ally saying that war chest will be open in jan 14 plenty of people wanting to sign

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Brilliant! Spend money on transfers. Add to the wage bill. Can you not see where this is heading? Administration by February. All part of the spivs plan i'm afraid.

We should be looking at players who are out of contract next year, contact their agents to register our interest ( if we can) then we don't need to pay anything for them except a sign on fee, what u all think?

I thought our midfield were excellent today and in particular nicky law & ian black looked tremendous together, without doubt nicky law was the man of the match but also a special mention to Ian black who I thought was terrific and complemented nicky law tremendously well in our midfield, I've posted on here on numerous occasions that ian black is a very good midfielder although by his standards he was below par last season which a lot was down to him not doing a pre season due to his double hernia op, he just never got going last season but watch him go this season, black is by a distance the best holding midfielder we have at rangers, what do all my fellow rangers fans think?BIG RAM!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets not get carried away eh. Albion were possibly the worst team to ever play live on telly, they never put five passes together.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 remember that's the same standard of team that we struggled against on several occasions last season, there were obvious signs of improvement in the performance yesterday. Even our fitness level seems to have improved and I noticed Faure and Hutton have lost a fair bit of weight in pre season

Hopefully we can get through two rounds of the league cup in August and then let's see our strongest team on the park

Ian Black is a liability, it would have been difficult not to look decent against albion rovers, the worst team since Tahiti! I would like to know when he became our "deadball expert" as he has an absolutely sh£$%te delivery. It was also noticable that when posters were chosing their ideal starting 11 he was never mentioned. He is a waste of a wage!

Really good win today, the new formation looks good, with 3 people joining strikers all the time from midfield. It will only work with attacking full backs, so cannot afford to play Hegarty at right back this season as that type of move would ruin balance. Finally Law was outstanding today in every area of his game, and showed why he was player I most wanted to sign this season. Well Done Super Ally

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets keep it going. I know it was only Albion but we really need to be solid in defence. I just hope they show better mental attitude than last year.

Why are we after another striker when we have Daly, little, Clark, mcculloch.
Also if nicky Clark was that good why are we picking daly over him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ally like walter will always go for experience over youth now that the under 21 rule has been binned ally will bin the youth as well

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest mate I think little was picked over him as we could only play two trialists. Daly is a leader and a big strong centre forward, the kind we have been needing. So think he'll play almost every game. He got two assists today and linked up really well bringing the midfield into the attack. If it wasn't for his two goals I would've given the man of the match to Daly as opposed to Law.

First competitive game of the season so not too bad. Nicky Law looks a real player but two youngsters for me gave real hope for optimism. Gallacher in goal was excellent- no need for an expensive number two to Bell- give the youngster his chance. Mcausland was assured throughout and did well going forward at the end.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

While I agree that we don't need another gk its a bit ott saying he was excellent v albion a recall 1 save of sorts n its the sort of save tht if he didn't make ud b asking questions

Well played lads, good solid performance Law and Black were particularly good, McCulloch was excellent also, I liked the fact that the team played one twos and tried to play the ball on the deck!

Good to see Ian Black has brought his midfield general roll from last season into the first competitive game of this season!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Niether was Durrant. that's it both are away.

£7k a week, he must be chuckling to himself.

2) I think that was one of Black's best performance's in a rangers shirt yet and I ain't saying that just cause he scored! Did help though, I think we could see the best of black this season if he stays away from yellow and red cards, also would be good to see him against better teams, what you's think?

Anyone else notice that Walter wasn't wearing the Rangers tie?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What! My god that's dispicible, has the man no shame? Get a life

Agree0 Disagree0

How what tie did here wear? RIFC tie? Sevco 5088 tie? A sports direct tie? Surely that's a pull up for Monday morning for smith, verbal warning.

Never knew it was a fashion contest as well as a football game.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I've got a life mate, just think it would've looked a bit more professional for the chairman of the club to be wearing the same tie as the others. Only an observation so calm down.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guys right get a life maybe the wife forgot to wash it gee the guy peace!u mind wear your right work clothes the morra don't want u getting a warning

4)@3 totally agree with you mate everybody else had on the rangers tie and when manager and normally in his. New role he has always wore one, don't know what that was about, and novo what was that about as well and with the T-shirt?

Agree0 Disagree0

This thought was barely worth saying out loud never mind posting it on here.

G93

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 actually I do have to wear the correct uniform when I go to work. Reason being because its professional and shows unity, something which I think our club needs right now. Yes it was a very minor observation but that's all it was, so calm down people.

Excited for the game today. Good luvk boys. I think it will be 2. 1 rangers with a macloed goal.

I93

Believable0 Unbelievable0

With this team and the opponents less than a five goal margin will be disappointing.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1the team might need time to gel but predicting they'll get skelped by five or more on their first competitive outing is a bit harsh I no the new signings are very average but at least give them a chance
Thommyj

I just think it will be a broken game because of tge pitch and weather so will be a real scrap I93

read in fridays chip-paper derek johnstone saying wee could win scottish or league cup if wee avoid the people with the players we have bought I don't think so I think allys new signings are not good enought what do u think worried bear watp

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ure correct, nowhere near good enough and if anyone thinks diferent, let's just pray we don't draw sellik, and give Ugly Betty what he prays for, a tie against Rangers and a chance to put his name in the record books for ever as the guy who humilliated Rangers, Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Avoid what people?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate the term 'worried bear' that shows you are judging and criticising already. It's not fair to judge before anything happens and why worry? As the saying goes its like walking around with and umbrella up waiting for it to rain. Enjoy the trip back to the top with great compassion and support from the famous Glasgow rangers fans!

WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

The players we have bought are of good calibre to compete in cups and storm this league one malarkey. Don't be so pessimistic, we're in a much stronger position to make headway on all fronts now than last season and if we don't win any cups or even compete, it'll be disappointing but not the be all and end all. As long as we get out this league that's the main concern. What is it your worried about exactly? Ruggy bear

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 why do you need another name in the history book to humiliate the rangerd how many pages doed this book have already murray, findlay, white, green, ally, jabbaand sandaza god just about every one associated with old/new rangers over the past five years name must be in this book it must be like the yella pages

Agree0 Disagree0

For all the people scared/worried about meeting celtic NOW you know what Mathers bought 8 top flight players. Most if not all have played at SPL standard before and I am sure boys like MacLeod and Clark will rise to the occasion. TBH I do not want face tims until earliest end of year or poss league cup final. I think our biggest worry is Ally seems to not have it tactics wise BUT AS A TRUE BEAR I am prepared give him 2 seasons WITH signings and preseason he deserves that for sticking with us after Whytemare. We are a long way from a good SPL team but we are only in 2nd phase of our return. I know one thing our whole season means excitment and fun. Celtic IF put out by Swedish team SEASON OVER. WATP. george

Agree0 Disagree0

I've not been on this site on a regular basis for a while for a number of reasons, but I couldn’t let the comments by george @6 go by.
'Super Ally' is a very well paid football manager, who by your own admission, isn't very good, but make no mistake, he is smart enough to know that he was unlikely to have gotten another job in football, let alone one so well paid. That's why he was 'sticking with' you. And what exactly was all the hardship that he had to suffer under Whyte and during administration before the club was liquidated that would have caused him to walk away? Seems to me the greatest hardship he has had over the last few years was the constant criticism of his abilities on here by the Ibrox faithful all last season. It was like a cyber version of being put in the stocks and pelted with tomatoes. To be honest, I think I could have suffered that for a million a year and would have been ‘sticking with’ you too.
