Can't believe mccoist wants to bring in mcnulty from Livingston. The guy isn't grasping the January reduction concept. Get the fringe players moved on. Trim the wage bill to an acceptable level. And when we get back to the top league that's when he should knock on Wallace's door with a list of targets. Personally I'd keep shiels and put him up front with daily and only if there's striker injuries or the forwards aren't performing. It'd be our loss to get rid of deano, personally think he's a cracking player and knows his way to goal.

Over the last year or two there has been a large numbers of fans calling for Ally to be sacked. I think this is very harsh.

He is Rangers, and so you can guarantee he is just trying to get Rangers back to what they were.

The fact we are over budget is not down to Ally. Its not up to the manager to decide if he has over spent or brought in too many players. The CEO, Chairman and Financial Director manage the budget and tell the manager that they need to get rid of players to cut costs. This was not done with Green and Mather. So all Ally is doing is trying to get the best team to entertain the fans and win the games.

Last season was harsh, there was no pre-season for most of the players and then they were put together at very short notice. But I do admit there wasn't anything to shout about last season. But at least we got promoted.

We have won nearly every game this season and played well in most of them, but you know every team can have an off day. I bet if the current Celtic team played in Div 1, they wouldn't win every game and win in style.

Ally has offered to cut his wages, which should have been done when we dropped down the divisions, but it wasn't. But he has offered it, and when the board is sorted they will cut his wages.

I must admit I don't think Ally is the best manager I have ever seen. And I worry if we ever face Celtic in the cup in the next year or two. But honestly, who would do a better job than Ally just now? Who would drop down the divisions to and stay with them through all the crap that has happened? I realise he has been on good money, but most managers would have left after the administration.

Please back him. He just needs a stable board who set a budget and we can get back to the SPL/ Premiership and be stable.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Rangers fans

John Grieg was Rangers but that didn't save him from the sack for not being good enough. Ally isn't on good money he is on amazing money. He only offered to cut his money once it came out what he was on and not when we were playing in the 3rd division. Another one who then uses the argument about who else would take the job hardly a glowing recommendation for Ally. Ally isn't the man to take the club forward he had an opportunity to bring through the youth players and build a team but what has he done he has overpaid journeymen players. The team isn't being built to challenge on the top league and this will become apparent when we struggle in the top division

"Who would drop down the divisions to and stay with them through all the crap that has happened?"

Is that a serious question? This is Rangers we're talking about. Plenty of much more tactically astute managers would have jumped at the chance to manage our great though troubled club for a tenth of the money Ally is on. Not to mention the 1 penny shares.

We keep hearing of possible payers leaving in January to reduce wage bill, don't get me wrong there are a few who should go to make way for youngsters who will at least put in some effort however after the showing on Boxing Day the first player to leave should be Ian Black, a total waste of space who just spends the whole game moaning at his team mates. He will not be missed.

Agree with post Black has been really poor and isn't worth his weekly wage. He slows the game down too much, makes stupid tackles and passing can be woeful. To me he is what's wrong with Rangers currently. High wages for an average player with no sell on value and by the time we get back to the top league will be done.

Thought Black was a good signing to be fair to the guy. Looked far better when playing with Hearts, I'd guess that like Dean Sheils, Ally probably just doesn't get the best out of him so would be happy enough to see him go. Question is, who would want to pay him anything like the money he will currently be on?

The reason McCoist plays players out of position, he has not got a clue,

Bring back Alex McLeish now, don't wait till we have a few bad results, McLeish with eric black as No 2, is the answer

Agree Ally doesn't have a clue, and not just in how to pick a team?
He hasn't a clue how books get balanced? he just wants to keep spending what's bloody school did this fool go, to? We are losing a million a month, and he wishes to add to it? what a complete person.

Agree, I would give mcdowell a chance

Alex mcleish for me

Op if re were to get big eck the money saved on his wages would probably mean no need for cuts by getting am and also getting rid of fringe players we could maybe strenthin for next season
