{Ed001's Note - just to say, I would rule out Jonny Ertl, he is highly unlikely to move north of the border due to his missus. She has a very good job, based in Northampton, for the English FA and a budding career as a singer, she has recorded a few tracks with a friend of mine.}

Some good young targets there lol

please get a grip. tb

Agree0 Disagree2

Most of those are a tad too old! Do you think they will want to have lumps kicked out of them in low league football?

Agree0 Disagree2

Great sell on value, heehaw!

Agree0 Disagree1

Not heard of most of them, but under McCoists guidance any ability they have would be wasted, it wouldn't matter if Barcelona gave us their full team McCoist would play exactly the same way. awful.
We need to get a real manager in and give him money to sign the players he wants in the positions the team needs rather than buying cheap rubbish and sticking them on in any position.
Basically Green and co need to remember we are a football club first and foremost, there might be some money that he can make but not if we don't pay it, I have no interest in watching the current dross and will not part with a further penny until McCoist has been sacked and we have a proper manager and players with more ability than the part timers who are humiliating us.

Cheers OP. Just been reading your list of players that you would like to see signing and you've made me spill my tea and drop my cornflakes all over myself due to convulsions of laughter. Where did you get this list. Did Chucky reveal them when he was on his comedy roadshow tour. Comedy gold. DH

Dont know what everyone thinks, but I would take Daly in a minute, would certainly do a job, and I would hope that his attitude/workload would rub off on others, [no names required]

Believable14 Unbelievable7

We can mention the best players available for signing, but until we have a management and coaching staff in place we could make Ronaldo and Messi look ordinary. Get the coaching structure correct and then any talent in players will surface.

Agree11 Disagree1

Re 1] yeah agree but you still need ability and attitude to start with, and right now we have quite a few with neither.

Agree3 Disagree1

Daly is not the way ahead for Rangers. He is far too old. The only way forward is to buy young players further develop them then sell them on. Nicky Law fits that bill

Agree4 Disagree5

Nothing against Jon Daly but I think he's too similar to lee mcculloch, is he what we're really looking for or need?
Hutton2

Agree4 Disagree7

@3: and you think they would really develop under this management team?!

Agree7 Disagree2

This nonsense is making us a laughing stock, stop posting such pxxh,

lets just post evry player in britain eh? wot a sad shower, this is rangers ffs, do we not still have requirements to be a gers player?
unbelievable drivel, Tommyblue

Agree5 Disagree4

Personally, I'm in no rush. I'd be much happier with a developing group of young players than continuing to be a retirement home and pension fund. Trouble is, any genuine young talent out there would have to be mental to come anywhere near us with our current coaching set up. We're already in the process of ruining the young talent we already have.

Baybear

Agree2 Disagree1

@5 yeah your right mate need to get rid of current management team before any player develops

Agree2 Disagree1

@ 4 Daly like McCulloch?. When did Daly ever try to injure a player, or get them sent off by throwing himself to the ground

ok I know we can't sign players until January but when we can buy players why not go for nahki wells from bradford he's small but he's quick and has scored quite a few for bradford this season I seen him playing in the fa cup and I was impressed and he's got a lot of time to get better as he's only 22 what do you all think
AndyBear98 {The Ed039's Note - We wont look at Wells because Bradford have been quoting Championship teams £1m plus for him)

Believable2 Unbelievable1

What about Rooney think he could do a job, not bad during the week. what does everyone tbink?

think rangers should look at lyle taylor and kris doolan from falkirk and thistle 2 promising forwards

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Lyle Taylor? Liz Taylor is quicker than him and she is in a coffin.

Agree2 Disagree0

@1 Can't be any slower than Hemmings
Tam

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Mar 2013 19:15:29
Lyle Taylor would be a good transfer target.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Totally agree posted a few weeks ago that Lyle Taylor would be worth a look.
Top scorer in Scotland 21 goals.

Agree2 Disagree2

Lyle Taylor has scored 21 GOALS and Andy Little 22.

Agree2 Disagree1

Your right mate, taylor would be a good signing if we didn't have a hemmings, same type of player, coached differently, evidently. Under this backroom regime our current youth squad with never reach the hights players like taylor are hitting. We shouldn't need to add to wage bill, nurturing our youngsters correctly is the way forward, like we all keep saying, unfortunately some folk don't share the same mantra

Agree2 Disagree1

Ed I've worried virtually from day 1 about Charles green, I'm more convinced than ever that we could be back at square 1 if not worse, I don't believe a single word of what he says, my main concern is way ally is still manager? It's not because of his management skills, so why keep him? Any thoughts ed? Has your opinion of green changed? {The Ed039's Note - I like the guy, I would be interested to see year end accounts and what his plans are for next season, but liking the guy and agreeing with his business plan are 2 different things, I dont think the business model has ever been right and Ally is part of that business plan, and everyone knows my views on Ally, legend - hell yes, manager - hell no)

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Easy - pay off ally cost money, sack ally still pay him money. Ally offers to 'leave' no money.

Green properly knows McCoist is hopeless but if anyone new comes in then they want a transfer budget which again costs money. Accounts will be very interesting bearing in mind the naming right will be involved in that account too.

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree3

At sheffield green brought in poor players that were expensive and sold the team, same here tried to sell team but they tuped off, brought in players, poor quality but on huge undisclosed salaries, only when sandaza caught do we find how bad.

no debt was claim, truth is worse than before, who owns stadium, £2 million for a car park when trying to rebuild. if back in admi what good a car park for rebuilding a team. worse now than before

Agree5 Disagree1

The car park is a money maker, I'm sure you buy a season ticket for it, not too sure of the prices though, but it can certainly fit an awful lot of cars in, I'm sure the £2m will be paid off relatively quickly.
Hutton2

Agree3 Disagree2

It looks like you might be right.

Agree3 Disagree0

3) the car park season ticket was £250 reduced last year to £200. There must be 1500 places. Good money

Agree0 Disagree2

N5 the car park is open to the public 6 days a week good earner cheers

Ed,
Any idea when we're being given the list of options for the renaming of Ibrox? or what the options may be?
Personally I'm against it under this regime as I think it's just another way to make a quick buck for Chuck.

Baybear {The Ed039's Note - Was Sports Direct not announced?)

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Still waiting for the Murray park name change!

Agree7 Disagree0

Yeah Ed, I know it's Sports Direct but was the agreement (by 300 supporters club representatives?!?!?) that it was fine as long as it had Ibrox in the title? We were then told options would be posted on the club website to vote on. I'd like to point out that those 300 don't represent me. In fact, I'm getting pretty sick of being 'represented' by effin' supporters groups that don't ever ask my opinion!

Baybear {The Ed039's Note - They dont represent me either mate, nor any mates I have been going to games with for years)

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2013 17:01:31
The season is over now! so who cares who ally puts on the pitch the title has been won div 3 job done!

Lets now concentrate on getting rid of deadwood and brining in some decent free agents to strengthen the squad and help us move forward next season.

Let the young lads get as much experience as possible while we can.
*ksd*

Believable13 Unbelievable6

Getting rid of the dead wood is going to be hard. Who in their right mind will pay players like Sandaza, Black, Cribari & Faure the wages they are currently on? If Rangers release them it will cost us money we don't have. We don't have enough good enough youth players either at the moment. I doubt there will be that much movement in the summer and not many new players coming in after the embargo ends. Rangers have done the same thing in the summer that got them into trouble in the first place. Namely paying poor players more money than we can afford

Agree9 Disagree7

28 Mar 2013 13:43:21
Ed any truth in this nonsense about the ASA investigating Rangers or is this just more mischief started by the eastenders? PB {The Ed039's Note - I dont know sorry, might be mischevies, might not be, nothing would surprise me to be honest)

Believable8 Unbelievable17

Seems to have a ring of truth to it. Might this be related to the dip in share prices?

Agree7 Disagree8

Dont listen to it bud its just them being there normal jealous selfs they are now trying to claim to being the most succesfull team in scotland looooooooool what a joke they are this is the last thing they have to cling on to. 54 and counting we welcome the chase
trueblue

Agree14 Disagree13

@2.
Yeh it, s all our fault that Chuckles can't keep his mouth shut so it drives down the price, bet you Peter put him up to it it's a Celtic conspiracy and Chuckle's and Ally are in on it FFS

Rangers’ moves for two new signings could be scuppered by SFL rules - and their own players.

Ally McCoist is reportedly keen on Honduran midfielder Arnold Peralta and Mexican striker Alan Pulido. Both are available on free transfers at the end of the season, but as the duo are non-EU nationals they will need work permits.

The SFL only have 20 spots for non-EU players across the leagues, and limit these to three per club. If Rangers bring back American Carlos Bocanegra and Romanian Doran Goian from their loans it will put the Gers over their quota, and McCoist will have to give up the chase of one of his targets. {The Ed039's Note - Romania joined the EU on 1st Januaruy 2007, Goian does not need a work permit to work here, Romanian's need some sort of registration document to be here working, but not a work permit, and a few of my Romanian colleagues have advised me that this registration document will no longer be needed in the near future)

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Romania get full membership soon. Daily mail run stories daily about how they are going to invade the uk soon lol

Agree4 Disagree0

Ed, this is the current status on Romanian's from the UKBA website.

From 1st January 2007, as European Economic Area (EEA) nationals, Romanians have been able to move and reside freely in any EU Member State. Romanian nationals wanting to work in the UK will need to obtain authorisation to work before starting any employment, unless they are exempt from doing so.

Most categories of employment will require your employer to obtain a work permit before you apply for an accession worker card.

However, in certain permit-free categories you will only have to apply for an accession worker card.

These categories are:

* airport-based operational ground staff of an overseas airline
*au pair placements
*domestic workers in a private household
*ministers of religion, missionaries or members of a religious order
*overseas government employment
postgraduate doctors, dentists and trainee general practitioners
*private servants in a diplomatic household
*representatives of an overseas newspaper; news agency or broadcasting agency
sole representatives
*teachers or language assistants on an approved exchange scheme
*overseas qualified nurses coming for a period of supervised practice

Agree1 Disagree2

Romanians as EU citizens can visit and stay in the country, but their employer needs to obtain a work permit to employ them. This only applies to Romanians and Bulgarians.

Agree1 Disagree2

Romania, Bulgaria and others are not full members of eu. Their full memberships are being delayed as they don't meet the financial targets. Their citizens cannot freely move within eu with regards to employment.

Green/ McCoist know this and are deliberately targeting non viable international players they can not sign up. Thus blaming SFL, SFA, etc. For not signing anyone. Why not target viable players from European 500 million people?

Agree4 Disagree2

The border agency is getting scraped. And immigration tightened up. Why would the government allow a Mexican or Honduran in to play bottom tier football taking a uk players job and only playing part timers? That cannot be justified.

Agree3 Disagree2

SFL div1 should get all twenty spots. It would be amazing for work visas to be issued for div2 and div3. That level of football/ employment does not merit awarding foreigners visas and work permits.
What div in England is the cut off for foreigners?

Agree2 Disagree2

28 Mar 2013 17:16:38
they let in buskers & beggars to UK so surely a footballer

Agree3 Disagree4

What's happened to the conveyor belt of young talent coming out of Murray Park? Let's get the young lads in and build a team for the future! Sounds like your willing to waste more money on nonentities!

Agree5 Disagree1

Lets have it right, goian and boca Won't be back so what's the problem with signing other non eu, s!

Just a point for us fans to ponder,

john brown would have been a godsend in this rangers dressing room, simply because he wouldn't have allowed certain, players, to treat playing for rangers as just another job, it isn't, nor is playing for celtic, bomber has faced total hostility from people who used to be heavily involved at dundee, at the top level simply because he is a ranger thru and thru, certain things were said in the dundee directo
rs. Box
x. Rece'ntlmy when bomber and butcher came down the tunnel together regarding bombers background, I dkont mean make him manager, but walter knew bombers worth at ibrox, do u think john would watch as the likes of black puts a gers, john put his neck on the line and allowed his emotions to get the better of him, he wasn't the only one during this period, certain things were said to him behind close doors, ttbop on and then plays like a spoilt bully?

Believable11 Unbelievable13

What's your point? If things were said in the Dundee directors box, how did he land the job? Do you remember the stories that were circulating when he coached the youths? A bully is not needed, a good forward thinking coach is.

Agree8 Disagree3

28 Mar 2013 17:18:01

op here. just tp point out my keypad was playing up. , sum strange replies,, and to the guy who talks of how he got the job at dundee if things were said in the directors box,, not everyone in the directors box, is a drector kiddo, some used to be < do u get me?, certain people at that club do not want bomber there, and not for football reasons, believe me or dont, I don't care, I am simply telling you sum unsavoury things were said by 2 former bigshots at dunde, if its any help, they were brothers, while bombers family were sat behind them, are u getting me yet?, all I was saying was that john would not have allowed players at rangers to treat the club as a job, its a way of life, and i'm pretty sure people such as roy aitken and peter grant wouldn't allow celtic to have such players either, tommyblue
