Ed when's Murray Park (hate to even write that name) being renamed? Not difficult thing to do. Why so long? Almost 2013.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

I'm sure Mr Green is working through his promises as you type. There is an awful lot of them.

Agree22 Disagree7

It's probably going to be called the new world record park . . shammy

Agree23 Disagree6

I think you'll find that CG is trying to sell off the naming rights. He's in negotiations with a large pharmaceutical company who want to name it after one of its laxatives. Something to do with the amount of crap MP produces. Lol

Merry Christmas to all good Gers. Hope you have a better year in 2013.

Shuggy

Agree15 Disagree15

How long has that been now since Green asked us about changing it, it's another one of his lies to keep fans onside and nobody has got the balls to question him about ALL of his broken promises. We the fans have kept our side of the bargain, the only thing Green has delivered is the share issue, and whose best interest was that in.....Greens!

Agree11 Disagree7

@4 great post! The fans need to start asking the questions if this charlatan Green!

Just wanted to say i was proud to stand in que for an hour today to get my tickets for the away game at Queen's Park. The que was even longer when i came out the ticket office. It is testimony to our loyalty and support that we are going to have such a massive away attendence tomorrow (new record for away attendence?) I think we deserve a renewed pat on the back for our continued outstanding support. Well done fellow bears. W.A.T.P

Believable30 Unbelievable21

Week in week out the club gets stronger
every cold and miserable winters day, that we were told we would be helping the wife wae the shopping...we have stayed loyal, every time you help to tie your little kids scarf to go to the game drives this movement forward
anyone who thinks we wont stay loyal to our way of life look at Hampden park tomorrow....look at the crowd, look at our passion, look at our loyalty...rtid...les

Agree24 Disagree12

Congratulations! You have just set a new record for the use of the phrase "new record". I can hardly wait till Ally parades the attendance cup round Ibrox.

Agree21 Disagree16

What a rediculous post....FFS record attendance for an away game? What about all the previous away games at Celtic park. Yes its good to see queens getting a good turn from the rangers visit, but this crap about world records is really getting embarrassing. possibly the only good thing to come from the oldco demise is that teams from the lower leagues will benefit financially.

Jd

Agree21 Disagree13

Its a chance for the fans to go down memory lane, going to hampden where the oldco had success.because its going to be a long time if ever that the newco get to experience a cup game there.

Agree15 Disagree15

Pity you didn't show the support when it was really needed, but that's what your all about

Agree20 Disagree13

Op.. get your self over to the celtic site and reply to my post from last night .. i've been waiting hours ... nothing .. shammy

Agree6 Disagree9

I was proud to stand in queue for an hour..... really ? you are seriously weird .. proud to stand in a queue. you should get out more often.. shammy

Agree12 Disagree11

No 2 nae chance of celtic winning it is there , must be a lot of peter brays go to parkhead lol doug t.s.o

Agree16 Disagree5

Peter brady (missed out letter ) doug t, s.o

Agree14 Disagree3

Some people do get carried away with stats. The fans have turned out in big numbers- when cfc fans told us we would have no club/ in administration again by xmas etc.

Seems to me, only sensible thing to do is to ignore celtic fans. They are not quite as well informed as they like to proclaim.

Rangers' perilous financial position had been an open secret but there was still shock when, after 140 years of history and a world record 54 league titles, the club was consigned to liquidation in mid-June. The Glasgow giants were subsequently reformed as a new company and granted entry to the Third Division, Scotland's fourth tier, which they currently lead by nine points with a game in hand.

So fifa have said we reformed undet a new COMPANY NOT AS A NEW CLUB.

And reformed is defined as:
Make changes in order to improve it.

THANK YOU FIFA FOR CLEARLY STATING NEW COMPANY AND NOT NEW CLUB AND THANK YOU STATING REFORMED AND NOT NEW.

Surely this puts this argument to bed?

Believable27 Unbelievable36

Granted entry - NOT RELEGATED!

Agree20 Disagree3

When you are promoted you are also granted entey. The clubs vote to allow you in.

Agree3 Disagree7

28 Dec 2012 23:56:45
it does say the club was liquidated not the company...but a new company was granted entry ..surely reinforcing the fact that CLUB and COMPANY are one and the same therefore new company = new club.... but hey dont ever let the truth get in the way of what you all want to believe..lol..no worries every non RFC fan knows its a new club/company and next title is No.1

Agree21 Disagree12

Well said @3) new club/company entering fourth tier. Newco Rangers does not play nor never has played in the SPL. - lord Nimmo Smith.

Agree16 Disagree6

Those promoted to the SP are voted on, those in the SFL are promoted / relegated automatically. The SPL is a separate body hence the vote.

Agree7 Disagree2

Read what the official FIFA page has to say about fiorentina who had the same fate as the Gers, shows they were founded in 19 something and still have all their honours but am sure u will put your own spin on what is being said here.

Agree5 Disagree10

29 Dec 2012 12:00:35
to #6..... has been stated on here many times Italian law different from UK..and old honours were bought by fiorentina ( as a seperate and later deal and for a lot more than Green appears to have paid for the so called goodwill package) also they were bought a good time after the liquidation event and not as some ad hoc post administration deal...as you say thats my (and a lot of other clear eyed people ) take on this ...JohnnyG

Agree10 Disagree2

29 Dec 2012 12:13:11
to No. 6....this from the link you have provided
"The early years of the new millennium were nothing short of catastrophic for the club as it spiralled into debt. Relegated to Serie B in 2002, Fiorentina went into administration shortly afterwards and virtually ceased to exist. Refused a place in Serie B due to its financial woes, the club found a saviour in the city mayor and was eventually re-founded and re-admitted to Italy's fourth tier under the name Fiorentina Viola.

By this stage it had come under the ownership of the influential entrepreneur Diego della Valle, who would engineer their miraculous rise back to the Italian top flight within just two seasons, the club buying back its name in the process, becoming known as ACF Fiorentina"

I would ask you take note that in 2002 they went into administration!! as have many clubs worldwide and were saved by financial savours ...at no time were they liquidated therefore ceasing to exist.... and there lies the difference between your clubs circumstances
and that of the teams who went into and exited administration ....no Liquidation ....this is the crux of the matter the act of Liquidation as opposed to administration {The Ed039's Note - make no mistake, fiorentina are a newco, the original we're not liquidated as we know it as this doesn't happen in Italy)

Agree7 Disagree2

To number 6 what the **** has fiorentina got to do with rangers , what about airdrie diffrent clubs diffrent outcomes

Agree3 Disagree3

If it was the company that went bankrupt why did the club not carry on as it was without a company ?
Because the club does not exist on its own. It was a business which had the word club in its name. All the players were employees of the business. All the fans were customers. Were any of you ever given membership of this so called club ? If not, why not ? How can a club have no members ?

Evening bears.. My team for tomorrow (4-3-3)... Alexander, Hegarty, Perry, Cribari, Wallace, McKay, Hutton, MacLeod, Templeton, McCulloch, Shiels. Subs Curie, Cole Little(if fit), Crawford, Naismith, GowdyWATP54

Believable1 Unbelievable6

I wouldn't have Perry or cribari anywhere near the 1st 11, both weren't missed when injured.

Agree3 Disagree0

Hegarty and mcculloch and cole at r.b if argyriou is injured.
defensively our options are limited.

Think all genuine Rangers fans would welcome any
information on the proposed investigation into the
dealings of Craig Whyte both in the lead up to his
purchase of the club and his actions and dealings
while in control of the club.
Since the take over nothing has been heard, and
although investigations hopefully are still being pursued
it would be good if even that could be confirmed
because this person surely cannot be allowed to
simply ride of into the sunset.
Ed do you know anything? {The Ed039's Note - This is one of the reasons BDO have been brought in as liquidators as HMRC want to be able to go after individuals, their process will take time so I dont think we have heard the last of things)

Believable6 Unbelievable0

The main culprit is SDM. Get after him first. A. Johnstone said there was criminality in the takeover deal and passed the dossier to the police. Where is that investigation? {The Ed039's Note - I think a lawsuit would be difficult to bring up, it would take some cast iron findings against SDM to do that and I dont think they are going to find any)

Agree7 Disagree3

Lawsuit suggests a private/ civil legal battle Ed. Im talking about police and criminal charges. Two totally different things. Easy to prove if corporate laws made by parliament were broken or not.

Agree3 Disagree2

Johnstone was very very vocal and adamant that the law was broken. He's no slouch on such things.

The bottom line is that Rangers are Rangers and will always be Rangers. If they strip titles, if FIFA say we are new club, if those from the East end gloat and call us Sevco or newco or anything else, who cares. We all know who we are, they will never strip titles in my mind, they were won on the park, end of.

Believable27 Unbelievable25

Have fifa released a statment saying we are a new club?

Agree14 Disagree6

As far as I'm concerned it's the fans that make a football club. Generations of a family often support the same club. This out lasts any player/manager/chairman/owner. The support is what defines a team not a law court or governing body. I look forward to our next meeting.

Agree9 Disagree11

This really cracks me up, we play at Ibrox, we are the same fans, we play in blue, and YOU know we are coming you.

Grow up celts and put your willies back in your pants.

PS. If we arent Rangers, Why are you always on our page eh?

Agree21 Disagree15

@3 laughable post mate! Lets face it you would be carrying on the exact same (and possibly a lot worse knowing what your club's supporters are like!) if the shoe was on the other foot!

So best remember that before posting such a childish post!

Agree5 Disagree3

28 Dec 2012 16:23:01
FIFA have stated on their website that Rangers who are playing in the 3rd division of Scottish football are a new and successful club. But also state our old club with 54 titles are no More so we have to accept this. At least they came out and told it as it is not like the SFA.
Bobby {The Ed039's Note - How can we be a new AND successful club??)

Believable22 Unbelievable24

All this stuff is so boring now. Who cares what people think whether it's a new or old club. Us a Rangers fans recognise the club as the same one and others notably Celtic fans don't. Who cares what they think their views are irrelevant

Agree23 Disagree12

28 Dec 2012 17:17:04
12 points clear at top of league and still in scottish cup thats success for a new club

Agree13 Disagree7

Can you provide a link, just looked at FIFA.com and unless my old eyes are failing, I can't find it, or is it just a load of Colin Nish! PB {The Ed039's Note - Yeah I cant find it either)

Agree10 Disagree6

Ed , i've posted the link i think he is referring to on the celtic page . it was written last summer in scotzine mag .. shammy

fifa.com...and look at "12 moments that defined 2012 " just to prove that it isnt colin nish...

Agree5 Disagree5

Bobby me ol son....have a read http://www.fifa.com/classicfootball/clubs/club=31067/index.html

This states Gers were founded in 1873. End of {The Ed039's Note - So thats wrong as well is it not? Rangers were founded in 1872)

Agree0 Disagree6

FIFA will take what the SFA say as the ruling, in the case of Fiorentina it was up to the Italian FA to declare it. It is the same in this case the SFA decide.

Agree0 Disagree5

The OP is talking b*******. Timmy in disguise again.

Agree6 Disagree10

@8 maybe not , as i said at 4 . this does exist under'' rangers history fifa'' .google that, , but it is not official . it was written in the summer .. shammy

Agree6 Disagree2

Total Jimmy Nish! Fifa state no such thing, they merely state after a 140 year history that the company was liquidated! We have 140 years of history....and will continue for 140 more! If other clubs fans have issue with that, then that is their problem and I would suggest a trip to a therapist if it is making your everyday life so unbearable, with the constant obsessing over a matter that in reality is nothing to do with any supporter of any other club! Our club, Our history, our life! We care not for any club other than our own but every other supporter seems hell bent on talking about Rangers! Proves to me that while they claim we are dead and that is that, in truth they know we are still going strong and that is truly what pains them, as they will forever be second best to us!

I await the witty and sarcastic comebacks from the tax experts, legal eagles and financial geniuses of the world.....sorry... meant other clubs supporters! Keep getting those mixed up these days! haha

gmger {The Ed039's Note - Fantastic post)

Agree21 Disagree13

You can't find it because you don't want to {The Ed039's Note - Are you questioning my integrity and impartiality ........ yeah I just read it too, The note and link that everyone is sending is not a FIFA press release)

Agree7 Disagree7

@10. Well said. I've said similar in some of my posts just not as well.

Agree11 Disagree8

@10 total class post .

Agree13 Disagree8

@12, @13 & Ed039. Thank you all kindly! It's always difficult to put into words the general attitude of our support to other supports comments about our club but usually the Nescafe hand action sums it up!
Hope everybody has a very happy new year when it comes!

Correct me if im wrong Ed39. The Gers team were formed 1872 but not officially registered till 1873? {The Ed039's Note - I am not worried about when anything was registered, the football club was formed in 1872)

The STV sport website have a list of 153 SPL players who can talk to other clubs come January. There is a surprising amount of decent young players on the list and if pre-contracts are the way to bring players in then it would be welcoming if we were at least linked with a number of these players.

http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/dundee/207722-the-155-spl-players-who-are-free-to-find-a-new-club-in-january/

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Why would STV conveniently spend money, time and people to compile this for the first season ever? To save Green the expense of doing so? A clear waste of STV stakeholders money.

Agree10 Disagree11

Im sure that once charlie finishes assessing those 19 Euro players he'll get around to it.

Agree11 Disagree5

Why would a young player want to sign a pre contract with ur team when they can't play till Jan 2014

Agree11 Disagree11

World record holders in many catagories, 115 trophies who wouldn't want to paly for the magnificent, the one and only the glorious GLASGOW RANGERS

Agree14 Disagree14

@3 players can be registered sept 13, read a paper ffs

Agree7 Disagree2

SIGN THEM, THEN LOAN THEM OUT

Agree4 Disagree3

@1 so your saying that a news organisation can't report on the potential loss of footballers to the SPL etc.
@2 this was simple media overhyped news only, re regarding players if we stayed in SPL.
@3 there is general confusion to when players can play regarding embargo , it's been stated that clarification has to be sought regarding dates etc .

Agree4 Disagree2

Rangers are buying and signing nobody. End of.
In about 7 or 8 months, for show, guys will be given trials at Auchenhowie, but none will be signed. Same as last few years.
STV did this list for Rangers plain and simple.

Agree8 Disagree4

@1 maybe it's because the spl clubs have been saying how well things are, maybe they are just cutting their cloth and the clubs just can't afford to re sign the players seeing that things are going so well.
Sweet FA to do with RFC and Mr. Green.
Not really surprising that stv find news and want to report it, especially since the spl are doing great even brought back crowd trouble to attract attention.

Agree9 Disagree2

@4: Glasgow Rangers? Is that a new club?

Agree5 Disagree3

maybe we should counter sue kyle lafferty for impersonating a footballer

I'm a Celtic fan and even I totally agree with that.
