Happy with the latest rangers signings but they need a proper centre forward Dave king where's your money can't you afford at least 2 million on one player.

28 Jun 2016 21:49:56
What forward would you buy for 2 million i personally don't know but trust warbs and tbh the last place i want to be is spending big on players, you don't have to spend big for half decent players you have to be smart, out of the scottish league 2 million is nothing for a player.

28 Jun 2016 21:00:03
Couldn't agree more mate. I wonder if that's the type of loan signing that we will go for though? . If you think about it, say we sign a centre half, we could get 2 strikers/ attackers on loan. We surely don't need a midfielder after that because imo we'll have the best midfield in the league.

What I would say is keep the faith mate. The new regime haven't let us down yet!

Best we've looked for years - and that was before the new signings.

29 Jun 2016 00:20:37
Nouha Dicko.

29 Jun 2016 02:29:10
Are we looking at this guy first I've heard of him?

28 Jun 2016 17:56:50
These big signings are a great for Scottish football brilliant to see us moving forward instead of backward, I would have laughed if you said we would get Barton and they would get dembele we needed a real goal scorer before this but now it's a must waggy is not a out and out goalscorer.

28 Jun 2016 20:00:29
Still think we need a centre back with pace who can sit in and sweep behind Kiernan or hill who have the height we need to be the ball winner in the air. Also a pacey forward to run at defenders and can finish as well. Obviously our cash is limited but if we are willing to hit the lower leagues in England then I'm sure we could do the same in France, Germany etc and not just be constantly linked with players Warbs or Mcpaland know and have worked with before.

28 Jun 2016 22:19:33
Crooks will be our CB nxt to Hill me thinks lads.

28 Jun 2016 19:19:43
Would like to se MW make signings to build a squad for the future. Too many links to 30+ experienced players. Some are only rumours from "good sources" as we are told but we have just signed 3 players with great experience don't think we need anymore.

28 Jun 2016 21:11:30
I think we'll have a good balance of age and experience this season.

29 Jun 2016 02:32:26
Hope Warbs givs Hardie some game time, lge cup group great chance for him and some others to step up.

29 Jun 2016 12:50:20
We do now with Barton hill and krankjar coming in I think we lacked it last season but with experience comes age and I think we have all the experience we need. Some more younger players is what we need.

28 Jun 2016 18:36:32
I must admit I'm impressed by Celtics first signing, the kind of talented youngster our game needs! On brighter note, I'm even more impressed by the attention to detail from the board regarding appointing a new Head Development Squad Coach to replace Durrant. Ensuring the perfect fit through a thorough and demanding recruitment process for these roles is what will eventually propel us beyond the other lot and back into our rightful place as one of the worlds biggest and most exciting clubs!

28 Jun 2016 18:36:15
Celtic have just signed a cracker, and they will make millions on him, it's good to see Scottish football attracting quality players again, roll on August, can't wait to see the Rangers.

28 Jun 2016 19:06:00
Surprising to see him come to Scotland, a bit like Rossiter I suppose. Good for Scottish football overall and it's come on leaps and bounds in only 12 months! Strachan replaced by a talented football coach with fresh ideas and things will be looking OK north of the wall.

28 Jun 2016 21:10:30
A real find by celtic 15 goals in 156 games man Utd Chelsea city Liverpool Barcelona real and Bayern all wanted him but th manky mob offered him more ha ha.

29 Jun 2016 00:42:20
19 goals in 65 I've read.

He is a good signing for them; decent players are coming in because with us back in it, there is now a reason to be involved in the SPFL!

28 Jun 2016 18:24:30
American international defender Oguchi Onyewu training with Rangers.

28 Jun 2016 20:26:24
He's been rotten for years, looked a promising player pre ac Milan days but seriously this is not good enough.

28 Jun 2016 18:19:13
Hope we don't sign lafferty watching him in the wales game just showed us what we would be getting from him. NOTHING.

28 Jun 2016 19:42:00
Another over the hill player. Not played in 2 years. NK has had 7 games in 2 years. JS only a few games in a few years (due to bad injuries) . The same goes for the goalkeeper. Hill and JB it seems like retirement pay for them.

28 Jun 2016 18:01:44
Told you players would be training with rangers in America.

28 Jun 2016 18:37:44
Aye but not him u didn't u named 2 decent players.

28 Jun 2016 17:33:46
Sorry to dissapoint but their won't be any marquee striker coming in, as its obvious we have no money to spend.
I'm not complaining about the quality of players we have signed, I think the gaffer has excelled in this window so far.
The days of a million plus signings are long gone, the sooner everyone realizes this the better.
But reality check time, I don't think we can win the league with free transfers and loans.
One off games yes but over a full season I'm not so sure.
I hope I'm proved wrong.

28 Jun 2016 18:09:18
Window hasn't even opened yet so we can't spend any money we can only get pre contracts in just now.

28 Jun 2016 18:11:55
Gees oh mate your life must be hard with all that negativity you have a ball hasn't even been kicked yet and you have us losing the league.

28 Jun 2016 19:32:14
I believe the rossiter signing is a massive coupe just because he never cost money doesn't make him a marquee signing.

28 Jun 2016 18:38:53
Jorgethehammer we won the league with free signings and free transfers last time, so what's the diffrence mate? a harder league you will say eh, remember we beat killie, dundee, celtic, with these players we had (hibs v rangers cup final) so now that we have strengthened i don't see any big problems next season, in saying that, ime not saying will win the league, but i honestly think saying we will be there, or there abouts, imho.

28 Jun 2016 20:20:44
It's a harder league to suggest otherwise is nonsense! we will need to be better.

28 Jun 2016 21:19:15
Ryan? Its a harder league? Is this the harder league we beat 3 teams from last season? I honestly don't know who hibs put out to reach the cup final, but ide imagine they beat a team or two from thismharder league you speak of, i don't think there's much diffrence from this better league, than the top 4 maybe even6 teams that finished the championship league, if there was could you explain why two championship teams reached the cup final, remembering falkirk of course, they finished runners up to us,

28 Jun 2016 21:21:12
It won't take a lot to win in this league and all money fans going on about Brenda, think back to Liverpool £250 million spent to win nowt they finished 2nd 1 year but that was because of Suarez.

29 Jun 2016 00:08:14
who he never signed.

28 Jun 2016 17:33:46
Sorry to dissapoint but their won't be any marquee striker coming in, as its obvious we have no money to spend.

28 Jun 2016 17:17:41
Look Celtic made a ok signing from the championship. But I keep getting told that our signing of the summer will be out striker, I can tell you it won't be will with song from NI, nor lafferty, nor Bradshaw or anyone that's been spoken about as far as I can see on here, I'm telling you out striker may shock a few. Honestly guys just wait and see, don't think warbs will not want a leathal finisher in the mix. like I say just wait, and don't fret about who Celtic are buying.

28 Jun 2016 19:29:54
Jay, you have me excited but where are you keep hearing this from? Any clues for us?

28 Jun 2016 17:07:28
Now that Celtic have shown there hand with the quality signing of the very talented youngster Moussa Dembele. It's now very important that we get a striker that will score 20 plus a season. Now weather we need to spend money to get that type of striker or not is up for debate. But it's vitally important we get this signing right. I hope Warburton, s target is in the same quality bracket as Kranjcar and Burton. If it is we, ll have a very good season if not we may struggle to score enough goals this season.

29 Jun 2016 02:10:31
Heared this Dembele boy is a bit ogre a prima donna, can see him spitting out the dummy if CL goes tats up or the thumb gets the nod in front of him, wait and see Bears, they've got huge amounts of pressure and expectation and a panic 45k a week CB is prob on cards too.

28 Jun 2016 16:21:18
Moussa Dembele, good signing if Celtic get him, but let's just remember something, he's scored 15 goals in 56 games, so he isn't exactly world class, our defence will deal with him and every other player they have.

28 Jun 2016 15:45:23
Seen a few posts saying we shouldn't spend and stuff let Celtic blow there money well they've just signed a real diamond of a player in young dembele the lads got it all and for a mere 500,000 development fee don't think his wages will be anywhere near 35 to 40 grand a week as seen on an earlier post.

When Warbs came in we were told it's a 3 year plan to get back to the champions league if my memory serves me right although I'm happy with our signings so far we still need a right quality striker that's going to get at least 20+ a season.

Also if they keep signing undoubted quality we will need to spend something surely. I know dk said we will not be spending beyond our means like in the past but We are not going to get every quality player for free if they spend there money well guys does it not mean we will have to spend also to achieve the 3 year goal of being Scotland's champions and bavk in the champions league?

Thoughts.

28 Jun 2016 16:20:18
Dembele is a decent young player but celtic didn't splash the cash they got him on a free apart from a development fee and window doesn't open until 1st july so how do you know king won't spend money.

28 Jun 2016 17:51:40
You don't think he's on at least £30k? Just look at how much Brenda's on!

28 Jun 2016 18:48:39
Lwdawson, how much do you think rogers is on? before you answer that question i would like also to ask if you believe in the newspapers? i hope you don't.

28 Jun 2016 16:14:31
Who is warbs was talking about 'at the euros'.

I'm not sure who we can afford 'at the euros'? .

Will Grigg or Stuart Dallas.

28 Jun 2016 16:33:21
Hodson? Kanu?

28 Jun 2016 16:36:24
Mate, it's Lee Hodson, he is at the Euro's so he wouldn't go with the team straight away to train.

28 Jun 2016 16:00:19
Kyle Lafferty would jump at the chance to rejoin Rangers. It's time we forgot about what what happened 4 years ago. If these players stayed do you really think Rangers would have seen any of the money? Imo Lafferty has only improved and would be a great addition.

28 Jun 2016 17:52:58
I'll never forget! He's a parasite!

28 Jun 2016 15:31:18
Shots fired! Rotherham bid of 250k plus add ons rejected by Walsall for Bradshaw. If he truly is a target that gives us more understanding of the cost involved.

28 Jun 2016 15:04:22
Mw saying we will sign someone early this week the reporter asked if he will be flying out later and mw said he's been at the euros so he's at the euros so he won't be flying out, source sky.

28 Jun 2016 15:22:16
It's Hodge - the utility backup player.

28 Jun 2016 12:56:14
Celtic signing Dembele have to say it be a good signing for them but I'm worried that he'd rip our defense to shreds kids a top player don't get why MW never went in for him, I'd say we need a bit more pacey at the back now someone like Mariappa.

28 Jun 2016 13:18:57
Pretty shocked by this one. Trumps every signing we have made, by a distance. He will do very well for them then get sold on for a fortune.

Why on earth did we not try and get him? Instead were are signing a utility squad player from NI. Yipeeeee.

28 Jun 2016 13:19:49
MW probably didn't go 4 him because he'll be looking for 30-40 grand a week . Man u, Liverpool, spurs all interested plus dortmund. We can't and shouldn't be trying to compete with that YET.

28 Jun 2016 13:44:12
I said after Celtic got Rodgers that Celtic would sing a couple of high quality players and got laughed at, Celtic have money to spend and they are going to spend at least 10/ 15 million this summer, dermot Desmond will bank roll Celtic under Rodgers just like he did under Martin o, neill, also remember they get a large proportion of cash from shirt sales and other merchandise, wer as we get peanuts, so unfortunately we won't be able to compete with them until we get some serious cash flowing into the club again, also Celtic park will be sold out next year, which is more cash, but we will fight for every point and give 100% commitment next year and that's all you can ask for imo.

28 Jun 2016 14:00:25
Would be totally shocked if Celtic pulled this off. But fair play if they did, it's another positive for Scottish football cause a number of big teams were looking at this boy. This doesn't mean tho that this will hand him them the title, let them spend 10-15 million, it doesn't guarantee success either. All we have to do is concentrate on out own team.

28 Jun 2016 14:10:05
He's scored 19 in 65 games, hardly a world beater. I'd be more worried about what Griffiths will do. He does have potential though, but I think had any of the teams above been serious about him they would have got him. And if PSG were serious they wouldn't have let him go in the first place.
Let's just wait and see who our Striker is going to be before throwing the toys out the pram please. And The FB who we are getting is exactly what we need, cover for both LB and RB in one signing and someone to push Tav on, for free.

28 Jun 2016 14:22:46
If he is that good why go to a league on par with the English 1st division?

28 Jun 2016 14:44:25
First team football, European football and the old firm. Aberdeen, Hearts, Celtic, Rangers are all top teams and would do well in the Championship. Scottish footballs on the up well the league is anyway.

28 Jun 2016 14:46:22
There only paying 500,000 in compensation 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈.

28 Jun 2016 14:50:10
Have to admit this is a great signing and piece of business by Celtic. Regardless we will focus on our strengths, compete with and beat them.

28 Jun 2016 14:51:01
What is the big deal about the kid? Cause he had a good season? Also he'll be asking for quite the wage. Spurs offered him 20k and then fulham offered him a new 4 year deal, to come to Scotland he must be asking for 30k a week?

28 Jun 2016 15:03:40
He's having a medical today, so it looks like it's going to happen.

You have to bury your head pretty deep to not see this is a major coup for them.

He's 19 so I don't understand how anyone can question his scoring rate or his potential. He moved on from psg to get game time - with ibrahimovic cavanni and lavezzi ahead of him at the time. I thought we had pulled off the biggest coup in rossiter but looks like the soap dodgers have other ideas.

28 Jun 2016 15:15:12
Only. similar signing deal as the liverpool boy we got only he has played a full season for fulham and scored goals. really good signing imo.

28 Jun 2016 15:39:22
everyone forgetting here its all about the rangers .
they can go get messi for all I care they still won't beat us and our manager will do the business and don't think for a second they can buy the league! he won't do any better than griffo done last season.
and we will get our 55th title.

28 Jun 2016 15:52:47
Jesus luigi, getting a bit carried away there I think, definitely lad has plenty potential but your talking like we should be throwing in the towel! Wow, are our signings, management team and style of football not good enough? Jesus wept man, we're not even finished our own window shopping.

28 Jun 2016 15:55:30
Luigi, Personally I know nothing of the kid other than he had one good season, so barely burying my head. Like Rossiter, I'll judge when he plays up here.

28 Jun 2016 16:08:21
i knew they would spend big, that's why they got Rodgers in the first place, not surprised.

28 Jun 2016 17:57:58
The boy has potential, but that's all it is just now. Potential. He's only 19. How many players fail to live up to potential.

Not saying it's not a great signing, it clearly is and I would have loves him with Rangers, but the way some people are going on you'd be forgiven for thinking they actually got Ibra!

28 Jun 2016 18:54:35
Jerso spend big? they will pay a higher development fee because he played for a premier league team. 500 grand allegedly.

28 Jun 2016 12:05:53
sorry if I upset a few Tav fans, but I think he must be a standby player, be canny run, pass or tackle, he would be good if it was American football where we could bring him on for the free kicks, but every week you see the opposing teams play down Rangers right side because of him.

28 Jun 2016 12:42:58
Have to agree with this. I like Tav and he loves it up here but he can't defend. If we played 4-4-2 he'd make a decent right winger but Hibs intentionally attacked that right side and caused havoc. If the rumours are true about Hodson I think he'll be a cracking signing. Not flashy going forward but solid.

28 Jun 2016 13:00:27
one of our best players last season and only had three bad games and done a great defensive job against celt*c!
exactly what more do you want from a modern fullback?

plus he scored a lot from open play and scored a ridiculous amount for a fb.

I know its your opinion but u r wrong mate!

28 Jun 2016 14:25:40
I agree with James Stirling. Tav played and defended well when it mattered most. People will remember the Final as it's the last games and it was huge but he was clearly not 100% fit, and had played every minute of every game over a long season up until then. Rangers fans can be so harsh on their own players it can be embarrassing sometimes. His goals and assists were priceless to us all season. If he still looks shaky with a better CDM in front of him and a more solid back 2 then I'll be worried.
Look at Walker last night, rips teams up week in week out for Spurs but can get caught out sometimes. Would every manager in the EPL still like him? Of course they would, It's modern football. I think people don't realise what is happening in our formation. To play that type of 4-3-3 that the likes of Barcelona and Spurs do you must have ATTACKING full backs. Spurs have Rose/ Walker Barcelona have Alba/ Alves. It's the only way it works when teams are parking the bus every time if your FB's are overlapping and actually producing an end product most times. It's how to break stubborn teams down. Wallace and Tav did it countless times last year with a great final product, either crosses or goals. Look at how many we scored compared to how many we conceded, in fact Tav and Wallace probably scored and created more between them than we conceded altogether.

28 Jun 2016 15:08:11
He was exposed each and every time he came up against a half decent left sided midfielder. Not just in a few games at end of season.

For example he got roasted at Morton in the midweek evening game, that was a bout 1/ 3rd of season to go.

Yes he done well initially, but he's been found out and if I was setting a team against us I would encourage balls to be played down left channel all night long.

28 Jun 2016 15:45:05
well put recbob some people live in the dark ages when it comes to fb's but that being said our fullbacks will bomb forward next season but they won't have the chance to do it as much as they have done in the championship and they will know that they are not daft! neither is our manager and hodson is cover at best he won't get a game unless in the cup games and / or if one of our fulbacks get injured!

28 Jun 2016 16:35:25
He played a lot of games more than he's ever probably played in a season, hopefully this season he will be a bit more consistent throughout the season.

28 Jun 2016 11:52:39
I see big lafferty in the paper today saying he would love a dream move back to rangers but he doesn't know if our fans would welcome him back, me personally wouldn't mind him back, but in all honesty i really don't know if most of our fans feel the same as me, I just think if he can give us something different upfront that we don't have at the minute.
What is other people's opinion?

28 Jun 2016 12:08:52
I would have him back if our management want him. I'm sure he scored the title winning goals 3 seasons in a row. Was always a bit inconsistent but he was a young lad. Everybody deserves a second chance in life but not a third.

28 Jun 2016 13:03:02
guy wasn't good enough the first time around!

I never did like him think he does a lot of running about without the ball and was a bit like samaras could have a wee bit of magic here and there but for the biggest part he was awefull!
hope mw can c he is terrible.

28 Jun 2016 13:10:10
Wouldn't have him back he only wants to come back as his career has stalled. Walked out on the club and has done very little since leaving. Sure there are better options out there.

28 Jun 2016 13:19:13
he regretting leaving us good long may that last I didn't want him to stay anyway he flopped for N/ I and flopps everywhere he goes he is simple not good enough!

28 Jun 2016 15:47:05
can just see it now celtic sign dumbele rangers response kyle laffatme! no thanks.

28 Jun 2016 16:36:20
People need to stop living in the past and holding a grudge, he's a good player. What if we hadn't wanted Walter Smith back after he walked out the 1st time?

28 Jun 2016 11:18:19
Has Matt Gilks officially signed for us? I was on the bbc transfers page and it says he signed for us on 24/ 06/ 16 but I've not heard anything official.

28 Jun 2016 11:39:36
Yes, take a look at the official site. He started training with the squad immediately.

28 Jun 2016 00:30:42
It's Vladimir weiss.

28 Jun 2016 02:20:41
Wishful thinking!

28 Jun 2016 07:18:21
This would be a fantastic signing wee vlad the lad.

28 Jun 2016 11:56:50
It's not were vlad, he's out of our price range just now, but I would love the wee man back at ibrox one day.

28 Jun 2016 13:04:52
just signed a three year deal wi sum mob from qutar or something basically playing for nobodys.
