See if rossiter was fit and we get oxford, rossiter and hyndman in midfield would be quality. great engines in the 3 of them. halliday was dreadful today passing was poor and big kiernan for me his distrabution is terrible he puts people in danger with his passes if he manages to keep them in the pitch that is.

28 Jan 2017 21:19:10
I am big critic of keirnan but thought he had his best game in a blue jersey today. He cleared his lines when he had too his passing isn't the best but he should defend first and foremost.

28 Jan 2017 22:03:52
Jaws

I lost count of the number of times Kiernan gave away possession, he was lucky not to see red for a stupid challenge and the sitter that McDonald missed in the first half was down to Kiernan not marking him similar to what happened with the Motherwell goal last week. Kiernan is rank rotten

28 Jan 2017 22:04:56
Kiernan is hopeless. Been at fault countless times and today. Canny string two passes together. Accident waiting to happen

28 Jan 2017 22:53:58
Listen guys his passing is bad and I've been on big keirnans back all season but I thought he defended better today. The macdonald sitter was down to Wallace getting caught upfield imo.

28 Jan 2017 23:00:17
Jaws

Who was supppsed to be marking McDonald?

29 Jan 2017 00:05:40
Agree with posts above a good holding midfielder a good centre half and a good left back Wallace not a great defender and escapes all the that tav gets

29 Jan 2017 00:20:28
Why did warbs sign senderos? even when Kiernan and Wilson play rubbish senderos still doesn't get a game and he's on a good wage. disny make sense

29 Jan 2017 08:47:53
The sitter mcdonald missed was due to wallace not stopping the cross.

29 Jan 2017 09:16:10
Cee

Who was supposed to be marking McDonald?

29 Jan 2017 10:22:35
I couldn't agree more with Kiernan - he can be a frustrating nightmare
For me the signing we need to get in is Oxford as he can play deep in midfield and at centre half
Add to that Kyle Bartley on a pre contract
While we are at it add Jak Alnwick as looks a good prospect with potential sell on and 250k might be a snip
I would take Moult from Motherwell as he's a good option for up front as well
Not much of a chance getting all of these guys I know but I for one would be a happy man (at least until the summer)
I'm still hopeful that with a wee bit of patience Rossiter and Garner will come good

If a bid came in for Kiernan I would take it even if it was Monopoly money

29 Jan 2017 12:02:58
Moult is gash

29 Jan 2017 12:11:46
A know wallace got caught out when mcdonald missed that sitter but surely as the holding midfielder halliday should have dropped in to cover him but instead halliday was caught in no mans land again what yous think about holt bears cracking wee player but a just feel he's no strong enough at times in a physical match looks like hyndman could keep him out the team

29 Jan 2017 12:22:09
Jaws, you say Wallace was caught upfield, maybe he was, but it is up to someone from the midfield to cover for him, but then they don't have a football brain to do this. Secondly, it is been said many times on here that Tavernier and Wallace get dragged inside, when the 2 CB's get drawn to one side or the other, it is up to the full backs to come in and cover for them. OK it leaves the wide man free, but better than leaving a player free in the box.

29 Jan 2017 12:43:15
I agree keirnans next mistake is never far away and he's not the answer but thought he had a steadier game yesterday apart from his passing.

29 Jan 2017 14:57:51
Cee

I see you haven't been able to answer who was supppsed to be marking McDonald, as for your ridiculous view that it was down to Wallace for not stopping the cross. Could you name me a full back who has stopped every cross into the box?

29 Jan 2017 18:58:16
Wallace was at fault just as he was partly at fault for the goal that Motherwell scored in the cup but wee in week out we are generally critical of the holding midfield and I would have thought that the majority would want to see Halliday replaced. We saw the difference that Hyndman made yesterday when he replaced Holt and personally I suspect that we would see the same benefits both defensively and in building attacks if we had a quality holding midfield player rather than Halliday!

28 Jan 2017 16:10:50
I assume hodson is carrying a knock? I know we joke about tav being undroppable but deary me he was hoaching again today as was halliday sooner we get a sitting midfield player the better! Quality won the game in hyndman amd miller but that's only until may then they both leave club as things stand

28 Jan 2017 18:12:30
One of Taverniers better games today, certainly in the last few months.

Halliday like the rest of the 9 outfield players were poor for the first half hour or so today, but stepped up in the second half.

Neither Hyndman or Miller will leave. Miller will get a new contract and Hyndman will get loaned for another six months at least.

We have a decent sitting midfielder in Jordan Rossiter, just need him getting a run of games before the season ends, then he can kick on for next season.

We win, we complain.

We lose or draw, we want the manager out.

28 Jan 2017 18:40:44
I thought Tav had a decent game, especially since we had lost MOH. There was more Motherwell attacks coming down Wallace's side! Halliday was poor, stray passes, square passes and back passes! He did look better though when he went further forward.

28 Jan 2017 19:37:16
Sorry guys, Tavernier and Halliday were absolutely honking. Both are playing a league above their ability and need to go.

28 Jan 2017 19:58:18
wee-ecky, i really don't think it would matter how well Tavernier played in any game there is a number of fans who would still find fault, Halliday and Holt seem to have been treated differently inasmuch only now many are beginning to realise they have been passengers for a long time.

28 Jan 2017 20:15:42
Tav and Halliday are absolutely gash. So is kiernan canny string 2 passes together. Toral was terrible 1st half. Wallace Mckay Miller Hyndman Hill won us that game.

28 Jan 2017 20:48:39
Rangeken, every game I pray that everyone wearing that jersey plays well, that the team plays well, that the manager gets it right, that our great support is rewarded, that I can cheer to the rooftops. Some let us down more than others, and it's no great feeling to criticise, but today those two were awful. Hyndman was a treat to watch, Toral showed in flashes what he will bring when fully fit, Miller was class - again - and Hill battled all day. And when (if ever) Tav gives us a display to cheer, I'll praise him too.

29 Jan 2017 00:35:28
Not complaining thorn stating fact that as things stand the two best players on pitch today leave at end of season! And I have never wanted the manager out! I just can't get my head round his selection at times why ohalleran in team never offered us a thing and tav and halliday are also poor we have better players twiddling there thumbs on sidelines

29 Jan 2017 16:03:38
Said for a long time now that tav and haliday should be nowhere near the team along with kiernan.

28 Jan 2017 15:36:02
Where can i watch the gers play hearts on wednesday ?

28 Jan 2017 15:40:48
Game is on BT sport so think most pubs will be showing the game

28 Jan 2017 15:47:19
Tynecastle mate lol
But if you don't live here you should try vipleague. mobi

28 Jan 2017 15:25:05
Hyndman could be a Robert Russell type of player in th making, a good eye for a pass and is always available to take the ball, Toral looks to be a good player as well he will be better once his fitness level is up, it would be good if we could sign these two.

28 Jan 2017 15:33:15
I'm sure I read somewhere that he was being touted as the American Pirlo.

He's definitely a great find, well done Warburton.

28 Jan 2017 19:30:44
Hyndman looked quality today and his passing, vision, fitness and his goal were a joy to watch.
Well done Warbs in bringing him to Ibrox.

28 Jan 2017 21:54:28
I don't think any of Hyndman passes went backwards! It was a joy to watch when he had the ball and even though a few of his passes wee sideways he never gave the ball away and most importantly a high percentage of passes went forward!

29 Jan 2017 15:43:42
King, warbs should break the bank to get hyndman permanent, what a difference he made to the midfield. Thought toral looked laboured but showed in glimpses what he can do. Tav kiernan and haliday need to be shown the door. Wallace is a decent player but he is never a captain.

Much better today tho all round. Hyndman again made the difference, his link up play was class. If this boy from west ham comes and has the same impact as hyndman, at cb, and shows kiernan how its done then i'll be happy. Can't wait to watch hyndman at the brox👍

28 Jan 2017 14:37:43
there should be a statue of kenny miller outside ibrox when he hangs his boots up pure class be lost without him right now

28 Jan 2017 15:25:59
Always happy to see his name in the line up and he is nonstop on the pitch!

Great example to any of the lads sitting on the bench.

28 Jan 2017 17:56:02
U want to put a statue up for a player who scored 6 goals this season, wow your standards are really high lol.
Keep up the good work.

28 Jan 2017 18:37:31
A statue of Kenny miller? Jesus.

28 Jan 2017 19:14:50
how a felt at the time. he keeps pulling us out the crap most times and he's 37 plus if your going to have a dig at someone for wht they say at least get your stats right

29 Jan 2017 15:58:34
Unbelievable the fans that gave miller a hard time on these very pages at the start of the season. the giys the ultimate pro and i just hope people can see by that he played for the mhankys and realise he's a true Rangers legend

28 Jan 2017 14:22:44
wish we had funds to buy Emerson Hyndman looks like he will n a cracking player for us well done wee man keep it up

28 Jan 2017 14:33:14
totally agree reads the game really well

28 Jan 2017 14:38:01
Hyndman looks like a very good find

28 Jan 2017 14:40:09
Great performance by Hyndman- just what we have been missing this season
Impressive in the final third can pick out a pass and comfortable on the ball

28 Jan 2017 14:57:10
Good performance today and the boy Hyndman definitely brings something to the team with range of passing. Think Torel will also prove a good acquisition and looked sharper than last week. Kenny Miler's alround contribution is excellent. More of the same against Hearts on Wednesday lads.

28 Jan 2017 15:03:26
But loans don't work, they're a waste of time and resources, we should play our weans first, we're just making them better for their own clubs, you can't plan with loan players - tune changed now?

28 Jan 2017 15:06:29
Toral and Hyndman especially, have shaken up the midfield. We moved the ball quicker, with more purpose, and always looked dangerous.

28 Jan 2017 15:13:04
Hyndman looks to have the makings of a Robert Russell type of player, he has a good eye for a pass and makes himself available to take the ball, Toral will be better once fitter

28 Jan 2017 15:29:49
Hes valued between 800-900k apparently. Could he set to go up if he has a decent season with us.

28 Jan 2017 15:59:22
Have you changed your tune wee ecky, you have been very critical of the club and warburton recently. I respect people that can admit they were wrong, I've certainly been wrong loads of times lol

28 Jan 2017 17:41:30
Loans are fine if you take a player over two years. Short loans make no sense. However they may be the difference of second and third.

Tav and Halluday are gash.

28 Jan 2017 19:43:01
I never once said loan deals were not a good idea, like several others on here have done, Delboy. I also don't criticise the club and make no comment on finances etc as it is outwith my sphere. Criticising the manager and his tactical choices or his selections is different, so no, I haven't changed my tune at all. It seems others have though.

28 Jan 2017 14:21:30
'Why sign loan players? '

Hope Hyndman shut up those questions today, top display.

28 Jan 2017 14:37:14
Totally agree Spoc, hyndman looks a very good player, good fing by a manager who only signs duds lol
All jokes aside hyndman looks like he could be a big asset in midfield, but we still need to score more goals

28 Jan 2017 14:42:09
Well said spoc! These boys have a big part to play in second half of season and I wonder when Garner is back if he will get more goals with these guys in the team. we needed these loan signings to give us more chance of getting second. I do think the right attacking position is up for grabs as not convinced Waghorn or Ohalloran are consistent enough. Should forester or dodo be given a run now?

28 Jan 2017 15:41:25
FFS you guys listening to yourselves?
Yes it was a good 3 pts but against a very poor Team that we struggled against last week and until we scored today.

Yes the 2 loans looked good but again, against a poor team.

The fact we might need them to secure 2nd says it all really.
Warburtons signings have been very poor and he will never do as a manager. It is the guys he didn't sign that keeps him in a job.

Take off the tinted specs guys and see it for what it is. 3 points no more no less

28 Jan 2017 16:53:04
The point was only about Hyndman. So obviously you weren't 'Listening'

28 Jan 2017 16:55:11
Gosman, yet again negativity overshadows a whole host of positives not least another 3 points.

28 Jan 2017 17:48:41
Yet again gosman another anti rangers post from anti rangers fan. can your lot not just enjoy a bloody win, btw Motherwell very nearly beat Celtic a couple of weeks ago at fir park, they ain't that bad on their day.

28 Jan 2017 20:38:19
Full weekend nightshift didn't even see game but just watched highlights there, scored one n set up 2 in a game and a bit for hyndman, boy looks a bit special we've got somebody who can pick out a pass in there now! I've been critical this season but the boys showed some guts today after going down to 10 so early, well in!

28 Jan 2017 14:21:23
Toral looked tidy today very technical needs to get fitter but hyndman so much energy definitely motm... Kenny Miller absolute class

28 Jan 2017 14:08:28
I really like hyndman,,he has been very good plus he creates lots of chances,,but we still don't score enough goals
Ffs why are we taking miller off,,this game isn't done yet,,,and he is the one player i rely on to score

28 Jan 2017 14:16:01
Hyndman is going to b a great player for us. He has it all and his touch and vision is exactly what has been missing in engine room. Hopefully Rossiter will get some game time soon and Halliday can drop out.

28 Jan 2017 14:21:36
Looks like a young Messi, let's hope he plays like him 😂

28 Jan 2017 14:23:33
Hyndman is class

28 Jan 2017 14:23:58
I wonder were that ranks in Fat Mghees list of defeats😂

28 Jan 2017 14:31:01
Hyndman by far the best player on the pitch however think Halliday must have set a world record for the amount of times he gave the ball away. Toral looked good too once he gets up to speed sure he will be an asset

28 Jan 2017 14:40:46
Both of warburtons signings look very good, not bad for a gaffer who only signs DUDS. we looked very good today, after we got over the red card, we never started the game well, but after the first 15 mins we totally controlled the game, very good 3 points

28 Jan 2017 16:57:21
Surely no-one is giving MW credit for those two signings?

That would be like saying he might after all know what he is doing. can't have that on here after all it's a site for Rangers fans!

Good day today. more of the same please

28 Jan 2017 17:49:14
delboy1979 ----- Our manager presumably took Miller off as the result of the horrible tackle on him and the fact that he was given a pain killer on the field of play

29 Jan 2017 15:50:06
thought the lad hyndman was head and shoulders above anyone on the park - ran the game for us today good touch great weight of pass I would luv to see rossiter fit and start in engine room with hyndman and windass or harry halliday is a trier but gives it away too much and caught in possession way too often.

29 Jan 2017 16:01:57
Defo think when we're at full fitness Halliday could struggle to get into the team and i would also like is to b more clinical as some of the attacking posistions we get into are really dangerous

28 Jan 2017 14:08:24
So impressed with Hyndman today what a player he is I hope we can either buy him in the summer or get him for another year! I think he might be in Bournemouth plans for next year if today is anything to go by.

Toral also impressed but Hyndman was a stand out!

28 Jan 2017 14:41:14
Agreed, looks very good

28 Jan 2017 13:39:33
I disagree with the the guys on Sky, I don't see either tackle as a straight red. O'halloran tried to play the ball more clumsy than anything else so definite yellow. MacDonalds was even softer but still a yellow.

28 Jan 2017 13:54:41
Both rightly straight red cards. dangerous play leading with the studs

28 Jan 2017 14:06:25
Cannot believe anyone can say either weren't straight red cards. Stupid and dangerous challenges. Kiernan should also have seen red

28 Jan 2017 14:11:14
Are you joking, both reds in today's game, plus miller could have got his leg broke, or a bad injury, so glad he never, i don't think we can afford to lose kenny

28 Jan 2017 14:26:19
Neither was intentional but both were reckless. definitely reds the both of them.

28 Jan 2017 15:07:25
McDonald definitely went in to do Miller. Watch it again, if you've played you'll know what I mean, Parky7720.

28 Jan 2017 16:05:57
What about Keirnens just before McDonald's, same sort of challenge

28 Jan 2017 19:06:58
Im on the both could have been yellows side, todays game is turning into a big jessies game non contact,

28 Jan 2017 18:47:34
Both sendings off were typical 'forward's challenges' but McDonald is evil so I wouldn't give him the benefit of any doubt. There were a couple of other tackles that merited yellow and one in particular would have reduced Motherwell down to nine players!

28 Jan 2017 20:43:04
2 definite reds ohsllorans was awful so high n reckless. McDonald actually wins ball first but he 100% tried to do miller with the follow through could have easily been a leg breaker

29 Jan 2017 14:23:12
Didn't think Kiernan's was anything more than a yellow. 2 red cards every day of the week

29 Jan 2017 14:24:10
Absolutely both red cards. If that's the type of contribution from MOH then hope he's not involved next week.

29 Jan 2017 16:03:29
I think Mcdonalds was a tad softer but Moh was a defo. got to say Collum got both correct

28 Jan 2017

28 Jan 2017 10:49:58
What's everyone's problem with this new keeper coming in? Gilks wanted first team football but wasn't better than Wes? So we are bringing in a young cheap back up? Seriously some people need to get a grip we need depth in the squad not every signing has to be a marquee one

28 Jan 2017 12:55:11
My problem is not with the player. By all accounts he's a decent keeper and is in good form. My point was, do we need a keeper who won't get a game? We may as well bring kelly back and use him as back up for Wes. Also the reported manner in which rangers are trying to pay the fee in instalments. It's just embarrassing for the fans (if true) . If we don't have any cash then promote youth.
It seems every week our clubs name gets dragged through the press for stupid things and a lot of it is caused by people involved with the club like Dave King.

28 Jan 2017 13:18:23
Yogi don't believe everything you here buddy, I know we are skint but I really don't believe this crap about several 25.g instalments to port vale

28 Jan 2017 08:40:04
It doesn't look like King is going to part with his money so he wasn't entirely truthful with the fans when he said he'd invest his children's inheritance and spend £30 million. Now we are bidding for a Port Vale keeper (no disrespect to him). Surely between the directors/shareholders they can come up with £4 or £5 million for a couple of marquee signings? Lampard would be a great one-year deal and as someone else commented, Zelalem is out on loan elsewhere. Why didn't we get him again? I thought he was good. If we draw or lose today and don't win against Hearts on Wednesday then Warburton must go.

28 Jan 2017 10:14:30
Zelalem was terrible

28 Jan 2017 11:13:34
Zelalem is far to lightweight for this league he struggled last year at times in the championship we need more physical players in our team at the moment I honestly think that is a big part of our problem

28 Jan 2017 13:20:45
Zelalem is going to Dortmund, so he can't be that crap

28 Jan 2017 13:50:28
I don't think he is a crap player I just think he is far to lightweight for the physical nature of the Scottish league especially when he is still developing as a footballer and if he is going to Dortmund I really can't see him walking straight into the 1st team because in my opinion he is not strong enough for the bundisleague either at this point in his career

28 Jan 2017 18:51:14
If you were one of the three Bears or the two Far East guys and you were parting with your cash while Dave King keeps his firmly in his pocket, (assuming of course that he has the type of money he bragged about), would you part with any more funds. I sure as damn it wouldn't unless King stumped up the Investment! We need investment in players but we really don't know what is going on at the club these dos despite the promise of transparency!

29 Jan 2017 10:43:22
Doiger please explain to me why signing Zelalem would be good thing thing because I personally thought he was a major disappointment last year! Will agree without you if we loose today and against hearts warburton should be sacked!

28 Jan 2017 08:08:05
Cmon King! Stump up the cash or promote the young lad kelly. What's the point in paying 250 grand for a bench warmer? We all know that Warburton won't drop Foderingham. Embarrassing for the fans, get a grip man.

28 Jan 2017 05:57:15
Cant believe zelalem is out on loan to vvv venlo. we should of signed him again.
