comes around...two words for you..soft loans.
Comin atcha very soon.

You probably could GO ON - but like a lot of your like minded friends your beginning to sound very boring & very desperate

Hang fire - wait and see what happens!

Now back to the meditation. Ohhhmmm!

From the D&P statement

"Details of the CVA proposal have been finalised today and there has been additional consultation with certain stakeholders. We had hoped the results of this consultation would have enabled us to publish the proposal today but administrative alterations mean the document will be published tomorrow. Rangers supporters should be reassured the CVA process is on track. The creditors' meeting to consider, and hopefully approve, the CVA will be held on Thursday 14 June."

So the Creditors meeting is a day before the deadline for the SPL paper work is due in..... They pushing their luck.

Its about time that we trie supporters who love our club sort this out. We need to say NO to the creditors who are sucking the life out of our club. Tell them to get their stolen money from cw and sdm not our club who is innoccent. We need to say NO to the spl and sfa who are croosifying us with their penalties, do they not understand that it is cw and sdm who did all the crimes and not rangers. Also we must say NO to any attempt at taking our titles,, we have won more trophies than any other club and these must stay. Tangers fc have done nothing wrong and rather than placing the blame where it lies everyone wants to kick the supportes because we are the best in the world. The rangers will never die and we the supporters dont do walking away. And as for mr green he will be watched closely and if he doesnt invest in the te, i and a fewore wont be back. As for sdm i was one of the few fans who wanted him out when it was clear he wasnt giving walter the funds he needs. WATP, rangers till i die

Believable7 Unbelievable29

I am sorry my friend, but it is you and people like you that will kill your club.

You are blaming the creditors that you owe money to -you are blaming SDM for not spending even more money that wasn't there.

The WATP need to disappear and let the good Bears speak for the fans - if not, you will have no friends, and no-one to support you when you need it at SFA/SPL etc. when chairmen have to take decisions.

PLEASE STOP THIS STUPIDITY!

Good Luck, Good Bears

Gerry

Agree22 Disagree4

Oh pitys sake grow up. Creditors are owed money by Rangers ( in administration ). Just please stop whining that 'it iwzny us mister it wiz another boay.' You are all getting very tedious. Creditors are people who are OWED, yes OWED money by Rangers. They are not leeches, not millstones round the club's neck, they are people who are owed money. Is it too much to accept that fact ? Murray owned Rangers, in law it was Rangers who borrowed ergo in law it is Rangers who must pay back the debts owed. RANGERS - not Murray, not Whyte, not Green. Will you 'people' ever get your heads around that FACT ?

Agree15 Disagree4

You are a disgrace to society and to Rangers FC....JohnnyG

Agree15 Disagree3

Op , apart your morally reprehensible thoughts in which you screw everyone , for something rangers as a club did , and you get away scot free , is the lowest you can get , is that why you dont leave your name .

rickster

Agree14 Disagree3

You dont do walking away....then you say if he dosent invest you and all others wont be back, well thats walking away is it not? you really need to take a break from your club because you are making yourself look more and more dumb with each day that passes. so DM is and has put you in all this you want him punished but not the club even though he was with you for 20 years in charge, so you accept the cheated trophies and count them. since you count them, you have to take responsibility that he is your club and so your club needs to be punished. how sad are all of yous that think DM should be punished and not the club yet you gladly accept all the trophies and money that he had to cheat to get them. does that make sence? NO, stop being a baby and instead of saying everyone is having a go maybe you should try and take it and start from the begining to rebuild your club and name, unfortunatly you should change your name because rangers will always be known for corruptness and cheating now.

Agree11 Disagree3

This must be a wind up cos no one is that stupid. No reason or validity to this post.If genuine, you are finished

Agree12 Disagree3

Do you not understand that your club benefited from all these creditors at one time or another and it should be your club that in turn now pays them back? You are clearly a very deluded guy who wants to blame everyone else so that your club escapes scot free but I'm afraid it doesn't work like that. You enjoyed the good times when the money was flowing now you should suffer the bad times when the money has to be paid back. It's life and sh!t happens.... Get over it. Briggs

Agree10 Disagree3

Hey briggs ,,you really dont like antone eh.....probably arrogant to every person who crosses your path....its just a wee bitta banter get over it and your anger while your at it...deecee...or as you would say...deecay...ha

Agree1 Disagree9

Hey decay, yet again another stupid post from yourself! I like most people that i meet because I'm an easy going guy I'm in no way arrogant, far from it but you along with the op are the kind of guys who get my back up by not understanding that as a club rangers MUST be punished for any wrong doing that they have done. All decent rangers fans accept this and are hoping for a good outcome at the end of it. So maybe you should take a leaf out of their book and start thinking along those lines...so....ha Briggs

Agree6 Disagree4

WATP you are not very well educated , Murray and Whyte were the owners of RANGERS so their actions were on behalf of RANGERS , these damn creditors you are downing , not RANGERS are the innocent party here , RANGERS owe these teams and companies millions of pounds , but idiots like you think they should just let RANGERS off with these debts , the SFA/SPL are not kicking RANGERS when they are down , they are applying the rules to a club who are breaking them , everyone and every business is required by LAW to pay TAX , but you and your ilk seem to think RANGERS are a special case , no you arent , so stop acting like a plonker Nobby .

Rangers in court of session tomorrow challenging SFA transfer ban.
Players temporary contracts expire on Friday.
Letter to Creditors offering pennies in pound gets posted tomorrow morning.
I guess Rapid Vienna and Hearts will receive it for their player sales monies owed.
Accounts, fully audited and signed off, to SPL by 16th June.

Believable3 Unbelievable14

Rangers (and Scottish football) are punished by EUFA for court case.
Rangers have to find £x million from no income source just to stand still.
Creditors would be better with few Ibrox seats as garden chairs and the silverware as outdoor toilets than accept this pittance.
Hearts not actually due the £800000 till next year or it would have come from the £900000 2nd place prize money.
Accounts audited by 16th June just possible if Rangers can find an auditor retiring on that day who will take a suitcase of cash as hi fee.

so 1p in the pound for cva,who thinks this is going to get accepted, bearing in mind craig whyte blatantly didnt pay tax HMRC rules state anyone who blatantly doesent pay tax will not get any deals, definitely NEWCO

Believable15 Unbelievable3

If mr green thinks anything close to 1p in the pound will be accepted he must be clearly as insane as the motherwell billionaire/multi millionaire/millionaire /venture capitalist.surely mr green and his 20 investors could come up with more wonga to pay the creditors.

Agree12 Disagree1

Next season we will have a warchest to challenge. Don't think so Mr. Green. He must think the creditors are mugs. If they except this the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Most of the small creditors are Rangers fans. 1p in the pound. Sorry for putting your wee company out of business but will you still be paying for your box, we need the cash. Mr. Green GTF another conman!!!!!!!!

Agree9 Disagree2

Newco has no chance of being accepted. WATP mob and Mr. Jardine have just added more fuel to the fire that was lit by DM. Every football fan outside Rangers now wants the most embarrasing element of Scottish football put to rest. RIP

Agree11 Disagree5

HMRC gets the same from liquidation and cannot be seen to be beaten by rangers.

Agree10 Disagree5

It won't be newco. And even if it is, it's still Rangers. Does it matter whether it's CVA or newco??

Just a point on "the most succesful club in the world" ridiculous statement. With only celtic on a level playing field and spending other peoples money, 54 totles is hardly an acievement.

Believable14 Unbelievable8

So all your titles(including the 1966 one that got you into the 1967 European Cup) are worthless because they were won in a two team league? Not only have we won more titles , but we have finished second more often than Celtic...Celtic only finished second twice during our 9 in a row run, whilst we were second for most of theirs......remember, you lot went 19 years with one title....take our EBT titles off....still won more than Celtic.....the EBT thing covers a 10 year period when we won max 4 titles.....

Agree5 Disagree9

Because its a two horse race it is worth nothing?
You haven't stopped going out about one title win, that wouldn't have happened without our problems.
Jealousy is a terrible thing

Agree2 Disagree6

Guys, op here, actually a rangers fan. Bottom line here is that 54 scottish titles is the equivalent of about ten in england. Sorry but its true. The old club is an embarrassment.

Agree6 Disagree2

Rangers fan?...a la Graham Speirs?...can't compare,. can you?Spain a two horse race, England a two horse race...what's your point? we are where we are, we can only win what we are in....

Agree3 Disagree1

Must be a truly successful club to make such a complete mess of its affairs that it kills itself so many ways that I for one have lost count. What does it matter how many battles Napoleon or Hitler won?
They lost the big one and so have Rangers. They have no future.

Agree6 Disagree3

I agree you can only beat what is in front of you, the 67 and 72 Rangers teams got to European finals but didn't win the league those seasons. Dundee Utd didn't win the league when getting to the UEFA Cup Final in 87 but beat Barcelona home and away during their campaign. More recently, both old firm recent UEFA final runs came with domestic defeat (league wise). So I think the comment is a bit unfair. Only one country in Europe has two cities where two teams have appeared in the European Cup semi final, it's not Spain, England, Italy, Germany, Russia, Holland or France, it's Scotland (Glasgow & Dundee). We have produced some good teams over the years despite it primarily being a two horse race.

Starting to think Mr Green is only moving the chairs in the Titanic, its gone to quiet over the last couple days, plus this not revealing the names of all of the so called backers, should be interesting to see what he's offering in the CVA.

If the rumours are true Naismith is away to Everton, is he a sacrifice to keep Rangers ticking along for a few more weeks or is he the first of many to leave. Part of me thinks back a few weeks ago when the players took a pay cut and his alleged stalling to take the pay cut could have something to do with it.

ED, would the insurance company paid Naismith wages during the time he was injured?

Das Shadow {Ed001's Note - yes, his wages will have been covered by insurance.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

It was posted on here that Naismith was one of the last players to sign up to the wage deal, but got the usual "jog on timmy"treatment. Also as far as im aware the insurance only pay 75% of an injured players wages.

Agree0 Disagree1

CVA = 1p in the pound. Wooohooo!! I bet the creditors will be jumping for joy and realising it was worth the wait. Of course after the "robbers" sorry, D&P take their cut there won't be much left. Still as I said, worth waiting for !!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree4

Provided the premium installments were paid...

Agree1 Disagree1

We don't know it's 1p yet. Just said "pence in the pound", pence being plural so it's at least 2p!!

Baffled as to how gers can be stripped of titles for ebts, as stated this was not illegal, if someone advises you to use a scheme to save money you do it, doesnt mean you couldnt afford to pay the money, if someone says, pay your mortgage this way and you'll save cash you would do it, doesnt mean I couldnt afford to pay it,so this cannot be proved as cheating, nobody could proof if gers had the money to pay without using ebts, simply impossible. {Ed014's Note - The talk of stripping titles has nothing at all to do with the EBT case.

Believable7 Unbelievable13

Ed, that is not strictly true. As the non contractual payments to players that the SFA and SPL are investigating is very closely linked to the EBT case as it is through this EBT mechanism that rangers made such payments. {Ed014's Note - Sorry. My mistake there.I was looking at a post about Sion at the same time and got confused lol.Stuck in work in this heat is not good!.

Agree1 Disagree1

Stripping SPL titles by SPL is based on payments being made outside SPL registered contracts.

EBTs were the mechanisms but the payments were not contractually registered with SPL.

The court case will decide if the crown views the payments as wage payments or loans.... This ruling will put the SPL situation beyond doubt.

Agree3 Disagree0

Just as an aside, the idea that rangers could afford it has proven itself inaccurate as they are now insolvent pre btc
Nevis

Agree3 Disagree2

The EBTs don't need to be proven by the crown to have been basically wage type payments (but it helps). The SPL only needs to decide if their regulation has been broken in that players got money outside their contract registered with SPL. Which they did. Prima face established without doubt.

Agree3 Disagree2

@4 Way off the mark mate. If was that easy why all the investigation ad the administrators having to supply the docs? Prima Face! been reading the RTC again? The payments to the EBT scheme were published in the audited accounts from 2001. The RTC case even tells you that. So the SFA and SPL have known about the payments since 2001 and have done nothing about them. No chance.
So tell me Sherlock why didn't they act in 2001? Why wait till now?

Agree3 Disagree1

5. You are correct as usual the likes of 4 pick and choose which bits they take notice of if it doesn't suit their agenda. These are discretionary payments and do not have to advised to SPL or SFA.

Agree1 Disagree1

5 and 6# What rubbish. The fact that they were not loans, what EBT's were set up for,Means they were part of a salary package and should have been disclosed. It is amazing how you cant get this.

Agree2 Disagree0

@7 Well why don't you contact the three judges that have been deliberating over this same case for some time now and tell them they were not loans and part of a salary package. FFS could have saved us all this time and am sure they will be glad of your expert opinion.
What's your viewpoint on world peace and when do you think celtic will get into the English League?

Agree0 Disagree1

5 & 6 The accounts submitted to HMIT (as was) would have shown payments as loans under the EBT. The tax man must accept that the accounts presented to him are an honest reflection of the business. Any other approach is just unworkable. Even a suspicion is noted but given the benefit of the doubt. Tax collecting is not easy. They are always conscious of the bad public relations when they get something wrong. Then the suspicious incidents build up. Then there is a decision made to investigate quietly without disturbing the chickens. Then, when they are sure that they have a credible case and it justifies the effort they emerge from cover and "go huntin' bear"(to coin phrase).

Well today is CVA D day a CVA needs to be posted out to creditors today to give them enough time to consider it before the creditors meeting and vote.

Previous bidders had stated the time had run out on a CVA.

I'm sure the details will become public knowledge. I believe an attempt at CVA is commendable, however, surely a NewCo is the only real option for clearing all known and unknown debts, contracts and toxicity.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

28 May 2012 07:37:24
the charles green gang dont have the funding we need to go forward, he will walk away in the next 14 days leaving rangers and scottish football in turmoil. a newco will be rushed into the spl with sanctions suspended for 12 months!!! welcome back the blue knights, the only group left standing, yet another catastrophy by duff and phelps........

Believable9 Unbelievable9

That may well be the end game. Green is trying to get the club on the cheap (like none of his own money, just other vague investors) and I really don't see him being around if it's newco time. Yes, D&P said "unconditional" but nobody would sign an agreement like this without some kind of way out if the wrong things happen.

Been overseas for a week but nothing much has changed. So SDM has now topped the EBT table? Just like SFG [now FG] in banking circles, we have been conned by the men at the top - with them laughing all the way to the bank. Another one who needs to have his knighthood reviewed!

This was posted on another football forum yesterday evening:

"Could the 'nuclear option' be linked to money laundering?"

“Well I have been debating all afternoon whether or not I should post this but here goes. My best friend is a solicitor and works for the foreign office and has told me that South Africa have applied for international arrest warrants for Dave King and David Murray. The foreign office have so far rejected all calls for this as the police, HMRC and SOCA are investigating what they say is one of the biggest money laundering schemes Scotland has ever seen and believe they have a case under UK jurisdiction.

South Africa believe that King has laundered up to £100 million through the Murray Group but my pal says as of yet there is no reason to believe any of the money went through Rangers. The money that has went through the Murray group may have bounced of up to 20 ‘dummy’ companies in countries like Barbados, Zimbabwe, Brazil and Scotland and were set up to buy ore metals from each other even though each company had no physical ore deposits. They apparently have rock solid evidence of this that would implicate King, King’s mother and David Murray. They are arguing that the people supposedly in charge of Kings trust are in fact fictional people as so far they have been unable to trace any of the declared trustees.

SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency) have had forensic investigators combing through Murray International holdings accounts for 6 months now and the list of possible money laundering just keeps growing. MURRAY SPORTS LIMITED which IS associated with Rangers have declared assets of under £10,000 yet have received loans of up to £40 million. There is no evidence to suggest this involves Dave King but certainly may indite Murray and apparently (I really have been doubting this) some very high ranking officials with the former Bank Of Scotland. Llyods have handed dossiers over to SOCA and the Police that show historic accounts from BOS handling of Murray Internationals accounts. The dossiers contained documents that BOS and Murray thought had been destroyed but the ‘Carbon Copies’ that were used to copy the hard documents where not destroyed and were digitalised when Llyods took over BOS.

Murray and King have had an injunction put in place to stop media reports on this and an appeal has been lodged by a major news organisation.

As soon as I find out any more I will let you guys know. The guy is my best friend and I have no reason to not believe him as he is very high ranking in his position.”

Believable13 Unbelievable10

Says it all with your first sentence m8.
This was taken from another football forum yesterday evening. Now I wonder where that could be.

Agree5 Disagree4

Well m8 if murray and king took out a injunction to stop media reporting it u better hope u or your lawyer freinds names stay annonomous or u could be in deep s--t lol.Now anyway it would not surprise me one bit if this was true because there is defo something fishy about SDM and i think hes about to be taken down i just hope there is still something left of rangers by the time its all finished.

Doubt that the post is true but this is. Many years ago -at the time of the 9/11 bombing - we were in holiday and met up with a couple from Sunderland. He had worked for the old NCB buying pit props and when steel one came int vogue he came to MIM as a buyer. What he encountered horrified him. He was to get a lot of money in his pocket for every order but he realised that he would have been compromised from day one if he had accepted. He left. That had taken place years before. He wasn't bragging but it stuck in my mind.
